I`m doing something different here. No smut in this story. It follows another theme I enjoy that is completely different from what I`ve written and that is an emotionally broken protagonist who had been forced to deal with great trauma in their life and must now try and cope with it. I don`t know how many chapters I`m gonna make. I feel like I need to explain the timeline for context too. The ultimate enemy does not happen till much later and Phantom Planet never happens but this takes place after D-Stabilized.
Dani Phantom was currently making her way through the ghost zone with a bag of fast food in hand. "Hey Dani!" She heard a friendly and familiar voice. She stopped and turned in the direction of the newcomer. "Oh Hi Kitty." It was the green haired girlfriend of Johnny. "Whatcha up to sweetie?" She asked sweetly. "I was just getting some food for Danny." Kitty frowned at the mention of the halfa. "Danny huh. Is he doing any better lately?" Now it was Dani`s turn to frown at the question. "No... he never even leaves the house anymore. He just sits in the recliner and watches TV with a beer in hand half of the time and he`s either drunk or passed out from drinking most of the time." Dani was on the verge of tears as she spoke.
Overcome with sympathy and sadness at seeing the adorable cousin of the former hero of amity park so sad she wraps her in a hug. "I know it`s been hard for you both since the... incident. But these things take time." Now Dani really was crying. "It`s been one year. I haven`t seen my cousin smile or laugh in one year. I miss my old Danny. The Danny who cared for others and would do anything to help. The Danny who`s smile radiated joy and brought the same to others. The Danny who never gave up no matter the odds." After a minute of venting her sadness, she had calmed down to a few light sniffles. "L-look, I appreciate what your trying to do. But I gotta get back to him now before the food gets cold." Danni decided it was time to go. She briefly hugged Kitty before heading off.
Ectogon Valley. A not too fairly sized trailer park residing in the ghost zone and home to some of it`s residents. Danni flew down and over to her and Danny`s home, Lot 38. She opened the door and headed inside. The place was dark and relatively small but it held all the amenities they needed. The bedrooms of the the two halfa`s were on opposing side of the house and between was the living room/kitchen. The living room had a couch that could fold out into a bed, good for guests or if Danny ever gets sick of sleeping in that recliner. A wooden table littered with comic books and a few humpty dumpty album covers. And across from the couch was a TV stand holding a small flat screen on top and radio on bottom. There was a lamp next to the couch with a little stand on it containing random junk like lighters and trading cards but no one ever used the lamp itself. The place held a gloomy and depressing atmosphere to it, but Dani couldn`t care less about that. Her only concern was her cousin. He was the reason she lived here along side of him, always taking care of him, tending to some of his needs should he request it, and most of all always trying to cheer him up.
Dani walked down the hall. "Danny I got some Nasty Burger. Your favorite." She called out as she entered his room. The TV was on. And Danny was right where she thought he`d be. Danny slowly turned toward her. "Oh hey, you got dinner." He grabbed the bag and took out a burger. "So I was thinking maybe we can go to the human world and" Dani spoke before being cut off by her cousin. "I told you I never wanna go back. The ghost zone is my home now." He spoke adamantly. "But Danny." She whined. "But nothing, all of the humans hate me... and I hate them right back. They blame me for my family`s death. Our family`s death. They blame me for the actions of my future self. How could you expect me to go back there?" Danny questioned. 'I just wanted to see some dolphins with you, no humans involved. But it seems you want nothing to do with the human world entirely.' She thought in sadness. Slowly looking up at her cousin. "Your right it was a silly thought. Let`s forget about it. Goodnight Danny." Dani left the room promptly leaving a slightly more bitter Danny. "Humans." He clenched his fist in bitter anger as he recalled the day his life went down the toilet.
One year ago
Danny was beaten badly. He stood up panting in exhaustion. Cuts and bruises adorned his body as his suit was damaged. "I told you I`m inevitable. You can`t stop this." A larger ghost stood before the beaten halfa. With blue skin, red eyes, and white flaming hair. It was his future self Dark Danny. "I will stop you!" Danny charged forward only to be kicked in gut and forced back. "Y`know kid I was wondering. Why should I stop at just letting your family and friends die in an explosion. Sounds a little too boring." Dark Danny spoke with an evil grin before blasting Danny with a ghost ray that would keep him down but not unconscious.
"Now let`s get started. Dark Danny turned his attention towards the nasty burger and more specifically on Jazz. He grabbed her and pulled her over to Danny`s field of vision. "No! Please don`t hurt her!" Danny panicked which caused sadistic glee to well up in his future self. "Oh, I`m gonna do worse than hurt her." He formed a blade out of ectoenergy and slowly raised it up. "Danny look at me! Everything`s gonna be okay." Jazz said trying to keep Danny calm and reassure him. Not another word came as Dark Danny impaled the girl right through the chest. "NOOOOOOOOOO!" Danny screamed at the top of his lungs while his future self held a cold expression and went to grab Sam next.
Danny looked up and saw who he was holding. "IS THIS NOT ENOUGH FOR YOU! IS KILLING MY SISTER NOT ENOUGH FOR YOU!" He shouted in rage. Dark Danny looked at him with a blank expression. "No." He spoke coldly before slicing Sam`s head in half causing the boy further grief. Danny was now shaking in anger, pain no long mattered to him he just wanted to beat this bastard into a bloody pulp. He struggled to get up only to be blasted back down by another ghost ray. " Nah ah ah, We`ve still got four to go." Wagging his finger tauntingly with a cocky grin.
