A/N: And here, we finally have the 2nd chapter of "Pokémon: My Life as a Snorlax". :) And there's going to be a big change at some point, if you know what I mean.
Pokémon: My Life as a Snorlax
Chapter 2: Lumiose City Pursuit
First, it showed a herd of Snorlaxes turning to notice a flaming part of the plane coming down before it exploded, shocking the snorlax greatly, shocking them awake, mainly because of the impact of the crash. And among all the snorlaxes, one of them looked up to see Serena staring in shock over what has happened before she gently landed on the snorlax who looked up to see her, who stopped sobbing for a moment as she looked up at the snorlax before later getting carried all the way to its home, which was revealed to be a big tree with leaves providing enough shade for the snorlax to rest on the bark as well as a small pile of berries nearby before showing each change thatt Serena went through one year at a time until finally, her transformation was complete.
Narrator: Tragedy struck for Serena on her way to the Kalos Region. But just as she was losing heart, the Snorlax had offered to take her in as part of their family, and over the years, Serena gradually transformed into a Snorlax herself and has readily accepted her new body and community.
Then, it showed Serena starting to glow a crimson glow and grow bigger than the other Snorlax, who then quickly offered her their berries to Serena, who grew bashful about it before later setting off out of the cave and then noticing Ash and Pikachu under attack from Team Rocket before dispatching them with Mirror Coat and Stomp, sending the mischievous trio of villains blasting off and then getting rushed over to Professor Sycamore's lab with Fletchling flying in after her.
Narrator: 6 years later, Serena underwent an unexpected growth spurt from the apparent Dynamax Berry Cluster and set off outside the cave to look for more food for her new family. But as soon as she and Fletchling arrive, Team Rocket was after Ash and Pikachu. However, Serena saved the day. We join Ash and Serena as they race toward Professor Sycamore's Pokemon lab.
"This way! Hurry up!", Bonnie shouted.
"Okay!", Ash nodded.
"Snooo-ooo-oorlaaa-aaa-aaa-ax!", Serena exclaimed, feeling as though the Earth was shaking as she was hurriedly dragged off with Fletchling flying in with her.
"Clemont! Go faster!", Bonnie shouted, having noticed that Clemont was very far behind.
"I'm running as fast as I can. Ash, don't wait for me, get going.", Clemont panted.
"You got it, Clemont.", Ash responded.
"I can't believe how slow my brother is.", Bonnie sighed.
Meanwhile, in the tree was Team Rocket, no doubt sent there after Serena sent them blasting off with a stomp.
"To think that we find the first human-turned-Pokémon and already get trounced by one!", Jessie exclaimed.
"Unforgivable...", James groaned.
"And embarrassing...", Meowth added.
"Guys, this way!", Bonnie urged, puzzling Team Rocket.
"Right!", Ash agreed, not knowing that Team Rocket was watching them nearby.
"That's it, the Sycamore Pokemon Lab!", Bonnie grinned.
"It's the toddling twerps. And there's that Pokémon that stomped us off!", Meowth spoke.
"Sycamore Pokemon lab?", Jessie pondered.
"It must be for studying Pokemon.", James guessed.
"I'll wager all the strong and rare Pokemon in there will make you fall over.", Meowth smirked before Wobbuffet popped out of Jesse's Poké Ball.
"Wobbuffet!", Wobbuffet shouted before the branch suddenly broke off, causing the villains to fall down, not knowing that a water frog Pokémon was watching the heroes from the trees, too.
Meanwhile, Ash, Serena, Clemont, and Bonnie finally arrived at Professor Sycamore's lab.
"Hello! Professor Sycamore, are you there?", Ash called before Professor Sycamore entered, yawning.
"Coming.", Professor Sycamore yawned.
"Are you the professor?", Ash asked.
"Snorlax.", Serena greeted a bit nervously.
"Incredible...!", Professor Sycamore gasped in surprise.
"Do you have any idea what happened to her?", Ash asked.
"No... This is unprecedented. Sophie come quick!", Professor Sycamore urged before Sophie came in and saw Serena, surprising her as well.
"What the...?!", Sophie exclaimed.
"We have to look into this and see what we can do for her.", Sycamore urged.
"Right.", Sophie agreed.
"Pika...", Pikachu spoke in slight worry.
"Thanks, Professor.", Ash thanked before Clemont finally arrived, albeit very exhausted as he panted quite heavily.
"You're so slow!", Bonnie spoke.
"How is she?", Clemont asked.
Later, our heroes saw Serena sitting on the ground as Sophie analyzed Serena's blood while Serena herself and Fletchling looked on.
"I wonder what happened that turned her into a Snorlax.", Ash pondered as Professor Sycamore arrived.
"There's nothing to worry about. Sophie is the absolute best at what she does.", Professor Sycamore assured.
"Great.", Ash grinned before he, Pikachu, Clemont, Bonnie, and Professor Sycamore himself sat on the couch as Serena and Fletchling turned to the window next to them.
"I'm Professor Sycamore. I'm a Pokémon researcher working here in Kalos.", Professor Sycamore responded.
"Nice to meet you. My name is Ash. And this is my partner Pikachu.", Ash greeted.
"Pika!", Pikachu added.
"Oh. So, that's what the boy's name was.", Serena grinned a bit in surprise.
