So yeah, changing up my profile stuff, mostly because I'm kinda bored and don't have the urge to work on the fics I'm writing right now. If you were a fan of me before Death God Ashikabi, I totally failed in my attempt to finish that Kingdom Hearts fic. Sorry for anyone who is reading that, but I think that is entirely on the backburner now, mostly because all the notes I made for it went poof when my old laptop died. I suppose this is good for the Death God Ashikabi fans that I have, especially since that fic trounced my last few attempts and has become more popular than I thought it would. Now that I'm a little older and a little wiser, at the age of 23, I must say it is nice to be back in the game of writing fics again after a long hiatus of around 3 years. I've had many more experiences in those three years, and am now on the cusp of obtaining my B.A. in Japanese (Got it). It's been quite a long road in college, and the countless English classes that I have taken while within those walls of learning have honed my skill in writing.

Now then, since this is an authors page, I'm going to share a few tricks that I have learned through a few Creative Writing classes I have taken. These are some simple exercises to get yourself motivated to write anything in case you decide to do so.

1. Just write. Free up your time and turn off everything from music to TV. It's amazing what pops up when you dedicate yourself entirely to your writing, and it's something I highly recommend everyone try, especially if you want to write something on this site.

2. This one is a little strange, and people might look at you oddly, but I call this particular exercise eavesdropping. Sit at a random public place and just listen to the conversations around you. Write down anything that catches your attention, then build a story around the dialogue. It is a very interesting way to create a story, even if it is unorthodox.

3. This only really works for a play, time yourself to about ten minutes and write the worst play you can think of. I saw someone do this in one of my classes and it was actually probably one of the best things he wrote during the entire class.

4. Accept criticism. Seriously, be it good or bad, accept that you will receive acknowledgement of your work, especially if you post on this site, and as a reviewer don't flame! If you don't like a work try to give examples as to why you don't like it rather than just spout some idiotic nonsense that you could find in youtube comments. We all come to this community to read works that sound interesting to us, if we find that they don't live up to our expectations, that's okay, it's not as though the people here are professional writers, most authors just write to relax, although the reviews help boost our egos a little bit.
