Chapter I: The One Power

'All men are not created equal.' Izuku Midoriya learned this when he was just four years old sitting in the doctors office with his mother Inko as the doctor was giving them the news that Izuku was quirkless.

'Quirkless.' The thought ran through Izuku's four year old mind as his dream of being a hero was shattered heartlessly and callously by the doctor.

He was so into his despondent state of mind that he didn't notice his mother ream the doctor a new orifice. But what Izuku did notice was the silvery colored streams of light moving towards him. He backed away from the tendrils of light in fright till he hit the office wall and the tendrils of light touched him and a bright smile appeared on his face and a giggle left his mouth.

Inko and the doctor turned to him in shock as they didn't expect the young boy to laugh at his predicament.

"Izuku honey, why are you laughing?" Inko asked.

"I'm watching the silver strands?" Izuku replied as he lifted his arms and watched as his body was outlined in a silver glow.

Inko indulged him. "What are the stands doing honey?" Inko asked.

"Making me glow silver." Izuku replied.

"Do these silver strands feel like anything?" the doctor asked.

"Warm like fire, cool like water, gentle like earth, flighty like air and cold like fresh snow." Izuku explained.

"Can these strands do anything?" the doctor asked curiously.

Suddenly Izuku could see the tendrils gain color. Red, Dark Blue, Brown, Light Blue and White. He could feel and see some of the different colored strands, specifically the white and light blue strands touch each other and sort of knot together in a bubble like formation and in an instant Izuku's mind was assaulted by information of the differing strands, what each could do, what two or more could do. The word 'weave' and 'shield' came to mind as did the word 'sever' which caused the boy to instinctively flinch.

The doctor and Inko saw the flinch. "Izuku, what's wrong?" Inko asked concerned. She lifted her hand and pulled a pen from the doctors desk across the room, catching Izuku's attention suddenly and as if on instinct Izuku's hands rose up and he wove a bit of the light blue strands with the pure white strand and tied them in a bubble like formation holding the bubble around his mother.

Suddenly the pen that was in the air halfway to Inko dropped to the floor to the shock of both Inko and the doctor.

"Izuku what did you just do?" Inko asked.

"I shielded you." Izuku explained.

"What do you mean, Izuku?" Inko asked.

"Midoriya-san, why don't you try lifting the pen from the floor." the doctor said as he looked at her, Izuku and the pen on the floor. Inko nodded and lifted her hand and made a come here motion with her hand, but the pen didn't move. She tried it several more times but the pen still didn't move.

"Hmm...It seems Izuku actually does have a Quirk as evidenced by the fact that you can't even move the pen even though I don't actually see anything around you that would conceivably stop you from moving the pen. Furthermore, I believe what Izuku is doing when he "shields" you is what erasure type quirks can do. He's cut you off from your Quirk." the doctor surmised.

"Now, Izuku can you move over here next to me. I want to see if you have a range limit." The doctor said. Izuku raised his hands and tied off the strands before letting the silver light leave him as he walked to the doctor.

"Izuku, did you do anything?" The doctor asked.

Izuku nodded. "I tied off the strands as I walked over here." Izuku replied as he looked up at his mother who was smiling and trying not to cry in happiness instead of being mad.

"Is there anything else you can do?" The doctor asked.

"Before, I was holding the 'weave'. By 'tying off' the weave, I can then do other weaves." Izuku explained.

"I understand. Anything else?" The doctor asked.

"I think that if I use the same two colored strands but twist them in a specific way..." Izuku stopped.

"What is it honey? "What can you do?" Inko asked worried.

"I think...I can cut you off from your Quirk... permanently." Izuku said with tears welling up in his eyes.

Both the doctor and Inko gasped in shock. Never had there been a Quirk that permanently cut someone off from their Quirk.

"Interesting. What would you name this new Quirk?" The doctor asked the boy as Izuku cocked his head as if listening to something.

"I'd name it The One Power as it comes from a mix of the elements." Izuku replied.

"Very well thought out, young man." The doctor said as he scribbled on his pad of paper. "Is there anything else this Quirk can do that you can feel from it?" The doctor asked.

