Note: Thanatos is an OC Titan. He resembles the thanator from the movie Avatar, albeit with four legs and a longer tail.

Chapter VIII
Outpost 54, 25 miles offshore of Bermuda
"Titans all over the world are running rampant," Stenz explained, pointing to a map of the world. "Only Outposts 74 and 98 are intact. The rest have been destroyed. We've tried using nuclear weaponry to lure them away from populated areas, but they're not taking the bait this time. Their behavior seems to be completely random and highly erratic."
Mark and Chen spoke in hushed tones for a moment. Stenz took notice of this.
"Excuse me, doctors," he said, "do you have something to add?"
"Yeah," Chen replied. "You're wrong."
"If I may, Admiral," Mark added, stepping up to the map. "They're not random at all. They're moving like a pack. They all respond directly to the Alpha, and right now, it's him."
He pointed to Monster Zero, who was in the process of flying down the East Coast.
"Do you happen to have a name for him?" Stenz asked.
"Ghidorah," Chen answered. "'The One who is Many.'"
"Graham called him 'the Devil with Three Heads,'" Serizawa added.
"But, in essence," Stanton interjected, "he's an invasive species. He came here on a fragment from a dead planet thousands of years ago."
"Is there another creature that can stand a chance against him?" Colonel Foster asked.
"No," Serizawa said. "Gojira's rivalry with him was ancient and unique."
"So we just killed our best shot at pulling the biggest weed in the universe," Barnes stated.
"Guys," Miki said, "there's something outside."
Outside Castle Bravo, the clouds began to glow. Whale-like moans were heard from within the clouds.
Suddenly, the clouds parted to reveal the bright glowing form of Mothra. She sang a song that few creatures understood, and Bakunawa, who swam in circles beneath her, was one of those few.
The future of the Earth looked bleak, but Mothra and Bakunawa knew something that the humans didn't.
"Beautiful," Serizawa gasped, seeing Mothra's spectacle on the display screen.
"Mothra," Chen said, "Queen of the Monsters."
Mothra continued her song, and Bakunawa growled and bellowed beneath her as well. One would initially think they were communicating with each other, but at times, Bakunawa and Mothra would make sounds at the same time.
"It's like they're calling to someone," Chen noted.
Stanton picked up on the thought and patched the bio-acoustics through the speakers. Everyone heard the voices of Mothra and Bakunawa, but they also heard a familiar groaning.
"He's alive," Miki realized. Serizawa went to Stanton's station.
"So Godzilla and her," Barnes said, "they got, like, a thing going on? That's kind of messed up, right?"
"Symbiotic relationships between two species aren't that uncommon," Jon answered.
"Can you track him?" Serizawa asked.
"No, too weak," Stanton said. "He needs help badly."
"Guys," Mark called out, "I think I have an idea. But, I have two questions."
Everyone looked at him.
"How many nukes do you have, and are you planning on using the Gotengo anytime soon?"
"Why?" Foster asked.
"I think they can lead us to him."
The Gotengo followed Bakunawa and Mothra to the area where Godzilla and Ghidorah fought before. Mothra used her wing dust to mark the area to descend at, and Bakunawa led the super-submarine into the depths.
All was quiet. The only sounds that could be heard were the machinations of the submarine and Bakunawa's echolocation.
Mark finally went onto his laptop and looked at a picture of Andrew, Madison, and Ken, standing in front of Bakunawa. It was their first time meeting Andrew's savior, and the Sea Dragon seemed to be very accepting of their behavior.
He then received a facetime request from Andrew. Mark figured that he should take care of it before he lost the chance to.
"Hey, Andrew," he greeted. "What's up?"
"Dad, we have some bad news," Andrew replied, tears in his eyes. "Madison is gone."
"What?!"
Then the Gotengo lost balance.
