She was there during that day. She was there when Trost almost fell, when the Female Titan harvested the lives of the Scout Regiment, and when Stohess became a battleground. She was there when Urtgard Castle fell. And now, she's back to where it all began for both her and humanity: Shiganshina. Little did she know, her presence would change everything.

1. Chapter 0: Introduction

-INTRODUCTION-

An unofficial continuation of the videogame 'Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle', "Our Friend" follows the homonymous main character as they survive the events of the game's Story Mode and live on through the Return to Shiganshina arc.

Although the events of the game aren't exactly canon and the main character themselves is completely up to the player, i believe a lot of potential could be reached with their presence. During the game, the MC (often referred to as "our friend" by other characters) is both an observer and a wild card. They were present during every major event from the Fall of Shiganshina until Urtgard Castle and, in the game's canon, presumably died saving Eren and a crystallized Annie after an attack lead by the Beast Titan attempted to retrieve both of them.

In the events of this story, our protagonist is a talented soldier named Laure Garnier. Proving herself during the Battle of Trost District, she was the first cadet to officially become a scout alongside Eren Yeager. During the aforementioned attempt to rescue Annie and capture Eren, Laure barely survived the events that occurred, but not before once again proving herself to be one of humanity's greatest assets. Such an asset would be needed not only during the military coup, but also during the Scout Regiment's attempt to retake Wall Maria and reach Grisha Yeager's basement in Shiganshina.

I've been anonymously writing on the internet for the past 11 years. This is my first actual attempt at writing something more substantial. I've been in love with Attack on Titan ever since i first experienced it blind earlier this year (2021), and i hope my love will result in an interesting story.
