Through Unity they become nothing but pebbles in the road to success. (Yusei/OC, Aki/OC, Crow/OC, and more side pairings later down the story.)

1. Dog, Lies, Queen

Dog

Location: Satellite

Time: Late night

Faye Kuroiwa has always been odd even for the Satellite… no, especially for the Satellite.

She has always preferred to wander around at night when it was considerably more dangerous, even more so for a girl.

Long, unkempt black hair and amber colored eyes which give her an exotic appearance added to her state of clothing, which, while not indecent is also not completely proper consisting of a simple, loose white t-shirt and black shorts, all serve to make her a big target for men (and some women) with less than pure intentions.

Even with all of the risks she never seemed to have anything to defend herself with either, but that didn't particularly matter because people have learned to not mess with her (It was a painful lesson indeed). Only two people can go near her without getting hurt: Yusei Fudo and Crow Hogan. There used to be two more people but they have been gone for a long time.

If Faye had her way Jack Atlas' body would be found cold and dead in a dirty ditch somewhere, she was, if nothing else, incredibly protective of her friends, which is why Kiryu's death still pained her so much even more than a year later (she felt like it was her fault, like she had failed him, him of all people) and it also explains why Jack's betrayal angered her beyond belief, she who values her bonds above anything else would never forgive someone who abandoned all those who cared about him for selfish reasons.

'One day he'll pay' she thought as she made her was down a narrow alley, she was brought out of her thoughts of murder by a small crash behind her.

Faye stopped walking and tilted her head back "I thought you idiots knew better than to mess with me by now," she received no answer "or do I need to give you another lesson?" This time she heard soft laughter coming from around the corner of one of the buildings. A teen of that looked about 18-20 years of age with neck long brown hair and brown eyes walked out.

"Please, what can you do without your masters?" The male voice was mocking and arrogant "What brings Team Satisfaction's little lap dog to this area?" Daichi Mamoru, ex-leader of the now extinct Golem duel gang; they were one of the first duel gangs to be defeated by Team Satisfaction.

"Get lost Daichi, I'm not in any mood to trash you today" Faye answered the young man.

"I beg to differ, the one getting trashed is you my dear, you had your masters to help you last time, but now that you're all alone I will get revenge for what you did to my gang."

"I think you mean to say what I did to your ego," Faye retorted easily "and must I remind you that I took you down alone last time?" His face reddened at that.

"That's it!" He yelled "You're going down!" With that he took out his duel disk, Faye did the same and took her deck out of the pocket in her shorts.

"Duel!" They both yelled

Faye: 4000

Daichi: 4000

"I'll go first" Daichi started by drawing a card "I set one monster facedown, then set one card facedown," two cards materialized on his field "with that I will end my turn." He finished with a smirk.

Faye just stared nonplussed, was this guy seriously going to use the exact same strategy as before?

"Come on, it's your turn, or do you want to give up now?" He taunted

'Arrogance is truly a mystifying thing' she thought before drawing her card 'The way things are, I will lose a few life points but in the long run he will lose a lot more, alright' she picked a card from her hand and placed it on her duel disk "I summon Superheavy Samurai Jisha-Q."

Superheavy Samurai Jisha-Q: Level 4, 900/1900, Machine, EARTH.

"When Jisha-Q is summoned I can summon another Superheavy Samurai from my hand, so I'll special summon Superheavy Samurai Taima-2 in defense position."

Superheavy Samurai Taima-2: Level 1, 500/300, Machine, Earth.

Her first monster was a blue robot of sorts with a magnet on its back and the symbols for plus and minus on its 'palms', her second monster was an odd looking blowtorch.

"Then, by his own effect Jisha-Q changes to defence position," her monster turned blue signifying its position "and while Jisha-Q is on the field, you can't target other monster I control for attacks, then I'll equip Jisha-Q with Superheavy Samurai Soul Shine Claw, when equipped with Soul Shine Claw, a Superheavy Samurai can't be destroyed by battle and it gains 500 attack and defence points.

Superheavy Samurai Jisha-Q: Level 4, 1400/2400, Machine, EARTH.

"Again with your defences? Well I'll stop that right now" Daichi declared revealing his facedown "I activate Rock-Throw Attack! By sending a rock-type monster from my deck to the graveyard I will deal you 500 points of damage!" He laughed and she just stared at him with an expression that screamed 'Are you done?'

Faye: 3500

Daichi: 4000

'If my prediction is right he sent either Sentry Golem or Sentry Soldier of Stone, either way it doesn't matter' Faye thought as she ended her turn.

"Alright my move!" He yells as he dramatically draws a card.

Faye's nose scrunched in distaste at how he bent his card.

"I activate Monster Reborn," He placed the said card on his duel disk and it appeared on the field "I special summon Sentry Golem from the graveyard."

Sentry Golem: Level 4, 800/1800, Rock, EARTH.

'Called it' Faye thought, giving herself an imaginary pat on the back.

"Then by his own effect I switch Sentry Golem to face-down defence mode." The gate-like monster disappeared and on it's place a facedown card appeared. "The best part is that next turn I can flip him face-up and I'll be able to return your Jisha-Q to the hand, then you'll lose your defense." He laughed again, clearly pleased with his 'fail proof' strategy "I'll place this card face down and then I end my turn, your move doggy." He taunted as a new facedown appeared.

Faye just kept an entirely blank face while she drew her card, "I activate Soul Shine Claw's effect, I unequip it from Jisha-Q and special summon it." The metallical claw detached itself from Jisha-Q and appeared on the field.

Superheavy Samurai Soul Shine Claw: Level 2, 500/500, Machine, EARTH.

"Then I tribute Jisha-Q and Taima-2," both monsters disappeared from the field "in order to advance summon: Superheavy Samurai Big Ben-K"

Superheavy Samurai Big Ben-K: Level 8, 1000/3500, Machine, EARTH.

"And when Big Ben-K is summoned I can switch him to defence position, then I'll equip him with Soul Shine Claw as well as with Superheavy Samurai Soul Iwatooshi and Superheavy Samurai Soul Double Horn from my hand"

Superheavy Samurai Big Ben-K: Level 8, 1500/4000, Machine, EARTH.

"Hn, all you're doing is defending again, during my next turn it will all be useless, Sentry Golem will return him to your hand and you will be wide open for an attack, meanwhile I have all of my life points!" Daichi taunted again trying to get some sort of response from the girl but failed as she simply stared at him waiting for him to finish his short monologue.

"If I can continue," she stated plainly "You made the mistake of forgetting Big Ben-K's effect, now you'll pay for both your ignorance and your arrogance." Just then, Big Ben-K's boosters fired up.

"W-What's going on?!" Daichi questioned, alarmed.

"While Big Ben-K is on the field, Superheavy Samurai monsters I control can attack while in defence position, and if they do, they use their defence for damage calculation." Daichi's eyes widened at this fact. "Now let's battle, Big Ben-K attacks Sentry Golem." Ben-K smashed the ground and the fissure went to the facedown that held Sentry Golem "And better yet, when equipped with Soul Iwatooshi, Superheavy Samurai monsters deal piercing battle damage."

Faye: 3500

Daichi: 1800

"This isn't over! On my next turn-"

"You won't have a next turn," Faye interrupted startling Daichi "When equipped with Soul Double Horn, Big Ben-K can attack twice per battle phase, let's end this. Big Ben-K attack his facedown monster!" Faye finished adding some emotion to her last order as her monster once again smashed the ground revealing Daichi's monster which was Mine Golem.

Mine Golem: Level 3, 1000/1900, Rock, EARTH.

"I refuse to lose here! I activate my face down: Steadfast Will!"

A trap card was revealed, the artwork showed Mammoth Fossil with the spirit of Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo behind it stopping an attack from an unknown monster.

"By removing Sentry Golem from play," The card shot out of Daichi's duel disk and he placed it in his pocket "Your Big Ben-K loses attack and defense equal to its attack!"

Superheavy Samurai Big Ben-K: Level 8, 700/3200, Machine, EARTH.

Ben-K's attack continued and he destroyed Mine Golem, after which a small sphere of energy flew towards Faye before exploding.

"When Mine Golem is destroyed by Battle you take 500 points of damage"

Faye: 3000

Daichi: 500

"Praise is given where praise is earned, you just went up from completely useless to incredibly pathetic in my mind." Faye casually commented, angering Daichi further.

"I won't lose!" He retorted

"Say what you will, but actions speak louder than words, it's your turn anyway."

"I'll show you! I draw!" He aggressively drew his card before picking up another one from his hand "I activate Painful Choice, I reveal five cards from my deck, you choose one to add to my hand and the others go to the graveyard, so pick!" He revealed another copy of Mine Golem, Sentry Golem, and Rock-Throw Attack as well as Sentry Soldier of Stone and Block Golem.

Faye pondered for a moment before deciding "Sentry Soldier of Stone to your hand."

He smirked "Thanks, but at the end of the day it didn't matter which one you picked, I just needed to get some more rock monsters to the grave." He laughed while Faye widened her eyes at his strategy.

'I see, so he's going to summon that monster'

"Get ready! I remove from play Block Golem and Mine Golem in order to call forth my strongest monster" Daichi took a card from his hand and started chanting.

"Appear! Sleeping Giant who dwells in the depths of the planet, awake now and crush all who oppose me! I summon Gaia Plate the Earth Giant!"

The ground shook before cracking and a giant made out of stone burst out, it let out a roar of sorts from… somewhere, before landing in front of Daichi.

Gaia Plate the Earth Giant: Level 8, 2800/1000, Rock, EARTH.

"Now I activate the continuous spell: Build Rock Formation."

A card with a green border appeared on Daichi's field and Gaia Plate was immediately covered by an additional layer of grey stone, which was the same image as the card's artwork.

"As long as this card is face up, when a Rock monster battles a monster with an attack that is different from its original, my monster gains attack equal to your monster's original attack!" He smirked before taking one last card from his hand "And I'll then equip my Gaia Plate with the equip spell: Big Bang Shoot!"

Gaia Plate's fist was immediately surrounded by red energy as its ATK went up.

Gaia Plate the Earth Giant: Level 8, 3200/1000, Rock, EARTH.

Daichi's smirk widened "Not only does Gaia Plate gain a nice boost, but it can also deal damage to your life points even if your monster is in defense position." He struck a dramatic pose before declaring "Battle! Gaia Plate the Earth Giant attacks Big Ben-K! Dynamic Pressure!" Gaia Plate's fist swung down at Faye's monsters at a high speed while also collecting debris along the way "And when Gaia Plate battles a monster, that monster's attack is cut in half! Gravity Crusher! And last but not least, due to Build Rock's effect, Gaia Plate gains 1000 attack points" Big Ben-K tried to stand up and fight back but was slammed into the ground by an invisible force.

