"Luna!" Kukui called out with a wave of his arm as he noticed the two girls come into view, "Ahh-I see you have met Lillie, yeah?" he smiled,"She's my assistant."

"You don't say?" Luna blinked and glanced curiously to the girl beside her.

"But I thought you were with the Kahuna?" he asked.

"Kahuna Hala said he had something he needed to tend to so he left Town on his own for a bit." Lillie explained, "I just thought I would take a stroll up Mahalo Trail while I awaited his return."

"I see...so that't how you met our new neighbor, Luna, huh?" he chuckled, "She just got to Alola yesterday...be sure to help her around, yeah?"

"Of course...!" Lillie smiled and bowed politely, "it's nice to meet you."

"The Kahuna is back!"

"Kahuna Hala has returned!"

A small commotion began to buzz around the locals as an older, heavier set gentleman made his way through the small gathering crowd of admierers.

"Have I missed something?" he asked, beady eyes shifting through the faces of his people.

"There you are, Kahuna Hala!" beamed Kukui, "Was there some kind of trouble?"

"Just got caught up in the middle of some brawling Rockruff, that's all." he chuckled, "Though oddly enough...I thought I saw Tapu Koko flying about for some odd reason..."

"Oh...yes, Kahuna Hala!" stated Lillie, "We were attacked by a flock of spearow on the plank bridge...and Luna wound up falling through the collapse of the wood toward the Ravine!" she stated, "But then the island's deity swooped in to save them!"

"...So that was the Island's Deity?" Luna asked curiously.

So that was Tapu Koko...?

"Well now, that's something you don't see every day!" said Kukui in shock, "I'm glad you're all right, Luna..."

"Indeed." said Hala, "Although it's said to protect us, our Tapu Koko is a rather fickle creature..." he stated with arms folded curiously, "And yet our guardian was moved enough to save you..." his gaze held heavy on Luna for a while...as though trying to read her. Trying to figure out why Tapu Koko did what it did...if there was any deeper meaning behind it, as the girl herself was clueless to what her own destiny may hold now...

He mustered up a smile and glanced over to Kukui.

"Kukui, my boy...I think we have cause to celebrate!" he grinned, "It looks like we have a brave and kind new trainer in our midst."

"Brave, and kind? Me?"

Hala nodded.

She blinked curiously as she exchanged a glance with Pleo, her newly found partner who also seemed to see this strange light in her that Luna seemed un aware of herself.

Am I even capable of feeling and understanding such things anymore...?

I'm happy to meet you, child." he said softly, "I am Hala...the Kahuna of Melemele Island." he grinned, "Welcome to Alola, Kukui mentioned that you were coming...I'm glad we got the chance to meet today." he smiled.

"M-me too..." Lillie said softly, "Nebby...seems to have taken a liking to you."

"And here's a gift from me as well to help comemorate this day." said Kukui as he handed Luna a new poke'dex.

"Your older one was a bit oput dated...it wouldn't have been able to register any of the new poke'mon on the Island." he explained, "So I made sure to give you proper upgrades...a true Trainer should always be prepared, yeah?" he stated, "And I also finished your Trainer Passprt." he stated, "Since you're transferring from a new Region and all."

"Oh wow..." she said softly. She wasn't sure how else to respond, "...Thanks a lot, Professor."

"Happy to help." Kukui beamed, "Come along then...I'll get you home-"

"Oi! Luna! Wait up!" Hau called to her from the posts and rushed to greet them.

"What is it, Hau?" Hala blinked, "Did you forget something?"

"Says he who took off on a little stroll and sing forgetting to say a word to anyone..." the boy mumbled.

"Hm? Say...Luna...What's that shiny in your pocket if I may ask?" he qondered, "Would you be so kind as to let me have a look at it?"

"Oh, uh...sure." Luna said softly, placing the sparkling stone gently into Hala's hand.

"No way...could it be!?" Hau blinked, "Tutu...isn't that...?"

"Hmmm..." the old man hummed curiously as he ran his thumb and forefinger through his mustash, "You mentioned you were rescued by Tapu Koko...is this correct, Luna?"

"Oh, uh..." she blinked, "Yes, that's right...that's also how I wound up getting that stone..."

"Hmm...so it even deigned to give you a stone, did it...?" he blinked and held his gaze on the girl once again, "Perhaps you are here, Luna...because this, is where you're meant to be."
