The Girl In White
A/N: This Fan Fiction is based on the Alola region and games (Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon) featuring CanonXOC . It is based on the GAMES and NOT on the anime.
Indeed Iki Town truly was close by. In fact it was just an up-hill walk from Lunarianne's home, so it really didn't take long to get there at all...however she didn't even make it through the entry gate before being bombarded by a young boy who was no older than her coming the opposite way.
The people around this region seem to be really active at night...
She thought to herself.
It's like day time for them...
"Huh? Hey...hey!" the boy blinked as he gave her a once over. A look of awkward expression came to her crystal-like eyes while she held Pleo in her arms as the boy greeted her so...excitedly?
"You're the new trainer to Alola, right?" he asked, "Lunarianne, right?" he beamed. He was a highly spirited young man with a grin a mile wide and tied back brown hair against tan skin...standing side by side next to a porcelin doll like Luna, it was clear to see he was a local.
"Cool, cool!" he beamed, "My name is Hau...I was so excited to meet you!" he stated.
"Really?" Luna blinked curiously, "...Word seems to travel pretty fast around here, huh?" she asked.
"HaHa well, Alola is a pretty tight knit region." the boy explained, "We're all like family around here, hence why we calle achother cousin." he stated, "Anyway, I couldn't wait to choose my partner Poke'mon with you, Cousin! So I'm stoked- Oh but...hey..." he blinked as he finally seemed to take notice of the little bundle of blue in her arms, "...Did you choose your partner already?" he asked.
"Ah ha ha...sorry Hau..." Kukui chuckled apologetically with a hand behind his head. "I'm afraid we had a bit of an incident earlier...so I went ahead and let Luna go ahead and choose first...but there are two left if you would like to choose from them." he stated.
"Fair enough." the boy beamed, "it must have just been fate that they were brought together then." he stated, "I had already decided that I wanted to choose Litten so...perhaps destiny is setting the pace here!" he laughed.
Fate?
Destiny?
This boy sure is chipper isn't he...?
Honestly...it was a nice breath of fresh air...with so much negative holding her down for so long, the positive influence might actually do her some good...And he may not be completely wrong about destiny...
She felt the eyes from the sky again...but when she looked up...all she saw was thousands of stars...
What's this feeling I just can't shake off...?
She wondered.
"And we're here!" Kukui beamed as the three stepped foot through the entry posts together, "This here is Iki Town...a small little place home to many big hearts much like Hau." he stated, "This town here is where folks come to worship the Poke'mon that watches over Melemele Island." he explained.
"Worship a Poke'mon?"
"Sure!" said Hau, "Tapu Koko keeps us safe, ya know?" he grinned.
this was a bit odd for her...she had never heard of a Poke'mon being worshipped before...but then there are some legends...
Kukui seemed to poke his head around and let out a sigh.
"It looks like the Kahuna is nowhere to be seen, huh?" he sighed, "Perhaps there's some trouble somewhere that needed some fixing, yeah?"
"Yeah, Tutu wandered off without a word to anyone, really..." Hop ponmdered, "I wonder what he's up to..."
"Tutu?"
"Ah right, of course." Kukui chuckled, "Luna, the kahuna here, also happens to be Hau's own grandfather...pretty neat right?" he beamed...but it seemed Luna's mind was elsewhere as she had caught glimpse of a white motion ahead through a darkened path way that was lit by tiki torches...Aside from the figure just missed by here eye sight...there was a strange calling she could feel from there...
Something tells me...I need to go that way...
She thought to herself.
"Ahhh..." Kukui chuckled, "That's the way to Tapu Koko's ruins." he explained. Apparently the white figure was missed by his eyes.
"Why not take that way and pay them a visit?" he asked, "That's our island's deity, so I am sure Tapu Koko would like to meet you too, yeah?" he chuckled," Maybe if you introduce yourself, you might get a chance to meet the deity yourself." he stated, "I'll wait around here for the Kahuna."
"...Very well." she said softly, "then I'll see you soon..."
Mahalo trail held its own mysterious air about it...she could feel it as she wandered through in silence. it was peaceful...but something also seemed to be off about it...
"AHH!"
There it was.
just ahead a figure in white moved...it was defintely a person. She could hear the whispers...
"Shh...I know, I know!" it was a girl, "I'll take you to the ruins...so please stay in the bag...we could get in trouble if anyone sees you...!"
Lunarianne's eyes widened.
Curiouser and curiouser...
She thought to herself, and followed along behind silently...hoping for a chance at a closer view...