Gaia Plate the Earth Giant: Level 8, 4200/1000, Rock, EARTH.

Superheavy Samurai Big Ben-K: Level 8, 750/2000, Machine, EARTH.

Faye frowned at the state of her monster.

'He has improved for sure' she sighed, looks like this would actually require her to put in some effort…

That sounded like a lot of work.

Another sigh.

She was brought out of her musings when Gaia Plate's fist finally hit her monster "Big Ben-K isn't destroyed due to Soul Shine Claw's effect." Faye informed him plainly.

"But you still take the damage!"

Faye: 800

Daichi: 500

The battle ended and Big Ben-K's stats along with Gaia Plate's returned to normal.

Gaia Plate the Earth Giant: Level 8, 3200/1000, Rock, EARTH.

Superheavy Samurai Big Ben-K: Level 8, 1500/4000, Machine, EARTH.

"I end my turn." Daichi finished with a satisfied expression.

Faye stood there with her hair shadowing her face, her opponent assumed this meant she gave up, meanwhile in Faye's head:

'Stupid Daichi making me work' she whined to herself 'oh well, the quicker I finish the sooner I can go eat… and he's definitely paying' as her inner monologue was coming to its end, Faye drew here card and looked at it 'if I want to beat over Gaia Plate then I would need to get Big Ben-K to at least 8500 attack'

She blinked, then looked back to her hand.

'Actually I can probably skip the hassle of doing that' she grinned at the fact that she could end this already.

"What's wrong doggy?" Daichi's voice cut off her inner celebration "Ready to admit defeat?" He mocked.

Faye snorted at the very thought "As if," she pointed at Big Ben-K "I activate the effect of Soul Shine Claw to once again special summon it" she declared as the gauntlet detached itself from the monster and settled itself next to it.

Superheavy Samurai Soul Shine Claw: Level 2, 500/500, Machine, EARTH.

Superheavy Samurai Big Ben-K: Level 8, 1000/3500, Machine, EARTH.

"Is that your great plan? Returning your monster's attack to normal so that Build Rock Formation won't power Gaia Plate up? In case you forgot, Gaia Plate can still halve your monster's attack" Daichi remarked smugly.

"I know that, shut up" Faye said curtly before grabbing the card she just drew and placing it in her spell and trap zone "I equip Soul Shine Claw with Superheavy Samurai Soul Break Armor" Shine Claw was surrounded by an ominous dark glow.

Superheavy Samurai Soul Shine Claw: Level 2, 500/0000, Machine, EARTH.

'What is this girl planning?' Daichi thought to himself 'Oh well, it doesn't matter one way or another, the moment she attacks with something strong enough, I'll use the effect of Bull Rock Breaker in my hand to reduce her monster's attack and defense by the defense of Gaia Plate.' He grinned, this duel was already his.

"You're currently thinking that this duel is yours aren't you?" Faye says and Daichi flinches "Allow me to show you why you are wrong" the twitch of her lips isn't enough to call it a smile but it's something "I activate the effect of Claw to once again equip it to Big Ben-K"

Superheavy Samurai Big Ben-K: Level 8, 1500/4000, Machine, EARTH

"This is the end…" Faye whispers, at Daichi's confused look she continues "I activate the effect of Soul Break Armor which was sent to the graveyard when I equipped Soul Shine Claw to Big Ben-K." An ominous aura surrounded Faye's monster and Daichi flinched.

"From the graveyard?" He mutters, taking a step back.

"By removing Soul Break Armor from play, I can deal you damage equal to the difference in defense from my monster's original stats and its current stats"

"What?!" Daichi yells, 'Big Ben-K's original defense is 3500, his current defense is 4000, the difference is…' he thinks to himself as he looks down at his Life Point counter.

Daichi: 500

"I lost?! Even after all my training to defeat you I still-!" He exclaimed but piped down when he heard Faye sigh.

"And it's a real shame you know?" The comment confused Daichi for a moment. What was a shame? Reading the confusion on his face correctly, Faye continued "You really have become strong, if only you could do something about that attitude of yours then we might have a truly enjoyable duel" His eyes widened at her comment, but didn't have too long to think because Soul Break Armor's effect was resolving.

"A name for the effect… uhm… Spirit Collapse?" Faye ponders with her index on her cheek "Yeah sounds good, Spirit Collapse!" She repeats with more force as a purple aura shoots out of Big Ben-K and passes straight through Gaia Plate and surrounding Daichi.

"Gah!" Who wasn't expecting it and thus was taken off guard.

Faye: 800

Daichi: 0000

Daichi collapsed to the floor unconscious from shock after the duel and Faye approached his fallen body and started patting him before finding something in one of his pockets.

"Bingo," she took out some bills that Daichi had in his pants' pocket..

"Faye…" A slightly deep male voice said with a disapproving tone behind her. She turned around and came face to face with someone she hadn't seen in almost half a year.

"Yusei…"

Location: Neo Domino City.

Time: Early Morning.

Aki Izayoi was in a good mood.

It has been a week since a man named Divine gave her, and her best friend a place to call home in the Arcadia Movement and she was loving it, being surrounded by people like her who didn't judge everything she did was a welcome change from the usual hate routine.

Thinking of him always brought a warm feeling to Aki's chest, despite all of her imperfections he has always stood by her side and offered her support whenever she needed it, even if his situation was just as bad as hers.

He is kind, funny, and caring, and he understands her, and… and he is hanging upside down from a branch.

"Bii… What on earth are you doing?" She questioned her best friend.

("Bii" is a boy with short and messy, light brown hair, his eyes were a particular shade of yellow what made them seem like they shined when the light hits them in a specific way, his face was pretty young looking indicating that he is somewhere around Aki's age, his clothing consisted of black sweatpants and a light yellow T-shirt, he was oddly wearing no shoes.)

The now identified 'Bii' blushed in embarrassment at being caught in such a position before answering "Well ah, you see… the Pin three was getting bored and ah well, they wanted to do something fun a-and well uh, I had just got a rope for a wheel swing I wanted to put up and so they… well uhm," he fidgeted with his hand and blushed shyly as he looked down (up) "h-help me?" He finished still blushing.

Aki let out a sigh but there was noticeable fondness in it, "Where are those troublemakers?" She asked as she moved to get him down.

"Uhm… I don't know, they flied,"

"Flew" Aki corrected

"Huh? Oh, they flew away after I stepped on the rope." He muttered.

Aki was about to say something else but was interrupted by three adorable cries of "Biru!"

Aki turned around just in time to see three yellow blurs crash into her making her fall on her back, she looked towards the objects and three pairs of big blue eyes stared back at her literally shining with innocence.

"Yeah… not falling for that, you three are in trouble."

"Biru…" The three muttered dejectedly.

"Uhm, it's fine really," Bii muttered "At, Por, Ara, get me down please?" he asked them and the three cheered and immediately dashed at the rope with their needles facing up. "W-Wait! Don't-!" But it was too late and the rope was cut and Bii started falling but was quickly caught, bridal style by a pair of thin yet strong arms.

Bii looked up and a pair of rectangular, crimson eyes met his golden ones with noticeable amusement.

"Hama! T-thanks…" Bii muttered after his initial shock at seeing his ace appear so suddenly.

"Danna," Hama the Evil-Conquering Bow said respectfully "thee shouldst very much endeav'r to beest saf'r." He advised while putting Bii down.

"Huh?" Bii had literal question marks coming out of his head, as usual he didn't understand one word that Hama said "Aki?" He turned to his usual translator.

"He said to be more careful." She helpfully supplied and he beamed at her, nodding.

Seeing his smile caused the warm feeling to return to her chest, it also reminded her of the first time she saw it.

*Flashback*

A younger looking Aki was walking through a park with a frown on her face, it had been two weeks since her parents sent her to Duel Academy to get rid of her because of her powers.

She was in a bad mood all the time nowadays, it was a little hard to not feel anger and sadness when your parents called you a monster and got rid of you just like yesterdays trash, worse of all when she went to see them one last time they were happy, as if they never had a daughter in the first place, losing her didn't affect them in the slightest.

She was brought out of her thoughts by the sound of, 'Buzzing?' She thought, and there was indeed buzzing, really loud buzzing, 'What on earth?' Having nothing better to do Aki decided to look for the source, she looked around her for a minute before deciding that the sound was coming from her right, after looking for a bit she found an area of the park that was secluded from the rest, this area was dirtier than the rest of the park and was full of overgrown plants which created a wall that blocked the view of what was behind.

"Ok now I'm curious." She murmured to herself, the buzzing got louder meaning she was closer.

Aki moved some of the plants aside and walked through the small opening she made, and what she saw left her mouth hanging.

On the other side of the wall there was a tiny yet beautiful area made by two giant trees, there was a bundle of leaves with an old looking blanket over it mildly resembling a bed, and a small campfire that was currently extinguished, a pile of wood was laying next to it.

"Wow, who did this?" She wondered out loud.

She was surprised when a voice spoke out from her side without her realizing someone was there "T is malapert to ent'r anoth'r's prop'rty without p'rmission fair mistress."

She jumped back with a yelp expecting to see an adult man judging by the deepness of the voice, but to her surprise, she didn't see anyone.

"Who said that?" A poke on her shoulder distracted her from her thoughts "Hmm?" She turned around and came face to face with three bee/rocket hybrids with big blue eyes and a pin on their noses.

"Ahh!" Aki jumped back and her back hit the wall, she tried to press herself further back but couldn't, the three bees meanwhile just tilted their heads cutely in a confused manner before deciding that this stranger was fun.

"Biru!" The three dashed at her but stopped when she raised her arm at them "Biru?"

"Stop or I'll-!" Or what? It's not like her power can be activated on demand, but she hopes that they will make an exception for extremely dangerous situations, she doesn't like them or want them, but she doesn't know what these strange creatures will do to her for invading their home.

"Biru?" She was brought out of her musings when the three bees started moving towards her once again.

"Stay back!" Her arm started glowing and she never felt so glad for the wretched mark on her arm, but she couldn't process her newfound feelings for long because something grabbed her arm and her mark stopped glowing.

Aki paled and slowly turned her head up to see what was holding her, brown eyes met crimson ones and she felt like crying, was she going to die here? All because she just had to be curious?

"I wouldst much appreciateth t if 't be true thee didn't doth yond, Danna wouldn't appreciateth t if 't be true thee did burn down his home with thy most destructive abilities."