"I'm just glad we finally have a name to go with that face.", Fletchling spoke to Serena before the two noticed another Pokémon named Garchomp nearby, who turned to see Serena and became surprised with widened eyes.
"My name is Bonnie, and this is my brother Clemont.", Bonnie added.
"It's truly an honor to meet you, Professor Sycamore.", Clemont added.
"Pikachu and I got here today from Pallet Town in Kanto.", Ash responded.
"From Kanto?", Professor Sycamore puzzled.
"Right. I'm traveling on a journey so I can become a Pokémon Master.", Ash responded.
"Pikachu.", Pikachu added.
"Then welcome!", Professor Sycamore greeted.
Then, a noise came out of nowhere and the heroes look to see a Garchomp speaking with Serena in Pokémon speak, although for Serena, it was in english.
"Snorlax, Lax. Lax Lax Snor? (Hi, Garchomp, how are you?)", Serena asked.
"Gar... Gar Gar, Gar... (Uh..., doing fine, actually.)", Garchomp responded.
"Snor? Snorlax. (Really? Me, too.)", Serena grinned.
"Ah! Check it out, a Garchomp!", Ash spoke excitedly.
"Pika, Pikachu!", Pikachu grinned as it hopped onto Ash's shoulder.
"Garchomp lives here in the lab. It has a good heart.", Professor Sycamore responded as he came to Garchomp and petted it.
"Garchomp, how are you feeling?", Professor Sycamore asked as he petted it.
Just then, Sophie gasped.
"Professor Sycamore, look at this.", Sophie spoke.
"What is it?", Professor Sycamore asked.
"It's the girl's blood. I've noticed a few things about it. First off, this blood is more Pokémon than human now. Second, it belonged to a girl who was involved in a plane accident 12-13 years ago and went missing.", Sophie spoke, making Serena gasp.
"What? Are you sure?", Professor Sycamore asked in surprise.
"Yes. And there's one more thing. Apparently, ever since, over those years, her blood started to develop some gene anomalies, accounting for her change into a Snorlax. Half of those anomalies are closely related to those in certain Pokémon that allow them to Mega Evolve. But the other half of those anomalies are unrecognizable.", Sophie responded.
"Wow. They can Mega Evolve...?", Ash puzzled.
"Pika...", Pikachu concurred.
"How so?", Professor Sycamore asked.
"I'm not sure. Those anomalies look red and have swirling clouds on them. And they all have that crimson glow.", Sophie responded.
"Those are Galar Particles. But how did they wind up inside her? This sounds big... We'll need to look into this further.", Professor Sycamore spoke before Sophie nodded.
"There was an accident? What could've happened?", Ash puzzled.
"Well..., you see, from what I was told, there was a freak electrical storm near Kalos. During that storm, an unlucky airplane wandered into its strike zone and was brought down. As a result, nobody survived the crash. Or, at least, I thought so, until now.", Professor Sycamore responded.
"What?!", the group exclaimed.
"You mean that this girl was the sole survivor of the crash?!", Bonnie exclaimed.
"That's right. And this survivor's name is Serena.", Professor Sycamore responded.
"Oh, man. I had no idea...", Ash spoke in surprise.
"Until now, neither of us did. And now that we know, I can only assume that she's been through so much since then.", Professor Sycamore guessed as he noticed how dismal Serena's getting with Garchomp and Fletchling especially worried for her.
"Hey. It's okay. You're safe now, Serena. You can thank these people.", Professor Sycamore assured to Serena, who glanced toward Ash, Clemont, and Bonnie just as Garchomp turned to see them as well.
"Nice to meet you, Serena, Garchomp, Fletchling.", Ash greeted.
"Pika, Pika.", Pikachu added.
"You really care a lot don't you?", Ash guessed as he then petted Garchomp.
"Serena's gonna be okay, promise.", Ash assured, slightly touching Serena as she gave a touched look.
"May I pet Serena and Garchomp too, please?! I've never seen a real Garchomp before.", Bonnie asked.
"Of course. I don't know for sure with Serena, but Garchomp would really like that.", Professor Sycamore assured as he lifted Bonnie up to pet Serena first and then Garchomp.
"Yay! Aw, you're so cute.", Bonnie spoke to Serena, making her blush as she was petted in the belly before Garchomp was petted next.
"Good Pokémon.", Bonnie spoke before Serena and Garchomp both nuzzle her.
"Snooooorlaaaaax... Snore Snore Snorelax... Laaaaax... (Oh, this feels so nice... Please pet me some more... I like it when you pet me...)", Serena moaned.
"Hey, you like me.", Bonnie grinned.
"Professor. I've heard a lot about your research on Pokemon evolution. Is it true?", Clemont asked.
"Yeah. There're a lot more Pokemon living right here at the lab than Garchomp.", Professor Sycamore responded.
"Oh, I wanna see them! I wanna see them! I wanna see them now!", Bonnie spoke excitedly.
"Well, I think we can do something about that. Cosette, look after Garchomp, will you?", Professor Sycamore requested.
"Of course, sure thing.", Cosette responded before the group walked over to the lab, although Clemont noticed that Ash was staying behind.
"Aren't you coming, Ash?", Clemont asked.
"Yeah, I'll catch up with you.", Ash assured.
