Disclaimer: I do not own the scene from the Lord of the Rings or the characters of the Land Before Time, only how the story goes. The characters of the Lord of the Rings are owned by Tolkien, Warner Bros and New Line Cinema and the characters of The Land Before Time belongs to Universal. The only thing that I do own are the OC's of the story. I apologize for any errors in grammar and/or if I was not accurate in reference to something.
A/N: It was about high time that I did my favorite scene from the Two Towers movie. This will go nicely with the other two that I've already done. Plus, Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Chomper's Speech to Littlefoot
The moment was bleak as the captured Littlefoot the brown Longneck, Chomper the purple Sharptooth and Gollum the grey Egg Stealer took cover. The prehistoric stone city on the river was being attacked by the dark forces of Sauron. But as the trio remained hidden while the dinosaurs of Gondor continued to fight, Littlefoot began to feel the pull of the Ring as the sounds of battle raged around them. The Longneck started to walk from his hiding spot, confusing both Chomper and Gollum. Chomper watched his friend walk and questioned, "What are you doing?"
But Littlefoot didn't seem to hear him as he continued to walk. A dark Flyer flapped about and unleashed a savage sounding squawk. Dinosaurs of all shapes and sizes ran around to help with the battle as the Longneck walked about, avoiding the soldiers altogether. Chomper moved to the opening and called after his friend, "Where are you going?"
Littlefoot soon came to the top of a rock wall. The dark Flyer suddenly flapped up next to the rock wall. Chomper rushed past all the soldiers to catch up with his friend. The Ring's power of Littlefoot was starting to take great effect as he started to lower his head to allow the Ring to slide off. A green Frilled Spitter named Frill saw what was happening. The dark Flyer squawked as it extended talons to take the Ring. But before anything disastrous could happen, Chomper was able to tackle into Littlefoot and they fell out of the way. It made the dark Flyer squawk in annoyance before getting hit with a black glob and it shrieked in pain before flying off.
Littlefoot and Chomper tumbled down the hill before falling down a steep drop. They landed at the bottom with Chomper on top. Littlefoot was able to roll them over to where he stood over Chomper and raised his right foot with a growl and had a mad look on his face. Chomper became very afraid that his friend would hurt him. But something seemed to make Littlefoot not to do it. A worried Chomper looked Littlefoot in the eye and asked, "It's me."
Littlefoot took a few deep breaths as he calmed down. Seeing that his friend was still a little lost Chomper said, "Your Chomper.
"Don't you know your Chomper?" The purple Sharptooth asked the conflicted Longneck. Littlefoot lowered his foot and stepped back from Chomper. Chomper took a breath of relief to see that his friend was starting to be himself again. Littlefoot sat against a rock wall and Chomper started to pick himself up. With a shake of his head, Littlefoot was even more lost when he said, "I can't do this, Chomper."
"I know." Chomper agreed, knowing the toll that the journey was taking on the both of them. Wishing that it didn't have to be them the purple Sharptooth said, "It's all wrong." His lip lightly trembled from all the badness that they had gone through, "By rights, we shouldn't even be here.
"But we are." Chomper said while looking about the ruins of the dinosaur made city. Gollum joined them in the spot as Chomper could see the dark Flyer still flying around. The purple Sharptooth thought about it as he said, "It's like in the great stories, Mr. Littlefoot.
"The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were." His words made Littlefoot think about all that they've been through and all that was going on in the world. Chomper began thinking about how their journey was just like those stories, "And sometimes you didn't want to know the end…" He thought about how it could get better, "Because how could the end be happy?"
The battle of the dinosaurs continued to wage around them even as Chomper went on, "How could the world go back to the way it was, when so much bad had happened?"
The sun poked out a little and a hopeful smile came across Chomper's face. He thought that it could get better when he said, "But in the end, it's only a passing thing…
"This shadow. Even darkness must pass." Hope grew in the purple Sharptooth's heart when he thought of good triumphing over evil, "A new day will come. And when the sun shines, it will shine out the clearer."
Chomper nodded as he thought how those stories went and how they were able to work out in the end, "Those were the stories that stayed with you that meant something.
"Even if you were too small to understand why." Chomper said with a small chuckle. But as he thought about it, Chomper did start to see what they were meaning, "But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand." He nodded, "I know now.
"Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back," He thought about how the stories went, and how they stood strong, "only they didn't. They kept going, because they were holding on to something."
"What are we holding on to, Chomper?" Littlefoot asked, feeling the immense wait and burden of the quest on him. Chomper looked to his friend before helping him to his feet. Even Gollum was curious to know what thing they were holding on to. When his was on own two feet again, Littlefoot looked to Chomper as the purple Sharptooth said, "That there's some good in this world, Mr. Littlefoot." He nodded when he believed, "And it's worth fighting for."
Littlefoot could see and feel the truth in Chomper's words and believed them.

Author's Note: I thought this was the best scene from the Two Towers movie and I really wanted to do it. I do plan to do the others since I didn't have anything at the time. And like I thought, this really was a good Thanksgiving gift to you readers. I look forward to reading your reviews. Be sure to leave a comment either about if I've done something wrong or if you want something specifically to happen. See you next time.
