Chapter VII
Tokyo, Japan
The beast lumbered through the city. It's massive forelimbs crushed everything beneath it, and the military could do nothing but futily shoot at it.
The creature was drawing close to it's destination, a nuclear plant in the center of town, when it heard a loud roar. It turned it's head toward the sea to see a familiar sight.
The newcomer stood just outside of the city. His legs were firmly planted into the ground, and his muscles flexed in anticipation. His yellow eyes narrowed in anger upon seeing the killer of his father.
Godzilla opened his mouth in a vicious roar. The beast roared back.
Before the arthropod monster could move toward Godzilla, it's legs were frozen in place. It looked down to see it's claws covered in silk. Mothra and Battra quickly inched away to avoid the monster's jaws.
As the creature struggled to free itself, Mothra Prime flew in from behind and stabbed her arms between it's armor plates. The creature roared in pain as it reared up unexpectedly, it's muscular legs breaking free of the silk. Mothra Prime held on tight as the beast struggled to get her off.
Godzilla charged the monster and swiped his claws across it's face. Aside from a minor scratch, the beast was unaffected.
Behind it, the larvae spat their webs at it's hindquarters and pulled. Their bodies held strong in the tough concrete, preventing the monster from moving forward.
The beast turned around and tried to attack them, but Godzilla grabbed it's head and pulled hard as he locked his jaws around it's head. The monster screamed and swiped one of it's enormous legs at him, pushing him away with ease.
While the monster confronted Godzilla, the larvae had covered it's legs in silk, almost completely immobilizing it. The monster tried to go after them, but the silk prevented it's rear legs from moving. In frustration, the beast opened it's mouth in a sonic roar that disoriented the larvae. Mothra Prime flew in and smacked it's head with her legs, knocking it off-balance.
The beast ripped it's legs out of the silk and ran after Mothra Prime. Mothra Prime was much more agile, despite her slower speed, and avoided the monster's lunges. She flew back around for another round, and as Godzilla closed his fist on the creature's windpipe, Mothra Prime sliced her legs through it's side. The monster threw Godzilla off of it and swung it's massive claws at him.
In an act of self-sacrifice, Mothra Prime flew between the monster's next attack and Godzilla and protected him from the massive claws. Her wings were ripped, but she was otherwise unscathed.
The monster roared as it tried to finish Mothra Prime off, but Godzilla, in a feat of strength, pulled it into the air and threw it about half a mile away. The monster roared in a warning, telling them that it would be back. Godzilla simply roared in response, telling it that he would kill it if it was the last thing he did.
The monster retreated into the sea, while Godzilla checked on Mothra Prime and her children. When he saw his Queen, his eyes widened in shock.
There was a massive rip in Mothra Prime's back. She was bleeding profusely.
She laid on the ground, her larvae whimpering at her inevitable death. Godzilla knelt down and nuzzled her furry head. Mothra Prime chittered in reply, asking him to look after her children. He nodded slightly and groaned, promising her that they will be taken care of. Satisfied with her children's fate, Mothra Prime lowered her head, and her eyes lost their beautiful glow. Her body went completely still. She was dead.
Godzilla stood up and reared his head in a pained, vengeful roar. The larvae followed suit. His anger expelled, Godzilla growled at the larvae, telling them to get on his back. They obeyed, and Godzilla left for Moansta Island.

The team watched in horror and dismay as Mothra Prime died. Chen and Madison were in tears, and Graham was trying not to follow suit. Serizawa had his hand on his chest, as he felt Godzilla's pain.
"It is the most painful experience," he said sadly, "to lose the love of your life."
The entire team bowed their heads in a moment of silence for Mothra Prime. Carol was very much in pain upon seeing the death of her friend.
After the moment of silence, everyone returned to work. The atmosphere was now much more somber, as they lost an ally and friend. Carol stepped outside and let the tears fall, not worrying about them freezing to her face.
"I'm sorry, Carol," Fury said softly, placing his hand on her shoulder. "I know how much she meant to you."
"Thank you, Nick," Carol returned as she put her hand over his.
They stood outside for a while, watching the soldiers work double time on the electrical pylons. She agreed with Mark about their potential danger, but hoped that they weren't dangerous.
They then heard a commotion in the building. They walked inside, seeing everyone gathered around Dr. Stanton.
"What is it?" Fury asked, joining the crowd.
"Another Titan is rising," the binge-drinking doctor answered. "Outpost 55. Grand Canyon, Arizona."
Outpost 55, Arizona
The outpost was standing on shaky ground. The earth began to crack and hiss as heat from it's captive escaped. A low growl was heard as the rocks gave way to a magnificent sight.
The creature revealed a face like that of a dragon, with hundreds of crocodilian teeth and a frill on it's head, like a triceratops. A single horn stood proudly on it's nose, and it's eye's bore a deadly yellow glow as they opened. The creature's body was covered in a shell decorated with hundreds of yellow spikes. It's long tail broke out of the ground, the giant club on the end smashing back into the ground with a thud.
The monster glared at the outpost that tried to keep it contained, but it's glare became a wide-eyed stare as it heard another distraught cry from it's King.
It roared in response, it's roar a mix between Godzilla's roar and the squeal of a pig. One would think that, with these details, it would sound ridiculous, but it was such a mix that sent shivers down the spines of the Monarch scientists in the outpost.
The creature tucked it's head under it's body and curled into a ball, like an armadillo. It rolled down the Canyon and followed the stream as it flowed to the ocean.

Everyone stared as the footage from Outpost 55 played on the main monitor. They were astounded at the beast.
"Got a catchy name for this one?" Mark asked Chen. Before she could reply, Serizawa answered him.
"My people called it Angilas, the Dragon of the Earth. Other myths have connected him to Gojira as an ally."
"Good to know he's on our side," Stanton interjected.
"For now," Chen replied.
Moansta Island, Sea of Japan
Godzilla rose onto the beach of Moansta Island as he heard a familiar roar, a roar that he hadn't heard since he banished the Devil into the ice.
Godzilla roared in reply, giving his ally his location. They made no reply, and Godzilla escorted the larvae into the forest of the island.
Mothra and Battra looked around in curiosity. They never saw this place before. It was a new adventure for them.
They encountered a giant mantis-like creature. The green bug hissed and raised it's arms, it's yellow eyes threatening and terrible.
Godzilla growled at the insect. The mantis shrunk back in fear and stalked away, joining it's brethren in their hunt for organic food. Godzilla growled again, with less anger this time. The mantis' heard him and pulled some fruit and leaves off the lower trees, placing their harvest before the larvae.
Mothra and Battra looked at their guardian, clueless as to what to do. He nodded to the pile of leaves and fruit, and the larvae got the memo. They ate the food quickly, as it was their first meal. One could almost see a smile in Godzilla's eyes.
