Episode 4
Underground
After the battle with Ghidorah; Kenji, and Ethan head back to monster island to discuss what is going on. Emma, and Mikki begin to tell Ethan what the Kaiju-knights are; when suddenly a nearby volcano is awakening.
"What the heck was that?" Kenji asks feeling a little startled by the shaking.
Mikki rushes over to window, and is surprised by what she sees.
"Oh-no this cannot be happening!" Mikki says in shock.
"What is it?" Emma asks upon hearing that.
As Emma goes to find out what is going on with Mikki; she sees what Mikki was in shock about. That is when they all head towards the window; to see that the volcano on monster island is trying to erupt. At that moment one of the gems at the console; begins to glow a bright red. Seeing this Mikki runs towards the gem, and grabs a hold of it.
"This can't be a coincidence; it can only mean one thing" Mikki explains.
"What does this mean?" Ethan asks never seen a gem glowing that bright before.
"What this means Ethan we must find someone to take this gem; someone who matches the kaiju's personality" Emma replies.
"So, who is the monster?" Kenji asks.
"Well, that is the problem the person must be someone who is stubborn, headstrong, and doesn't listen to orders very well, but must also be loyal, and come to your aid when you need him. Cause this monster is known as Rodan."Mikki explains
Hearing this both Kenji, and Ethan look at each other as if they both know who they want for this monster.
"You two know someone who could be the Rodan knight?" Emma asks curiously.
"Well, yeah we do; our friend Trent." Kenji replies.
"Yeah, Trent would totally be perfect as he does have that temper. He also is pretty loyal when it comes to bullies bothering us. He is someone who doesn't like bullies at all. You should have seen what happened to the last bully who tried to bother us with him nearby; needless to say he gave them a reason to be afraid." Ethan explains.
"So, what are you two waiting for? Go get him." Emma orders. So, the two of them head for the teleporter. When they land after being teleported; they find a bus in front of the hotel.
"What the heck is going on? I thought this trip was going to last for the whole month?" Ethan asks Cole.
"Well, it turns out that we have to head home early as one of the teachers has gotten sick." Cole replies a little worried.
"Man, this really sucks, now what are we going to do about our kaiju-knight duties?" Kenji asks.
"Why don't you contact Emma, and explain what is going on?" Ethan replies.
"That is a great idea." Kenji says as he pulls out, his communicator, and contacts Emma.
After Kenji explains the situation; Emma explains that the teleporter is very strong, and will be able to teleport them from anywhere in the world. She explains that as long as he has his communicator; that he will be able to come back to Monster Island to help out. Hearing this Kenji bids Emma goodbye; as he heads onto the bus.
Meanwhile on the moon base; Xenilla is thumping his fingers on the throne, and growling at his two lieutenants.
"How could you two have failed me?! You, and Ghidorah had the two most powerful gems right there in your grasps, and yet you managed to lose them!" Xenilla growls at his minions.
"It wasn't our fault; you see I didn't know that Godzilla was going to be that powerful" Gigan says trembling.
"You fool have forgotten just how powerful my half a brother is?! Ghidorah what is your excuse?! You nearly had the gem of Anguirus, and yet you let it be taken by that kid!" Xenilla growls
"Well, I didn't know that kid was tough; nor did I know he was dear friend to Godzilla." Ghidorah replies trembling.
"You idiot! Of course, Anguirus is a friend to my half a brother Godzilla. How do you think he was able to defeat us?! I'm surrounded by idiots; a whole lot of them!" Xenilla growls as he stands up in front of them, and gives them an evil looking glare.
"Fortunately, I have this, and I know how to use it." Xenilla says holding up a gem with a scarab on it.
It is then he takes the gem, and smashes it to the ground. At that moment smoke arises from where the gem was smashed, and emerging from the smoke is something that looks like a hercules beetle with two drill arms.
"What is my bidding oh lord Xenilla?" The beetle asks.
