Chapter, 14 - Alaska.
Edward POV.
The weekend had been incredible. I felt happy and free, and Bella was glowing according to Esme. Sunday morning Bella woke up late and I decided to take her out we had lunch in Port Angeles and I bought her a new phone which didn't went down without a fight.
"I don't need a phone Edward"—she said stopping out of the store.
"You promised you would start accepting gifts" I Narrowed my eyes at her. After an hour of stalling, I was able to convince her about a Nokia 7370.
"What Am I going to tell Charlie?"
"That your boyfriend bought you a gift?"—I said, Charlie isn't going to like it but this would make me see how he will react to the car, after stopping in a bookstore and having dinner in the Bella was home by nine.
"I love you, this weekend has been incredible— I said giving her kiss.
"I'm going to miss you"— she said
"Don't pout, I'll be back in a few days. Alice will keep you company and please stay out of trouble"—I said kissing her nose. Just in time, Charlie pulled over.
It's a little too late for this boy to still be here, if only Bella would have waited on Dating.
"I better go"—I said.
"Goodnight love, I'll see you soon"—She kissed me
Aughh do they have to do that in front of me?
"Goodnight, Sir"— I said to Charlie, who was not very happy at me. He hasn't been happy at me since Phoenix.
"Goodnight."— He grumbled.
I heard Bella sigh before I drove home.
Bella POV.
I saw my love go. I was going to miss him so much, this weekend had been incredible and i didn't want it to end.
"Are you going to stand there all night?" Charlie laughed.
"Why do you have to be so rude to him?" I said walking past him Into the house
"Because it's my job"— he said. "So how was camping?" He said looking at me up and down.
"Good"—I said blushing? Damn it Bella get it together. He's going to realice something happen, how are you going to keep the whole vampire secret if you can't Lie.
"Why are you blushing?"He said, great so tonight I get cop dad.
"I have something to tell you"—I said, maybe if I show him the phone he will forget about camping.
"What happened? What did that boy do"— He glared at me. I opened my mouth to speak— " i knew it. It's the woods. It's dark cold. You try to get warm, things get touched…"
CHARLIE!— i yelled embarrassed.—" He bought me a phone."—I said pulling the phone out of my pocket.
"Oh"— he said, clearly getting embarrassed… Oh my God Mom said dad was a very outdoorsy kind of guy, Does that mean that?... "Was I conceived in the forest?" I asked before realizing what came out of my mouth.
"Why did he buy a phone?"— He said, ignoring my question. Well dad, because my boyfriend wanted a way to communicate with me so that I dont have to stand in the kitchen all the time.
"To communicate."— I said with more attitude then I intended, Apparently Charlie didn't like my tone either.
"So he's using his parents money to buy you expensive gifts. What does Carlisle and Esme have to say about this?"
"Edward has his own money dad"—I said walking up the stairs.
"He doesn't even work."— Charlie said following me. I shrugged. –"Trust fund"—I said walking into my room.
"Isabella don't be a teenager tonight."— He said through my door. –"Open it."
"Yes, dad." --I asked nicely opening the door.
"Trust fund?"—Charlie inquired.
"Maybe you could ask Edward, you know, have a conversation with him."— I know this wasn't the best way to make Charlie talk with Edward but he has to start understanding, Edwards the man I chose, and if the books gave us any indication, We need to work on the whole Father, daughter, boyfriend, political family relationship. We have to do better.
He rolled his eyes at me. "Fine, next time I will tell him to consult me about buying expensive gifts."
"You bought me a camera."
" Yes, and you almost bite my head off, I want to know if he got the same treatment?"
"He did but I did need a phone."— I smiled.
"There's one in the kitchen."
I had to laugh at that. Charlie was taking this really good. Mom did warn me that he might get annoyed and jealous. "Goodnight dad."
"I'll talk to him tomorrow morning"— I shook my head. –"Carlisle and him are going up to Alaska for a few days."
"When he comes back, Goodnight"— he said, going into his room.
Well, that could gone worse.
Edward POV.
Everyone was already at home when I arrived.
"Well, well looking fresh bro"—Emmett said. He does look fresh. I wonder? Is that why it smells like Bella all over the house? Why would it? Smells like… They did it.
"Hello Emmett"— I said going up the stairs. I was able to get to my room with out inconvenience until I read their thoughts, Thank Go, all that stress coming out of him was going to kill me. I see you did have fun Edward,good job. jasper told me.
Where is the rug? Rosalie thought looking around.
See, I told you that you would be fine. You only had to enjoy it. But seriously, you ruined the rug? the most obvious thing about the living room.
Meddling Pixie.
"Where is Bella?" –Emmett said.
"We leave in 5"—Carlisle told us saving me from embarrassment.
We had decided to take the car, I have to give it to my brother he waited few hours to voice his questions out loud because his mind was…
They didn't do it. No, he wouldn't have stopped. Rosalie and I weren't able to stop. The house did smell a lot like Bella and we were missing the rug, Rosalie said something about the cushion. Alice had knows I'm sure of that, I wonder would will take for her to give me the details.
