A/N: This Fan Fiction is based on the Galar region and games (Sword/Shield) featuring CanonXOC It is based on the GAMES not the anime/manga. And to clarify confusion (because I know I have written multiple fic based on these games XD ) This is a completely different and separate story from the other Sword/Shield fics I have written. They are not connected and they do not interract.
"Hop...! Nouii...!" leon's muffled voice could be heard in a distant cry, inducing a subtle groan from the two who now lay sprawled across a mossy floor.
"...Can you hear me...? Hop...! Nouii...!"
The two slowly stammered to their senses and stumbled to their feet.
"Nouii..." Hop called to her softly, and when she responded with a head shift and a weak smile with a blinking of her golden eyes, Hop sighed in relief.
She's okay...
He thought to himself.
That was terrifying...
"Hm...Lee?" the boy blinked, "How'd you manage to find your way here?" he asked, "You're pants with directions... "
"Hop said that he thought I lost you earlier on..." said Nouii.
"Oh THAT'S nice to hear from two of the most important people in the world to me-WHO HAD ME WORRIED SICK, I MIGHT ADD!" Leon hunched to his knees and sighed, "Thank goodness...I'm so glad you're all right..."
Nouii didn't know how to process this...
He was worried about me?
She blinked.
I can understand him worrying about Hop...but...me?
I'm not even his kid...and yet...he bows his head...
"I-I'm sorry!" she said suddenly, startling the man to look up at her with a questioning look in his eyes.
"You told me not to come in here...b-but I did anyway...I disobeyed your orders and then got Hop involved- and now you've had to come looking for me-us-and-"
"H-hey Nouii...Nouii!" Leon called her name repeatedly buit he couldn't even get a word in edge wise.
Here it comes...
Nouii thought to herself in a panic,
I've angered him, I know it-
But much to her surprise, she found herself wrapped up tightly in a warm, loving embrace...adding to her confusion.
"Nouii...you're my girlfriend's daughter..." he said to her softly, "I love your mum...so naturally, that means I love you too, dove." he said to her, "Your mum...she's worried sick...when she worries...I worry...especially when it comes to your sake!" he stated softly before pulling away to meet her at eye level while he spoke, "...Hop and I were waiting for ages for you...but you never showed up." he said, "So of course we would worry- and when Hop disappeared into the Slumbering Weald to look for you, Naturally, I would come looking for both of you."
"She thought you were furious with her, Lee." said Hop.
"What?" Leon blinked.
"Seriously, you should have seen her earlier...she was so grief stricken because she thought she had angered you.
"Well...I'm not thrilled." leon sighed, "But I'm far from angry..." he stated, "More than anything, Dove...I was just worried." he smiled.
"See?" Hop grinned, "I told you if you just talked to Lee, everything would be all right." he folded his arms, "You were all worried for nothing!"
Nouii blushed shyly kicking her foot to the dirt while her Grookey chirped cheerfully, relieved to see that its Trainer's mood had imrpved a slight.
So all this time...Nouii was distraught because she thought she had angered me so severely?
Leon blinked curiously.
Do I...come off that strict!?
Still though...he was relieved to say the least. After all...he had thought she was the one upset with him...
Turns out they were both struggling with the same problem in the end.
"Ahh...th-the Wooloo!" Nouii stammered.
"What?" Leon blinked.
"Right! that Wooloo!" said Hop, "She was trying to rescue that Wooloo-and I was trying to help her do it!"
After processing this new found information on why Nouii was within these woods...Leon smiled with relief and stepped aside, revealing his Charizard, hoving over the small lamb.
"The little chap's just fine." he stated, "Though...by the time I got here...you all had fainted." he said softly, "I told you this place was out of bounds Nouii...but it took courage to come in here all the same."
The girl gasped softly and looked up to the man who smiled down at her with pride.
"And..." he chuckled and leaned down to her level once again, "I understand well enough now on why you did it." he chuckled, "And you little brother, without a thought you came in searching for the sake of Nouii's own safety...you did good Hop."
"Heh..." the boy chuckled sheepishly, a small blush on his cheek as he scratched his nose, "Well...at least that Wooloo is all right, yeah, Nouii? And so are you~" he grinned.
"Thanks to you..." Nouii smiled giggling softly.
"Hey, what else are big brothers for? Right Lee?"
"What?" Leon blinked, "Who on earth decalred you as her brig brother?" he asked with his hands to his hips.
"See, that's what I said!" said Nouii.
"Right?" Leon nodded, "If anything Hop, you're her uncle-"
"NOPE! We're not going with that!" Hop said throwing his hands up while the three laughed together.
"Man...I sure thought we had it when that mad Poke'mon attacked..." stated Hop, "But at least it wasn't for nothing!"
"What? Attacked by some mad Poke'mon?" Leon blinked, "How do you mean?"
"Well for starters...it seemed far stronger than any Poke'mon I had ever seen!" said Hop.
"Uh-huh! And Every attack we made on it...just seemed to pass right through it..." said Nouii, "Like a Ghost or something!"
"A ghost huh?" Leon blinked and folded his arms, "So then...could the fierce Poke'mon within these woods possibly be illusions or something?" he hummed a bit before chuckling and flashing them a smile, "Who knows? Perhaps one day, when you two get strong enough...you will be the ones to find out, yeah?" he grinned, "Now come on then...let's push on home." he stated, "Your mother is spare with worry Nouii."
"Yeah..."Nouii nodded, "All right, Lee." she smiled.
With a firm nod he took the lead, with her following closely by his step, as he held her hand firmly in his. Part of her punishment, to ensure she didn't run off again, blushing harshly while Hop snickered about it the whol way out.
"Man...this is embarassing..." she mumbled.
"Well...maybe next time you won't run away again then, hm?" Leon hummed, chuckling as he held her hand even tighter when she tried to pull it away and she groaned.
"All riiiiight~ I get it alreadyyyyyy~!" she whined with a pout, which in the end, only made Hop laugh harder.

"Wow! Sounds like you had quite the experience there!"
"Yeah for sure...even if it ended with Lee giving us an earful...and to me having to come home to another one from him-AND my mom!" she giggled blushing awkwardly as she shared her nightly phone call with her Uncle Kukui who by this time was basking in the Alolan sun.
"Anyway, I better head off for the night." said Nouii, "I am supposed to be heading back to Wedgehurst again with Lee and Hop tomorrow."
"Oh? And will Lee be holding you hand on the way there as well?" her uncle snickered.
"Good NIGHT Uncle Kukui!" she huffed with a blush before ending the call with a
CLICK.
