A Light in the Darkness
A/N: This Fan Fiction is based on the Alola region and games (Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon) featuring CanonXOC . It is based on the GAMES and NOT on the anime.
Once upon a time there was light in my heart...
Now... I feel lost in the dark...
Her eyes glazed over...reflecting nothing but the images of whatever passed by. The worl of Poke'mon is a wonderous worl...by land...by sea...by sky...but nothing lit her up anymore. It all happened so fast...so suddenly. One day she had both of her parents...
A loving...happy home...there was not a thing wrong...not that she could realize, anyway...but people can wear masks to hide their truest natures...Even those closest to you.
"We're almost there, Luna." Lunarianne Rose...that was her name. Luna...for short. "Do you see those islands? in the distance? That's the Alola region." said her mother, "That will be our new home, from now on...it's quite a long ways away from Kanto, isn't it?" she chuckled.
Luna's eyes were hazed. two clear orbs that once shone like starlight, their own glow about them...were now faded, and empty.
"It's gonna stink..." she said softly, hugging her knees as she sat by the front of the ship watching the approaching islances slowly come into vew against the darkening sky that was fading into the vibrant colors of pink and purple and blue hues that you see at sunset...just as day turned to night...but even that didn't polish them.
"...I liked our old home..." she said softly with a sigh, hugging her knees.
Her mother sighed and gently placed a slender palm to her daughters silvery hair dusted in shades of pink. It was soft while running her fingers through the silky locks.
"...I know sweetheart." she said softly, "I'm sorry your father made our home not feel like home, anymore..." she sighed, "Think of it like an adventure." she tried to console her child, "Just imagine all of the new places and new faces you'll see." she smiled, "All of the new poke'mon waiting to meet you..."
Out of no where it seemed...her took everything from them. All of their poke'mon, all of their valuables, and sold them all for a large sum of money...and he took all of that with him as well when he left. They had nothing left. They couldn't afford their home anymore...Besides even if they could have stayed, the memories there now were all tragic ones of mourning and loss...
It was time for a new start...what better place than on a series of islands on the far side of the opposite end of the sea?
One would think living in the islands would be hefty on the wallet...but Luna's mother actually managed to find a decent place for an affordable price in the Alola region. The people jhere were more than generous enough to help them out in a pinch. The Alolan Hospitality, they call it. Luna's PDA began making repetitive notification sounds.
"Look dear," her mother blinked, "it says it's from the Alolan Region's Professor Kukui..."
"Who calls so late at night?" Luna wondered...no matter she picked up, anyway.
"Ah! So it went through!" a tan man on the other side of the screen beamed, "I was beginning to worry since it was dark out,I thought you might be asleep." he chuckled.
"We were going to wait until we made it to the islands." Luna responded, "We can see them just ahead..."
"Ahhhhh that's right~" said the Professor, "The day has finally come where you will be moving to Alola, huh?" he grinned, "Then I called just in time." the Professor seemed to be a bit of an odd ducklett...but he came across friendly enough, "I had just finished your trainer registration." he stated, "So I thought it might be a good idea to tell you a little bit about the new region you will be residing in now." he smiled as he pulled up a map pf the entire Alolan region, "Alol is a region made up of several islands." he stated, "As such, our region is chock full of many different variants and rare poke'mon, yeah!" he grinned, "There's no shortage of them I can tell you that!"
"Wow, how exciting~!" Luna's mother chuckled. She had been listening and watching from behind her child.
"Exciting~ indeed it is, yeah!" laughed Kukui, "I look forward to finally meeting you officially once you're all settled in." he smiled, "Meanwhile as you come to port, I will let everyone know you are arriving!" he beamed, "See you soon, cousin!"
The video call ended there.
"That Professor Kukui sure seems like a real hoot, doesn't he?" her mother chuckled. "Ah, come on then, we're docking soon...help me with the luggage, will you?"
"Sure mom." Luna said softly and sighed as she slipped her PDA back into her pocket. As she moved to follow her mother, something strange moved within her...She couldn't tell what it was...
Like...some kind of calling...as though she were being watched.
Was she maybe...supposed to be here? Was this meant to be? Is it written in the abundance of stars above this new Alolan sky? She shot her gaze to the star lit sky...but saw nothing within it...strange.
Very strange indeed...