"Emmett Bella and I decided to allow you three questions and then you have to let it go."- I said looking back at him.
Are you sure? you might regret this. Carlisle thought amused.
"Did you do it?"— He said wiggling his eyebrows?
"No."
"What did you do?"—
"Bella and I decided to try being more… Intimate"
"How did it go?"— Carlisle asked. Sorry, I didn't mean to but when esme came back to the cabin she was laughing and she started ordering a new rug.

"We have our limitations and we are slowly discovering them while having fun."
Emmett clapped his hand in my shoulder –"That's great bro. That will make you and Bella get closer. It will also help you both discuss things something you didn't do in the books"— he pointed out.
He's right, my father said.
"Are you going to keep doing it?"— Emmett said, "that's your last question", I told him— " it's OK I'm sure theres some action in the book"
I rolled my eyes and decided to answer him—"Yes. Even after the mind reading and living for so long, I wasn't prepared for all the emotions and the feeling of belonging. It's Addicting I just bedded her more and more."
Carlisle agreed and Emmett laughed.— "Imagine when we get to the good part. We won't be seeing for years."
Soon both of them started thinking about their mates— "Can we change the subject please I don't like to imagine my sister and my mother like that."
"Actually I would like to discuss a thought I Have about the following Books"—Carlisle said—"I believe we will have a battle."
"With the wolves"— Emmitt said. Excited to prove his Strength against the puppies as he calls him.
"No, With the volturi. I've been thinking about the volterra situation and my talk with Eleazar last night confirms that Aro isn't going to let it go. I believe that's what meyer wanted us to prevent."
"Could we win" –Emmett asked
Carlisle to face darkened. –"I'm afraid not."

"Then we should keep a low profile in this reality."— I said thinking about Bella.
"I also have comment about the books. I believe that Charlie is going to find out about us."—Emmett said. We just stared at him.
"Charlie can't find out. If we fight the volturi They're not going to forgive Charlie. They're going to kill him." – that would kill Bella.
"Think about it. The book ended with you and the puppy angry at each other. The puppy is mad and in his eyes hes a good guy and you're a monster. What if he tries to do the same thing he did with the motorcycles? What if he decides to tell Charlie the truth about the wolves revealing our secret in the process? If Charlie finds out we won't be able to just pack and disappear. He's a cop. He'll follow us anywhere and we won't be leaving Bella behind, so… I think he finds out and he gets turned into a vampire"— Emmett said all in one breath. Charlie as a vampire, that would be cool he could be blade.
Fuck! Emmet could be right. What would Charlie do, would he take Bella away from me? Would he enjoy being a vampire? Would Bella want him to be a vampire?—" Perhaps you're right, Emmett but let's hope Jacob has more common sense Or at least the The Council"--my father said.
After that we stayed in silence till we reach the entrance to Denali's.—" What do they know"
"That meyer warned us about Jaspers attack and Laurents they believe Bella dies and Edward seeks death in Volterra. Irina thinks we are here because we plan to move back next year."
I hate lying to our friends, but It's for the best. If their family gets involved in the future books, edward with your permission, I would like to consult with Eleazar. I nodded.
A few moments later we were in the front of the Denali mansion. The house was three times bigger than ours, Carmen also enjoy a little bit of interior design. Eleazar was already waiting for us. Carmen by his side. His thoughts were troublesome. He didn't trust Laurent since the first moment and Carmen isn't liking the conflict he's creating between the sisters.
"My dear friends"— Eleazar greeted us.
Carmen invited us in and after getting seated in the couch. We started talking.
"Irina and Laurent are Hunting he slipped… again—Carman said, annoyed. "And the girls are in a get away trip in Russia"
"Tell me. What did this Meyer said and how can we help you?—
Carlisle and Emmet looked at me.
"We received a note from meyer on Bella's birthday where she warned us about jaspers attack, after the attack the family decided to leave and it didn't went well for either me or her. While we were gone, Laurent came to visit us, or at least that's the excuse, he used and he Killed Bella, I found out about and decided I wanted to die too. So I went to the Volturi to ask to be killed. All of that has been prevented.
Laurent in the note he mentioned Victoria, she was James mate, in the note, it seemed that they had been communicating in secret."
"I don't understand how do you know that he said those things.— Carmen asked, Eleazar answered for me.
"I have seen meyers work, she sends her visions written like a book. She describes the scenes in the thoughts of the person living those sitituations, I assume you red Bella's thoughts? "— Eleazar asked me.
"Yes in this Book, She had a conversation with Laurent, he described her as a pet. He also said that Victoria had been looking for her."
" According to Alice, Victoria is in New York, but after New Year's Eve, she gets fussy and so does Laurent."
Carmen started growling.