"I think I will potentially be able to reduce the environment to it's elemental forms. Anything beyond that, I don't know just yet. What I've shown today is what I can do for now." Izuku replied as he kept the fact that he could create a new weave made of Fire, Earth, Water, and Spirit to create a deadly weave.

"Okay. As of now, I'd categorize your Quirk, Izuku as a level five quirk. What this means is that it has the potential to create some devastating issues with the Heroes. Mainly that your shield 'weave' can return us to a pre quirk society. So if you realize any new 'weaves' as you call them be it something small or potentially lethal, write it down and hide that information away. Your Quirk in the wrong hands can be catastrophic. So train with it till you learn everything you can about it." The doctor explained.

"I will." Izuku promised as the doctor handed him his registration card.

Name: Izuku Midoriya

Age: 4

Birthdate: July 15th 2060

Quirk Appearance Date: August 1st 2064

Quirk Name: The One Power

Quirk Assessment: Individual can see invisible silver threads, which he can 'channel' the threads into combinations called 'weaves' to then 'shield' a person in a bubble cutting them off from their Quirk. The individual can also 'tie off' the 'weave' to then focus on other areas.

Individual can also use the 'weaves' to deconstruct the elements of Fire, Water, Earth, Air and Spirit present in the environment either from a building or a attack by a Quirk back into the above elements.

Further 'weaves' are unknown at this time. Probability that individual will create or learn new 'weaves' is Highly Likely.

Note: There is no visual cue of Quirk activation.

WARNING: Individual can twist the 'shield' weave to 'sever' a person from their Quirk.

Quirk Threat Assessment: Level Five

Finally after a mind-blowing experience at the doctor's office where Izuku unleashed his Quirk and some quick testing, Inko Midoriya was tired. Not from the tests, but from the shocks discovered by the tests and being a semi unwilling test subject.

Inko shuddered as she remembered the feeling of being cut off or shielded as her four year old boy said from her Quirk. She suddenly had a new appreciation for those unlucky few that were born quirkless. She knew that when Izuku revealed his Quirk that things could get very nasty especially with the children that were Izuku's age.

Meanwhile, Izuku was in his room filled with All Might paraphernalia writing down his Quirk, the description and possible weaves that he knew especially the one that nearly made him queasy. Balefire.

It was a weave that made him extremely anxious. Into his notebook that would never leave his sight while outside his room, he wrote the weave combination: Fire, Earth, and Spirit.

He knew instinctively what this deadly weave did. If it hit a person, depending on how much of the One Power he put into the weave, it first wiped the person out of existence followed by any actions that the individual had taken. What was dependent on the amount of power was how far back in time the weave reversed the actions of the victim.

Izuku shuddered at implications of the weave. It would be able to change the very fabric of history.

He finished writing out the rest of the weaves he knew from conjuring each of the elements to his hand to both a simple and advanced Healing weave to even one for Traveling which was interesting in and of itself. But he knew that when he wove the Traveling weave that he would need concentration and to know if anything was in the way at the other end.

Why? Because the edges of the traveling gateway were scalpel thin and could cut anything to pieces including a person.

Izuku vowed to practice his weaves till he could do multiple weaves including Balefire and Traveling. The first would be an extreme last resort. The second would help him get to people faster.

He smiled as the future looked bright as he began to walk the path of his dreams to become a hero like his idol, All Might.

Izuku spent the rest of the day channeling his Quirk and practicing how much he could safely use. This was because while his new knowledge was mainly focused on weaves, some of it was also about the consequences of channeling too much of his new ability at any one time.

While channeling caused Izuku to be euphoric, it also carried with it a danger. Being that if Izuku were to channel over a certain limit the ability to channel could be burned out of him. Upon coming across that knowledge, he wanted to find his upper limit so that he knew where the line was for him so as not to lose this unique ability.

Izuku decided to begin training his body as he knew that being a hero required one to have the stamina to run down criminals or villains. He also knew that even if he had just gotten his Quirk a few hours ago, that it would get stronger with time and training.

Far away from the young boy practicing with his new ability, an older man with graying hair sat at an ornate desk.

