Author's Note: Hello everyone, here we are with the next chapter. I hope you all enjoy it. Please read and review generously. I thank all those who have followed the story, who have favorite the story, and who have taken time out of their busy lives to read and review, it all helps.

I listened to a lot of review and PM's. I went back to the last chapter, and edited out the sexual stuff and changed the ending. I believe you will all love that. I have to admit, I moved way too fast. I am going to flesh things out more, before they fall into bed for real. Anyways, I hope you enjoy this chapter. Without further ado, let us begin.

Chapter Eleven- Childhood

The rays of the sun filtered through the large cabin, as the sounds of birds woke a sleeping Lena Luthor from her slumber. It has been a long time since she had a good night sleep, and for the first time in a decade, she slept so peacefully. She observed the man she grew to care for sleeping in his arms, and noted his peaceful expression, it made him so handsome to her.

Uzumaki Naruto was sleeping so peacefully in her arms with no nightmares and no complaints. She was filled with pride that she could evoke such an expression from him. She ruffled his hair, and kissed his forehead as she observed him. Despite wearing some cute frog pajamas, she could clearly see how muscular he was. She was so tempted to tear off his clothes and explore every inch of his body, to make his body shiver underneath her. However, they had time for that, and she would never take advantage of him.

Their talk had revealed many things, but she desired to learn more about him. She wished she could learn more about the woman who captured his heart, but she also knew that it was a sore subject and something he would not be comfortable in speaking to her about. It filled her with a little jealousy, but she understood that this was not the time for this.

However, she hoped she could learn more about his childhood, and what he had to sacrifice to get to the path he was on. It was ludicrous, but she had fallen so hard for him, and she was sure that he felt the same way about her.

He stirred gently in her arms, as he opened his eyes and gave her a megawatt smile which made her give him a deep kiss. It was soft, sweet, and gentle, as they wrapped their arms around each other, lost in a simple pleasure. However, even Lena knew they could not spend the rest of the day in bed. There were other things to take care of.

Lena softly broke the kiss, as she massaged his hair and joined her forehead with his. "Good morning, fishcake."

Naruto sputtered. "Fishcake? I will have you know that my name means Maelstrom."

Lena laughed."It also means fishcake."

Naruto grumbled, as she kissed him again. She bit on his lip gently, as their tongues dueled softly, and then she broke the kiss again.

"Relax. I am just teasing you. Tell me, how did you sleep?"

Naruto smiled. "I slept really well. I am so happy for that. I have not slept so well in a long time, and I have to thank you for that."

Lena smiled and gave him a cheeky response. "Of course you did. Your head was between my breasts all night. I thought you were planning to do something with them, I was wondering what it would be."

Naruto shook his head, as Lena laughed again.

"Ahh, I have never laughed like this in a long time. And, as much I would love to spend the rest of the day here in bed with you bantering, the day calls us. And, you need a shower."

At this moment, Lena's stomach grumbled quite loudly, and she blushed which made Naruto laugh out loud.

"Yes, and you need breakfast. Well, let's get the day started."

Lena and Naruto had separately showered, as Naruto had made her a hearty breakfast of eggs, quality bacon that he had personally cured, and a side of fruit that she happily ate.

As for Naruto, he had been busy exercising, and enjoying the routine of staying disciplined and fit. Lena was thankful for the fact that he had chosen to stay shirtless, as she enjoyed the way his muscles moved, and the sweat coming off his body. She bit her lip, as she could not help it. This act of exercising, she was following like a striptease that Naruto was performing that was turning her on.

Naruto noticed her staring at him so intently, and he smirked as she caught herself. She blushed, as she noticed that he caught her. She sputtered a bit, before speaking.

"What? I am a healthy female who can appreciate the finer things in life, and that includes you. Do you dislike that?"

"No, not really, I just feel that you want to look at more than my upper body."

It was as if steam was coming out of her ears. "Anyways, You haven't eaten breakfast. Pull up a chair."

"Sure, I will join you for breakfast. First, comes stretching."

Lena groaned as she saw him stretch, she was feeling hot under the collar again. Finally, he decided to spare her as he joined her for breakfast. They both ate in silence, enjoying each other's company. Lena loved Naruto's cooking; it had such a homely feeling to it. Once they polished off the last bites, Naruto cleaned and put away the dishes, as Naruto sat down with her. Evidently, they had much more to talk about.

Naruto cleared his throat. "What else do you want to know about my life?"

