"You have a lot of power in your blasts!" I said, rubbing the back of my head as we walked towards the medical room. We had trained a bit, and because I am not a fighter, I got my rear handed to me, BIG time.
"You focus on your magic too much, it would be wise to take Robin up on his training." Starfire said, with me nodding as I agreed with her.
"True but staying away from the fight is what I feel more comfortable with." I said as we turned around the corner, with my foot hitting a wire. Looking down at it, I looked up as I heard Beast Boy yelling "No".
I was then smacked in the face with a balloon that was full of Moter oil. Getting knocked on my rear, I cleaned the Moter oil off my eyes, looking dead at Beast Boy, who looked shocked at what just happened. "You, ok?" Cyborg questioned, with Starfire kneeling down next to me.
"This is punishment? He, did something wrong?" She asked as I continued to clean my face off.
"He didn't, Beast Boy did." Raven said, with me standing up.
"I... you weren't... He was... hehe, just remember to change that oil every three thousand miles!" Beast Boy said, with me taking in a deep breath to calm down.
"Beast Boy, I will punish you for this!" I said, using my magic to put the oil back into the balloon, fixing it so that it wouldn't stain the carpet or the walls. "We just had this building cleaned, and we will keep it that way." I said, passing it back to him. "I know that you like pranks, and Cyborg was also punished for his prank, and you will receive the same punishment!" I said, making him gulp at that. "But for now, all of you have something to take care of." I said, confusing them.
"Titans, Trouble!" Robin said, with everyone looking in his direction, seeing that he was hiding in the shadows.
"Go, I'm going to check myself out!" I said, with all of them going with Robin. Beast Boy stayed behind for a bit and then ran off to catch up. It was clear he wanted to say something, but I didn't care right now.
Later
Grabbing my communicator as it was ringing, I opened it up and saw Robin appear on screen. "Have you delt with two lightning users?" He asked, with me shaking my head.
"Nope, want me to search my archive for any information?" I asked as I got up and left my room, and straight into my library.
"To be more accurate, Thunder and Lightning. Try Chinese or even Japanese, the way they look, and talk makes me feel that they originated from over there." He informed, with me knowing what he was talking about now.
"The Storm Twins, Supernatural Spirits of Earth. The origin of Thunder and Lightning is unknown, but they are of supernatural origin rather than human. Their lack of connection to humanity conditioned a lack of responsibility in regard to the destructiveness of their powers, which they used to have fun. They don't know this, but their power can be used to summon a fire demon via ritual magic. Simply putting it out won't stop it, I think I would have a way to stop it for a bit but not for long. The only way to stop it is if it was raining." I informed, with him nodding at that.
"They could end up hurting if not destroying the city if it comes to that." Robin informed, with me making my way outside my place. "You coming to help search for them?" He asked, with me shaking my head.
"No, I'm going to get an object. Raven knows where I am going, she's been there once. Have her call me if it comes down to the fire demon." I said, with him nodding.
"Where is this place?" He asked, with me rubbing the back of my head.
"In the woods, and only my magic can summon it, or someone stronger." I said, closing the line so that I could get a move on.
Later
Reaching the cabin, I walked inside and made my way over to the far back. Lifting a chest, I pulled out a cloth and used it to take out a knife. "Orgids Ice Spiker, I don't want to use this any time soon." I said as I turned to leave. Stepping out, the cabin sank into the earth once more, with me turning to look at it as it did, making sure that it did.
Hearing my communicator go off, I answered it. "Do you have what you need for the fire demon?" Robin asked, with me nodding. "Good, Raven, get our friend, he has a way to stop the fire demon!" He informed, with a black portal opening up behind me.
Rushing threw, I saw it making its way towards the city. "Focus on moving the trees out of the way!" I ordered as I took the knife in hand and aimed at the fire demon, with me freezing its feet first and making my way up to its head at a slow pace. As I did, with each second of holding the knife I felt colder and colder, even seeing my very breath in the air. Once it was stopped, I dropped the knife and looked at my blue hands for a bit.
"Raven, get him further down the mountain, Beast Boy, Starfire, take out the trees!" Robin ordered, with me taking the knife in the cloth and getting lifted up by Raven.
"What is the price for this one?" Raven asked, curious on the knife.
"I-it f-freezes the s-s-soul!" I said, with her frowning at that bit of information.
Getting set down, she turned and looked at me. "How many times can you use it without serious damage?" She asked, with me holding up two fingers as I created a fire circle around me to warm me up. "So, you have one more shot at it before you freeze from the inside out." She said, with me nodding. "Then you are the last line of defense, just in case it gets too close to the city." She said, with me nodding as she took off towards the fire demon to help get rid of the trees before it could spread the fire even further.
Seeing Cyborg put the fire demon out, I watched as it came back to life and Thunder and Lighting got into the fight. Beast boy took on Thunder alone while Lighting fought Starfire, leaving Raven and Cyborg to hold off the fire demon. Seeing Robin missing, I knew he was doing something important. Watching Raven put it out, it came to life once more and released a fiery explosion that pushed them away.
'Ok, that should be enough for another go!' I thought as it got closer to the city. Seeing the others join me, I froze it one more time, with Raven catching me as I fell to the ground, ice forming over my hands this time as I dopped the knife.
"You're done!" She said, with me nodding as she moved me out of the way, with us watching the fire demon break free bit by bit. "Cyborg, the fire hydrant!" She said, with him nodding while Beast Boy turned into an elephant and sprayed it down with him. "Starfire, watch over him!" She said, where she went to put out the fire demon while Starfire held me up.
Seeing it step into the fire circle, it hit a barrier, where it then screamed. "Only something below 99°F can step out of that circle, and you are well over that limit!" I said, smirking at it as it started to rain. 'About time those idiots started working with us.' I thought as I leaned on Starfire, too cold to do anything else, too tired.
Later
Opening my eyes, I felt really warm. I found myself in the medical wing, with me finding three heavy blankets covering me. One was my own, the other two were Ravens and Beast Boys. I knew Ravens because I was with her when she got it, and Beast Boys from the color. 'Whatever, I'm still cold.' I thought as I pulled all three over my head and went back to sleep.
