When I opened my eyes, I was surrounded by white.
"Tails?" Amy asked, placing her hand on the glass wall between them. She looked around her, only to find herself, a Sonic-Chao next to her, and Tails on the other side.
"You're awake! I-I don't know where we are…" Tails hugged his namesakes, clearly afraid. This was all too much for a 12 year old boy.
"What's going on…" Amy trailed her hand across the glass, wondering if she could break it. She tried to bring out her hammer, but her hammerspace was empty. Clearly, someone took it away from her when they arrived. She noticed the choker around Tails' neck and felt it on her as well. She reached for it, tugging on it to no avail. Just then, a voice came from above.
"Amy Rose. Murder the Chao within the next 30 seconds. If you are to refuse, a level 1 shock will be applied to Tails."
"What?" Amy blurted out, confused. She had no idea what was going on, but she knew that she wouldn't strangle a cute little Chao. Especially one that reminded her of Sonic so much. She picked it up and snuggled it, ignoring what the voice told her. A countdown starting from 5 came from the invisible speaker, but Amy ignored it. Tails, however, was a bit more startled. A sudden shock went across his body, but it just made him yelp.
"Tails? Are you okay?" Amy asked, hearing the little scream from the two tailed fox.
"It um...It hurt. Like a zap. It kind of hurt" He hugged his tails tighter, now having a legitimate reason to be afraid.
"Amy Rose. Murder the Chao within the next 30 seconds. If you are to refuse, a level 2 shock will be applied to Tails."
Amy sensed a disturbing aura. Something was not right, but 30 seconds was way too short of a time to think of a clever plan.
Tails screamed in agony, clutching his entire body and rolling around on the ground. Amy pounded on the glass wall, and the Chao next to her cowered in fear.
The level of pain kept increasing, and by shock level 3, Tails had passed out.
The Sonic-Chao tugged on Amy's leg, looking up at her with the most vulnerable eyes she had ever seen.
Every time the number went up, Tails' body shook and shuddered, but he still remained unconscious.
By the time a level 6 shock was initiated, blood started pouring from every orifice on his body.
Amy scrambled to grab the Chao, which was running away from her now.

With a tear-soaked face, Amy wrapped her hands around the Chao's neck.

For a second she thought she could hear Tails' voice.

"It's okay, Amy."

Nothing about this was okay.
"Don't you hate me, Tails?" Amy asked, kneeling over the dead Chao.
"Not at all, Amy." Tails answered, wiping the blood from his eyes.
