"Help!" the tiny young girl shuffled through the darkness in dirt and piles of dead leaves,in her pleas, "Somebody! Please! help me!"

I remember the flashlights...

I took a wrong turn...and I...

"O-Oh-AHHH!"

Fell down the rabbit hole...

And...in that moment...

"Ahh...uh...A-Are...are you...okay...?" a young boy stood over her. He cast a dark shadow, but he wasn't scary. In fact, he seemed far more scared of her. She couldn't see his face, but she could tell by the lavender colored glow of eyes behind the mask that he was timid.

"Please...please help me!" she pleaded.

"I hear her! She went this way!"

"She's hiding in the graveyard!"

The boy flinched at the sound of shifting steps toward them and instantly ran.

"No! Wait please!" the girl cried, "Please don't leave me-"

"Who you talkin' to?" the taunting snickers of the group of bigger kids began to surround her.

"We want our stuff back!"

"I don't have it!" she whimpered.

"Don't lie!" they said, "We know you do. Your mom said fairies steal things-

"O-Only shiny things..." she said, "A-And even those are just stories-"

"Yeah right!" they taunted,"We know you're on the same side as those thieving fairies, Alice! So give us our stuff back.

"B-But I don't have it...lice whimpered, "And I didn't do it-!"

She flinched as they began to raise their legs and fists, ready to beat her up. She curled into herself and prepared for the hurt, when suddenly they all began floating all around her.

"Wh-What's going on!?" they asked, doing somersaults in the air as they tried to straighten themselves out. She held in her her giggles as they rose higher and higher and then dussenly dropped, plummeting into the dirt and graveyard soil.

"It's a curse!" one screamed.

"RUN!" said another.

They all hurried away into the shadows, leaving Alice alone, and unscathed.

Or so she thought.

As it turns out...she wasn't alone after all.

"Um...hi..." she whispered softly, "Were you the ones whosaved me." she reached out a tiny hand toward the gost Poke'mon that surrounded her, and they greeted her with nuzzles in reply.

"Wow...they...really like you."

She gasped. The boy from earlir had returned.

"It's you..." she said softly.

"The ghosts..." he said softly, "They...like you a lot..." he fidgeted with his fingers.

"I like like them too..." she said sweetly while they nuzzled her and she giggled.

"So, you..." she blinked, "...You didn't really leave after all..." she blinked, "Did you?"

He twitched a bit and looked down, his lavender eyes glowed as he held his head down and shook it gently from side to tide, and a smile curled on her lips.

"O-Of course I didn't...not really..." he said, "What kind of person would I be if I just abandoned you when you needed help..." he said softly, "I wouldn't be much of a Gym leader either if I did something like that..."

Her bright eyes widened. A pure blue glow as bright as his eyes glowed lavender...and his breath nearly stopped in his throat before he found his words again.

"A Gym leader?" she asked, "You're a Gym leader even though you're a kid like me?"

"Uh...y-yeah..." he gulped.

"That's amazing!" she beamed. She shot up in her excitement, starting him, in which made her blushed and she softened her tone.

"...You're amazing..." she whispered.

"O-Oh, I...I-I dunno, I..." he fidgeted nervously, undoubtedly blushing behind his mask,"...Th...Thank you..." he fidgeted some more, seeming to contemplate on getting closer to this girl child, who appeared to be around the same age as him,"S-Sorry...if you thought I left you..." he said, "Was was...just'tryin to hide so...I could scare them off for you..."
"I see...said Alice, "So these Ghost Poke'mon, they're yours then?"

He nodded.

"I'm...sorry if we scared you, too..."

"Scared? no way! not me!" she giggled, " I thought that was funny~ hehehe."

"Uh..." the boy blinked as he toon in the image of this strange young girl laughing because of something he did. Thinking that his prank was funny. He took it in, and shared, some soft giggles with her.

"Um...if I may..." he fidgeted, "Why were they chasing you in the first place?" he asked, "All the way into a graveyard no less..."

"W-Well you see..." she gulped, "When my mommy was alive...she used to tell stories...about the fairy type..." she explained, "She said that it was common for fairies to steal things..." she blinked, "But...I like fairy types...I think they're cute..." she said as she fidgeted with her fingers, "Because of that...they think that I am in league with the fairies and am stealing everyone's stuff..." she whimpered and shook her head, "But I didn't do it!" she stammered, "Besides...in those stories...it's only shiny things that get taken..." she said, "A-And...they're just stories...!" she sniffed.

"O-Oh...please don't cry..." said the boy, "They're..." he gulped, "They're just mean...!" he said softly, "Just a bunch of bullies..."

She sniffled softly and rubbed her eyes.

"Thank you..." she said softly, "Thank you for being nice to me, Mr. Gym Leader..."

"O-Oh...it's okay." he said, "I-I mean...no problem!" he said, flailing his hands aboutm "U-Uhm..." he paused and stared at her with his hands up. He then slowly lowered his guard and fidgeted a bit, before reaching a limp and nervous hand forward for an attempt at a hand shake.

"M'Allister..." he said softly.

She blinked as she looked up at him, blinking away her tears as she sniffled and rubbed her eyes with her sleeve before reaching out a tiny hand to put into his.

"I'm Alice..." she said softly.

In that moment...

I found Wonderland.

Time stood still...and for the moment...we were lost in it.

What only took a moment...I wished...could last forever...
