A/N: This Fan Fiction is based on the Galar region and games (Sword/Shield) featuring CanonXOC It is based on the GAMES not the anime/manga. And to clarify confusion (because I know I have written multiple fic based on these games XD ) This is a completely different and separate story from the other Sword/Shield fics I have written. They are not connected and they do not interract.
They hurried on to Route 2...
Only Leon was no where to be seen.
"You don't suppose he got lost on his way here, do you?" Nouii wondered. From all she's heard from Hop in regards to his brother...she's come to learn that it was quite common for him.
"Perhaps." said Hop, "After all...Lee really is pants with directions..." with folded arms he shook his head and gave a sigh, "Well...if they were going to be waiting anyway...it wouldn't hurt to have a laugh!"
"Huh? about what?" Nouii responded with a confused expression as the boy wore a cheeky grin.
"...I don't suppose you will need Lee to hold your hand En Route here as well...eh, mate?"
"Ooh, Shut it!" Nouii huffed with a pout as she puffed her cheeks as the boy snickered.
"What are we talkin' about?" Leon popped in suddenly with a beaming grin from behind Nouii who let out a yelp-along with a startled Hop-while the girl practically leapt into his arms and he held her tight, both looking at the sudden guest with wide startled eyes.
"...Well...I see you two are getting along mighty fine then, yeah?" Leon questioned, with arms folded and a tilt of the head. Not quite grasping what the older man was getting at, they shot a glance to each other, then at their current position, and immediately hopped back apart from each other about two feet while he laughed.
"Good call, little brother- She's off limits!"
Hop blushed.
"Lee! Don't be weird!" he huffed with a sigh, "Sheesh, just to throw him in a tizzy maybe you and I should kiss or something." Hop joked.
"I have you know that I plan for my first kiss to be romantic with a true Prince Charming- Thank you very much!" the girl huffed.
"Pfft aye...good luck with that one." Hop scoffed playfully with a grin, "Lee where did you even come from anyway?" he asked, "Popping out of nowhere like that...Was there a particular reason you wanted Nouii and I to meet you here?" he wondered.
"Well...initially I was planning to teach you guys a bit about how your Poke'dex works by showing you how to catch Poke'mon properly...only..." he blinked, "Look at you, little Nouii~" Leon smiled, "You've already caught some on your own, did you?" he chuckled, "Did your mum give you tose Poke'balls then?"
"Yeah..." Nouii nodded, "Only...I ran out before I got here..." she gave a sheepish grin.
"Did you?" Leon chuckled, "As exciteable as Hop I see..." he smiled as he handed her a bag, "Good thing I went shopping then...so here, I'll give you some more."
Her eyes went wide with glee.
"Oi, what gives Lee!? No fair!" said Hop, "Why not give me some too!?"
"Because I know you, Hop." said Leon, "And as such, I know you are already packed to the brim on Poke'balls-AND potions...In fact I bet that's what you spend your allowance on, isn't it?" Leon snickered.
"Worth a shot." Hop chuckled, "Did Nouii's mum not lend her any pocket money then?"
"A-Actually...she did, but..." Nouii blushed, "...I spent it on some new clothes, since I already had some Poke'balls and Potions..." she still had a bit left over, but she thought it wise to save it for later.
"Ahh...typical lass, eh?" Hop smirked.
"Oh, come off it!" she huffed.
"Hey, there's nothing wrong with looking good!" Leon chuckled patting her head, "Yes it's important to take care of your Poke'mon, getting Poke'balls and potions...but it's not a bad thing to take care of yourself too." he stated, "It should all be fun, after all!" he smiled, "Why don;t you two wander around the area and test out your Poke'dexes." said Leon, "After you've had your fill...feel free to come meet with me again at the Professor's home, so you can thank her right proper for the generous gift, okay?"
"You got it, Lee!" Hop beamed as he waved his brother off and turned towards Nouii, "Right then, I'm gonna go ahead and catch loads of Poke'mon then!" said Hop, "After that, we'll meet at the Professor's house and see if she can help us convince Lee to let us participate in the Gym Challenge!" he stated, "See you there!"
"Sheesh, I can hardly keep up with the both of them..." Nouii mumbled as Hop was gone just as fast as Lee was.
Still...this Gym Challenge thing DOES sound fun...
She smiled as she looked at her phone.
This is my first time having a Poke'dex...I can't wait to give it a test run!
She didn't have to wait long as she was startled by the screeching of her Grookey who had just had its stick stolen by a Galarian Zigzagoon causing some trouble.