This man was unassuming to the masses in public but behind closed doors he was secretly the 'King' of the Underworld.

He had no name as he had either forgotten it or was just used to be known by his alternative name. It could have been because history had decried his actions as villainous and erased his name from the annals of history. That and the fact that everyone who knew him was dead and dust in a grave long since crumbled away.

Why? Because this man was the notorious All For One and was immortal. Not to say that he didn't age. He did so but at a snails pace by virtue of taking certain Quirks from those who had the ones he wanted. The reason for this was because he was born in the 1950's in a time where Quirks were just appearing. He was the elder of two boys. His younger brother had always been a sickly thing.

All For One grew up during this time of both political and moral unrest where the government tried to reign in those with supernatural abilities. But there was opposition to this by the masses that had abilities that wanted to be able to use their gift how they wanted to without government oversight. So he gathered like minded people and began a long fight for the rights of free Quirk usage against the government who had retaliated and named him the first ever supervillain.

After gathering many different Quirks, All For One had forcefully given his younger brother a Stockpiling Quirk to hopefully help him become stronger as he became weak from being sickly. But his brother had taken it the wrong way and after gaining the forced Quirk, he had run straight to the government who had accepted him but had twisted him into their tool and helped him with his power.

Several decades later, the two brothers met on the field of battle and All For One had with profound sadness killed his younger brother but not before his brother had defied him by telling him the he had a Quirk all along. The ability to pass along his younger brother had laughed at him telling him that he had passed on the Stockpiling Quirk that mixed with his own transfer ability so that hopefully one day the bearer of the ability would be strong enough to bring All For One down.

All For One studied the lone photo on his desk of himself and a lithe green haired woman as they held a wrapped bundle that had green hair. He wondered if the child had a gift. If so, how powerful was the gift. He was pulled from his musings by a knock on the door.

"Enter." All For One commanded. The door opened to reveal a blackish-purple mist with yellow eyes. This figure was Kurogiri, the man with a warp gate Quirk that allowed him to teleport himself and others via portals made from himself.

"What is it Kurogiri?" All For One asked.

"Doctor Garaki is here with some pressing matters.. Kurogiri explained.

"I see. Send him in." All For One replied.

The warp gate user nodded and grew to a large size and became circular. From within the shadows of the gate that Kurogiri's body had become, a bald man with a thick mustache and odd gear like glasses walked into the room to stand in front of the desk. Kurogiri reformed his smoky body and shut the door leaving the two men alone.

"What's so important, Garaki?" All For One asked.

"A child deemed quirkless by the tests spontaneously activated a Quirk while at an appointment with me." Doctor Garaki explained.

"How is this important to me?" All For One asked interested.

"According to the abrupt testing the child can see invisible silver threads which he can absorb to then weave them together to create a shield to use on someone. He can also tie off these weaves. Furthermore, the child believes he can actually sever the connection between the person and their Quirk." The doctor explained.

All For One's eyes widened in surprise. 'That's a unique ability.' All For One thought.

"I see." All For One replied.

"But that's not all. The child can literally deconstruct the environment or a Quirk attack back into its base elements of which he says there are five. Fire, Water, Earth, Air and Spirit. Now whether his Quirk can work on Emitter and Mutant quirks remains to be seen. But it is highly likely that such a thing is possible." Garaki finished.

All For One was struck speechless from the shock of such a powerful and versetile ability. It seemed like it was an aspect of his own Quirk. All For One froze at that idea.

"What's the child's name?" All For One asked. Garaki opened the file that he stashed in his pocket.

"Izuku Midoriya, age four, Mother is Inko Midoriya, Father is Hisashi Midoriya." Garaki rattled off as All For One held out his hand for the file.

Garaki handed over the file. All For One persued the file and even looked at the registration form. 'The One Power' All For One thought. 'The boy had found a good name for it.'

All For One glanced at the DNA results. His eyes widened slightly as the results told him their secret.

This boy was the descendant of his younger brother via his mother. But the father's DNA results matched his own!

Izuku Midoriya was the son of All For One and the tenth generation great grandchild of his brother the first user of One For All!!!