Aki's eyes widened, she didn understand all the words that the creature said, but she got the idea. "Y-you know about-?" She whimpered.

"Of course, t is near impossible to misseth with the amount of en'rgy yond thee emit at ev'ry moment." The creature nodded to his own words before turning back to Aki asking "What might thy nameth beest fair mistress?"

Aki was still pale and staring at the creature with wide eyes so it decided to introduce itself first, "V'ry well, since thou art unable to talketh f'r the moment, i shalt introduceth myself first." The creature flew away from Aki and stood next to the three bees from before who were still watching the interaction with curiosity "Mine own nameth is Bee Force - Hama the Evil-Conquering Bow, but ev'rybody calleth me Hama, thee may doth the same fair mistress." Hama bowed and Aki flinched from the sudden movement, realizing how uncomfortable she was with the situation, Hama decided to keep talking to try and calm her down "Thee has't nothing to feareth fair mistress, nay one h're is going to did hurt thee." This did calm her, not by much mind you, but she relaxed enough so that she wouldn't have a heart attack.

"Biru?" The three bees turned towards Hama who sighed but relented "And these three young ones art known as Bee Force- Pin the Hit."

"Biru!" The three chirped at the same time and once again moved closer to Aki but at a slower pace.

Aki flinched again but saw that they were keeping their pins facing down so she relaxed a bit.

"Biru?" The three tilted their heads down and placed themselves in front of her, Aki turned towards Hama for a translation.

"Those gents wanteth to beest pet." Hama supplied and Aki lifted an eyebrow.

"They want to be pet? Like a dog?" She questioned and Hama shrugged, despite the oddity of the situation she complied and placed her hand in the head of the Pin the Hit in the middle before gently rubbing it, to her surprise, it started purring.

'How did my day turn out like this?' Aki wondered 'I just wanted to be alone for a few hours and now I'm petting a bee that's purring like a cat.' She shook her head and moved her hand to pet the other two Pin the hit's.

"What exactly are you anyway?" She asked and the four turned to look at her, she flinched slightly but continued "I mean, you're bees… that talk, and you are big, and you look almost human!" She exclaimed, starting to panic again.

"Relaxeth fair mistress," said Hama and she took a few deep breaths to calm down, when she was done Hama continued talking "as f'r thy questioneth, we art what is known as duel spirits, hath brought to this w'rld by Danna's handeth."

"Who is this 'Danna' you keep mentioning anyway?" Aki questioned.

"Well that gent-" Hama started but…

"Hama!" A childish yell interrupted him.

"Actually wherefore thee not just meeteth that gent instead?" Hama said and Aki snapped her head towards him.

"What?! You want me to talk to the man whose house I trespassed into?!" I her mind that sounded like a terrible idea.

To her shock, Hama just chuckled "I can assureth thee Danna shall not beest fell at all."

"How do you know?"

"Well, f'r one, that gent doesn't knoweth what trespassing means."

Aki wasn't sure if that was supposed to comfort her, all she knows is that it didn't.

Before she could continue panicking, a figure entered the 'room'.

"Ha-!" He started again but stopped upon seeing someone he didn't recognize in his home.

"Uhm," Aki fidgeted with her sleeve a bit "Hello?" She said unsurely.

The figure blinked before smiling brightly and pointing at himself "Bii!" He exclaimed.

"A bee? What?" Of course there were bees, they were right behind her.

He nodded "Me Bii!"

"You're a bee…" she trailed off before suddenly realizing "Ooh, your name is Bii."

Bii nodded happily before frowning and putting a hand on his chin.

Aki wondered if this boy would finally realize that she had intruded on his home, but Bii just casually walked to his makeshift bed and pointed at it.

"Seat?" He asked.

"Huh?

"That gent is off'ring thee a seat." Aki jumped, having completely forgotten about the other occupants of the room.

Bii was a curious person by nature, it wasn't hard for something to catch his full attention, this girl is definitely the most interesting thing that has happened in a while, and as such he has been paying close attention to her, and even if he wasn't it wasn't hard to tell that she was uncomfortable and more than likely scared.

He nodded to himself, he had figured out the problem, now all he had to do was solve it.

…

…

…

And that is as far as his train of thought went before it brutally crashed against a wall, what is that wall you may ask?

How exactly was he supposed to solve it, this was literally the first human he had interacted with in almost 6 years.

He sighed, and just when he thought he was getting somewhere.

Throughout his entire thought process, Aki had calmed down and taken on his offer to sit down, the makeshift bed was surprisingly comfortable, but before she could speak up again, she noticed that the boy (Bii she had to remind herself, and wasn't that an odd name) was staring at her intensely.

"Is everything ok?" She questioned.

Bii continued staring, years later he would admit that he doesn't know exactly why he said this, but for now it was the first thing that came to mind.

"You…" Aki looked at him "Friends?" He extended his hand at her while smiling brightly.

For her part, Aki was floored, if Hama knew about her powers then he had to know as well didn't he? (He didn't) Then why was he offering to be friends? She contemplated for a few seconds before giving her answer.

*End of Flashback*

She thought about it for a few minutes before agreeing, and needless to say it was the best decision she had ever made, she discovered that Bii's inability to speak came from the fact that he hadn't interacted with a human in what amounted to half his life, leaving him with only the little memories he had of that time and the few words Hama taught him that were not in Shakespearean.

She quickly offered to teach him how to properly speak and read which he gladly accepted.

Two years later, Bii had come a long way from where he started, his grammar wasn't the best but he could communicate properly and his reading skills were good enough to read the text in his cards and finally be able to duel, something which made him extremely happy.

"Aki?" Bii's voice broke her out of her trip down memory lane, she looked down to see he was sitting on the floor, hugging the three Pin brothers who all had their eyes closed and despite their faces being literally just the eyes and the nose, Aki had the distinct impression that they were very pleased with themselves (Because of course, Bii never really had it in him to reprimand them too harshly).

"Yes Bii?" Aki asks with a soft smile (Because she doesn't have it in her to reprimand HIM for being too soft)

"Uhm…" His eyes trail off to his "bed" where there is the usual amount of clutter, but on top of it there is an item that immediately grabs her attention.

"Is that a newspaper?" She questions and Bii nods.

"I wanted to keep doing my reading like you told me, so I went to grab one of those from the boxes that have many of them-" Bii muttered but was interrupted by Aki.

"You know you have to pay for those right?"

…

…

"Oh" is all he can say.

There is silence for a few seconds.

Aki sighs "Oh well, I guess no one will miss 200 yen…" she mutters and motions for Bii to continue.

He does with slight hesitation "So I was reading it and uhm…" he trailed off.

Alarm bells started ringing in Aki's head, what had he seen? An article on a murder? Arson? Rape? A large-scale terrorist attack? Her panic at the thought of Bii reading something like that (She wasn't naive enough to think Bii had an easy life, but she knew he hadn't been exposed to some of the darkest sides of humanity) made her ignore anything else he had to say and quickly grab the article, what she saw was worse than that for her and made her blood turn cold.

BLACK ROSE WITCH SIGHTED IN THE SUBURBS OF SOUTHERN NEW DOMINO CITY!

Underneath the headline was a picture of someone she recognized (Of course she recognized it, it was he-NO THat waSn't HEr) wearing a blank mask and a brown cloak.

The article described the Black Rose's (NoT hEr, THaT WASn'T HER!) most recent sighting, her duel against a random passerby, and of course, the heavy amount of destruction she (The BlaCk ROsE NOT Her!) had caused during the duel as well as the other duelist's injuries.

"That's you isn't it?" She flinched at Bii's voice (Why was she flinching? It was just Bii, he would never hurt her) and she looked behind her to see Bii's expression had changed to something she couldn't quite decipher (Disappointment? Anger? HAT-)

She smiled softly at him (FAKE! LIAR!) "Of course not Bii" She chuckled "do you really think I would do something like that?" She places a hand on her chest in fake (Because that's all she was fake, FAKE, FAKE!) hurt "You wound me" She finishes playfully.

Which of course went right over Bii's head who started panicking.

'H-Huh?! I-I'm sorry I was not! I mean, I didn't-!" But was silenced by Aki placing a hand on his hair and ruffling it.

"Calm down Bii I was kidding" She assures him and he calms down.

"Oh I see…" He mutters.

"Anyway, warn me beforehand if you ever want to get something to read and I'll get you something like a book, newspapers have a lot of things that you don't want to read" (That YOU don'T WaNt him to read)

Bii nods and Aki remembers why she came in the first place.

"Oh right Bii," Said boy turns to look at her. "Divine asked you to come with me today, he wanted to give you some time to get used to the movement but he really needs to perform an examination on you now." She notices how the boy tenses and a frown covers her face, Bii had been distrustful of Divine and the Arcadia Movement since they approached them a week ago, and for the love of her she could not figure out why.

"Do I have to?" Bii mutters.

"Yes Bii," he pouts "Come on it's not so bad, they'll lay you on a table for a few minutes while they do some tests, then maybe a blood test and a duel, after that you can leave." She realizes just a second too late that she should not have mentioned the blood exam.

"B-blood?!" Bii panics

"Don't worry!" Aki quickly yells out (Because there isn't any other volume that will get to Bii right now) "It's nothing bad, they just stick a needle in your arm for a second and it's all done, quick and easy…" She trails off when he notices how his face paled, then she remembers that the only needles he's ever seen are the ones on his monsters (Needle the Stinger's needle is just about everything but small)

She immediately jumps, already predicting Bii's next accion.

Her guess is proven correct when Bii tries to run away but she quickly grabbed his waist and tried to pull him back, Bii was definitely much stronger than she was but in his current state he was unable to actually put any force into his pulls.

"Let go Aki! I don't wanna go! Hama! Help!" Bii yells (And she is really thankful for how hidden this part of the park is).

Hama is of course no help as he just watches with amusement.

"Bii! Calm down!" Aki yells back as she struggles to keep him in place "Listen for a second!" When he stops , she realizes that he is listening, but just in case she keeps her arms holding him by the waist "The needle is smaller than a single blade of grass, it will go in and out your arm in less than a few seconds and you'll barely feel it." She says soothingly.

"You promise?" Bii questions in a quiet tone.

Aki nods "Of course, would I ever lie to you?" She asks with a smile (Yes You WOuLd IT"S All YoU DO!)

He considers it for a full 5 seconds before saying:

"You're right," Bii smiled "I trust in Aki, so I will go" she felt a pang in her chest at that comment but she ignored it.

"Let's get going, it isn't until later today, but we can go for ice cream on the way, how does that sound?"