"It's a Zigzagoon!" she beamed, "Oooh I want it~!" she giggled before realization hit her, "Wait...Lee did just give me some new Poke'balls...a-and this is the perfect opportunity to test out the new dex too!" she grinned, "Then it's settled I'm going to catch it- Drum Stixx, use Branch Poke!"
"KeKeKee~!" Grookey let out a yip as it had finally managed to swipe back its stick and proceed to poke Zigzagoon with it.
"Zagoon Zaaa!"
"Oh, didn't seem to like that too much..." she gulped as it began charging at poor Grookey who seemed to be running for its dear life, "I better put a stop to this-Poke'ball GO!" she threw a fresh new ball that landed right on target. After a few shimmies it let loose a satisfied ding and she beamed.
"Yes, I caught it!" she cheered.
Zigzagoon, The Tiny raccoon Poke'mon.
Its restlessness has it constantly running around.
If it sees another Poke'mon, it will purposely run into them in order to start a fight.
"Huh...well that explains the scene that just played out, then..." said Nouii as she moved to pick up the ball after Grookey curiously tapped at it with its stick. She smiled admiring her Offical catch and scrolled through the Poke'dex, "Oh well, Sonia had already programmed the Poke'mon I caught previously into it before giving it to me...that's awesome!" she giggled, "Wow the Zigzagoon here sure look different than what I've seen before..." she smiled, "Look at its eyes- they look like they have Black Stars around them!" she gasped, "Black Starr-that's what I'll call you from now on~" she smiled.
Now having discovered how her Poke'dex worked, it only made Nouii even more excited to fill up its pages.

"Took you long enough, mate!" said Hop, greeting Nouii's arrival.
"Sorry...I was having fun filling the pages up in the Dex~" she grinned.
"I can't blame you there." said Hop, "It is rather wicked-but chek it out~" he said to her, pointing ahead of them where Leon seemed to be having a chat with an older woman, "That's the Professor!" he stated.
"Dear me, I didn't even notice I had more guests!" she stated with an adjustment of her glasses as she took notice of Hop and Nouii who waited patiently by the gate.
"No worries, Professor Magnolia." Hop stated with a grin.
"My...this is a ner face here." she smiled at Nouii, "Hello dear."
"Alola, Professor!" Nouii said politely, "Thank you so much for the Poke'dex! It's fantastic!"
"My, well, you're quite welcome!" she chuckled.
"Alo...wha?" Hop blinked.
""Professor Magnolia, this here is Nouii." Leon stated while placing two gentle hands on each of her shoulders, "She's my-" he stopped for a second...
Close call...I almost called her my daughter, just then...
He smiled.
"...Girlfriend's daughter." he stated kindly.
Perhaps maybe...someday.
He chuckled.
"She and her mother are from the Alola Region."
"I see, well that certainly explains the greeting." the Professor chuckled.
"Nouii this here, is Professor Magnolia." he stated, "She is Galr'a Professor who researches the Dynamax Phenomenon."
"Dynamax Phenomenon?" Nouii blinked, "...What's that?"
"Dynamaxing is wicked awesome mate!" Hop beamed, "Here in the Galar region- your Poke'mon can become MASSIVE!" he beamed.
"Yes, well it still takes a proper understanding to know how to use it..." Leon chuckled, "Thank goodness we have Professor Magnolia here to help us grasp an understanding of it all!"
"Oh leon dear, there you go on again..." she chuckled.
"Oi, Professor, you think you can do us a favor?" said Hop waving his arm for her attention,"Help me convince Lee that he should endorse us for the Gym Challenge!"
"Oh Leon, why wouldn't you endorse them?" asked Magnolia.
"Well I mean..." Leon guloed after shooting a look to his brother who shot back a cheeky grin, "...Hop and Nouii only just started as official Poke'mon trainers..." he sighed, "And in Nouii's case-even if I did cave in and endorse her too- It's a whol;e other battle to try to convonce her mother to get on board..."
"She's your lady, yeah? I'm sure you could convince her~" Hop smirked, triggering a vibrant blushing from Leon as well as Nouii.
"Oiiiiii I don't even wanna think about that-" she stated, throwing her hands to her ears.
"ALL RIGHT HOW ABOUT THIS-" Leon spoke above her, blushiong wildly while pushing an instant change in subject-"What say the two of you show me such a brilliant battle, that I will be left with no choice but to endorse you!" he stated.
"DEAL!" Hop beamed.
"Wait wha-hold on!"
"No time, Nouii, it's battle time!" said Hop with a playful nudge before dashing out.
"But Hop-"
"I can't hear you mate~" he chimed, "I'll await you on the battle field!"
