Chapter VI
Okeneba leaped at Monster Zero and closed his jaws around the left head's neck. Monster Zero screeched in pain and latched his other two mouths onto the wolf's back. Okeneba roared in pain, then bit into the middle head.
Monster Zero, distracted by the wolf, didn't realize that it was still diving, and was on a crash course for the mountain that Okeneba had attacked it from. The dragon barely had enough time to put Okeneba between itself and the mountain.
The impact released Okeneba's vice-like bite from Monster Zero's middle head and sent him falling to the ground. The wolf, however, was far from done.
Okeneba jumped onto Monster Zero's back and clawed at it's shoulders. Monster zero screamed and reached it's necks back to try and get Okeneba off, but the wolf saw it coming and swiped his claws at the middle head. The left and right heads grabbed Okeneba's shoulders and threw him off, revealing a secret that Okeneba was hiding.
Two membranes of skin extended out from between his legs and softened his fall. Okeneba glided back to Monster Zero and soared right into it's chest.
Monster Zero suddenly got an idea and flew upwards, carrying the persistent wolf on it's chest. When it reached the clouds, Monster Zero grabbed Okeneba with it's left and right heads, while the middle head fired it's electrical beam into the wolf's wing membrane. Okeneba howled in pain as he fell to the ground.
Believing itself the victor, Monster Zero dove down to finish the wolf off. It didn't see the orange glow to it's right.
Rodan squawked and swiped his talons at Monster Zero's right head. The dragon quickly pulled up when it realized the new threat.
Rodan chittered angrily. He remembered all those years ago, when the very dragon he was fighting now killed his mate. He could still hear the pained cries of his beloved as Monster Zero fired it's electricity relentlessly into her body.
Fueled by the anger, the Fire Demon flew in to deliver another attack. Monster Zero tried to grab the avian to block his attack, but Rodan was too fast and slashed his talons into Monster Zero's torso.
The dragon screamed and was about to deliver another electrical shock, when it's middle head was grabbed by another pair of talons.
Mayura screeched as he pulled on Monster Zero's head. The other two heads screamed and tried to grab the peacock, when Garuda swooped in and grabbed the left head. Rodan caught on to what they were doing and grabbed the remaining head.
All it's other options exhausted, Monster Zero held it's wings close to it's body, before spreading them out as electricity shot out of them and shocked the birds attacking him. Mayura, Garuda, and Rodan cried out in pain as they fell to the ground.
Monster Zero looked around for more competition. It wanted to make sure that the area was clear before it moved on. Just it's luck, it found a human contraption watching from afar.
It was the Argo.
Monster Zero flew after it, flying low over the ocean surface. It was about to reach the Argo, when it was flank attacked by a creature from the depths.
Godzilla pulled Monster Zero into the ocean and rolled around, mimicking the moves of a fellow Titan. Monster Zero, fearful for it's life, tried to fly away, but Godzilla pulled it back down and continued his assault on the left head.
It seemed that Godzilla was going to defeat Monster Zero.
Command Bridge of the Argo, Atlantic Ocean
"Jesus," Stanton muttered. "He's killing 'im."
An alert rang on the communicator. Serizawa pressed the talk button, and was face-to-face with Admiral William Stenz.
"Admiral," he greeted.
"Doctor. I hope you'll forgive me for what I'm doing. The Council has ordered that we use a new weapon on them. An Oxygen Destroyer."
"Admiral, I don't understand," Colonel Foster said.
"If I could, I would refuse. But, the Council has ordered me to fire this weapon."
"Admiral," Serizawa replied, "we still have a chance. We must have faith in Gojira."
"I'm sorry, doctor. The missile is already on it's way. You have less than a minute to get out of the blast radius."
Godzilla continued his battle against Monster Zero. Built for the sea, he was winning easily against the dragon.
With all his strength, Godzilla pulled the left head right off it's neck. Above him, the Oxygen Destroyer flew overhead towards him.
The missile dove into the water and made contact with his back. Once the missile touched his skin, it detonated, and the full fury of the Oxygen Destroyer was unleashed.
A green mushroom rose from the water. All oxygen in it's radius was transformed into carbon dioxide, and the life in the vicinity was killed instantly.
All was silent. Everything seemed to be still.
Then, it returned, and he lost his will to live.