"Oh, okay.", Clemont grinned before walking out.
Then, Ash turned to notice Serena looking more dismal than ever, not knowing that she was thinking about her deceased parents.
"Serena, are you okay?", Ash asked.
"Pika, pika...", Pikachu added in worry.
Then, all of a sudden, Serena then shrank down to the same height as ash, but a bit taller. What's more, she also lost weight up to a point that she gets skinny again, but in a normal way all while her fur then turns back into her skin with her ears and tooth reverting back to normal, leaving her only in her pink loincloth, surprising Ash and Pikachu as they gasped in surprise. It wasn't long before Serena noticed, too, via reflection, especially noticing that her long, ruffled hair is now covering her chest.
"Lax?! Lax Lax Snore Snorelax?! Snorelax...? (What?! I've turned human again?! But how...?)", Serena puzzled, getting sad again.
"Professor Sycamore! Take a look at this!", Ash shouted.
"What is it, Ash?", Professor Sycamore asked as he walked in.
"See for yourself.", Ash responded, gesturing to Serena, now human again.
"Incredible...! She's turned back into a human? But how?", Professor Sycamore asked.
"Don't know. It actually just kinda happened.", Ash responded.
"Pikachu.", Pikachu responded.
"I see. But there are still a few things we need to help Serena remember about being human to be certain.", Professor Sycamore responded.
"But how do we go about it?", Ash asked.
"Well, I might have a few ideas.", Professor Sycamore added before later, Serena was now wearing a grayish-black tank-top with a white collar, a red skirt, a dark pink hat with a black bow and hatband, black stockings, and black shoes, with a pink backpack to carry her goods.
"That better, Serena?", Ash asked.
"Snore.", Serena nodded.
"Okay.", Ash grinned.
First up, Ash and Pikachu were helping Serena learn how to speak like a human again.
"Okay, Serena. We'll draw a word on the board and see if we can help you say it while we work our way up. That way, it'll be easier for you to figure out how to talk like us again.", the professor stated as he drew Serena's name on the board.
"How about we start with your name, Serena? Sounds simple enough. Right, Pikachu?", Ash asked.
"Pika.", Pikachu nodded.
"All right. The word is your name. Se... re... na. Can you try saying it? You could take your time on this if you want.", Professor Sycamore spoke before Serena nodded and took a deep breath.
"Snorlax.", Serena spoke, puzzling both the professor, Ash, and Pikachu.
"Uh, I don't think that's the right word here.", Ash spoke with a slight grin.
"Pika...", Pikachu replied.
"All right. Let's try this again. Se... re... na.", Professor Sycamore spoke.
"Ssnorlax.", Serena spoke.
"Huh?! Again?!", Professor Sycamore reacted in surprise before clearing his throat.
"Well, that's to be expected. It may've been difficult to learn how to talk as human babies, so naturally, this case isn't exactly an exception.", Professor Sycamore guessed.
"Yeah, I guess you're right.", Ash agreed.
"All right. Again.", Professor Sycamore spoke.
"Senorlax?", Serena spoke.
"Well, this may take a while.", Ash guessed.
"Pika...", Pikachu agreed.
4 tries later, Professor Sycamore was still determined to help Serena talk again with the same said for Ash and Pikachu.
"Okay. Try again.", Sycamore spoke.
"Se...norlax.", Serena spoke.
"Well, at least she's trying.", Ash guessed before 3 more tries passed.
"You can do it, Serena.", Ash assured.
"Senorlax.", Serena spoke.
'Huh?!", Ash reacted at the same time Pikachu exclaimed.
"Look, Serena. You got the 1st syllable right, but we need to work on the other 2 for this word. We got 'Se' covered. Can you move on to 're'?", Sycamore asked before Serena nodded.
"Ser...norlax.", Serena spoke.
"Oh, so close! You were halfway past that one.", Sycamore spoke.
2 tries later, Sycamore spoke up.
"Let's try that one again.", Sycamore spoke.
"Sere...norlax.", Serena spoke.
"Hey. Did you hear that? She got 2 syllables down.", Ash grinned.
"Pika Pika.", Pikachu grinned.
"Yes, we're getting close now.", Sycamore grinned.
2 more tries later, though, Serena still wasn't having any luck.
"Serelax.", Serena spoke, causing Sycamore to react in surprise.
"Huh...?!", Sycamore spoke before 3 more tries happened.
"You can do it, Serena.", Ash assured.
"Serenorlax.", Serena spoke.
"Seems like we're still halfway there.", Sycamore spoke.
"Pika...!", Pikachu exclaimed as it then fell over in disbelief.
"I'm not giving up on you, Serena. You didn't give up when you helped save Pikachu, so I'm not giving up on you.", Ash assured.
5 more tries later, Sycamore spoke up.
"Okay, Serena. Let's try this... again.", Sycamore sighed before Serena spoke up again.
"Se...re...nalax.", Serena spoke.
"Huh? Hey, she said, 'na', that time.", Ash spoke.
"Pikachu...", Pikachu added Before Serena then cleared her throat.
"Se... re... na.", Serena spoke before gasping in amazement as did Sycamore and Ash.
"Serena...", Serena repeated in awe before she stood up.
"Ash..., I'm human again.", Serena grinned sadly.
