"Are you ready now, Dakota?" Chloe asked as I set up the camera, with me smirking at her impenitentness.

"Yeah, and again, sorry I was late, I had homework to catch up on." I said as I gave her a thumbs up, where she turned to face Lex.

"So, Mr. Luthor, are there any other secret construction projects going on at Luthor Corp other than Level Three?" She asked, with Let facing her.

"Please, call me Lex." He said, with me knowing that wasnt going to win Chloe over.

"Ok, Lex, you going to answer my question?" Chloe asked rudely.

I mouthed sorry to Lex, seeing as he was kind of my friend and didn't want to get dragged into this or kicked out. Before he could answer, someone walked in, clearing their throat. "Excuse me, Mr. Lex." The man said, with all of us looking at him, seeing that it was his bodyguard. "Your father is on the phone." He said, with Lex nodding his head.

"I'm sorry, but I have to take this." He said, standing up and leaving the room, with me turning the camera off, for now.

Once he was out of the room, Chloe stood up. "Think he is really taking a call, or is he just trying to avoid me?" Chloe said jokingly as I followed her over to the bookshelf.

"Honestly, he is, jokingly, he's hiding form you, afraid that he is going to let lose all of his dirty secrets!" I said as she crossed her arms.

"Wow, that is totally you." She said, pointing at a person on a vase, with me looking at it and then back at her, seeing that she was missing.

"Chloe?" I asked, going after her to make sure that she didn't get into any trouble.

Later

"Believe me, I want to explore this mansion as much as you, but I also don't want to get thrown out!" I said, with Chloe rolling her eyes with a smile as we walked backed into Lex's office. "I will start putting away the camera, it's obvious that he won't be able to talk today." I said, with Chloe going over to her bag.

"Ok then, I will go get my bag." She said just as I started taking it down, with me spotting some bags just on the ground, duffel bags and they looked full.

"Lex is being robbed, Chloe!" I called out, with me getting grabbed from behind in a chock hold. 'Shit, are there cameras?' I thought as another one grabbed me from behind while Chloe made a run for it. 'Details, I need details on them!' I thought, with me getting turned around and punched in the gut, with me gritting my teeth. I went to headbutt the one who held me, only I didn't make contact with them and went right through them.

Hearing glass break, I was kicked in the groin, making me lean forward in pain, even with my aura. "Let's move it!" One of them called out, with me holding my groin as I fell to the floor, with me seeing that they were wearing sports shoes as they ran.

Getting up, I made my way to the door. "Chloe?" I asked, with me looking at the window, seeing that it was broke. 'Oh god!' I thought as I ran over to it and looked outside, seeing Chloe on the ground. 'Three stories, she could be dead!?' I thought in panic. "CHLOE!?" I yelled as I jumped out, with me landing next to her, my aura taking the damage for me. "Chloe, come on, be alive!" I said as I picked her up and sat her in my lap and checked her pulse. 'I've got one!' I thought as I looked up at the window. "HELP, I NEED HELP!?" I called out, not wanting to leave her side in fear that she wouldn't make it.

Later

Sitting in the chair beside Chloes bed, I bit my thumb. I should have protected her, instead I was worried about my secret. This was my fault, and at the moment, there was no way to make up for it. I was going to find those robbers, and I was going to make them pay for what they did, secret or not.

"Dakota." I heard, with me looking up at Clark as he walked in. "How is she?" He asked, with me shaking my head as I looked back at Chloe.

"I told her I liked her." I said, with Clark walking over and crouching next to me." When Kyle made her kiss me, I told her I liked her, that I had for some time." I said, shaking my head. "I told her to think it over, now I don't know what to do about this!" I said as I jerked my head in her direction. "I could have protected her, but I focused on my secret more than her. I put her here, not them, me!" I said, standing up and making my way to the door.

"It's not your fault!" Clark said, with me turning to him as he stood up.

"Oh, really? Because the last time I checked I was a walking bad luck charm, ready to go off at any moment!" I nearly yelled, glaring at him.

"Clark is right." I heard, with me turning to see Lex walking in. "It's not your fault, and you aren't a bad luck charm. I'm sure even Clark would have been taken down." He said, with me shaking my head at his words. "Don't worry, I've brought in the best doctors from metropolis." He said, with me making a fist as he said that.

"Is she going to be alright?" Clark asked for me, knowing that I was ready to blow up and beat the shit out of someone.

"Doctors aren't sure. The fall was pretty bad, she broke her left arm and has a concussion. They want to make sure that there is no brain swelling." He said, with me going to hit the wall but stopped before I hit it, knowing that I would have caused a scene, I still hit it, but it was no more than a light punch.

