Chapter XIII
Sierra Madre, Mexico
Godzilla groaned as he and Anguirus trudged into the mountains of Mexico. They were a long way off from the source of the annoying sound, but they heard the cries of the male M.U.T.O., and went to investigate.
Anguirus, having the better sense of smell, immediately began sniffing around. Godzilla kept a look out in case of attack.
A wise decision, indeed.
A loud screech was heard as the silhouette of a massive bird flew out of the clouds and right for Godzilla. The King only had a second to react as Rodan's talons stretched out to claw through him.
Anguirus, having heard Rodan's scream, jumped in front of Godzilla. His carapace was thick enough to prevent the talons from piercing his body and the spikes actually caused Rodan pain. The bird screamed and flew away a short distance, coming back for another attack.
This time, Godzilla saw it coming and slashed his claws at Rodan's body. It did little more than scrape a little rock off of the firebird's armor. Rodan quickly turned around and clawed at Godzilla's face, earning a scream and a claw around his ankle.
Rodan cried again and tried to fly away, but Godzilla's grip held true. Using this opportunity, Anguirus jumped and latched his jaws around Rodan's neck, bringing the giant bird to his level.
Earth met Volcano as Rodan futiley tried to fight Anguirus away. The Earth Dragon repeatedly slammed the Fire Demon into the rocky mountain face, doing little more than disorient him.
Rodan finally lashed out and flapped his wings hard, sending him rocketing upwards. As he flew, his wing claws scratched against Godzilla's gills, unleashing a roar of extreme pain.
A roar that was heard around the world.
The Himalayas, Nepal
The lonely Sherpa climbed the face of Mount Everest. His job was escorting tourists and daredevils up the mountain. It wasn't his ideal job, but it payed well, so he couldn't complain.
He couldn't hear it, but somehow, his body sensed the tremors in the air of a roar. A roar of pain so extreme, only dreaded enemies could know of it.
A loud rumbling was heard, as a nearby mountain trembled. The snow seemed to come alive as a pair of birdlike wings rose into the air.
The creature was similar to a peacock, but it was significantly different, as the long 'train' of feathers was on it's tail instead of it's back. It's hawk-like eyes wandered around to pinpoint the source of the roar. It screeched in kind.
Another mountain trembled, this one's snow falling off to reveal the silvery grey creature underneath. The beast was like a hawk, but it's neck was much longer.
The two birds shared a few squawks before the peacock lifted it's wings and flew in the direction of the roar. The hawk did the same, allowing the peacock to lead the way.
"Nobody in the village will believe me," the Sherpa muttered in his own language.
Hong Kong
The riot police fought against the rioters with their clear shields. They were having a bad day, as the riots were going on day and night.
One of the officers felt an odd sensation in his body. It was like he knew that someone was in pain. Someone very far away.
Evidently, he wasn't the only one who felt it.
The ground quaked violently as everyone was thrown off-balance. The officer turned to see the water of the Bay boiling, before it erupted like a volcano of water.
A massive dragon emerged from the eruption, with long forelimbs and paddle-like rear limbs. It landed on the dock with a tremulous thud.
The dragon bellowed as it ran for the roar of pain, which was a path that the riot police were in the middle of. The dragon ran directly over the one officer as the others ran away in fear. The lone officer just stood in amazement as the dragon ran like mad to get to the source of the roar.
Monster Island, Sea of Japan
Abbadon heard the pained cries of Godzilla, but knew her duty. She had to stay with the pupating moths to make sure they matured properly.
However, the cries even reached the moths ears. The cocoons pulsated faster and faster, before they burst with glowing liquid.
The blue one opened to make way for a beautiful, angelic creature, with eyes that glowed like sapphires. The red one revealed a black, demonic moth with yellow horns and eyes like rubies.
The black moth spread it's red wings, revealing the scalloped edges. The angelic one did the same unveiling a wingspan that far surpassed her brother's.
The Queen raised her voice in a shrill cry, telling her King that she will assist him.

"Guys?" Stanton called out. "We're going to have company real soon."
The main display monitor showed everyone what Stanton was looking at. Three lines were converging on their location from two areas; Hong Kong and Nepal.
"They're awake," Serizawa noted. "They heard him."
"Who's the third one?" Romanoff asked.
"Garuda," Jon answered. "The bird from whose feathers Mayura was born."
"That's why he disappeared there in the first place," Graham added, "to find his mate."
"Think they'll be enough for Rodan and the M.U.T.O.s?" Steve asked.
"They'll have to," Serizawa replied, "if we are to survive."