"Ahhhh!" the girl's screams startled Luna, encouraging her to move faster. When she arrived she came across a horrific scene...it seemed a small Poke'mon had shot from the bag the girl was carrying and landed itself in an entrapment of Spearow over a rickety bridge...It wasn't until upon closer discovery...when Luna realized who it was when the girl turned toward her...Platinum hair flying...bright eyes full of fear and tears with shaking knees in her all white dress...
Luna's eyes widened.
"...it's...you..." she whispered softly.
That's her...the girl I had been dreaming about...but...
"Who...are you...?"
With a quivering lip the girl shook her head while she spoke in a tremble.
"N-never mind me, please...please go help it..." she begged, "Save Nebby!"
"Nebby...?" Luna blinked as glanced toward the bridge...the small Poke'mon was surrounded by Spearow.
I see...so she calls it Nebby...
But I wonder what type of Poke'mon it is...
She blinked.
I've never seen anything like it before...
"Please save Nebby!" the girl begged again, "I'm not a trainer-I can't..."
"Okay...calm down." Luna spoke softly, "Spearow are fierce and wildly territorial." she explained, "We had pleanty of them back home...you can't be frantic with them...it will only make things worse."
"R-Right, okay sorry..." the girl spoke softly.
Luna swallowed hard, taking careful steps to try to approach the victimised creature without drawing too much attention to herself...but with each shake of that rickety bridge, attention was gained.
"Eek!" she could hear the girl squeal as one by one the stragglers started to attack Luna, with Pleo in her arms, the Popplio started blowing balloons, ensnaring them one by one and floating them off.
"Thanks Pleo...I owe you one..." she said softly, hugging the poke'mon close to her body. The walk was a shaky one as she finally made it to nebby's aide...but the bubbles didn't hold them off for long, and the Spearow swooped in all at once.
With a whimper, Luna instinctavely threw herself over the smog like creature that the mysterious girl in white called "Nebby".
Not this time!
She thought to herself.
This time, I will-
A burst of a sudden surge of power surrounded her, bafflinf her in shock.
Is this little Poke'mon the one emitting such a power!?
She wondered as she tried to hold both Pleo and Nebby close to her body. But that sudden surge, damaged what remained of the plank bridge, and it shattered beneath them.
Falling...I'm...falling...
She thought to herself as she could hear the swiftly running water rushing through the jagged rocks beneath them.
So...is this...how I...?
In a flash, a pair of surging arms wrapped around her and the bodies of the Poke'mon she carried. She was caught just before she hit the water, and was broght safely back to stable ground just before the pair of little white boots.
This...feeling!
She gasped as she locked eyes with the Poke'mon that returned her to safety. These eyes...These were the eyes that she kept feeling watching her all this time...staring intensely at her.
"You..." she whispered out, "...Were you the one...that has been calling me?"
Without any sort of response...the creature was gone. Shooting through the sky in a ball of its own lightning. Meanwhile, the girl has gasped and instantly returned to the matter at hand.
"Thank goodness, you're all right!" she stated.
"Ahh...y-yeah..." Luna sighed, relieved as she tried to return Nebby to this girl...but the Poke'mon's interest had been caught by something else.
"What is that...a sparkling stone?" the girl asked as she retrieved the item, "It feels almost warm somehow..." she said softly, "O-Oh, please forgive me!" the girl bowed politely over, rosey in the cheeks, "I'm so grateful to you for helping us out of that dangerous spot-"
"It's...no problem really." Luna said softly, "...I'm glad I could help...but..." she blinked as eyes held their gaze upon the girl before her. The girl who had been haunting her dreams...now stood before her.
Was this that destiny that Hau spoke of before...?
"...Who are you?" she asked again, she had not received an answer the first time."
"O-Oh i'm..." she blinked, "...my name is Lillie." she said softly.
"Lillie..." Luna repeated, "I...am Lunarianne...but...you can call me Luna."
"Luna..." Lillie repeated softly and took Luna's hand into her own, "I suppose this stone belongs to you, then." she stated. handing back the small treasure left behind by the Poke'mon that saved her.
"Please don't tell anyone about this..." Lillie said softly, "...About seeing Nebby...it's a secret." she spoke this while gesturing for the creature to return to the duffel she carried, "We better see our way back to town now..." she said softly, "I'm worried we'll be questioned as it is...if we don't get attacked again." she sighed.
"Yeah...you're probably right..." Luna said softly as she lifted Pleo back into her arms, "Go on then..." she said softly, "I'll see the way."
Lillie nodded and adjusted her bag before taking the lead...
Luna soon followed, but stopped, glancing one last look to the sky.
Curiouser and curiouser...
She blinked.
...And ever more curiouser...