"Do the police have any leads?" Clark asked as I calmed down a bit.

"They don't think I'm the first one that's been hit. There have been dozens of these robberies all around the county. This gang somehow gets in and out without busting a single lock. They even tried hitting the Smallville savings alone." He said, with me catching the "tried" part, as if they failed.

"Tried." I said, with Lex turning to me. "You said tried, so does that mean they failed?" I asked, with him nodding his head.

"Yes, somehow they set off an alarm on the inside, but they don't know how they got in or out without getting caught." Lex informed, with me looking at Clark as I remembered my head going through the one I had tried headbutting, meaning they could walk through walls.

"The stuff they stole from you, do you think they can trace it back to them?" Clark asked, with Lex turning back to him.

"I didn't report anything stolen." Lex said, before walking towards the door.

"Why not?" Clark asked in confusion.

"I'm not worried about it." He said, turning to face him. "I'm more focused on catching the ones responsible for what happened to Chloe." He said before leaving, with me nodding my head as I wanted them to pay as well.

"Clark." I said, with him looking at me. "Check the Smallville savings out for me, there might be a clue to who these guys are." I said, with him walking over to the door.

"You aren't coming?" He asked, with me looking at him, then Chloe.

"If I go, I might kill one of them." I said, with him frowning at that. "Oh, and one more thing." I said, looking at him as he started walking out. "I went to headbutt one of them, but my head passed through them, be careful, I think they can walk through walls." I said, with him nodding as he left, with me going back to the chair to sit down.

The next day

Feeling something hit my face, I jerked awake and looked at Chloe, with me seeing her smiling at me. "Hey, did you stay here last night?" She asked, with me picking a paper ball off the ground and tossing it into the trash.

"Sorry." I said as I rubbed my face.

"You shouldn't be sorry for falling asleep." She joked, with me shaking my head at her.

"No, I'm sorry." I said, with her shaking her head.

"It wasnt your fault." She said, with me looking at her.

"It is, I wanted to keep my secret hidden, and it cost you. With my semblance, it made it worse." I said, looking at my hands. "Bad Luck, you remember me telling you about that?" I asked, with her nodding.

"I remember, but your semblance had nothing to do with this!" She said, with me shaking my head as there was no arguing with this. I was responsible, she was in here because of me. "Everyone has bad luck, and this wasn't it. Bad luck, isn't an attack or anything like that, it's like slipping or hurting yourself doing a simple task!" She said, with me standing up.

"You getting hurt, hurt me!" I said as I placed a hand on my chest. "I... Seeing you get hurt, almost killed, scared me. Even if it wasn't me who did it, I had a part in it." I said while rubbing the back of my head. "Because I was there, you were hurt. If anyone else was there, they would of been able to get to you." I said, where I was hit in the face by another paper ball, with me staring at Chloe with an annoyed expression.

"Sorry, "bad luck" I suppose." She said, rolling her eyes. "You had nothing to do with it, I'm fine. Before you know it, I will be up and out of here catching those idiots." She said with a smile. "Now go get a police officer, I'm pretty sure I have to talk to them about what happened. I remember a green glowing tattoo." She said, with me knowing that the tattoos were what made them phase threw things.

The next day

Knocking on the door, I saw Clark, Pete and Chloe turn to me. "I brought Chinese?" I said, getting a smile from Chloe as I walked over and placed the bag down on a chair, with me taking out one of the containers and passing it over to Pete. "Clark, you weren't here so I got you the same thing as me." I said, holding one of them out to him.

"No, that's fine, I don't want to spoil my dinner. He said, with me nodding and passing it over to Chloe, with Pete taking the computer away from her.

"Better than jelly!" She said as she opened the box and smelled it. "Real food!" She said, with me passing Pete two chopsticks, with him passing one of them over to her, where we started digging in.

"I thought you weren't allowed to bring food in?" Clark asked, a small smirk on his face as they started eating, with me doing the same.

"What food?" I said, getting a laugh from him. "So, that tattoo, none of the Smallville tattoo artists recognize it, saying that they never did one like that, meaning that they could of gotten if before coming to Smallville, but unlikely. The reason I say that is because the maid at Lex's place said that she was sleeping with a guy who had the same tattoo and confirmed that he's local. Met him a couple times at a party, doesn't know his name." I informed, with Chloe smiling at that.

"Look at you, going all detective. How did you get her to talk?" She asked, with me shrugging.

"I overheard a phone call she had when I went back to see if I could find any clues." I said, with her nodding.

"So, underground tattoo shop using meteorite ink, it might be boosting up their metabolism so that they can phase threw stuff." She said, with me nodding as I thought the same thing as she mentioned the tattoo earlier.

