Chapter Twelve: Christmas Day
The Air Patroller flew for a few hours before landing in Adventure Bay at the Lookout. All the passengers disembarked from the jet. While Godwin got onto the reindeer's back, he bid everyone farewell, "Thank you all again."
"It was no problem." Ryder said with a grin. Then he added, "Whenever Christmas is in trouble, just yelp for help."
"And I will do so." Godwin said with a humbled nod. Then looking to Mayor Humdinger he said, "Well done, Henry Humdinger. This is sure to help you stay on the Nice List. Until your next big scheme that is."
"Uh?" Mayor Humdinger said before the reindeer ran across the lawn and took off. After watching the Elf disappear, Goku stretched his arms and yawned. He then looked to the others and said, "Well, I don't know about you guys, but I sure can sleep for a while."
"No argument here." Skye agreed as they made their way to the Lookout. Ryder looked to Mayor Humdinger and asked, "Do you need a ride back to Foggy Bottom?"
"Uh, no." Mayor Humdinger declined. Pointing down the driveway he said, "I left my special cat carrier down there. We'll just be taking our leave." But looking to the boy with slightly narrowed eyes he said, "And don't think this team up means that we're best pals or anything."
"If you say so, Mayor Humdinger." Ryder shrugged. Mayor Humdinger huffed before looking to his kittens, "Let's go, kitties. Back to Foggy Bottom for us."
All six of the kittens mewed before following after him. Ryder only had a grin before following the others into the Lookout.

Merry Christmas everybody
An hour or two after the sun had rose over the horizon in Adventure Bay and everyone was starting to wake up. Children were rushing down the stairs while the parents followed behind them.
Big Time Rush: Put down the video games
Pick up some candy canes
Some children opened their presents while their parents watched with smiles. Others dumped out their stockings to see what was in them.
Big Time Rush: And hang a wreath on your door, hey
Give back to those who need
Bring peace and harmony
Up on Jake's Mountain, both Jake and Everest woke up to see some gifts left under their tree. On the island with the lighthouse, both Cap'n Turbot, Wally and Walinda all greeted each other.

We'll celebrate a wonderful year
Over at Mr. Porter's place, he and Alex opened up their gifts with big grins. At Katie's Pet Parlor, the girl handed Callie a new cat toy. The feline played with it while Katie laughed.

Down in the Dino Wilds, Tilly Turbot woke up to find a few gifts for her and her mother and Rex. She smiled as she handed them their gifts. All three had big smiles when they opened their gifts.

At Farmer Al and Yumi's place, the two exchanged a present before opening it. They smiled at what they received before embracing each other.

In Foggy Bottom, Mayor Humdinger pulled into his not-so secret lair. He let his kittens out and remembered the trophy from the talent show. He brought it out of its spot before placing it on the console. They all happened o notice a few gifts sitting in the corner of his lair. But deciding that they were tired, Mayor Humdinger and his kittens all walked off into the lair.

At the Lookout, all six just decided to sleep at the game area on a few sleeping bags. While Ryder and Goku slept on both sides, all seven animal members of the Paw Patrol were all sleeping in a pile.

Under the mistletoe
Girl I've been waiting all year
In the Ruff-Ruff Pack's hideout, Dwayne opened the gift that was left to him and became excited. It caused both Hubcap and Gasket to wake up before looking to their fellow ruffian. He presented a few dog treats and distributed it amongst them. Though they were a little confused, both Hubcap and Gasket accepted Dwayne's gift.
Big Time Rush: Rudolph can take a break
Frosty can melt away
Back on Jake's Mountain, Jake and Everest were riding in the former's truck when he saw something coming up the road. He saw a green truck with Dr. Turbot. Tilly and Rex in it. She pulled up next to Jake and handed him a bag. Knowing what was in it, Jake nodded his thanks before driving off and the three returning back home.
Big Time Rush: As long as i got you here

We'll celebrate a wonderful year
As Katie was walking towards the Lookout, Mayor Goodway was driving the same way in her car. She offered Katie and Callie a ride to which they graciously accepted.

Up at the North Pole, all the Elves were dancing about for a job well done. Godwin helped Santa up the stairs to the balcony before helping him sit down. Santa sighed as he thought of what a near disaster, but then smiled when it turned out all right.

Every star will shine tonight
As they drove along the road, Mayor Goodway noticed a red truck driving behind them and saw that it was Jake and Everest. The two vehicles kept driving to the Lookout.

Mayor Humdinger decided to lay down in his bed and his kittens all joined him. They curled around him and they all closed their eyes.

A lot was on Mayor Humdinger's mind as he thought of the last few days. It began to really make him think about his life. Though he was sure that he was going to come up with another scheme, it did make him think about the future.

Both Mayor Goodway and Jake's vehicles stopped in the driveway of the Lookout. They all greeted each other as they stepped out of their rides.

They all walked side by side to the doors of the Lookout and walked in when the doors opened. They were all a little confused when they saw everyone on the ground of the gaming area on a few sleeping bags. But they all looked to each other and shrugged as if not to question it.