Bii nods and grabs Aki's hand with a smile.

Aki smiles back and they both head off.

Location: Arcadia Movement (Duel Chamber B)

Time: Early Evening

After getting ice cream as promised, Aki and Bii reached the Arcadia Movement's main building where they were cordially received and Bii was taken to the medical ward, after completing a series of medical tests (Which were painless like Aki promised) Bii was taken to a colorless room and a helmet of sorts was placed on his head.

In a balcony separated by a glass wall, Aki stood, waiting for the duel to begin.

Bii saw Aki and waved at her.

Aki smiles and waves back.

'He's adorable isn't he?'

'Will you be quiet already, I'm still annoyed about what you tried to pull earlier' Aki snarked.

A chuckle is her only answer.

'Why do you refuse to leave me alone?' She questions

'Why my dear, how do you suggest I do that? We are after all, one and the same' The voice says.

'We are not the same and you know that, Black Rose!' Aki snaps.

'Of course we are, you are me, and I am you and that is the undeniable truth' The now named Black Rose answers with a tone of voice that conveys nothing but amusement.

'Just shut up' Aki groans already knowing that this conversation won't lead anywhere

The Black Rose just giggles, it only unnerves her more.

Back with Bii

As Bii waited for his opponent, Hama materialized next to him, making sure to stay visible only to his master "Danna," Hama begins as Bii turns to him "This lodging is… Unn'rving" He says cautiously.

Bii nods with a hum "I'm getting the… What did Aki call it? The creeps?" Hama nods.

But they are given no further time to converse as Bii's opponent arrives.

His opponent is an older teen with pale skin who looks around 16-18 years old. His eyes are a pale shade of blue, he has bluish white hair that reaches right below his neck in length and one single braid on the left side which was decorated by 3 green beads. His clothing consists of a medieval style, buttoned white shirt with long sleeves and frills at the end which cover his hands as well as simple jeans and white shoes. An overall pretty feminine look, a femine look that Bii knows decently well.

"Polaris!" Bii exclaims as his face lights up.

The now identified Polaris smiles softly at the younger boy's energy.

"Hello Bii-kun" He says in a soft tone

"Are we dueling?" Bii asks and beams when Polaris nods.

"I was asked to help test your psychic powers through a duel, so prepare yourself Bii-kun, even if we are friends, I will not hold anything back" Polaris' voice is as soft as before but there is an undertone of confidence now.

Bii nods and they both exclaim:

"DUEL!"

Bii: 4000

Polaris: 4000

In the balcony

When she saw Polaris, Aki's first reaction was relief, Bii would at least be dueling someone he knew.

They had met Polaris the first time they had gone into the main building, he had been the one to show them around and they had become quick friends with the soft spoken young man.

Aki then saw Bii's expression light up like a christmas tree, and the previous relief was replaced by something else, something… darker.

'Jealousy?' The Black Rose threw out nonchalantly.

'What are you talking about?' Aki mutters.

'Oh nothing…' The Black Rose teases knowing well enough that Aki would bite.

Which she does a second later 'Jealous of what?' She questions.

'Isn't it obvious? Of the white haired one, you want Bii to look at you and only you like that, isn't that right?' The Black Rose purrs.

'What are you talking about now?' Aki says with a frown 'Bii can look at whoever he wants however he wants'

'My dear, we are one and the same, why do you believe you can lie to me?' The Black Rose's tone progressively gets darker.

Aki holds her head with her hand 'We are not the same, and I am not lying!' Aki snaps.

'You call me a liar in the same sentence that you lie' The Black Rose shoots back.

Aki grits here teeth and is about to answer but...

'...i, Aki!" A voice interrupts her conversation, Aki turns around and sees Divine standing there with a concerned expression.

Her expression immediately softens "Divine" Aki greets with a nod.

Divine's expression doesn't change "Are you ok?" He questions.

"Yeah I'm alright." She assures quickly, a bit too quickly.

'More lies, is lying all you know how to do?' The Black Rose comments.

Aki dutifully ignored her.

"If you say so," Divine relents "I'm surprised Bii agreed to come, I'm even more surprised at how cooperative he is, he doesn't seem to have the best opinion of me" Divine comments.

Aki sighs "I promise you that I have no idea why he seems to dislike you so much, I'm working with him on that"

He puts a hand on her shoulder "Don't worry too much about it, he's probably just nervous, his duel is starting anyway and I'm sure you want to watch it" He says amicably.

Aki nods and turns back to the duel.

She misses the way Divine's smile turns sinister.

With Bii and Polaris

"Why don't you take the first turn Bii-kun?" Polaris offers.

Bii nods "Ok! I draw!" Bii draws, then he picks a card from his hand and places it on his duel disk "I use the effect of my monster: I special summon Bii Force - Twinbow the Continuous Attacker!"

Bee Force - Twinbow the Continuous Attacker: Level 3, 1000/500, Insect, WIND.

A bee with two stingers shot out of a blue portal before descending to Bii's height.

"Now I summon Bii Force - Needle the Stinger" Bii says as he places another monster next to Twinbow.

Bee Force - Needle the Stinger: Level 2, 400/800, Insect, WIND.

The new monster was a more mechanical looking bee which had a glass container filled with a purple liquid as well as a golden needle at the end of it. It did a quick pirouette in the air before settling next to Bii.

"And since Needle the Stinger was summoned I can add any of my friends to my hand" Bii took his deck out and looked through it before choosing a card and adding it to his hand, he then shuffled his deck and placed it back in its slot.

"Your deck really moves doesn't it?" Polaris questions with slight amusement.

Bii nods enthusiastically "Yup! Now watch! I use the effect of Bee Force - Pin the Hit in my hand to special summon it in defense since I already control other Bee Force monsters." One of the three Bee's that were with Bii earlier appeared before happily flying around for a few seconds after which it happily settled on its master's shoulder and began rubbing its face against his.

Bee Force - Pin the Hit: Level 1, 200/300, Insect, WIND.

Bii giggled at his monster's action before declaring "I now use Pin the Hit's effect to hit you for 200 points of damage!" Pin's needle shone yellow for a second before shooting out a small burst of energy towards Polaris who staggered slightly at the impact.

Bii: 4000

Polaris: 3800

"I now put these two cards face down and now you go" Bii finishes with a smile.

Polaris returns the smile and draws for turn.

"I activate the effect of my Bearcti - Micpola, I tribute Bearcti - Mictanus in my hand to special summon it" Polaris explains as he sends Mictanus to the GY.

Bearcti - Micpola: Level 7, 700/2000, Beast, WATER.

"And since Micpola was summoned, I can add Bearcti - Micbilis from my deck to my hand," He continues as he searches his deck for the right card, "Now I use Mibilis' effect to discard Bearcti - Megatanus and special summon it."

Bearcti - Mibilis: Level 7, 700/1400, Beast, WATER.

"And now Micbilis' effect, since I special summoned him, I can bring out another Bearcti from my hand, so I summon Bearcti - Megapola"

Bearcti - Megapola: Level 8, 2500/700, Beast-Warrior, WATER.

"And now Megapola's effect, since I special summoned it while I control another Bearcti monster, I can destroy one spell or trap you control." Polaris says calmly as he points at Bii's left face down.

"Eh?! You say I move but you move too! I activate the effect of Needle the Stinger! I tribute Twinbow to negate Megapola's effect!" Megapola's hammer was about to crush Bii's face down card but was stopped by an ethereal version of Twinbow.

"Oh? How interesting, ok then, I'll bite, Lets battle," Polaris declares and points at Bii's tuner "Bearcti - Megapola attacks Bee Force - Needle the Stinger, Polar Crash!" He says adding some force to his sentence for the first time.

Bii however, was prepared "I activate my trap card, Bee Force - Nest!" A gigantic hive appeared on the ceiling of the room and filled it with loud buzzing. "Since you attacked my Bee, I can negate the attack and special summon another Bee Force monster from my deck, then the battle ends, so I summon another Twinbow the Continuous Attacker!"

Bee Force - Twinbow the Continuous Attacker: Level 3, 1000/500, Insect, WIND.

"Impressive, you not only did you dodge a heavy amount of damage but you also increased your field presence and canceled the cost of your previous effect, truly marvelous Bii-kun." Polaris compliments.

"Huh?" Which goes right over Bii's head.

"Just sayeth thanketh thee Danna." Hama helps from his side while staying invisible to everyone but Bii.

"O-oh, Thanks!" Bii hurriedly says.

Polaris just chuckles "I set one card face down, and I end my turn." He finishes.

In the balcony

'That was a pretty good move' The Black Rose comments.

Aki has to agree with her.

"Protecting his trap with Needle the Stinger and then using said trap to dodge damage and get another monster out," Divine recites as he strokes his chin "not half bad."

Aki smiles "Bii is pretty strong, one wouldn't think it, but he's an amazing strategist."

"Is that so? The play may have been good, but it only bought him one turn" Divine comments.

Aki shakes her head and points at the Hive which is still present "Bee Force - Nest has another effect." She says simply.

"Hoh?" Divine hums with interest.

With Bii and Polaris

"Hmm?" Polaris hummed "Your trap is still on the field…" he trailed off.

Bii nods happily "After I use the effect, my trap gets a pointer-"

"Counter" Hama interrupts.

"Counter!" Bii corrects quickly "And it stays on the field, the effect will be used again the next time you attack, one more counter and then my trap leaves." Bii explains.

Polaris nods "How interesting, your move Bii-kun"

Bii grins and draws for turn.

Bii: 4000

Polaris: 3800

"I'll start with Pin the Hit's effect! So take another 200 points of damage!"

Bii: 4000

Polaris: 3600

Bii nods with confidence "Alright, I'm gonna do it!" Polaris lifts an eyebrow at the younger boy's declaration "My level 2 Needle the Stinger tunes my level 3 Twinbow the Continuous Attacker and level 1 Pin the Hit!"

Needle the Stinger turned into two green rings which the other two monsters flew into, then they transformed into spheres of lights and Bii chanted:

"With power! When attacking! It will be a super, mega, super attack! Synchro Summon! Charge! Bee Force - Voulge the Attack!" A large light illuminated the room, after it died down it revealed a more humanoid looking bee holding a Voulge.

Bee Force - Voulge the Attack: Level 6, 2500/800, Insect, WIND.

"Super, mega, super…" Polaris muttered "How appropriate really." He chuckles.

In the balcony

'We should really help him come up with a better chant' The Black Rose snickers.

'Stop saying things that are true so that I can stop agreeing with you' Aki says while holding back a giggle.