"That's great.", Ash grinned before then noticing that Serena was getting sad again.
"But what's the matter?", Ash puzzled.
"It's...my late family. Back when the crash happened, when the plane started falling, my parents tried to save me... They even told me that we'd jump together. But then..., the plane broke in half and we got separated. Fletchling and I survived, but... I never saw my parents again!", Serena sobbed, worrying Ash, Pikachu, and Sycamore.
"Pika, pi...", Pikachu spoke sadly.
After a moment, Ash spoke to Serena.
"Well, I'm sure they'd be really proud of you for what you did back there when Team Rocket showed up.", Ash assured, puzzling Serena, who then became filled with hope gradually replacing the despair.
"Really?", Serena asked.
"Yeah. You see, I really want to thank you for saving me.", Ash thanked.
"Pika, pika.", Pikachu agreed.
"Pikachu and I think you're awesome. Look what you did as a Pokémon. You saved Pikachu back there. You're the best.", Ash grinned.
"Pika...", Pikachu added.
Needless to say, Serena was touched, especially to a point that she hugged Ash, surprising him.
"Thank you...", Serena spoke with a grin, shedding tears out of joy.
"No problem.", Ash grinned.
"We still have a couple things to go over, though.", Sycamore spoke.
"You up for this, Serena?", Ash asked.
"Yeah. As long as I'm with you, I can do this.", Serena grinned with newfound determination.
Then, as time passed, Serena showed her usual eating habits to Ash before he stopped her after a moment and then gestured to her, stating that Serena should ask if anyone would want some food before Serena then decided to share some berries with Pikachu and Fletchling before eating the rest in a calm pace in a human amount (that is, after guessing that Snorlax amounts in human form don't really help much if they can't fit in her mouth). And afterwards, Serena then decided to groom her hair with her hands before then learning how to groom it the right way, making her grin in awe, before later walking out with Ash, Pikachu, Fletchling, and Professor Sycamore.
"Well, looks like you're all ready now.", Sycamore grinned as he and the others entered the garden where most Pokémon other than Garchomp resided.
"Amazing, wow!", Ash grinned.
"So, Ash, how's Serena feeling?", Clemont asked.
"Why don't you see for yourself?", Serena asked as she walked in, surprising both Clemont and Bonnie in shock.
"Oh, wow! So that's our mysterious Snorlax?", Clemont asked in surprise.
"Wow, she's so pretty! I can't believe she was a Snorlax before!", Bonnie added.
"Mm-hmm.", Serena nodded.
"So, Professor, what kind of evolution are you researching?", Ash asked before it then showed Garchomp in the jar with green waves surrounding it.
"Well, if I told you that Pokemon may have an additional evolutionary stage, what would you say?", Sycamore asked.
"Are you serious?", Ash asked.
"So you're saying Garchomp can still evolve?", Clemont asked.
"Possibly. That's my research.", Sycamore responded.
"Whoa.", Ash spoke in amazement.
"Unbelievable.", Clemont added.
"I heard about something like that. That was part of why my family wanted to go here.", Serena responded before it showed a silhouette of Mega Ampharos and Mega Charizard X just behind Sycamore as he explained further.
"There had been several reports about different Pokemon evolving in a way that we researchers refer to as 'Mega Evolution.'", Sycamore explained.
"Mega Evolution?", Ash and Serena asked in awe.
"A lot of the mechanics are still a mystery. But we believe that a strong bond between Pokemon and Trainer as well as the special stone play a crucial role in evolving.", Sycamore responded.
"Strong bond, huh?", Ash spoke in wonder.
"Pika.", Pikachu said.
"What's more, a Pokemon is able to return to its previous form after it evolves this way.", Sycamore stated.
"It can turn back?", Ash asked.
"Wait. Do you think it might have something to do with me turning into a Snorlax and then back to normal after 6 years?", Serena asked.
"Given what we just learned, that is possible.", Sycamore responded.
"That reminds me. I've been meaning to ask, but how were you so much bigger than any other Snorlax?", Ash asked.
"Well, it probably had something to do with that berry cluster I ate for breakfast before coming here. Before I left, the Snorlax who took me in told me something about the power it held from the Galar Region. They called it Dynamaxing. I'll even tell you the details I know about it so far if you want.", Serena grinned.
"I see.", Sycamore grinned.
Meanwhile, Team Rocket was on top of the window, spying on and overhearing the heroes.
"Mega Evolution and Dynamaxing? Strong stuff.", Meowth spoke.
"Further evolution, after evolving!", James added.
"The way is clear. After we catch a Mega-Evolving Pokémon here, we'll try our luck with Pokémon that can Dynamax in the Galar Regioin as well. Every Pokemon's ours. Catching times!", Jessie added before Wobbuffet popped out again.
"Wobbuffet!", Wobbuffet exclaimed before Team Rocket shut its mouth.
Sometime later, Team Rocket appeared in Professor Sycamore's lab, disguised as researchers.
"Oh, fellow researchers?", Jessie asked.
"We've come to research Mega Evolution.", James added.
"You have?", Sophie asked.
However, Serena was walking back to the entrance when she saw saw Team Rocket in their disguises speaking with Sophie.
"We've come to be a scientific service.", Meowth assured.