Next he grabbed Maddie who was more than livid at the death of her daughter. "You son of a bitch! How dare you kill my daughter!" She glared daggers at her ice cold 24 year son from the future but he was unfazed. "It`s all just according to plan." He threw her to the ground right next to Danny and fired at a lethal ghost ray which incinerated her only a couple feet away from the halfa. His rage turned to seething anger as he growled with teeth gritted which only caused the murderer to smirk in amusement before grabbing Tucker.
The techno geek was beyond terrified. Shaking in utter fear after seeing what just happened to Jazz, Maddie, and Sam. Dark Danny threw him into the air and Danny`s eyes followed. Focused on his friend the anger was somewhat replaced with concern, but it was still there. "Tucker." He muttered sadly as he tried to get up to save him. "DANNY! HELP!" He screamed in terror while still in the air, as his body started to fall down to Earth, Dark Danny fired off some ectodiscs slicing Tucker like a loaf of bread and his remains splattered down to Earth, some of his blood splashing onto Danny`s face. "Damn You!" He spoke venomously.
Next he let Lancer free but rather than outright kill him he spoke. "Start Running." Terrified just like Tucker, the bald teacher did just that. Running past Danny for his life only to have his head explode into a bloody mess as Dark Danny fired a laser from his finger. Danny looked at the remains of his teacher with a mix of despair and anger. "Lancer. I`m sorry. Your dead because of me, all because I cheated on that stupid test!" He clenched his fists in regret and anger.
"Just one left." Dark Danny said as he grabbed Jack and threw him several feat away. The man in the orange suit jumped up. "YOU MONSTER! NOBODY WASTES JACK FENTONS FAMILY AND LIVES TO TELL THE TALE!" Jack screamed in rage as he pulled out a blaster unloading everything at Dark Danny. The ghost merely pulled up a shield and waited for Jack to expend all his ammo and once he did the ghost made his move. At speeds the eye can`t see he appeared in front of Jack. He reformed his ectoblade and stabbed Jack through the chest causing the man to cough up blood. "DAD! NOOOO!" Jack fell to the ground about 9 feet away from his son. He looked up at his boy wiping away the blood from his mouth. "Danny... I`m proud of you son... I... always... will... be." Jack used the last of his dying breath as Danny looked on in horror. Dark Danny looked down at the man and stabbed him again repetitively. "No Stop it! Stop it! Stop it! Stop it!" Danny pleaded with tears now streaming down his face but Dark Danny didn`t listen. He kept stabbing as a sadistic smile graced his face. But he was not paying attention to Danny as the boy struggled again to get up, this time succeeding. "I... said... STOP IT!" Danny screamed as the ghost finally looked up only to be sent flying by an attack all too familiar to him.
"Impossible. I didn`t learn that move till ten years from now." He panicked slightly but had no time to remain confused as Danny charged at him fueled with unbridled rage. "YOUR GONNA PAY FOR EVERYTHING YOU HAVE DONE!" Danny screamed as he tackled the ghost sending him into a wall. Dark Danny recovered and charged forward but Danny fired a ghost ray more powerful than any before it and sent his future self right down slamming into the city. Danny grabbed a rebar and filled it with ectoenergy and plunged it into Dark Danny`s thigh causing the ghost to yell in anger and pain. Danny then fired another blast sending the ghost back a ways. "You insolent pest!" Dark Danny pulled the rebar out of his leg and threw it to the side. Now agitated he charged at Danny attacking with a barrage of punches, but unfortunately for Dark Danny his injuries began to slow him down enough that the halfa dodged before stopping the barrage with a strong punch to the gut. "I told you already. Your going to pay for what you did." Danny punched him across the face over and over gaining more ground each time before finally uppercutting him sending him to the ground. Standing over the ghost with the thermos in hand and a cold scowl on his face Danny looked down on his future self with nothing but hatred and contempt. Dark Danny chuckled as if he still won. "You see kid. Your already becoming just. like. me." The halfa looked at him for moment before speaking. "I`m nothing like you." He sucked the ghost into the Fenton thermos.
Out of seemingly nowhere many citizens came out from the rubble and so did an unwelcome sight, the mayor of amity park. Vlad Masters. Danny turned his attention towards his arch enemy. Vlad pointed an accusing finger towards the boy. "You! Your responsible for all of this. You let that evil ghost run amuck when you could have stopped him at any time!" Vlad accused. All around them the citizens looked lost. "Phantom let all this happen?" A random citizen said causing a murmuring of questions amongst everyone. "Don`t you see people, he was in cahoots with that ghost in order to destroy our town. And once the ghost caused enough destruction, then he would conveniently swoop in to save the day making himself look like a hero!" Vlad explained. The citizens seemed to believe him as their confusion turned to anger and they started throwing stones at him. "Get out of here Phantom!" One citizen yelled. "Nobody want`s you here!" Another yelled. "Your no hero! Your a psycho!" Danny felt his rage accumulating until he finally snapped. "ENOUGH!" His shout was loud enough to force a dead silence amongst them all. "YOU WANT ME GONE?! FINE!" He flew off, not caring where he went so long as he got away from amity park.
Back to the current time
A single tear fell down his cheek as he finished reminiscing. "Why can`t I just forget?" He slowly and dejectedly got up and grabbed a case of alcohol, returning to his recliner he plopped down on it and opened a bottle, preparing for another miserable night of drinking himself to sleep in his chair.
So here`s the end of the story. The reason I put in the deaths was to explain why Danny is so miserable. Anyways I don`t quite know where I`m gonna take this story.
