9:00 PM
Sam and Ollie quickly got into Sam's car and headed to the factory and donned their superhero gear. Ollie also made some more Pikbots since he used all of his during the Peachette fight. After, they drove to main street. The street lights that stood tall along different points on the street provided a bright light throughout the street. The street was near quiet as not many cars were passing by. Sam parked her car alongside the street next to the Able Sisters' shop. Once her car was parked, she used the grapple on her cannon and pulled herself onto the rooftop of the shop. She then grappled Ollie up. The two heroes then began to relax but were on high alert in case any of those green blobs showed up. The two decided to take shifts to ease up on the workload.
10:30 PM
Nothing. Nothing passed by and now main street was dead quiet. Sam was sitting down leaning her head onto her hand. She yawned and turned off her suit. Ollie was next to her lying down on his back with his arm behind his head. He also yawned as he took off his mask.
"This sucks." Ollie stated firmly.
"I don't get it. How do Brittany and Charlie constantly see these?" Sam questioned.
"Maybe we're looking in the wrong parts of the city." suggested Ollie.
"Where do Charlie and Brittany live?" asked Sam.
"Charlie lives in the northwest part of New Donk. Brittany lives southeast."
"Well maybe we should go over to the northwest side." Sam suggested. Ollie quickly got up.
"We are not going over to the northwest!" he quickly exclaimed, "That's where the gang violence is. And we are not prepared to handle any dangers over there."
"Well, I am." Sam jokingly replied. Ollie rolled his eyes. Suddenly, the two heard a conversation being held. The two got down and peaked over the side of the building. It was three shy guys (yellow, green and red) walking on the sidewalk with crowbars in their hands and AK's strapped to their back. They all stood to be the same height. Red was the skinniest out of the three. Green seemed to be a girl and Yellow had the most muscle but it wasn't toned. The three of them stopped in front of the main street general store. Red used their crowbar to break open the door and the three walked in.
"Shy guys." Sam whispered.
"They're bold to be breaking and entering at an early time." Ollie whispered back, "What do we do?"
"We go down there and stop them of course." Sam said quietly. She stood up and hit the button on her suit and the nanobots formed the suit. Ollie scrambled to get up and pulled over his mask.
"But how exactly?" Ollie went on to question.
"How many pikbots you got?" Sam asked. Ollie looked in his backpack and counted.
"I've got fifteen." he replied.
"You're only gonna need three." Sam reassured. She got down for Ollie to get on her back. Ollie did so and then Sam jumped off the building and landed on her feet on the street. Ollie got off of Sam's back and the two snuck across the street to the general store. They got on each side of the double doors. "I'll distract them. You throw pikbots strategically and when I give the word, zap them. I'll then clean up the dirty work." Sam explained quietly.
"Does your gun have a stun feature?" Ollie questioned quietly.
"I'll use my ice beam." Sam rebutled. Ollie nodded. He carefully opened the door and snuck in. Sam took a deep breath and walked in and posed with both arms at her hips.
"Man, whoever the owner of this store is, they're not making much money," said Red. They were counting the dollar bills in their hands behind the register stand. Yellow and Green just watched and were in awe.
"Excuse me!" Sam exclaimed. The shy guys stopped counting and looked at Sam who looked really heroic and threatening. The street lights outside caused a shadow so they couldn't see Sam properly; only her green vizor.
"Oh shit! It's that iron man!" Green panicked.
"Put the cash down before someone gets hurt." Sam instructed in a booming voice.
"Not a chance, Iron man." Red said, pulling out his AK and aiming it at Sam. Yellow and Green did the same. Sam flicked her arm and her cannon formed; she aimed it at the three shy guys.
"Whoa! That's a crazy arm cannon!" Yellow exclaimed.
"Too crazy, where'd you get that thing?" asked Red.
"I'm not telling you that." Sam answered with an attitude.
"Fair enough I guess." Green said nonchalantly in a femine voice. Red punched them in the shoulder.
"Hey aren't you the same red that I kneed in the nuts?" asked Sam cockily. The Shy guys couldn't see it but she was smirking underneath her helmet. As Sam was talking, Ollie was hiding behind one of the shelfs out of sight from the Shy Guys. He carefully and quietly pulled out three pikbots, and then carefully crawled over to the front of the register stand. He sighed to himself. He then crawled over to the right of the register stand and slid three pikbots next to the feet of the three Shy Guys.
"No, as a matter of fact that was a different red." Red explained, "But you won't be doing that to us anymore."
"Yeah, the boss said that if ran into you again, that we had to pump you full of lead!" Yellow cheered.
"Oh really?" Sam questioned, "And who exactly is your boss?"
"His name is Mr. Guy." Green answered. Red punched them in the shoulder again.
"Stop telling her our secrets!" Red yelled. He cocked his AK and the other two did the same.
"Now!" Sam yelled to Ollie.
"Discharge!" Ollie exclaimed, causing the pikbots to spew out electricity. The electricity surged through the Shy Guys bodies and they were stunned, dropping their guns in the process.
"Ice beam!" Sam then exclaimed. She aimed and then fired at the shy guys freezing them solid. Ollie stood up.
"Wow. That actually worked." he said. Sam came and stood next to Ollie.
"Glad to know the ice beam works," said Sam.
"What do we do now?" Ollie asked. Sam thought about it.