"I wasn't told anything about this.", Sophie spoke.
"I'll check with the Professor.", Colette assured.
Then, Team Rocket whispered at each other as Garchomp growled before Serena appeared.
"Excuse me. Do I know you three from somewhere?", Serena asked.
"Look! It's the one that blasted us off!", Meowth spoke.
"Then that's the one who will feel our research wrath first. So let's get ready to research!", James spoke as he opened the box and picked up a device.
"Now, please, step aside, This research is not for the faint of heart.", Jessie spoke.
"Voila!", James shouted as he threw the device, which was about to get Serena when Garchomp stepped in and the device got strapped on its neck instead, turned into a collar, and let loose a zap that not only hurt Garchomp, but also caused its eyes to turn blue.
"Garchomp!", Serena shouted.
"Oh, no! Garchomp!", Sophie shouted in worry.
"Not our intended target, but whatever. They did say Garchomp might be able to mega evolve.", Jessie said.
"Let's roll with the punches, it's a Garchomp grab!", Meowth spoke.
"Garchomp, we insist that you come along for the ride!", James spoke as he used a remote for the collar, but then Garchomp roared, trying to get the collar off and Froakie try to help but the collar bounced it back as Garchomp roared, catching Ash and the others' attention.
"Hey, that's Garchomp!", Ash shouted as he and the others ran.
Meanwhile, Garchomp fired Hyper Beam around the research before hitting the Bookshelves behind it, knocking all the books away and hitting the wall on its back, causing the collar and its eyes to turn from light blue to red.
"Hold on, this isn't how we plan it.", Jessie spoke.
"Come on, Garchomp! Go with the program!", Meowth urged.
"Most peculiar.", James spoke as he checked the remote.
"Stop it! Can't you see Garchomp is in pain?!", Serena shouted before, as if to illustrate her point, Garchomp roared in pain.
"Garchomp!", Ash shouted.
"Ash!", Serena shouted.
"What's going on?", Ash puzzled.
"Pika!", Pikachu spoke in worry.
"Professor! Those three did this!", Sophie alerted.
"Alright, who are you?!", Sycamore shouted.
"Prepare for trouble alright, we're us.", Jessie responded.
"And make it double. No muzz, no fuzz.", James added before Team Rocket removed their scientist clothes revealing their true clothes.
"Oh, no, Team Rocket!", Ash said.
"You are such annoying bad people!", Bonnie shouted.
"Team Rocket?", Sycamore puzzled.
"They're bad guys who tried to steal everybody's Pokémon!", Ash responded.
"Try? We succeed.", Jessie corrected.
"And today, Garchomp will fill that need!", James added.
"There's nothing like doing an evil deed!", Meowth agreed.
"It can't be! A Talking Meowth!", Professor Sycamore spoke in surprise.
"You mean you can hear him talk, too?", Serena asked.
"Pardon?", Sycamore puzzled.
"The wisdom gushes out of my mouth.", Meowth replied.
But then, all of a sudden, Garchomp fired Hyper Beam at Team Rocket, sending them flying to the sky.
"Aw, no fair!", Team Rocket shouted.
"Wobbuffet!", Wobbuffet exclaimed.
"Well that was quick.", Serena spoke.
"What, Garchomp? What's going on?", Ash asked before suddenly, Garchomp fired another Hyper Beam.
"Look out!", Ash shouted before the attack almost hit the heroes.
"What was that for?!", Ash exclaimed.
"Ash, look at Garchomp's neck!", Serena urged before he and the others saw what Serena was pointing toward.
"It's some sort of collar.", Professor Sycamore stated.
"It's from those people!", Sophia shouted.
"What?", Sycamore asked.
"Garchomp jumped in to save me.", Serena replied before Garchomp jumped out of the research and went around the streets of Lumiose City out of control.
"Garchomp!", Ash shouted.
"Pika!", Pikachu shouted.
"Garchomp must be in a lot of pain.", Ash guessed.
"What's gonna happen to Garchomp?", Bonnie spoke in worry.
"Nothing. Because we're not gonna let anything happen to it!", Serena urged.
"Then, let's go after it!", Ash agreed.
"Pika!", Pikachu concurred.
"Please be very careful! Sophie, check to see if the other Pokemon are okay.", Sycamore urged.
"Right.", Sophie agreed.
"Oh, Clemont, I wish we could help poor Garchomp out.", Bonnie spoke in worry.
"Then let's go, too.", Clemont assured before Serena turned to the door.
"All right! Let's go save Garchomp!", Serena urged as she ran out the door with Ash and Pikachu following her as well as Clemont and Bonnie.
Act II
As Garchomp flew over Lumiose City, it fired Hyper Beam around the town as the police car arrived.
"Attention, Citizens. There's a Garchomp currently on a wild rampage! Please evacuate the area immediately!", Officer Jenny warned before a sort of helicopter arrived.
"At present, Garchomp is flying towards Prism Tower!", the female news announcer began just as Garchomp flew towards and landed on the Prism Tower before then firing Hyper Beam, almost hitting the helicopter.
"Garchomp is now unleashing random hyper beams! It just aimed once straight at our helicopter. Garchomp seems extremely agitated.", the female news announcer spoke as it then fired Hyper Beam again before our heroes arrived.
"Garchomp!", Ash shouted.