Divine can do nothing more than stare, baffled by the sheer redundancy of the chant.

With Bii and Polaris

'Ok, I have Dart the Hunt in my hand, so if I attack with Voulge and use it's effect I'll deal… Hama?' Bii thought

"1250 Danna" Hama supplied helpfully.

'Yeah that, then the effect will deal 200 more, then I use Dart's effect to finish him off' Bii nods "Let's go! Battle! Voulge the Attack… ehrm… attacks Megapola! Heavy Charge!" He declares after a small trip up.

Voulge the Attack jumped high in the air and began to swing its weapon at Megapola but was quickly stopped by Polaris.

"I activate my face down card: Call of the Living Dead," Polaris reveals his trap "I can special summon one monster from my graveyard in attack position, so I summon Bearcti - Megatanus"

A new… (Look I really don't know what these guys are, Polar Bears in astronaut suits?) monster appeared.

Bearcti - Megatanus: Level 8, 2400/700, Beast-Warrior, WATER.

"And since I summoned Megatanus while I controlled another Bearcti monster, I can flip one monster you control face down" Polaris explained.

"EH?! Voulge!" Bii cried out as his monster's attack was repelled before it disappeared and a horizontal card took its place.

"I-I end my turn." Bii mutters.

In the balcony

Divine smirked "As expected of Polaris, he was ready with a counterattack for anything Bii might have planned, even if Bii had tried to make more preparations, he could have just activated Call of the Living Dead earlier and stopped him." He says while stroking his chin.

Aki reluctantly nods "Truly impressive really." She had to admit.

'Don't you trust him?' The Black Rose piped up and Aki was immediately annoyed. 'I can feel your worry all the way in this cage you have me in, don't you trust in Bii to win this? Not only are you a liar but also lack faith in him, you should really just let me ta-'

'Shut up already! You are not taking over, end of conversation!' Aki snapped, ignoring everything her other self had said.

Despite what she had just said, Aki was pretty surprised when the Black Rose stayed quiet, but she wasn't about to look a gift horse in the mouth.

Divine merely watched with interest.

With Bii and Polaris

"My turn" Polaris says while drawing a card.

Bii: 4000

Polaris: 3600

"I switch Micpola and Micbillis to attack position," Polaris says while switching their position on his duel disk. "And now lets battle, Megatanus attacks the face down Voulge the Attack."

Megatanus charges at Bii's horizontal face down card which flips face up and Voulge is destroyed.

"Now Micpola and Micbillis attack Bii directly." The two smaller monsters charged and eventually reached Bii, the impact was hard enough to send him flying against the wall.

"Oof!" He yells as all the air is knocked out of his lungs.

Bii: 2600

Polaris: 3600

"Now Megapola attacks Bii directly, Polar Crash!" Polaris declares and Megapola swings its hammer down at Bii.

Bii's eyes widened at the giant hammer swinging down at him and quickly braced for impact..

"Gaah!" He yells when the hammer crashes down on him, raising a curtain of dust.

Bii: 100

Polaris: 3600

In the balcony

"Bii!" Aki yells in worry at seeing her best friend in pain.

A hand grabs her shoulder and she turns to see Divine with a reassuring smile on his face.

"Don't worry, Polaris won't seriously hurt Bii, and if it gets too bad we'll simply stop the duel." He assures her.

Aki returns her worried gaze to the duel.

The Black Rose stays eerily quiet throughout the entire scene.

Back with Bii and Polaris

"Are you ok Bii-kun?" Polaris called out in worry, he hadn't meant to hit him so hard

The dust settles and Bii is on the ground looking up.

He blinks.

He was sure he was going to lose.

Then again, Aki told him math wasn't his… Force?

"Forte, Danna." Hama corrects.

'Yeah that.' He thinks while getting up and nodding to Polaris who sighs in relief.

He looks down at his hand which only contains the Dart the Hunt he searched earlier.

He sighs.

What a predicament.

'Any ideas Hama?' Bii questions.

'Well, th're is still the card thee setteth at the v'ry beginning of this duel." Hama pointed out and Bii looked at his duel disk.

'All Out Rebellion… I can use it to bring back my three monsters, but Voulge can't come back, and without him I can't use you to your full power…' Bii mutters in his head.

Bii looks at his deck 'I guess this card will be the last one' He thinks.

"I set one card face down," Polaris says, interrupting Bii's thoughts "and now it is your turn." He finishes.

Bii: 100

Polaris: 3600

Bii nods with determination "My turn! I draw!" He flipped the card over 'He's here!' Bii's joy is quickly interrupted.

"I activate my trap card: Order to Retreat!" Polaris declares and Bii staggers "I can now return all monsters I control to my hand" He explains.

"Why would he-?" Bii mutters but Polaris continues.

"The I activate Micpola's effect, I discard Micbillis to summon Micpola."

Bearcti - Micpola: Level 7, 700/2000, Beast, WATER.

"You can use the monsters during my turn?!" Bii exclaims with a shocked expression.

Polaris just smiles "I now use Micpola's effect to add Bearcti - Megabillis to my hand." Polaris grabs a card from his deck before shuffling it and placing it back on the duel disk."

'Wait… he's gonna-!' Bii thinks in alarm.

"I activate the effect of Megapola! I discard Megabillis and special summon Megapola!" The hammer-wielding Polar Bear appeared once again with a roar.

Bearcti - Megapola: Level 8, 2500/700, Beast-Warrior, WATER.

"And since Megapola was summoned…" Bii mutters loud enough for Polaris to hear.

"You have good memory, since I control another Bearcti monster, Megapola can now destroy one spell or trap card you control, so I'll choose the set card you have been eyeing so much for the last few minutes" Bii flinches as his set card is destroyed.

'There goes that plan… but' he thinks 'This is over anyway!'

"I summon Bee Force - Arbalest the Quickshot!" A new bee appeared and did a pirouette before settling down.

Bee Force - Arbalest the Quickshot: Level 4, 1800/800, Insect, WIND.

"A new monster huh?" Polaris mutters.

Bii nods "Mhm! And now watch this! Since I normal summoned Arbalest the Quickshot I can special summon one of my bees from the graveyard, so I summon back my Needle the Stinger!" The mechanical looking bee appeared back on the field.

Bee Force - Needle the Stinger: Level 2, 400/800, Insect, WIND.

"And Needle the Stinger's effect! I can add another Pin the Hit to my hand, and then I summon him!" Bii declares as a new portal opens and the second of the Pin Trio shoots out with a somersault.

"Biru Biru!" Por cries as he settles himself on Bii's shoulder.

Said boy giggles before saying "Now I activate his effect, to deal you another 200 points of damage!"

Bii: 100

Polaris: 3400

"Ok… let's do this!" Polaris raises his duel disk in preparation "My level 2 Bee Force - Needle the Stinger tunes my level 4 Bee Force Arbalest the Quickshot and my level 1 Bee Force - Pin the Hit!" Needle the Stinger flies above Bii before turning into 2 green rings which the other two bees flew into before turning into small spheres.

"Break all their shields! Bee the one who ends the battle with just one attack! Synchro Summon! Hit it! Bee Force - Desperate Bardiche the Defender's Demise!"

Bee Force - Desperate Bardiche the Defender's Demise: Level 7, 2700/1000, Insect, WIND.

"Another synchro monster…" Polaris mutters.

In the balcony

"That was definitely an improvement over the last one" Divine comments with some amusement.

He could have lived without the pun though.

Aki meanwhile only smiles.

"Aki?" The older man questions.

"He won." She says with full certainty.

"What? No offense but Desperate Bardiche doesn't have enough power to deal any significant amount of damage, and the only card in Bii's hand is a monster he can't summon"

Aki shakes her head "Just watch, Bii might just surprise you."

'Are you surprised?' The Black Rose questions.

Aki refuses to answer that question.

With Bii and Polaris

"Let's do this, I activate Bardiche's effect! One time each turn, I can destroy a monster in defense position that you control, and then you take 300 points of damage!" Bii explains as Desperate Bardiche charges at the blue Polar Bear and destroys it, a shockwave hitting Polaris and making him recoil.

"I don't know what that is!" Bii proudly exclaims making everyone watching sweatdrop before he continued "I now use my bee's other effect, I can summon any monster from my hand, if it's an insect." Bii explains making his opponent's eyes widen "I summon Bee Force - Dart the Hunt!"

Bee Force - Dart the Hunt: Level 1, 100/100, Insect, WIND.

The new monster was even smaller than Pin the Hit and had no visible way of staying in the air, it just did.

"I use Dart the Hunt's ability, Desperate Bardiche becomes a tuner until the end of the turn!" Polaris flinches.

"Another Synchro?!" He exclaims.

Bii grins "Level 7 Bee Force - Desperate Bardiche the Defender's Demise tunes my level 1 Dart the Hunt!" The same sequence as before occurs but this time there are seven rings and only one sphere.

"Like a hurricane! We arrive together with infinite power!" Bii chants "Bring down evil with your arrow of justice! Synchro Summon! Come on partner! Bee Force - Hama the Evil-Conquering Bow!" With a battle cry, Hama fully materializes on the field.

Bee Force - Hama the Evil-Conquering Bow: Level 8, 2800/2000, Insect, WIND.

"Anon yond i has't arrived, vict'ry is c'rtain!" He declared despite the fact that only Bii could hear him at the moment…

And he didn't understand a word of that.

"Partner huh…" Polaris whispers "This must be your ace then." He guesses.

Bii nods, the concept of an ace having been explained to him by Aki.

"Mhm! And you are about to see what makes him so amazing, Let's battle!" Bii enters his battle phase and points at Megapola "Hama attacks Bearcti Megapola! Evil Destroying Arrow!" Hama placed his hand on the string of his bow before pulling it back, a green energy arrow formed and he let the arrow fly, it hit Megapola straight in the chest and the monster immediately disappeared.

"Not bad, but I still have one more turn." He reminds Bii.

But said boy shakes his head "No you don't, Hama's effect allows him to attack twice if I summoned him using another Synchro monster." He explains and Polaris takes a step back.

"W-what was that?" He whispers in shock.

"Let's go! Bee Force - Hama the Evil-Conquering Bow attacks Polaris directly! Evil Destroying Arrow 2: Justice Arrow!" Hama shot a second arrow at Polaris.

"Ahh!" Polaris cries out in pain.

Bii: 100

Polaris: 0

Polaris was lying faceup on the ground while Bii turned to Hama.

"I did it! Hama I won!" He cheered, Hama just patted him in the head.

Polaris stood up with a grunt and walked over to Bii.