"Call the cops?" Sam suggested. Ollie shrugged. Sam moved past the frozen bodies and went and hit the silent alarm underneath the counter.
11:20 PM
The cops finally arrived after sometime. Ollie and Sam were sitting outside the general store. Three cop cars arrived and parked across from the general store. Six cops emerged from the three cops and approached Ollie and Sam.
"They're in there officers." Sam said.
"Who's in there?" one of the cops asked.
"Oh, we took out three shy guys." Ollie explained, "They're frozen but they should be thawing out right now."
"YOU WON'T GET AWAY WITH THIS TWERPS!" yelled Red. The cops quickly rushed in and saw the frozen Shy Guys; only the tops of their heads were unfrozen. They froze with their hands up as if they still had their guns in their hands. One of the cops went and pulled off the now wet white mask off of their faces. The cop then analyzed the masks. They were simplistic. Two big black circles for eyes and one small one for a mouth that was lower on the face. They then divided into two and each carried the three shy guys out of the general store. They placed them outside and proceeded to start chipping away at the ice. Sam and Ollie watched as the cops started the process. Sam noticed Green's hair. It was long and blonde like hers.
"Oh! I like your hair." Sam said to Green. Green blushed.
"Oh, thank you. I got it done yesterday." said Green. Red got pissed.
"Don't talk to the fucking super heroes!" Red exclaimed.
"Enough! "You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have a right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed for you." said one of the cops. Red rolled his eyes.
"The boss isn't gonna be happy about this." said Yellow with a sad tone. Red glared at Sam and Ollie with evil in his eyes. The news team then showed up in their Channel 3 news van. Instead of Quillson Smith reporting, it was Dotty this time. Dotty got out of the passenger seat and her camera guy Axel got out from the back with the camera on his shoulders. Dotty patted down her blue button up dress that had a Channel 3 patch on the left breast and then patted down her pitch black hair.
"Ready Axel?" She questioned.
"Ready!" Axel confirmed. He patted his big belly. Dotty breathed out and then went into reporter mode.
"Thanks Quillson. I'm on the scene where New Donk's newest superheroes have just stopped an armed robbery by the infamous Shy Guy Gang." she started to say. Ollie and Sam then got up from sitting to talk to Dotty.
"Superheroes, the thing that everyone wants to know is, well firstly what should we call you guys?" Dotty asked. She held the mic to Sam and Ollie.
"You can call me Samus." Sam said. Ollie was surprised by her answer. He had thought of a superhero name but he didn't know Sam had thought of one too.
"I go by Orima," said Ollie.
"Samus and Orima, what can you say about the robbery that almost took place today?" asked Dotty.
"We were on patrol as normal when we saw the Shy Guys break into the general store." Sam explained.
"So you know, we swooped in and stopped them." Ollie added. Dotty smiled.
"What do you have to say to any other bad guys that may be watching this right now?"
"Watch your backs! Samus and I are here to keep the city safe!" Ollie cheered.
"Well there you have it folks, New Donk's heroes Orima and Samus are here to keep us citizens safe. Back to you Quillson." said Dotty. Axel took the camera off of his shoulders. "How did I do?" Dotty asked Axel.
"Fantastic as always." Axel replied. Dotty smiled.
"Thank you for keeping our city safe you guys." Dotty said to Sam and Ollie. She reached out her hand and Sam and Ollie shook it. Axel did the same. As they shook hands, the cops loaded the shy guys into one car and headed off for the station. Dotty and Axel got back into the Channel 3 van and drove off, leaving Ollie and Sam alone on the street.
"Well that happened." Sam commented.
"I think we did pretty well." Ollie said. The two were about to get into Sam's car when a long black limo pulled up in front of them. The passenger window rolled down to reveal a big bulky man driving.
"Get in. The mayor wants to talk to you." he said in a deep voice. Ollie and Sam looked at each other. They both shrugged and got into the limo. The driver then drove them to Mayor Pauline's office.
MOMENTS EARLIER
Isabelle was in her long pink nightgown in her bed watching her tv dramas. She had her pillow to her chest and she was welling up. The episode ended and she dried her eyes. "Wow, what a good episode." she said to herself. She changed the channel to the news to see Dotty interviewing Ollie and Sam. She let out a small scream and scrambled to grab her phone off of her night stand, falling off of her bed in the process. On the floor, she quickly dialed Mayor Pauline's number.
Pauline was fast asleep in her king sized bed with silk red sheets with a red sleep mask over her face. In the middle of a snore, her phone went off. She screamed as she woke up and removed her sleep mask. She grabbed her phone off her left night stand and answered it.
"Hello?" she answered, all groggy like.
"MISS PAULINE! CHANNEL 3 IS INTERVIEWING THE SUPERHEROES OUTSIDE OF THE GENERAL STORE!" Isabelle screamed over the phone. This woke Pauline up officially.
"Isabelle, get those heroes to my office immediately!" Pauline commanded.
"Yes ma'am!" Isabelle responded cheerfully. She hung up the phone and quickly called Apollo who was Pauline's limo driver and bodyguard. Apollo was doing arm workouts with some dumbbells when Isabelle called. He quickly answered but kept up the workout.
"Apollo! Get to the general store and pick up the two superheroes!" Isabelle exclaimed. Apollo hung up and quickly put on some sweatpants and headed for the limo.