"Pikachu!", Pikachu exclaimed.
"I see it!", Serena shouted.
"There you are, guys!", Bonie shouted.
"We gotta try and get close to it.", Ash suggested.
"But that's dangerous!", Clemont warned worriedly.
"No, Garchomp's the one who's in danger! We've got to find a way to get that collar off!", Ash urged.
"But we need to hold it down and get it off of its neck.", Serena added.
"I know, if getting close to Garchomp is what you need to do. I think I just came up with the way.", Clemont smirked.
"You did?!", Ash spoke in surprise before he, Serena, Bonnie, Clemont, and Pikachu ran to the back of the Prism Tower.
"So, what now?", Serena asked.
"There's an emergency stairwell through that door. Good thing I brought my backpack. The future is now thanks to science. All right. Clemontic Gear on. Aipom arm go!", Clemont shouted before the Aipom arm appeared and entered a sort of code.
"Wow, check that out!", Ash spoke in awe.
"Now, we can get in.", Clemont grinned.
"Man, science is so amazing!", Ash grinned.
"You've got that right, that's my brother's inventions.", Bonnie grinned.
"I've must admit I'm kind of good at these things.", Clemont responded before they got inside.
"Thanks, Clemont.", Ash thanked.
"Sure thing.", Clemont assured as Serena looked up to see what was happening.
"Guys, look out! Hyper beam at 12 o'clock!", Serena shouted before Garchomp fired another Hyper Beam down below almost hitting the heroes as Serena narrowly jumped inside while the others got separated and the door was now blocked by the debris.
"Oh, no!", Serena spoke in worry.
"Guys, you okay?!", Ash shouted.
"Yeah, but don't worry about us. You and the others just get going.", Clemont assured.
"Okay, we're on it.", Ash assured.
"Come on, let's go!", Serena urged.
Just then, elsewhere near the scene, Professor Sycamore arrived.
"Officer Jenny!", Professor Sycamore urged.
"Professor Sycamore!", Officer Jenny spoke in slight surprise.
"I'm so sorry about the trouble. So, where's Garchomp?", Professor Sycamore asked.
"Hey! Up there!", one of the bystanders shouted, pointing toward Ash and Serena, who were climbing up, much to the other bystanders' surprise, especially Sycamore and Officer Jenny's.
"It's some kids!", the man added.
"What? It's Ash and Serena!", Professor Sycamore spoke in surprise.
"Hey, Garchomp.", Ash greeted.
"Take it easy. We're not gonna hurt you.", Serena assured before Garchomp only turned to the heroes and fired a Hyper Beam, although, thankfully, it missed just as Clemont and Bonnie noticed the explosion from down below.
"Oh, I wonder if Ash and Serena are alright.", Bonie spoke in worry.
"Please, Garchomp, you've got to calm down.", Ash urged before Garchomp roared in pain.
"He's right. Let us help you, please.", Serena concurred.
Just then, the helicopter flew around the Prism Tower.
"There's some kids up on Prism Tower! Could they be trying to talk to Garchomp?", the news reporter asked.
After a moment, Garchomp flew up.
"Garchomp! Come back!", Ash urged before Garchomp only flew all the way on top of the Prism Tower.
"What do we do now?", Serena asked before Ash, Serena, and Pikachu looked up to see the ladder before the trio climbed up.
"There they are! I can't believe how brave Ash and Serena are when it comes to helping out Pokemon!", Bonnie spoke in surprise before it showed a flash back to when Ash saved Pikachu before Serena saved Pikachu back when she was in her Snorlax form.
"I need to get up there.", Clemont spoke.
"Wait, I'm going with you.", Bonnie spoke as the two siblings went over to the debris and then started moving debris off to clear a path with Clemont using the Aipom arm to remove the rocks and get inside the door while Bonnie had trouble climbing.
"Take my hand, Bonnie.", Clemont spoke as he offered her his hand.
"Thank you.", Bonnie grinned.
Meanwhile, Ash, Pikachu, and Serena have made it all the way on top of Prism Tower and saw Garchomp.
"We're here to help, Garchomp.", Ash assured.
"Just calm down. We don't mean you any harm.", Serena added.
"Unbelievable! Those kids have climbed to the top of Prism Tower!", the female news reporter spoke in surprise before Garchomp fired hyper beam again only for the heroes to dodge it again, prompting Pikachu to prepare to attack.
"No, Pikachu!", Ash shouted.
"Pika?", Pikachu puzzled.
"Wait. I don't want you to attack Garchomp.", Ash spoke.
"Pikachu.", Pikachu spoke in worry.
"It's not its fault. The collar's making it go crazy.", Serena explained before Clemont and Bonnie arrived.
"Pull youself together, Clemont!", Bonnie urged as she climbed up after Clemont, who was now exhausted.
"My legs. Where's Ash and the others?", Clemont asked.
"Up there at the top of the tower!", Bonnie replied.
Meanwhile, all of a sudden, Garchomp fired a Hyper Beam and the heroes dodged it again.
"Garchomp can you hear us?! We know it hurts! You're in a lot of pain! And while the pain I had was obviously different, I can understand that! ", Serena assured.
"Pika...", Pikachu added.
"We just want to help you. Please let us get the collar off of you, so we can go back down.", Ash assured.