Lena sighed. "I know, you cannot tell me everything about your past, and I hope one day you can. However, I would really love to know about your childhood, if you feel comfortable in doing so."

"You are so nosy, but I can indulge in this request for you."

"I grew up alone in the world. My mother and father, were great warriors, and even better human beings. They sacrificed their lives for me, fighting off a man who caused a great deal of harm to the world. That man they fought, brainwashed a powerful creature, and used it to wreak havoc. My father had to seal it inside of me to protect my home."

"My father's last wish was that I be seen as a hero. Instead, I was treated like the village pariah, and treated with disdain and scorn, all for existing. The people who should have been there for me, were not, as they were leading fucked up lives too. It has not been easy for me. However, things were not all that bad."

"I had made friends of my own, and grew to value and appreciate the meaning of family and bonds. And a very important friend taught me something, that I still hold true in my heart. My friend taught me that if you have something to protect, you will have the power and strength to do anything. Those words have driven me to keep forging my path, and stay true to my path and my way of doing things in life. It's why I will never go back on my word, it is all I have."

"That for now, is all I want to share with you about my life."

Lena was left in contemplation. "You have something to protect, huh?"

Lena thought about this beautiful, and noble sentiment. She too had people to care for; her daughter Hope and the man sitting in front of her. She gave Naruto a soft expression in which her eyes reflected admiration for the fact that instead of giving into revenge, he chose to persevere and earn the respect of his people. It filled her with care for the man, and dare she say, love. It was reflected in her eyes, as they could stare deep into his soul, which kind of unnerved him."

"That will be enough, for now. You continue to impress me Uzumaki Naruto. Just when I think I can't care for you any less, my feelings for you continue to grow. Now, I have something to share with you."

Lena closed her eyes as Naruto patiently waited.

"I…, am the bastard child, the Black Sheep of my family. I am the product of an affair that my father had with my mother. When my father learned about me, he insisted on bringing me home, which infuriated my stepmother, Lillian. I understood why. I was the symbol that told her that my father never truly loved her."

"Lillian did her best to make my life and my mother's a living hell. My mother was kept in another house, but close by, while I was under the watchful eye of Lillian Luthor. The only time she ever smiled at me was when I cruelly humiliated a woman who almost committed suicide; I hated myself for that act, and Lillian praised me for it."

"However, in that home, there was my brother Lex. He was condescending, sometimes cruel, and downright narcisstic, but he loved me very much. He was the only one who praised my work and protected me from the wrath of my stepmother."

"However, one day, my brother changed, became something I did not recognize. He and Clark Kent were such great friends. And then all of a sudden, that friendship ended. I had noticed my brother go increasingly paranoid, developing such hate for things non-human. My brother was plotting something in the shadows, something that would have cost a lot of people of their lives. Perhaps, Clark Kent exposed what he was going to do."

"And then, the Incident…, and I lost my ability to have children, and my mother. I can never forget that day, I never will. And I want you to know, that I don't blame you for that day. It was beyond your control. And I am so sorry for what you lost."

Lena held Naruto's hand gently, as he nodded to her.

Neither of them realized but the day was passing by, and soon enough, it would be night. Naruto had made her a delicious dinner, as they both sat and enjoyed each other's company. When it was time for bed, as Naruto went to his room, Lena gently grabbed his hand.

"I am sorry…, for being so nosy."

Naruto looked at her softly. "No, curiosity is not a sin. I get that. I understand why you want to know so much about me. We both have fallen for one another, and we make a special pair. We both have suffered, yet we choose to endure and persevere, and do not seek revenge, but rather understanding. I am proud to have feelings for someone like you, and I am honored that you have feelings for me as well."

"You have been suffering for so long in your life, we both need each other, and we both need to help each other. Tonight, its my turn to help you. I did have someone I loved. I can never forget that person. However, I will give this, whatever we have here a chance to flourish."

Lena was touched, as Naruto captured her lone tear, and gave her a deep kiss. It was soft and pleasant, as Lena was lost in the kiss. Naruto gently broke it, as he eased her to their bed, and wrapped his arms and legs around her. She buried herself in the crook of his neck.

"You know, you said you can't get pregnant. Soon enough, I am putting that to the test. When we are ready to confess our love for one another, we are going to see how true those words are, and I cannot wait to explore every inch."

Lena blushed hard, as she kissed him deeply.

"And I too cannot wait for that day."