A few hours later on the floor of the Lookout lobby, everyone of the Paw Patrol was still laying on a sleeping bag. But there sleep was ended when they heard a shout, "Guy? Hey, guys! Wake up!"
"Huh?" Chase said as he opened his eyes. The others groaned in tiredness as well as they woke up. They looked to see Mayor Goodway, Chickeletta, Katie, Callie, Jake and Everest standing in the lobby. Ryder rubbed his eyes and asked, "What are you all doing here?"
"I think the better question is, why are you all sleeping on the floor, dude?" Jake asked. Rocky yawned and said, "We kind of pulled an all-nighter."
"That would explain why you're all looking so tired." Katie chuckled. Everest then said, "Oh! By the way, Dr. Turbot came by this morning to give you these."
Jake pulled a small bag out of his coat and handed them to Ryder. The boy looked in the bag and said, "Healing Roots."
"I think we should all take on." Goku said to his pupils. Goku reached into the bag and pulled out a few roots. He handed one to each of the team and they ate theirs without complaining. When they swallowed, they all felt much better as they stood up. Goku then stood up and asked, "You got one more of those, Ryder?"
"Uh, yeah." Ryder said and pulled out another root. He handed it to Goku and the Saiyan said, "I'll be right back."
He disappeared with Instant Transmission leaving the guests of the Lookout a little confused.

North Pole…
Goku reappeared back up at the North Pole in the middle of the factory. All the Elves gasped at the sudden appearance of the Saiyan. Goku looked about and asked, "Any of you know where I can find Santa?"
One of the Elves pointed up on the balcony and Goku nodded, "Thanks."
He flew up to the balcony, surprising the Elves, and landed on the balcony. He saw Santa sitting in a chair. The man in the red suit had a grin and he said, "I thought you might be back."
"I have something to help your leg." Goku said and showed him the Healing Root. With a nod of appreciation, Santa took the root before eating it. He swallowed it and suddenly his leg felt all better. Carefully rising to his feet, Santa tested his leg. He was satisfied when he could feel that it wasn't broken and could move around a lot better. Santa took Goku's hand and shook it with gratitude, "I thank you again, Son Goku."
"It was no big." Goku waved off with a grin. Santa shook his head and said, "It was indeed a big deal." He explained, "For I truly enjoy knowing that there is still joy of all kind in the world."
"Is that why you deliver presents?" Goku asked and put his hands behind his head. Santa nodded, "I do. For it's not just presents that are given on Christmas Day, but new experiences as well."
"I think I kind of get it." Goku shrugged as he thought about it. Santa walked up to the Saiyan and placed a hand on Goku's shoulder as he said, "Goku, while I cannot say too much about your future, I do know that it will be one well spent."
"Huh?" Goku asked in confusion. But Santa didn't say anymore as he said, "Now if you'll excuse me, I have to help the Elves before I go to take a rest." He started to turn before saying, "Farewell, Son Goku."
Goku watched as Santa walked down the stairs to the factory floor. Then without another word, Goku once again performed Instant Transmission and vanished from the North Pole.

He reappeared back at the Lookout and accidentally startled a few. Ryder, Wild Cat and all the Pups laughed a little while Jake and Mayor Goodway calmed down a little. When he stopped laughing, Ryder looked to Goku and asked, "Is he okay now?"
"Yup." Goku nodded with a grin. Jake looked between all those who were at the North Pole and asked, "Who are you guys talking about?"
"We'll tell you all about it." Wild Cat promised. But before any stories could be shared, Mayor Goodway was quick to say, "But before any of that, I've come to invite you all to a Christmas dinner being held over at City Hall."
"Really?" All the big eaters of the group said with big smiles and dazzled looks in their eyes. Mayor Goodway laughed and said, "Of course."
"One of the best things about Christmas." Rubble said as he started to drool. Wild Cat nudged the Bulldog and jokingly commented, "You gonna need a bucket, Rubble?"
"Maybe not." Rubble said as he was able to get himself under control. As the group started walking out of the Lookout, Everest walked up to Marshall and said, "Hey, Marshall?"
"Yeah." The Dalmatian said and looked to her. Everest glanced up and asked, "What's that over the doorway?"
Marshall looked up and saw a little plant hanging by a string. He gulped when he knew what it was and nervously said, "Uh, it's mistletoe."
"Oh, is it?" Everest coyly asked and glanced away. Marshall was a little nervous and he said, "Um, I, uh…"
He was caught off guard when she gave him a kiss on the cheek. The Dalmatian felt as if his insides were becoming red hot and thought that steam would come out of his ears. He calmed down when she moved back and giggled from the look on his face. Marshall then said, "I, uh, have something for you."
"Really?" Everest excitedly said with her tail wagging. Marshall walked over where he left her present and picked it up. When he brought it back, Everest had a big smile and said, "I love it."
"R-Really?" Marshall asked. Everest nodded before gracing the Dalmatian with another kiss, this time on the lips.
From behind a few of the others had stopped to watch the moment. Chase, Rocky, Zuma, Skye, Rubble and Goku all saw the Husky kiss the Dalmatian. And while one hardly knew what was going on, the others gave slightly teasing, "Ooh!"
Everest quickly backed away from Marshall and said, "What are we waiting for?! Let's get our Christmas on!"
"Yeah!" The others cheered and rushed out the door. Goku was about to follow them out when he noticed that Marshall still hadn't moved. He smiled when he said, "Hey, Marshall! You coming?"
"Huh?" Marshall said and looked about. He noticed that he was the only Pup still in the room and smiled when he said, "Yeah! I'm coming!"
Both Goku and Marshall followed after the other Pups to get their Christmas on. And it was a merry one indeed.

Author's Note: And this is the final chapter to the story. Next is the Ending Titles and learning who voiced who and all that and we're officially done with the story.