"Bii-kun," he says, and the younger boy turns to look at him "Good job, you dueled marvelously." he praises.

Bii blushed humbly and beamed at Polaris "Thanks Polaris, you were really cool too."

Polaris just smiled.

Just then, they both heard the door to the room open and they turned to see Aki and Divine walk in.

Polaris immediately blushed "D-Divine!" He exclaimed while quickly moving his hand to push a strand of hair out of his face.

Divine merely smiled at him which made Polaris' blush get deeper as he looked away.

Bii paid no attention to the other two men in the room, his attention had been drawn to the one female as soon as she stepped in.

"Aki!" He exclaimed, and the psychic girl turned around with a proud smile "Did you see me? Did you? Did you?" Bii asked excitedly.

Aki laughs and nods "You did great Bii, I'm proud of you." He beams at this with the radiance of a thousand suns.

'This is what you are betraying' The Black Rose whispers.

Before she can answer, Divine approaches them and removes the helmet from Bii's head, Bii flinches at the contact but Divine pays it no mind.

"That was truly a wonderful duel, you are free to leave now if you please, I will have the results ready as soon as possible." He assures as he moves to leave.

"Uhm, ok, thanks?" Bii mutters awkwardly.

Aki sighs but doesn't comment on Bii's distrust of Divine, instead she says:

"Hey Bii?" He turns to look at her "How about we go celebrate? This IS your first win with someone that isn't me after all, so let's go out for dinner tonight." Aki suggests and Bii's face lights up at the thought of food.

"Oh? You two are going out?" Polaris chimes in and Aki blushes, he politely ignores it "Then please allow me to join you, it would be fair to treat you seeing as to how you defeated me, and it was an incredibly enjoyable duel."

"Huh?" Bii's head tilts in confusion.

"He's just saying he'll join us and pay…" Aki explains with some distaste and Polaris chuckles.

Bii of course eagerly accepts the company and runs to the exit, Polaris hangs back for a second before walking up to Aki and saying:

"I know how to take a hint, I'll leave quickly enough just allow me to treat you guys," Aki's eyes widened slightly as she turned to look at the older psychic "After that it's all you two, so good luck." He finishes with a wink.

Aki blushes again before following after the two boys.

"It really isn't like that…"

Somewhere in the Arcadia Movement

Divine walked through the hallways of the Arcadia Movement's main hallway with his usual serene smile, eventually he reached a door that had a 'do not enter' sign on it, he placed his eye in front of the peephole which turned out to be a retina scan, the door opened and he walked through it.

After crossing the door, Divine's smirk turned from warm and serene to cold and wicked.

'That boy clearly has a lot of power, maybe more so than Aki,' his smirk then diminished 'but he clearly won't be manipulated as easily as her, for all that he looks, talks, and acts like an idiot, he is awfully perceptive.' His thoughts came to a stop when he reached another door.

The moment he stepped in front of it the door opened, inside was a computer room with a man typing in one of them.

The man had an expressionless face with dull green eyes and blonde hair, his clothing consists of a green tunic with a purple shirt under it, he wears brown pants and black shoes with a green belt to finish his look.

"Hugo," Divine says "what did you find?"

The man, now known as Hugo, turns around still with no emotion on his face "The boy's powers are... the strongest we have ever recorded…" He informed lazily.

'So I was right' Divine thinks with a smirk.

"But there is something else…" Hugo drawled, catching Divine's attention "The systems detected… another energy source…" He yawns "with him…"

Divine raises an eyebrow and motions for his lazy partner to show him which he does a second later.

The screen shows a video of the duel, but when Hugo shows the energy scans, another figure appears next to Bii.

Divine smirks like a madman (which he is)

"Call Sebastian," he orders "We may have found a new toy for him to poke and prod."

Hugo sighs but begins typing a message for their third partner.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!" A voice announced "WELCOME TO TODAY'S MAIN EVENT! AND BOY WILL TODAY BE A TREAT FOR YOU! FOR TODAY, OUR KING DUELS!"

The crowd cheered wildly, the king only dueled when an opponent strong enough to actually give him a challenge appeared.

"SO GIVE HIM A WARM WELCOME! HERE HE COMES! THE KING OF THE UNDERWORLD: SHIRA-SAMA! THE GRIM REAPER!" He declares, making the crowd cheer even louder.

As the announcer finished, a cloaked figure entered the cage in the center of the arena.

The crowd started chanting his name as Shira remained perfectly still.

"AND NOW LET US WELCOME THE CHALLENGER FOOLISH ENOUGH TO CHALLENGE THE VERY REINCARNATION OF THE GRIM REAPER!" The announcer yelled, making the crowd laugh.

"HERE SHE IS! EVERYONE WELCOME: QUEEN!" As the announcer went quiet, another figure entered the cage, this time it was a smaller person with a white mask covering her entire face, her mint green hair reached her middle back before curling inwards, her entire body was also covered by a cloak, but unlike Shira's, hers was white.

"Queen? What sort of ridiculous name is that?" Shira questioned, speaking for the first time.

"I should be asking you that, Grim Reaper-chan~" Queen says with a playful tone.

"Hmm, oh well, it will not matter in a few minutes." Shira relents as he brings out his duel disk.

"Once again you took the words right out of my mouth," Queen giggles "After I beat you, no one will care who you are" She says as she also prepares her duel disk.

"HOLD ONTO YOUR DECKS!" The announcer interrupted "BEFORE YOU BEGIN, I MUST INFORM THE AUDIENCE OF WHAT IS AT STAKE HERE!" He explained.

Despite neither of their eyes being visible, they both shot an annoyed look at the announcer's box.

Said announcer audibly gulped before continuing "IN THE EVENT THAT QUEEN WERE TO LOSE, SHE WILL HAND HER DECK TO SHIRA-SAMA!" The crowd ohh's at this.

"AND IN THE UNLIKELY EVENT THAT SHIRA-SAMA LOSES, HE WILL HAND HIS INVITATION FOR THE FORTUNE CUP TO QUEEN!" The announcer reveals.

The crowd was now incredibly excited, with stakes like these then the duel was bound to be amazing.

"Now that that's done with…" Shira comments and the announcer confirms that they can go on with the duel to which he smirks "Get ready little girl, for today you will experience true fear for the first time."

"Don't fuck with me old man," Queen snarks back "After today you will be remembered as nothing more than a bedtime story."

They both stretched their right arms, both of them wearing customized duel disks, Shira's having a dark and demonic appearance, while Queen's was white and green with what looked like small diamonds encrusted along the edge.

They placed their decks in their spot and simultaneously yelled:

"DUEL!"

"I'll go first," Queen decides "Wouldn't want you to burn yourself out before we even begin" She says with a smirk which is not visible due to her mask.

"Do whatever you want, it will all be for naught."

"Alright then, I draw!" Queen looks at her hand before picking up a card "Since I control no monsters, I special summon my monster: Windwitch - Ice Bell!"

Windwitch - Ice Bell: Level 3, 1000/1000, Spellcaster, WIND.

Queen's monster appeared from a portal with a giggle before settling next to her master.

"Isn't she beautiful?" She asks "And her ability is as powerful as she is pretty, for when she is summoned, I can special summon another Windwitch monster from my deck, so I will summon Windwitch - Freeze Bell!" She declares as she searches her deck for the desired monster before placing it on her duel disk.

Windwitch - Freeze Bell: Level 3. 1200/1200, Spellcaster, WIND.

"And since Ice Bell was summoned I can also deal you 500 points of damage." She explains as Ice Bell charges a beam of ice on her wand before shooting it at Shira who, despite the pain, barely flinches. "Upupu, even that doesn't shake you up old man?"

"Of course not, the people of the underground are stronger than tha

Now that I control 2 monsters, I can special summon the tuner monster: Windwitch - Snow Bell from my hand." Queen says as the first non-human monster appears.

Windwitch - Snow Bell: Level 1, 100/100, Spellcaster, WIND.

"A tuner? So you're going to get serious now?" Shira assumes.

"Perhaps~" Queen sings and Shira narrows his eyes. "My level 1 Snow Bell tunes my level 3 Freeze Bell and level 3 Ice Bell!" The little chime turns into a green ring which the two witches proceed to fly into before turning into spheres of light.

"Frozen winds inside a prison of ice," Queen chants "give birth to a beautiful spirit within your raging blizzard and make her kneel before me! Synchro Summon! Appear, Level 7 Windwitch - Winter Bell!" A raging blizzard appears in the middle of the cage which lowers the temperature of the entire area, from within the blizzard, Winter Bell appears and spins in place a few times which disperses the blizzard.

Windwitch - Winter Bell: Level 7, 2400/2000, Spellcaster, WIND.

"And now Winter Bell's effect allows me to deal you 200 points of damage for each level a WIndwitch monster in my graveyard has, so I will choose Ice Bell."

Winter Bell shoots an ice beam at Shira who takes a step back as he is shocked by his duel disk.

Queen giggles again "Had enough yet?"

Shira grunts in response "As if, if that is all you have then you might as well quit now."

"My my, how admirable" She mocks "But I guess I will give you a break, I set 3 cards face down and end my turn." Queen places 3 of the 4 cards in her hand in the back row slot of the duel disk.

"Very well," Shira said as he drew for turn "Prepare yourself!" He picked a card from his hand and activated it "I activate the spell card: Unexpected Guy! I can now special summon one normal monster from my deck as long as it is level 4 or lower, so I will summon Nightmare Feeler!"

Nightmare Feeler: Level 1, 0/0, Zombie, DARK.

"A normal monster? Is that your ultimate strategy?" Queen asks with a chuckle.

"Hardly, observe, I now tribute my Nightmare Feeler to advance summon: Tome of a Thousand Terrors!"

Tome of a Thousand Terrors: Level 5, 1000/1800, Zombie, DARK.

"Are you scared of ghost stories, little girl?" Shira questions ominously.

"Pff, what? Are you going to tell me the story of Hanako in the toilet? Or maybe the Purple Mirror?" She snickered.

"Laugh all you want, you'll be trembling by the time this duel ends, the effect of my Tome of a Thousand Terrors allows me to summon two normal monsters, one from my deck and the other from my graveyard, so I summon Nightmare Feeler and Terror-Eyed Children"

Nightmare Feeler: Level 1, 0/0, Zombie, DARK.

Terror-Eyed Children: Level 2, 100/100, Zombie, DARK.

Nightmare feeler is a black core with semi-transparent purple hands stretching from it, while Terror-Eyed Children are three pale kids with completely black eyes and a deranged smile.

"Hoh? A tuner and two non-tuners, I wonder what could possibly come next..." Queen drawls sarcastically.

