Boreal Forest, Russia

Ran the puffin Titan flew down to the ground to search for her adoptive father. After Ghidorah's call, all the Titans had awoken. Hopefully, Boreas was one of them.

She called out for the living Russian winter, her painted beak opening to release loud cawing sounds. She didn't know if she managed to catch Boreas' attention, but she certainly caught someone's attention.

The trees parted as a pair of massive, vine-covered antlers rose from the treeline. It was followed by a reptilian head, covered in greenish-brown, shaggy fur. It's green eyes glared at Ran and it's sharp teeth peeked out from behind it's lips.

It was Amhuluk, the Forest Dragon of Disease.

Ran could not fight Amhuluk on her own. She needed help, and she called for it by unleashing a screech that hurt Amhuluk's ears and only served to piss him off.

The antlered dragon bellowed before charging at Ran, his antlers lowered to gore her if she didn't dodge. Thankfully, Boreas taught her well and she flew upwards quickly.

She circled over the Forest Dragon and cawed loudly to call Boreas to her location. Amhuluk was aware of what she was doing, and unleashed a torrent of deadly stomach acid at her. Not only was the vomit highly acidic, it was a breeding ground for detrivoric bacteria, which could eat up Ran's feathers easily.

Ran flapped her wings frantically to escape the stomach acid, but she failed to notice the patch of tall trees in her way.

The trees tore her out of the sky, and she fell hard. Amhuluk grinned in his victory, but it quickly turned to fear as a cold, heavy fog rolled in.

The snow began to fall hard and fast, blanketing the ground in six inches of snow within a minute. In this weather, Amhuluk's detrivoric bacteria would die if they were exposed, and the ecosystem n his fur would suffer without proper insulation.

Amhuluk was about to leave, when a loud screech echoed from the densest part of the fog. The form of a great horned owl appeared in the mist, and it dove at the Dragon with it's talons stretched out at him.

Boreas tore at the fur on Amhuluk's back before circling back around. The Forest Dragon roared in anger before making an attempt to swipe at the enormous owl with one of his massive forelimbs, but Boreas unleashed a stream of deadly mist that froze Amhuluk's fur solid.

Amhuluk groaned as he looked at his frozen arm fur. The bacteria was now dead, and the ecosystem was dying. He needed to leave. Fast.

Boreas was not one for going halfway, however.

The owl dove in and pulled at Amhuluk's antlers. The Dragon tried to shake him off, but Boreas just held on tight and pulled his opponent into a grove of trees.

Amhuluk fell into the grove hard and could barely get up from the cold freezing his fur. Boreas landed down next to Ran and nuzzled her beak, making sure she was OK. When he was contented, the two flew off to find a better place to settle.

But Boreas' rivalry with Amhuluk was not yet over.
