Ch 1

Harry POV

Despite it being a cool and sunny day, i couldn't help but clench my broomstick as tight as i could. If the dementors decided to come knocking, i'd be ready.

The snitch appeared before my eyes and i chased after it in a duel against Cho Chang. For the moment, all i can think about is grabbing the snitch and winning another game.

"Harry!" Cho shouts, pointing behind us. Looking behind, i saw at least five dementors on our tail.

"Split up!" I shouted to my fellow seeker. We parted away from the snitch, and i turned to see the dementors. They were now heading towards me, ignoring everyone else.

"I should have asked Lupin about the range of patronum's. No time like the present." I growled, pulling out my wand and raced towards the dementors. I could hear the students and staff gasping as i raced towards my foe.

"Just a little bit more." I muttered to myself. Upon getting close enough, i pulled out my wand and yelled the spell for summoning a patronus.

"Expecto patronum!" a flash of light appeared from my wand, and i frantically aimed it at the dementors while flying wickedly fast on my firebolt.

With the dementors out of the game, i looked for the snitch, seeing it near the goal posts. I raced towards the snitch and grabbed it. Though we are victorious, i could only be on the lookout for more dementors.

"Harry!" i hear. I turn around, aiming my wand at Fred, who could only raise his hands up in mock surrender.

"Nice one, mate. Better get down there." the Weasley twin says.

Touching down on the ground, I ran into my DADA teacher, who can only smile at me.

"Well done, Harry." he said.

"Thanks professor. I took on the dementors and won. I wasn't even affected by them." i happily exclaimed.

I watched as Lupin couldn't help but laugh.

"That's because they weren't dementors. Take a look." he said.

I run towards the scene of the crime. Instead of dementors, i only saw Draco and his cronies. To my satisfaction, they were stunned and shocked.

"50 points from Slytherin!" McGonagall shouted running onto the field. I turned and watched as my head of house furiously berated the stunned Slytherin students. When she was done berating them, she then turned to me. And her attitude went from anger to happy and caring in the blink of an eye. It was rather unnerving.

"Harry, that was amazing. How long were you able to produce a patronus?" Minerva asked.

"Just barely. Lupin's been teaching me in secret." I said.

"Did you win?" Minerva asked.

I could only give my professor a deer in the headlights look before i responded by opening my hand, revealing the snitch. Minerva squealed in happiness and pulled me into a bone crushing hug.

"Harry, would you mind taking me for a ride on your firebolt?" Minerva asked.

"Sure thing, professor." I answered.

Draco POV

Having gathered my cronies, we donned large black hoods and gathered our broomsticks. I could only smirk as we ascended. Potter would be scared shitless by seeing the dementors, who were actually us.

"Potter." i snarled, seeing him approach us. Why isn't he running? Why is he getting closer and closer? Wait. Is that a wand?

My vision is blinded by a bright light. Unable to see, i was then tossed onto the ground, as a broomstick flew above me. What the hell had happened? And what kind of spell did Potter use?

"50 points from Slytherin!" i heard McGonagall shout, running towards us. As much as i wanted to protest, i could feel myself shaking in shock.

"My father will hear of this." I snarled to Potter as me and my friends were led away from the field.

Minerva POV

My eyes were on Potter for several reasons. Ever since he started playing quidditch, Gryffinder had been on a roll, especially against Slytherin. It was almost as if the team had decided that the matches against Slytherin mattered the most, and playing Huffulepuff and Ravenclaw were just warm-ups.

Another reason was the dementors. Despite a dozen players on the field and hundreds of spectators in the stands, the dementors focused on him. Last time Dumbledore saved him, but i worried that Harry's luck may run out if the dementors attacked again.

"No." I whispered aloud, seeing 5 dementors fly into the arena. The bastards once again set their sights on him. Quidditch players broke away, not wanting to attract the attention of a dementor for good reason.

"What's he doing?!" a student shouted, pointing at Harry. I watched as Harry suicidally charged against the dementors, pulling out his wand. As far as i was knew, Harry was a dead man flying. He knew nothing about stopping dementors and…

"Expecto Patronum!"

Now i was truly confused. Where in Merlin's saggy skin did Harry find the time to learn patronum's? Yet i was also proud of him as he tore thru the dementors like a flaming sword thru butter.

"Potter has knocked out the dementors and has grabbed the snitch! Gryffindor wins!" Lee Jordan shouted.

I shouted in joy with my Gryffindor students, only for something else to grab my attention.

"Professor, they're not dementors!"

I looked closer, seeing Draco and his cronies struggling to get up. I gritted my teeth in anger. Everyone had been warned about the dementors, and since they attacked during a quidditch match, nerves were even more frayed! The nerve!

"50 points from Slytherin! Of all the stunts you had to pull, Malfoy! This is the most foolish! Potter could have killed you in self-defense!" I shouted. I watched as the Slytherin students walked away, hearing Draco mutter under his breath how his father would hear about it. I doubt Lucious would help him this time.

I turned around, seeing Harry approach me holding his Firebolt. I was tempted to ask him if i could borrow it.

"Harry, that was amazing. How long were you able to produce a patronus?" i asked; patronus's were very hard to master. And Harry just produced one in front of my own eyes! Being attacked by dementors will force someone to put all their effort into learning how to fight the bastards.

"Just barely. Lupin's been teaching me in secret." Harry said.

"Did you win?" i asked.

Harry gave me a deer in the headlights look, as muggles like to say. I couldn't blame him. He thought he was fighting real dementors and had to focus on survival first, the game second.

Harry opened his other hand, previously clenched in a fist. I saw the golden snitch fly away from Harry. I pulled him into a bone crushing hug, not caring if anyone noticed.

"Harry, would you mind taking me for a ride on your firebolt?" i asked.

"Sure thing, professor." Harry answered.
