A/N: This Fan Fiction is based on the Galar region and games (Sword/Shield) featuring CanonXOC It is based on the GAMES not the anime/manga. And to clarify confusion (because I know I have written multiple fic based on these games XD ) This is a completely different and separate story from the other Sword/Shield fics I have written. They are not connected and they do not interract.
The two kids sighed in disappointment as they stumbled their way into the yard of a nice stone house a little ways straight from Wedgehurst.
"Sorry mate, I really did try." said Hop.
"It's okay...I appreciate the gesture~" Nouii said softly. "It's funny how when you least expect to see them certain Poke'mon are everywhere...and yet when you actually start looking for them suddenly they are no where to be found." she chuckled, blinking about her surroundings, "Say...where are we anyway?" she wondered, "Are we lost?"
"No way, mate, I wouldn't get you lost on your first day!" said Hop, "You're at my house!" he explained, "Your house is just up the hill there, see?" he said smiling as he pointed up ahead to another stone house that seemed to have natural decoration of blossoming vines beneath the shade of some large trees from a forest near by.
"Wow..." she whispered softly.
Okay so...the guy got a nice little place near his old home I guess...
She thought to herself. She had been wondering about this new house for a while...
"I'll take you to your place in a bit." said Hop, "I just need to check in with my mum right quick, come with me, yeah?" he offered.
"Oh, okay." she stated, "Mom's probably waiting for the movers anyway...and I don't feel quite ready to unload boxes just yet." she laughed.
"Oh! There you are, Hop, dear..." an older woman who looked like the boy that lead her inside greeted him while dabbing away at damp hands with a dish rag, "You took off in such a rush this morning I didn't get the proper chance to say Good morning!" she stated.
"Sorry, mum." Hop chuckled, "Lee called me this morning asking me to rush off to Wedgehurst so I could meet with Kalia and help her to their new place.
"Oh have they arrived safely then?" his mom smiled, "That's so good to hear, I had been looking forward to meeting Kalia for quite some time now..."
"Aye." said Hop, "This is her daughter, Nui-"
"Actually, i-it's Nouii..."
"Noy?"
"N-No...Nouii..." she chuckled, "It's okay really...it takes a bit of getting used to...you can call me Nui if you want, it's probably much easier."
"No way!" Hop huffed, "I don't want to call you by something that's not your name-give me some time mate, I'll get it!" he stated, "So Mum...is he here yet?"
"Who?" his mother blinked.
"Leey!" said Hop, "Have you got him crammed in a cubord?"
"Oh I'm afraid he hasn't arrived yet." said his mother checking the clock, "Ah, but he should be shortly...If the time he gave me is correct he should be just arriving at the station Wedgehurst about now."
"Ahhh, I just came from there." Hop sighed with a chuckle, "I better go back though...you know lee is hopeless with directions." he smiled, "I'll make sure he doesn't get lost on the way, I know he's been excited to see kalia again and all that."
""Oh would you?" Hop's mother chuckled, "That would probably be best..."
"You should come along too, Nouii~" said Hop, "You still haven't met my bro, right? I remember him saying about how he was looking forward to finally meeting you for the first time..."
"R-Really?" Nouii blushed softly.
He...actually wants to meet me?
She blinked. her mother has had plenty of dates with other guys before hand after her father left...but after Nouii came into the picture, those relationships went sour. So it was a pleasant surprise to hear that this time, the guy her mother was seeing also wanted to meet her as well.
"Well? Come on then!" Hop grinned, "You can't miss out on your chance to meet the undefeated Champion!" he stated, "Especially if you are going to be living together now~" he waved her to follow along, "I'll wait for you En Route!"

It was crowded at Wedgehurst station this time around. It seems the return of the Champion was long awaited. Hop and Nouii had to fiddle around in the back of the crowd trying to help each other see the situation. Before the gathering spectators a man stepped forward. It was an all toio familiar presence that Nouii had seen on the telly plenty of times over on their way to Galar alone.
"Hello once again Wedgehurst~Your champion Leon is back!" he grinned and shot his signature Charizard pose.
"Iiiiiit's~ CHAMPION TIME!" and the crowd went wild, all matching his pose and each one calling and cheering trying to grasp his attention. He did his best to greet them all while Hop stood back with his arms folded and a prideful grin, "Yes, I'm happy to see all of you as well but I'm afraid i really must be going now." he stated and waved, "You see, I have a prior engagement-"
Lee! hey LEE!" Hop called out, jumping about while waving his arms for his brother's attention, and it seemed leon did take notice.
"Hop~" Leon beamed and stepped forward through the crows that opened a path for him, "So my number one fan in all the world as come out of his way to pick me up?" he chuckled, "Did you manage to make it in time this morning?"
"Aye! Kalia is already at the new house waiting on the movers as we speak." Hop grinned while casually stepping adie to reveal a shy faced Nouii beside him.
The man Hop called Lee let out a soft gasp as he took notice of her.
"I see...and these bright eyes over here..."
She was in shock.
Seeing Lee in person like this...he just gave off this...presence...
It felt warm...and inviting...welcoming...
"Oh yeah, this is-"
"Nouii~!" Leon beamed, "I have heard loads about you from your mother, Kalia..." he stated, "I've been looking forward to meeting you for a very long time."
"Ahh...y-yeah..." she blushed, "...Me too."
She wasn't sure if that was actually true yet...it just felt right to say...seeing as her mother seemed quite sure on this man...she promised that she would do her best to get on right with him as well.
"Come on Lee!" Hop beamed, "And you too, Nouii, let's race back to the house? Ready!? GO!" and he was gone.
"Ahh hey, that was hardly a count down!" called Nouii and Leon chuckled.
"Well that's Hop for you." he smiled, "Always wanting to be the best...he can't sit still for anything." he smiled shaking his head, "Your mother tells me you have the same issue?" he asked chuckling with a raised brow while the girl blushed.
"Wha- I uhh-" she gulped, blushing harder, "Th-This is a race, isn't it!?" and with that, she was gone in a dash.
"H-hey, wait a sec!" Leon sighed, "Man you really are like Hop aren't you!?" he could hear her laughing ahead and he couldn't help but let one out himself as he chased after the two who dashed ahead.
So much for getting to know her on the way home...
Leon thought to himself with a slight pout. This was a bit more awkward than he anticipated...She seemed to be deliberately avoiding being alone with him for too long...and he could feel it.
Hopefully that was a habit he could one day break her from...
