Epilogue
The Gotengo was setting off for Castle Bravo to retire for now. She had gone through a lot today, and now that night was falling, it was time to settle down.
On the bridge, Jon Hudson watched the world pass by while Kashiwagi read a book and Stanton played a game. Barnes was probably talking to Admiral Stenz in the barracks.
An alarm caught Rick's attention, causing him to groan as he traded his game for the communications tab.
"Dr. Brody is requesting to talk to you," he said. "He says it's urgent."
"Patch him through," Jon said, turning to the display monitor. The face of the young aspiring geneticist looked back at him.
"Hello, Marcus. What's the matter?"
"Satellites have detected radiation on the East Coast that's consistent with three aquatic Titans," Brody explained. "They will be in Cape Cod by tomorrow afternoon."
"The state government is having a whale watching event then," Stanton added.
"We'll be on our way once we fuel up and recuperate," Jon stated.
"When you're done, we would like your help here. Dr. Ling has found that Mothra's eggs are changing color."
Next to his face was a spectograph displaying the change in color that the eggs were going through. Mothra's wavelength was growing wider, while Battra's was getting narrower.
"We'll be on our way."