"Please. So what do you say?", Serena asked before Garchomp roared and struggled to get the collar off as its eyes turned back to normal and then flashed back to red and back off, not knowing that it was about to fall of the tower while it backed away.
"Wait! Garchomp, look out!", Ash shouted.
"You're gonna fall!", Serena added before the water frog Pokémon from earlier jumped into action and released the sticky frubbles to hold Garchomp by holding its feet, surprising Ash and Serena before they turned to see it from behind.
"Froa.", Froakie spoke.
"Who's that Pokémon?", Ash asked.
"From what I heard, I think that's a Froakie.", Serena replied before Garchomp roared in pain, still trying to remove the collar.
"Now's our chance! We've got to destroy that collar!", Serena urged.
"Right!", Ash agreed before he and Serena both jumped on Garchomp's neck.
"Garchomp! Hang on and we'll get this thing off of you!", Ash assured before Garchomp fired Hyper Beam again and missed.
"That was too close!", Serena shouted.
"Pikachu, use Iron Tail on the collar!", Ash shouted before Pikachu activated Iron Tail and destroyed the collar with a slash, causing Garchomp's eyes to turn back to normal as it then fell on its knees.
"Are you okay?", Ash asked before Garchomp noticed.
"We did it!", Serena grinned before Pikachu and Froakie ran to the heroes.
"That must've hurt. Help's on the way. Don't worry.", Ash assured.
Suddenly, part of the floor collapsed, making Pikachu fall down.
"Pikachu!", Ash shouted.
"Pika!", Pikachu shouted before Ash jumped off the tower to save Pikachu much to Serena's shock in dismay to see him falling down.
"Ash! No!", Serena shouted before she, too, jumped off to save him, too, shocking Clemont, Bonnie, Professor Sycamore, and Officer Jenny before Ash and Serena fell with the former reaching for Pikachu while the latter noticed red lights in sparkles moving toward her belly.
"Huh? What's going on? And why do I feel so weird...?", Serena puzzled just as Ash then finally caught up to Pikachu.
"Pikachu!", Ash shouted as he grabbed Pikachu just in time.
"Pika Pi!", Pikachu spoke in worry as it and Ash closed their eyes, preparing for a major crash-landing.
Little did Ash know that Serena was starting to go through a transformation as a column of bright red light emitted from her belly.
"What the...?!", Serena spoke in surprise before the column of red light touched the sky, causing dark crimson clouds to form with a swirl at the center, astonishing all who saw the sky.
"What's happening?", one man among the crowds of people spoke in surprise.
"I don't know what's happening, but this is starting to feel good.", Serena grinned as her ears and tooth turned into those of the Snorlax again just before her chest and butt suddenly bulged outward, pushing against both her shirt and skirt.
"Maybe more than usual.", Serena spoke in with a slight, embarrassed grin before she started growing into a snorlax again as her snorlax fur grew all over her body at the same rate her clothes ripped off, but this time, her growth didn't stop there as she continued growing bigger!
It wasn't long before Ash and Pikachu opened their eyes midfall and saw Serena growing bigger in Snorlax form, much to their surprise as well as Clemont, Bonnie, Garchomp, Froakie, Professor Sycamore, and Officer Jenny's before Serena went past Ash and Pikachu by going to the right.
"Everyone, clear away form the area immediately!", Officer Jenny shouted before she and the others hurriedly did so with Serena landing on the ground with everyone cleared away from the vicinity in time, albeit narrowly, and moaning as she grew bigger before a flower sprouted from her belly and then grew not only into a tree, but a very big one at that as well as some grass and bushes with flowers on them before more trees grew as well (one of which Ash and Pikachu landed in), even sprouting a few berries each with Serena's gigantic growth finally stopping with her feet nearly touching one of the buildings at the side.
When the growth was complete, Serena was now bigger than any Snorlax. As a matter of fact, the tree that sprouted upon her belly now had three red clouds surrounding it like a circle.
"Oh. My. Goodness! This is incredible! She has a Gigantamax form.", Sycamore spoke in awe.
After a moment, Ash and Pikachu got down the tree and then went up ahead to notice Serena not only close by, but also right in front of them.
"Serena...?! She's like...a mountain! I mean, she's so big and there's an actual tree up there!", Ash exclaimed in surprise.
"Pika...!", Pikachu agreed.
"WHOA...! THAT FELT GREAT!", Serena spoke in a deep, booming voice, surprising everyone who was nearby.
"What just happened?", Officer Jenny asked.
"That's Dynamax. I've heard of something like that from the Galar Region before, but I never thought I'd see it with my own eyes here.", Sycamore responded.
"Froa. Froakie.", Froakie grinned.
"Gar...", Garchomp grinned.
"WHAT A RELIEF!", Serena sighed, her voice still deep and booming.
"Serena, what happened?", Ash asked in surprise.
"I THINK THAT MAY BE THE DYNAMAXING THE OTHER SNORLAX TOLD ME ABOUT.", Serena guessed.
"Wow, really? That's awesome!", Ash spoke in amazement.
"Pika Pika.", Pikachu grinned before Professor Sycamore arrived.
"Hey, Ash, Pikachu! Thank goodness the two of you didn't get hurt.", Sycamore grinned.