"Watch and learn how to truly use synchro monsters, My level 5 Tome of a Thousand Terrors tunes my level 1 Nightmare Feeler!" Shira declares as the floating tome turns into 5 green rings which a single light sphere proceeds to fly into.

"Knight of darkness, dive into the abyss of terror and gain unlimited power! Now be born from eternal evil! Synchro Summon! Envoy of the dark army: Wicked Shadow - Dark Trooper!"

A black sphere appeared in the cage and from it came a figure clad in a dark cloak and wearing a purple mask and holding a sickle.

Wicked Shadow - Dark Trooper: Level 6, 2100/1600, Zombie, DARK.

"How terrifying…" Queen deadpans.

"His power may not be much, but he more than makes up for it with his effect, Wicked Shadow - Dark Trooper's effect! I can destroy one card you control at the cost of destroying one monster on my field, so I will destroy Winter Bell and Dark Trooper!" Dark Trooper threw his sickle at Winter Bell, but midflight the sickle split into two with one of them flying backwards and curving before stabbing Dark Trooper in the back.

Meanwhile, the original sickle flew towards Winter Bell, but instead of stabbing her, it simply bounced off.

"Upupu, That won't work~" Queen sings.

"Why was your monster not destroyed girl?" Shira demands.

Queen giggles, "A monster that is synchro summoned using Snow Bell as a material can not be destroyed by card effect."

Shira grunts but soon after smirks "Dark Trooper's effect! When he is destroyed by a card effect, I can special summon any DARK monster from my graveyard, so I summon back my Tome of a Thousand Terrors."

Tome of a Thousand Terrors: Level 5, 1000/1800, Zombie, DARK.

"And since it was summoned I get to summon another two normal monsters! So I summon Nightmare Feeler and Death God Boomerang!"

Nightmare Feeler: Level 1, 0/0, Zombie, DARK.

Death God Boomerang: Level 3, 1000/400, Fiend, DARK.

"And since I summoned a normal monster while Dark Trooper is in my graveyard I can summon back Dark Trooper!" A portal opened on the ground and Dark Trooper jumped out from it.

Wicked Shadow - Dark Trooper: Level 6, 2100/1500, Zombie, DARK.

Queen hummed with interest.

"I will not make the same mistake again, my level 5 Tome of a Thousand Terrors tunes my level 2 Terror-Eyed Children!" The familiar green rings appear and two spheres go into them.

"Darkened soul born from a corrupt heart! Dive into the abyss of terror and be born from eternal evil! Synchro Summon! Assassin of the dark army: Wicked Shadow - Dark Killer!"

Wicked Shadow - Dark Killer: Level 7, 2300/1900, Zombie, DARK.

The new monster is similar in appearance to Dark Trooper, but instead of a sickle, it holds a pair of incredibly long scissors.

"Still too weak~" Queen sings.

"Watch and learn, first I activate two copies of the spell card Value of a Horse's Bone, I send my Nightmare Feeler and Death God Boomerang to the graveyard to draw 2 cards for each," Nightmare Feeler and Death God boomerang disappear and Shira draws four cards from the top of his deck. "Then, I activate Dark Killer's effect! I destroy one card I control in order to destroy one of yours, so I destroy Dark Killer and your left facedown!" Dark Killer jumped towards Queen's field before stabbing her facedown card, but before they were destroyed, Queen responded.

"If that's your plan then I will simply activate it! I activate the trap card: Ice Wind's Refrain!" The card flips over, throwing Dark Killer off of it and the monster is destroyed.

"I can special summon one Windwitch monster from my graveyard in defense position, so I summon Ice Bell!" Queen explains as her monster reappeared on the field.

Windwitch - Ice Bell: Level 3, 1000/1000, Spellcaster, WIND.

"And since Ice Bell was summoned, you take 500 points of damage."

Ice Bell shot another ice beam at Shira who staggered at the shock from his duel disk, but…

'Was that… cold?' He thought with confusion.

Shira growled "How annoying," the 'Grim Reaper' mutters "but, Dark Killers effect!" he declares "When he is destroyed by a card effect, I can summon any DARK monster from my graveyard!"

"And let me guess…" Queen interrupts with an unimpressed tone "You are bringing back your glorified story book?"

"You are beginning to annoy me girl," Shira snarls.

"I am aware of the effect I have on men." Queen jests.

Shira ignores her "I summon my Tome of a Thousand Terrors!" The tome appears again "And I once again can summon normal monsters, however, I will only summon one from my graveyard, I summon Death God Boomerang!"

Death God Boomerang: Level 3, 1000/400, Fiend, DARK.

"Now I activate the effect of Wicked Shadow - Dark Killer, when I summon a normal monster, I can special summon back my Dark Killer!

Wicked Shadow - Dark Killer: Level 7, 2300/1900, Zombie, DARK.

"Your deck doesn't like to stay sitting does it?" Queen asks absentmindedly.

"My level 5 Tome of a Thousand Terrors tunes my level 3 Death God Boomerang!" Shira declares while ignoring Queen.

"Relentless seeker with unparalleled skills in the world of darkness, dive into the abyss of terror and send your hunters at their prey! Synchro Summon! Hunter of the dark army: Wicked Shadow - Dark Sicker!" The new monster was once again dressed exactly the same as the other 2 but instead of a sickle or a pair of scissors, it was holding a chain with two bats at the end which were desperately trying to fly towards Winter Bell.

Wicked Shadow - Dark Sicker: Level 8, 2700/2100, Zombie, DARK.

"And let me guess…" Queen drawls without even paying Shira any mind "Destroy a card and bring back your bedtime story book?"

Shira grits his teeth "Dark Sicker's effect! I can destroy one card I control in order to destroy two of yours! I destroy Dark Sicker to destroy your last set cards!" Shira declares.

The two bats stopped pulling at the chain and instead flew behind Dark Sicker and pierced right through him before heading towards Queen's two set cards and piercing through them.

"How annoying…" Queen mutters.

"And now Dark Sicker's effect! I summon any DARK monster from my deck or graveyard! So I summon back my Tome of a Thousand Terrors!"

Tome of a Thousand Terrors: Level 5, 1000/1800, Zombie, DARK.

"And due to its effect I summon Goadsucker from my deck!"

Goadsucker: Level 4, 1700/300, Zombie, DARK.

"And Dark Sicker comes back since I summoned a normal monster." Shira finishes.

Wicked Shadow - Dark Sicker: Level 8, 2700/2100, Zombie, DARK.

"Trooper, Killer, Sicker, what's next? Creamer?" Queen mocks.

"Enough of your foolish comments! I will end this with my next move! My level 5 Tome of a Thousand Terrors tunes my level 4 Goadsucker!"

"Endless despair surrounded by eternal darkness! Dive into the abyss of terror and be reborn from a world without light! Synchro Summon! Hope of the dark army: Wicked Shadow - Dark Shiner!" The new monster is (yet again) dressed exactly like the previous ones, but (once more) the weapon is different, this time instead of holding a chain it holds… nothing.

Wicked Shadow - Dark Shiner: 2900/2300, Level 9, Zombie, DARK.

"And since I summoned Dark Shiner, I can target any card you control and remove it from play, which means Winter Bell will finally leave the field!" He declares with full confidence as Dark Shiner shoots a sphere of energy from his hand at Winter Bell.

"Uh uh uh~" Queen sings while wagging her finger "Not so fast Shira-chan," He growls at the nickname "I activate the effect of Windwitch - Mirror Bell in my hand, when you activate a monster effect, I can special summon Mirror Bell and negate that effect." Queen explains.

The new monster is a girl wearing an outfit similar to that of Ice Bell, but has longer, light blue hair and there is a mirror hanging from her broom.

Windwitch - Mirror Bell: Level 5, 1200/1700, Spellcaster, WIND.

Dark Shiner's sphere of energy collided with Mirror Bell's mirror before dispersing.

Shira clenched his fist in anger, every time he thought he finally had her she pulled something out of her sleeve to save her monsters.

But she wouldn't save herself from this.

"Mirror Bell only negates the activated effect of the monster, which means Dark Shiner's other effect can still be used!" Shira declares.

"Eh? You'll finally do something other than bust your own monsters and then bring them back?" Queen asks with feigned interest.

"Dark Shiner's effect!" Shira yells, drowning out Queen "I can perform a Synchro summon by using monsters in my graveyard as the materials!"

"What was that?!" Queen cries out, this time with genuine shock.

'This guy is actually going to get 5 synchros out?!'

"From my graveyard, my Level 5 Tome of a Thousand Terrors tunes my level 3 Death God Boomerang and level 2 Terror-Eyed Children!" A portal opened and all three monsters came flying from it before turning into five green rings or 5 spheres of light respectively.

"Embodiment of the end! Harbinger of death and despair! Now Dive into the abyss and be born from the world without light! Synchro Summon! Death of the dark army: Wicked Shadow - Dark Reaper!" A black sun appears in the middle of the cage and from it comes an ominous figure, unlike the other 3 which looked like humans in dark, torn cloaks with a mask covering their faces, this one is a skeleton with a cloak that fully covers it, its weapon is a black scythe that goes all the way from its head to its feet.

Wicked Shadow - Dark Reaper: Level 10, 3300/2700, Zombie, DARK.

"AMAZING!" The announcer (and where had he been all this time?) yells "THIS IS IT! SHIRA-SAMA'S PERFECT 5 SYNCHRO COMBO! ALSO KNOWN AS THE 'PASSAGE TO HELL!"

Queen gulps.

"That is… more impressive than I expected from someone like you." She admits.

Shira grins "This is your end girl! I activate Wicked Shadow - Dark Reaper's effect! I can, once per turn, remove from play all cards your control! Hell's Nightmare!" Dark Reaper swung its scythe and a purple energy blade appeared and launched itself towards Queen's field.

"Mirror Bell's other effect!" Queen calls out "During either player's turn, I can target one monster I control and make it immune to all card effects until the end of this turn, so I choose my WInter Bell!" Said monster turned semi-transparent right before the energy blade hit and went right through her.

Ice Bell and Mirror Bell were not so lucky and were quickly wiped out.

"INCREDIBLE! CHALLENGER QUEEN HAS MANAGED TO SURVIVE SHIRA-SAMA'S PASSAGE TO HELL!" The announcer declares.

"Tch, you survived that as well?! I activate the spell card: Curse of the Dead!" Shira placed the green bordered card on his duel disk, "With it, a Zombie monster I control gains 200 attack points for each removed from play monster, so Dark Reaper gains 1000 attack!"

