Note: I forgot to answer a question that was nagging at you guys in Chapter X: Who is Lazarus?
Essentially, Lazarus is Shin Godzilla as his own Titan, like Zilla.
That's all! Enjoy, and please R&R!
Chapter XIII
Iron Man, War Machine, Nomad, Black Widow, and an injured Vision gathered together.
"Godzilla's being drained by Ghidorah," Iron Man noted. "Any ideas?"
"We need to distract him from Godzilla long enough for the big guy to get back on his feet," Nomad said. "We need something really big, or he won't notice it."
Just as he finished saying that, a loud crashing was heard. They all turned to see Rodan fighting his way out of a collapsed building. His yellow eyes looked around for a target.
"I got an idea," Tony said.
Iron Man flew in front of Rodan and fired a rocket at his beak.
"Come and get me, you ugly son of a bitch!" he yelled.
Rodan roared in anger and chased after the smaller metallic humanoid. Stark narrowly escaped, but Rodan was far faster, so Iron Man had to be fast and agile.
Rodan finally caught on to what Iron Man was doing, and went full-speed toward Ghidorah.
He tore his long, hooked claws into the Dragon's hide and pulled him off of Godzilla. Ghidorah chased after Rodan and tried to give him a piece of his mind, but Rodan was faster and more agile.
Not far from the chase, Emma Russell rode through Boston in a jeep she stole from the Red Bamboo. She parked it for a second to activate the makeshift Orca in the passenger seat.
"Time to make it right," she said.
The Orca released a variation of the sound she used in Antarctica. Ghidorah heard the sounds and became enraged. He found the jeep and chased it through the city, firing his lightning attacks at Emma.
Finally, he zeroed in and fired his electrical attack, sending the jeep into a building. Emma was thrown out at such a speed that it severely injured her body.
Ghidorah neared with his three pairs of eyes focused on Emma. He sneered angrily at her insolence, and growled loudly at her words.
"Long live... the King."
Before Ghidorah could snap her in his jaws, he sniffed the air. He smelled a familiar scent, combined with the unpleasant smell of ash and smoke.
The buildings collapsed as a tremendous heat melted the supports. A single scaly arm pulled up a muscular body that was filled with rage.
Ghidorah had usurped his throne.
Ghidorah had enslaved those under him.
Ghidorah had killed his Queen.
And now, he would pay the price.
"Guys," Black Widow said, "we need to leave! Now!"
"Go!" Nomad yelled. "Go!"
The Avengers ran to safety as a fiery Godzilla unleashed a roar of pure anger. Ghidorah screeched in kind, but was forced to back up from the extreme heat emanating from Godzilla's body.
The King's spines whirred and crackled, before they unleashed a wave of pure energy that screamed with Mothra's spirit. The energy burned Ghidorah's wings and rendered him unable to escape. The heads released electrical attacks, but it did nothing against the fiery beast before him.
Godzilla then released another explosion. This one burned the Ghidorah's pectoral heads and reduced them to ash, leaving only the middle head. Ghidorah screamed in pain and fear as Godzilla raised his foot and placed it on the Dragon's chest. With all of his weight, Godzilla crushed Ghidorah's chest cavity and unleashed all the energy that was contained in the Dragon's body.
The energy was released in a wave of blinding light that leveled the entire district. No trace of either Godzilla nor Ghidorah was seen.
A pile of rubble in the center of the flat plain stirred and moved. A set of horns poked through the top, before a red eye stared out at the wreckage.
Ghidorah was alive, albeit, not for long.
Godzilla bit onto the end of Ghidorah's neck and started to swallow. Ghidorah screeched and whined as he was flung around, but Godzilla paid no mind as he charged up the last of his energy. His Atomic Breath whirred and smoked as Ghidorah's skin glowed blue. Finally, with a mighty roar, the fire turned a deadly red and disintegrated Ghidorah's head. Godzilla growled and sighed as the last of Ghidorah's energy zapped between his teeth.
"Jesus," War Machine muttered. "Good thing he's on our side."
"For now," Vision added.
"Look," Widow said.
Godzilla heard footsteps behind him. He turned around and saw Behemoth walk toward him, along with the slithering form of Leviathan.
He continued turning as more Titans appeared. Scylla chittered as she scuttled to him.
Methuselah groaned with age and exhaustion as he approached cautiously.
Jinshin-Mushi nervously made herself known, knowing full well what her mother and siblings did to him.
Zilla panted heavily as he slowed to a stop. Godzilla rumbled in a friendly greeting, which Zilla returned.
Caesar lumbered toward him, exhausted from the amount of swimming and running he had to do.
Anguirus appeared from behind the buildings, visibly upset that he missed his opportunity to aid his King.
Bakunawa slithered up to Godzilla, tired from his battle with Kraken.
Mayura and Garuda perched atop multiple buildings and nuzzled each other before turning to Godzilla.
Rodan crawled up to him, still having enough energy to get close.
Fenrir cautiously approached Godzilla, not knowing what his brother did.
Finally, Okeneba dug himself out of the debris and growled threateningly at Godzilla. The King chuffed angrily as he glared at the Wolf, who looked at Fenrir for guidance. The Mountain Wolf also glared at his brother.
Okeneba understood and bowed to Godzilla. The reptile looked at the rest of the Titans.
Fenrir lowered his chest to the ground.
Rodan bowed forward and averted his eyes.
Mayura and Garuda mimicked Rodan and bowed humbly.
Bakunawa lowered his head to the ground.
Anguirus relaxed his spines and closed his eyes as his head grew close to the ground.
Caesar returned to his four-legged stance and bowed.
Zilla was exempt from the Titan Law of bowing to the Alpha, but he still hung his head low and averted his gaze.
Jinshin-Mushi respectfully lowered her body as her eyes faded out.
Methuselah got down on his elbows and closed his tired eyes.
Scylla lowered her body until her tentacles touched the ground.
Leviathan set his head on the ground.
Behemoth bowed and lowered his head.
All the Titans had bowed to him. Godzilla was the undisputed Alpha among them. Although there were many who would dispute this, Godzilla would fight them, unquestionably.
He raised his head to the heavens and roared in victory. From now on, Godzilla would be known by one title:
The King of the Monsters!