"We're both doing great. And Garchomp's all back to normal.", Ash grinned.
"AND I JUST DYNAMAXED FOR THE FIRST TIME.", Serena added.
"Thank you, kids. Officer Jenny is on her way to get them now.", Sycamore assured.
"Professor Sycamore, about Dynamaxing...", Ash spoke, making Serena blush with a grin.
"Another research topic for me.", Sycamore grinned.
"HEH. I'LL BET I CAN GET USED TO BEING LIKE THIS. BUT FOR NOW...,", Serena spoke before giving a booming yawn.
"I NEED A NAP...", Serena sighed before sleeping.
The next day, Serena was now back in her human form.
"Hope you all got some sleep. Even thought there's a mess in there.", Sycamore grinned.
"Yeah, I slept like a log.", Ash added.
"Speak for yourself, I slept like a tree, never mind a whole forest.", Serena added.
"Best sleep I've had in a long time.", Bonnie grinned.
"Thank you for everything.", Clemont added.
"I guess your journey begins now, doesn't it, Ash?", Sycamore asked.
"Yep.", Ash added.
"And so does mine. With Ash, of course.", Serena added, puzzling Ash.
"Ash, if you want, I'd love to come along with you on your journey. Not only as your friend, but also as your Pokémon partner.", Serena grinned.
"Really?", Ash asked in slight surprise before Serena nodded.
"Well, all right. Welcome aboard, Serena.", Ash grinned.
"Pikachu.", Pikachu grinned.
"Great.", Serena nodded before her ears and toothed fang grew in with her chest, belly, and butt growing as she gained weight, transforming into a Snorlax once again as her clothes ripped out form the strain again, leaving her only in her Snorlax fur like before.
"Snooooorlaax!", Serena grinned.
"Ah, it feels good to be this way again.", Serena grinned.
"But what made you want to decide to go with him as Ash's Pokémon Partner, Serena?", Clemont asked.
"Well, it's just... I have this feeling, something interesting is about to happen. Also, I love it when Bonnie pets me.", Serena grinned.
"Aw.", Bonnie grinned cutely.
"Oh, and by the way. Have you've received a Kalos Region Poké Dex yet?", Sycamore asked.
"No.", Ash responded.
"Then please take this with you on your journey and make good use of it.", Sycamore spoke as he gave Ash the Poké Dex.
"Thanks a lot, Professor.", Ash grinned before he aimed the Poké Dex at Serena, causing the Poké Dex to react as it opened up and showed an image of her Snorlax form.
"Serenalax. The Hybrid Pokémon. Although able to change into human form, this Pokémon has just as much an appetite if not more so than the snorlax.", the Poké Dex stated.
"Uh, I think I'll just go by Serena.", Serena blushed with a grin.
"Are you ready to go, guys?", Ash asked.
"You bet!", Serena grinned.
"Pikachu!", Pikachu added.
"Good luck with your research Professor. Bye!", Ash spoke as he left before a frubble came out of nowhere, hitting Ash right on his face before he looked to see a Froakie with a Poké Ball.
"Froakie?", Ash puzzled before said Pokémon softly pushed the Poké Ball to Ash.
"Hey, I think it wants to go with you. That never happened before.", Sycamore guessed.
"It didn't? What do you mean?", Serena puzzled.
"Well one of my numerous responsibilities is to give Trainers their very first Pokemon. Froakie's a Pokemon meant for new trainers.", Sycamore responded.
"Meant for new trainers?", Serena puzzled.
"That's correct. But this particular Froakie is a bit different, refusing to listen to it's trainer during battle, There have been times when Froakie ran away, simply because it didn't like it's trainer. And several trainers have come back to my lab just to return it.", Sycamore explained.
"You mean more than one?", Ash asked.
"Pikachu.", Pikachu added.
"So, Froakie's in a hard life.", Bonnie guessed.
"I've heard quite a few rumors about a new trainer's first Pokemon like that, But it seemed absurd, so I never believed them.", Clemont added.
"I'm sure Froakie acts that way for a reason. That was all the more apparent when Froakie appeared to help keep Garchomp from falling last night.", Sycamore stated.
"Oh, yeah. We never got the chance to thank you for that last night, Froakie.", Serena grinned.
"I can't believe it. Froakie chose you.", Clemont grinned.
"It really likes Ash. That's so sweet.", Bonnie added before Ash picked up the Poké Ball.
"You think so, huh? Froakie, do you want to come with us?", Ash asked before Froakie pressed the button and got inside the Poké Ball.
"It's awesome you and Serena are coming with us, Froakie.", Ash grinned before the Poké Ball shook a bit.
"Pikachu, Serena and Froakie are our first friends in Kalos.", Ash grinned.
"Pika!", Pikachu shouted excitedly.
"Yes! I got a Froakie! Yeah!", Ash exclaimed.
"Pi, Pikachu!", Pikachu shouted, making Serena giggle.
"Right. Let's go.", Serena said.
Narrator: Our hero has his first Pokémon from the Kalos Region, Serena and Froakie. Now what other friends in adventures await Ash? Find out, as the journey continues.
Meanwhile, in a dark room at a sort of HQ, a man with pointed red hair looked at a monitor with orange light on it and grinned to himself, seemingly preparing to make his strategic move.