"They also had on some sports shoes, so if you are heading there, check in with Whitney and see if he recognizes the tattoo, he's been over at his father's store for a while working over there." I said, with Clark nodding as I looked at him.

"Ok, I'll head over and do that." He said, with me taking a seat while her left.

"You look better." Chloe said, with me looking at her. "I guess what you needed was some investigating time to yourself." She said with a smile.

"Yeah, but that doesn't change anything." I said, with her nodding her head as I said that, knowing what I was talking about.

The next day

"Dakota!" I heard, with me turning to face Lana as she ran up to me.

"Lana, you here to visit Chloe?" I asked, with her stopping a few feet from me.

"No, you actually. Whitney got mixed up with the people who hurt her, and he's taking Clark to their hideout to put a stop to things!" She said, with me narrowing my eyes at that.

"Where?" I asked, ready to crack some skulls.

Later that day

Reaching the room, I kicked the door in, with it flying across the room. Walking in, I saw one guy standing over a hurt Clark. Making my way over to him, the guy couldn't help but shake in fear before running towards the wall, only he didn't go through it. He started smacking it, looking back at me as I got closer to him. "Clark, get Whitney!" I said, with him getting up with a pained expression and walking away, with me grabbing the guy and tossing him across the room, with him crashing into a pillar. "No holding back, you and you buddies are going to pay for what you did to her!" I said, grabbing his arm and pulling it, showing that it was fake.

"Come on man, it was an accident!" He said, with me smacking him with his prostatic, shattering it in the process.

"An accident that almost cost her life!" I yelled, grabbing his leg and pulling him over to the pull table. Picking him up, I slammed him into it, breaking it in half. "Any other day I would have gone easy on you, but after what you pulled, I'm going to make you suffer!" I said, pulling him closer, with me punching him in the face over and over again until he was a bloody mess. Letting him go, I cleaned my hand off on his shirt. "Go to hell." I said, with me leaving the room to find Clark, only to stop as I saw Lex walk in, looking at the door frame.

Seeing him look at me, he then looked at the guy on the ground. "Is he alive?" He asked, with me kicking his leg, getting a groan from him. "Guess that answers that." He said as he walked over to me. "Where's the other two?" He asked, with me shrugging.

"Don't know, I got here and Clark was down, bought him enough time to get out." I said, walking over to him. "Lana?" I asked, with him nodding.

"Yeah, she said once you stormed off, she felt fear like no other after she told you where to go. I guess she was right." He said, looking at the door frame again. "How did you do that?" He asked, with me smirking.

"I charged threw it, pushed this guy across the room, he ran over here, and I beat the shit out of him." I answered as I walked towards the door. "Come on, let's find the other two!" I said, with him calling the police.

Later

"-and that's what happened." Whitney told the police, with me sitting next to him on the hood of a crushed car.

"Ok, if we have any other questions, I will let you know." The officer said, walking over to another officer as the beat-up guy was put in the back of a car. He was going to need some stitches, but that was it.

"Thank you." Whitney said, with me looking at him. "If you didn't come, then Clark wouldn't have gotten to me in time." He said, with me nodding, looking at the car that was being lifted, showing the dead body of their leader.

"I didn't do it for you, and I didn't do it for Chloe either. I did it for myself, to make me feel better." I said, looking down at my hands. "It didn't, but at least he's behind bars now." I said, looking at the guy, with Lex walking over to them and speaking to them thew the window. "Be careful on who you make friends with, or something like this could happen." I said, getting up and taking my leave.

Later that day

Reaching Chloes room, I knocked on the door, with her looking up at me. "Hey, I expected you here earlier, what happened?" She asked as I walked in.

"Clark found them." I said, with her looking surprised. "I went to help, saved his life, in turn Whitney's as well." I said as I walked over to her bedside and took a seat. "Chloe... I want to try." I said, with her getting a confused expression on her face.

"Try what, baseball?" She joked, with me staring at her.

"Us, I want to try us." I said, looking down at my hands. "Dating." I said, knowing I was pushing her into an answer, even though I said I wouldn't.

"My dad wont approve." She said, with me nodding as she was right.

"I know, and you can say yes or no-"

"Then no." She said, interrupting me. "As long as we live together like this, it's a no for me." She said, with me nodding as I kind of saw that coming. "But if you were to get kicked out then I wouldn't mind saying yes." She said with a smile, one I returned.

"Then I guess I am just going to have to wait a bit more then." I said, taking her hand and kissing it. "I will see you later." I said, getting up and leaving as visiting hours were almost over.