"You understand why we're here? I know that you gave him the benefit of the doubt because he wanted to try our diet. I know that irina believes he is her mate but if he was i don't think he would've abandoned her. In the book he also described enjoying Irina as much as he enjoyed Tanya."—carlisle said
Carmen growled pacing the room. "He's dividing the sisters, Irina is so attached to him. I don't know what she sees in him. Tanya and him used to fool around once in awhile, she back off when she realize that her sister had more deep feelings for him.
But he keeps slipping whenever he hunts alone. Tanya and Kate kept telling Irina that he was not good, that he wasn't even trying but… My poor girl."
"We come here to do nothing, we just want to see him. To make him know that we still remember that he's here. To make him know that he has to stay loyal to us."—emmett said
Eleazars thoughts were focusing on his Sisters, about Bella, the Volturi, We are missing something here.
"There's something you're not telling me."— he said suspiciously
Edward son, it's not my decision . This are books about your life. I can only tell you I trust Eleazar.
"Edward…? " Carman said—"You can trust us"
Bro. I know it's about your mate but they have kept the secret of her being human. I think we can trust them.
They were right but it was bella's life.

"I'm sorry that we're lying to you. Bella being human it keeps me on edge. We have to keep her secret."— Eleazar and Carmen nodded.
"We received more books. All of them are bella's thoughts. The first one was about when we met, the James situation in Phoenix. The second one is Jasper's attack, us leaving and a whole other predicaments she gets involved. I don't know if you remember carlisle spoke to you about a shapeshifter"
Eleazar nodded. –"Well, apparently they're back and Bella be friends one. She found laurent in the woods, the wolves kill Laurent. Bella Does was presumed dead and I found out, The whole Volterra situation happened… we haven't read the others. Your family is not involved yet, We are involving you in this because Laurent is here with you."
Carmen smiled sweetly at me—"everyone wants to protect their mate, we understand why you didn't want to tell us. I'm a supernatural creature and still someone sending books about the future sounds a little crazy."
Eleazar was still processing My words.
"I will take no offense about you keeping this from us because I have seen Meyers power. She was the one that warned the Volturi about the Inmortal children. She's also warned them about the covens who have tried to overrule them."
"She's loyal to them? "— Emmett asked remembering the conversation with carlisle.
"No, I think she's loyal to whoever she wants to be at the moment. There rumors that she's also helped the Romanians. Also individuals Like you. She's helped Amun but no one knows in what way and there are also rumors inside the Castel that she's tried to get to Marcus but the package is always intercepted before it gets to him. I only ask that if my family is involved, You tell us."
"Of course"— I said
"We're not here to kill him or to make threats. We only want him to realice that we're still tracking him. I brought emmett for a little bit of intimidation and Edward will be searching his mind to see where his loyalty stands."
"Very well your more than welcome to stay as much as you need."— Carmen said
Eleazar wasn't happy with laurents behavior he made it clear. I wonder if he would be the one to kill him if laurent shows any sign of disloyalty.
The following days in Alaska were exhausting . Eleazar wasn't angry at us for keeping the secret about the Books his only concern is to protect Carmen.
Once irina and Laurent got back the house became tense. Irina kept asking me if they had a connection. She was disappointed when I confirmed that they were not mates, he found her attractive and sometimes found himself enjoying her company but nothing more.
In the whole five days that we were there, he never thought about Victoria but his thoughts would sometimes drift back to the days he found James. Perhaps his loyalty never stood with Victoria, but with him.
Sometimes when my smiles betrayed me and everyone realized I was talking to Bella, he would ask me about her. Perhaps it wasn't even loyalty to his old coven, he just wanted Bella for himself. Whatever it was, he was being very careful with his thoughts, it was driving me insane. Emmett was right we should have killed the three of them that day.
My week was slow and painful I missed Bella
Eleazar, carlisle and I decided to go hunt on our last day to get our stories right.
We had been hunting for a few hours. Very up north, far away from the house.
"What did you found Edward"
"There's no connection, they're not mates. He finds her attractive but nothing more. He hasn't thought about Victoria, but he keeps thinking about James. He realices and changes the course of his thoughts to something more intimate, hes thought about leaving and he kills human when he's feeling stress, I'm sorry Eleazar but he's loyal only to himself."
"What should we do now?"— Carlisle ask.
"I'm afraid he will be a problem not only for your coven, but for mine as well. "—Eleazar said –"Once Kate and Tanya arrive, I will put them up to speed. We will make a decision with them"
"I don't like violence but if we don't take care of him or Victoria I'm afraid a lot of people will pay the consequences. Alice is keeping track of him even. If he makes a move close to forks, we will attack and we will start hunting Victoria as well."
Keep your hunting discreet Carlisle if the volturi realizes that vampires are hunting vampires they will send someone from the gaurd and Bella will be exposed."
"We'll be as discreet as possible"
Once we returned to the House we said our goodbyes and with the promise of another visit we drove to forks.
I needed Bella and I was anxious to start the books I want to know what happens next.