Wicked Shadow - Dark Reaper: Level 10, 4300/2700, Zombie, DARK.

"Let's battle! Wicked Shadow - Dark Sicker attacks Windwitch - Winter Bell! Death Hunter!"

Dark Sicker lets go of his bats which immediately head towards Winter Bell, once they reach her they bite into her shoulders.

Queen braces herself for the shock that came a few seconds after.

"Winter Bell can't be destroyed by battle due to Freeze Bell's effect." She explains when Winter Bell doesn't leave the field.

"I see," Shira growls out "Dark Sicker can attack twice during each battle phase, Death Hunter!"

The same sequence as before occurs and the duel disk shocks Queen again.

"And now Dark Shiner attacks Winter Bell! Black Shining!" Dark Shiner shoots an energy sphere from his hand which crashes into Winter Bell before exploding.

"And now for the main event," Shira whispers ominously "Wicked Shadow - Dark Reaper attacks Windwitch - Winter Bell! Early Harvest!" The skeletal figure swings its scythe horizontally at Winter Bell who is thrown a few feet back and Queen's duel disk gives her the biggest shock yet.

Queen: 1000

Shira: 2400

"Gah!" She yells as she staggers from the shock.

Shira chuckles maliciously "Feeling scared yet girl? Has it sunk in for you that you will die tonight?"

There was silence for a few seconds before it was interrupted by…

Giggling?

It was like a child's giggle, warm, innocent, happy.

It terrified everyone who heard it.

"Me? Die?" Queen whispers, but it is easy to hear due to the eerie silence that fell over the arena…

…

…

"DON'T FUCK WITH ME!"

The scream was loud enough to shake the hanging lights that illuminated the dark arena, and it contained enough rage to petrify even Shira for a few seconds.

"Me?! Die?! Don't screw with me! The only one who will die is you!" Queen yells.

Shira manages to compose himself and is about to continue with his turn but…

'Why did it get so cold down here?' He asks himself, and he's not the only one, most people watching had put on a coat or were visibly shivering.

"It's still your move, so go ahead and end your turn"

Shira shakes his thoughts off and says "I set two cards face down and end my turn." Two vertical cards appear behind Shira's monsters "And during the end phase, I activate the second effect of Dark Trooper, you take damage equal to the level of one monster you control times 100! Evil Shooting!" Dark Trooper's sickle glowed purple before he swung it, shooting a purple energy beam at Queen.

Queen: 300

Shira: 2400

"Now it's your move girl" Shira finishes.

Wicked Shadow - Dark Reaper: Level 10, 3300/2700, Zombie, DARK.

Queen grins despite her covered face "My turn! I draw!" She draws her card and immediately plays it "I activate the spell card: Pot of Greed! With it I can draw 2 cards!" And she does.

"Now I activate the spell card: Resurrection of the Dead, with it, I can summon back my Snow Bell"

Windwitch - Snow Bell: Level 1, 100/100, Spellcaster, WIND.

"You think some level 8 synchro will save you now?" Shira questions with a chuckle.

'It's especially useless due to my facedowns, the moment she attacks, I will activate Holy Barrier - Mirror Force, and if she destroys it I still have my Fearful Attack to prevent anything she might have planned' Shira thought with confidence.

"I activate Winter Bell's effect!" Queen declares, interrupting Shira's thoughts "Targeting Freeze Bell, you take damage equal to her level times 200."

Another ice beam is shot at Shira who takes a step back.

Queen: 300

Shira: 1800

Queen laughs "Now are you ready?! This will be the most beautiful show!" She picked a card from her hand "And it will all be thanks to this one card, can you guess what it is?" She asks, not expecting an answer.

"Stop fooling around and make your move already!" Shira snaps, tired of the younger girl's antics.

"Very well…" She trails off "I activate the spell card…" She pauses.

"Well?" Her opponent pushes.

"I activate the spell card: Fusion!"

"WHAAAAAA?!" The announcer yells in shock.

"Fusion?!" Shira follows.

"THIS IS AMAZING! THIS IS THE FIRST FUSION WE HAVE SEEN IN THE UNDERGROUND IN OVER 18 YEARS!" This made the crowd excited, seeing such an old summoning method nowadays is always a treat.

"I will use my Windwitch - Winter Bell and my Windwitch - Snow Bell, and fuse them!" A spiral appears above the monsters and they both fly into it.

"Servant born in the prison of ice, servant with the tune of the mid-winter snow, listen to my song of creation and merge! Fusion Summon! Be born as my new servant: Windwitch - Crystal Bell!"

Windwitch - Crystal Bell: Level 8, 2800/2400, Spellcaster, WIND.

The new monster appeared in the middle of the arena with a heavy blizzard which brought the temperature down even lower, and everything in the arena was blown back slightly by the strong winds.

"Impressive monster," Shira admits "But it is too weak to truly damage me."

Queen giggles, there is no more warmth there "Is that so? Crystal Bell's effect! I target one monster in either graveyard and copy its effect! So I choose my Winter Bell!"

"What was that?! But Winter Bell's effect is-!" Shira asks in shock.

"Crystal Bell's effect!" Queen interrupts "Targeting Winter Bell, I deal you damage equal to her level times 200!" Crystal Bell shoots a blizzard at Shira which throws him against the wall of the cage as he is shocked by his duel disk.

Queen: 300

Shira: 400

"THIS DUEL! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! THIS IS SO CLOSE THAT IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PREDICT THE OUTCOME!" The announcer yells, summarizing the thoughts of everyone listening.

"I haven't lost yet! So bring it girl!" Shira declares.

"Don't forget you asked for it! Let's battle! Crystal Bell attacks Wicked Shadow - Dark Trooper! Finale Blizzard!" Queen responds.

Crystal Bell shot a blizzard at Dark Trooper, but before it went through…

"Fool! I activate my trap card: Holy Barrier - Mirror Force!" A barrier appeared in front of Shira's monsters which deflected the blizzard back to Crystal Bell, destroying her.

"AMAZING! SHIRA-SAMA JUST TURNED THIS AROUND BY USING A LEGENDARY TRAP CARD! HOLY BARRIER - MIRROR FORCE!"

"As if that would stop me! Crystal Bell's effect!" Queen exclaims "When she is destroyed by a card effect, I can special summon Winter Bell and one level 4 or lower Windwitch from the graveyard, so I summon Winter Bell and Snow Bell!"

Windwitch - Snow Bell: Level 1, 100/100, Spellcaster, WIND.

Windwitch - Winter Bell: Level 7, 2400/2000, Spellcaster, WIND.

"And now Winter Bell attacks Dark Trooper!" Winter Bell shoots an ice beam at Dark Trooper and Shira smirks.

"This is the end! I activate my second trap card: Fearful Attack!" He declares "By removing Nightmare Feeler and Goadsucker in my graveyard from play, I reduce Winter Bell's attack to 0! Lose by your own hand!" He smirks.

Windwitch - Winter Bell: Level 7, 0/2000, Spellcaster, WIND.

Shira's confidence is shattered by the sound of maniacal laughter.

"Didn't I say this twice already, old man? The only one losing is you! I activate the spell card: Frozen Melody - Ice Bell Mayhem!" Queen takes the last card on her hand and slams it into her duel disk "While I control at least 2 monsters, I can tribute a synchro monster…" Winter Bell disappears and is replaced by a swirling, blue sphere "To destroy every monster on the field!"

The sphere explodes and the resulting explosion consumes every monster.

"Gaaaah!" Shira yells as the light engulfs him as well, but is shocked when his duel disk also shocks him.

"W-What is the meaning of this?!" He yells in pain.

Queen laughs again "And the second effect of Winter Melody, we both take damage equal to the combined level of all monsters we controlled!" She reveals.

"W-What?!"

'But that means-!'

6+7+8+9+10= 40x100= 4000

"I told you before, didn't I?" Queen asks "The only one who will die is you…" She finishes ominously.

"G-Gaaaahhh!" Shira yells as he is fully consumed by the explosion.

It is completely quiet for a few seconds as the dust settles.

And when it does… everyone is welcomed to a horrific sight.

Queen: 200

Shira: 0

Laying on the floor is the body of the king of the dueling underworld with his hood down, his revealed face showed blue hair and a poorly shaven beard, but what caught everyone's attention were his two hollow eyes.

Lifeless.

No one believed they meant anything.

But what followed was even more repulsive.

They all cheered.

"AAAAAAAAND IIIT IISSSSS OOOOVVERRR!" The announcer informs "THE WINNER IS QUEEN! OUR KING HAS BEEN DEFEATED!"

Queen walked over to Shira's defeated body and started unsympathetically searching him, after a minute she found what she was looking for.

"Oi!" She calls out to the announcer "Since I won," she shows the envelope to everyone "this belongs to me now doesn't it?" After receiving confirmation, Queen smirks and begins to walk away.

After exiting the arena, Queen's mask falls off and shatters, revealing a sickly pale skin and jade green eyes, her small lips have a hint of red lipstick, and her teeth are showing with a deranged smirk.

AAAAAAND DONE! You guys have no idea how long I have been writing this for, and I really enjoyed it (except the flashback scene, that was dreadful).

There are a few things I want to say:

First off, big shout out and thank you to XAkariiRoseX for being amazing, she helped me a lot when working on this chapter, if you haven't read her stories then go do that instead of reading this, her stories are amazing.

I do not own Yugioh 5ds, I only own my OC's and original cards like: Bee Force - Desperate Bardiche the Defender's Demise, and Frozen Melody - Ice Bell Mayhem.

Every chapter will have three small sections at the end: Fun Fact, Question of the Chapter, and Featured Card, but in honor of the first chapter, I will do 3 of the first 2, so here we go, and I hope you enjoyed the chapter.

Fun Fact: Originally, Faye was supposed to play a Flower Cardian deck and her personality was going to be fairly similar to Chojiro's from Yugioh Arc-V, but that changed when I realized that there are only so many combos that Flower Cardian have that don't just end with Lightflare, and that would have gotten boring really fast, so I replaced her deck with Superheavy Samurais and made her personality a more lazy and… I don't really know what the other word is, uncaring?

Fun Fact: 'Lies' is the section that went through the biggest number of changes, it was originally going to be entirely just a flashback with the featured duel being Aki vs Bii, with Hama doing most of the talking with Bii, said boy was also not going to have a duel disk and was going to turn his cards directly into the monsters, but that got scrapped because… it was really stupid, and I wanted to introduce Polaris so that next chapter I can get straight into the actual plot.

Fun Fact: Shira's deck is based on the deck of Omaeno Ushiro from Yugioh SEVENS.