"Ah, Megalon, I know I can count on you. I need you to find the kaiju knights, and take their gems away from them." Xenilla explains pointing his claw at Megalon.
"Right boss" Megalon says as he starts to walk off.
"But, wait! Before you go. Take Gigan with you; your half-brother, and make sure that neither of you screw up. You got that ?!" Xenilla orders.
"Good! Now go, and do not fail me again Gigan!" Xenilla yells as both Gigan, and Megalon head towards earth.
Meanwhile on train that is leaving from Japan; Kenji is looking out the window that is looking out towards the countryside. He begins to wonder what the next adventure might take him; when suddenly Ethan taps him on the shoulder.
"So, any idea when you are going to show Trent that gem?" Ethan asks eagerly.
"Well, I don't know; I mean we have to get him alone with us, so we could explain what it is." Kenji explains.
"Well, look he is alone now. Why don't we go show him?" Ethan asks pointing to where Trent is.
Trent is sitting alone in a seat with some punk looking headphones in. He is someone who dresses in all black, and has a tough guy attitude. Trent looks up as both Kenji, and Ethan come over towards him. He takes off his headphones, and gives them a mean looking stare.
"Okay, what is it the heck you guys want?" Trent asks. "I mean I didn't get to see any of the action that was said to have taken place, and we have had to leave all cause of some nearby volcano being active!"
"Well, to be honest I don't think that was the volcano that was active; I think it might have been something else." Kenji replies.
"What are you talking about?" Trent asks feeling a little puzzled.
"Well, what if we told you that monsters do exist; like the ones you've seen in the movies? Like Godzilla, Anguirus, and King Ghidorah?" Kenji asks.
"First of all, I would say HA! Then followed by another HA!" Trent replies as he looks at them with a smile on his face. "Are you guys joking? I mean c'mon monsters like that only exist in the movies."
"We're being serious! I mean how do you explain those attacks on the city of Tokyo, and those giant monsters?" Ethan tells Trent.
"Those things were part of another monster movie promotion. They are probably making another monster movie. Anything to attract tourists back to Japan." Trent replies.
As Ethan, and Trent begin to argue; Kenji begins to look out the window. Wondering how to prove to Trent that the adventure that he, and Ethan had was real; Kenji sees something glowing just right outside near mt Fuji. In astonishment, Kenji sees the object land right near the base of the mountain. The impact from the object; makes the train shake a little, forcing everyone on the train to get a good grip on their seats. After the impact; a bright light glows near mt Fuji, so bright that everyone on the train covers their eyes.
The glow fades, and all that is left is something that looks like it dug a hole in the side of the mountain. While Ethan, and Trent are arguing; Kenji tries to break the two up from the fight. When suddenly the whole train begins to shake; at that point one of the girls screams upon seeing something near the mountain. Kenji looks to see what it could be, and sees something burrowing underground. The train again begins to shake as the things approaches the monorail.
Knowing that something is going to happen; Kenji, and Ethan get ready to activate their Kaiju-knight powers. Before they can Megalon emerges from underground in his monster form. Megalon making sure that he is able to get a hold of the gems; smashes one part of the monorail track. Trent looks on terrified at what he just seen; especially since the monorail is heading right for that part of the track. One part of the monorail as it approaches; one of the cars begins to go over the rail.
A teenage girl name Stephanie who is in the car begins to fall along with the car. Trent seeing this rushes over to grab her. Trent makes it, and grabs her by the hand; using all of his strength he manages to pull her in just as she is about to fall.
"Thank you, so much" Stephanie says as she hugs him.
"You're welcome, and I'll deal with this stupid bug. Hey you down here!" Trent yells at Megalon.
Having heard that tiny yell; Megalon goes over to where Trent is, and growls.
"You think you could just ruin our lives, by just trying to kill us?! I'd love to see you trying to kill me; cause you can't!" Trent yells.
"This human must be really stupid for talking to me like that?!" Megalon thinks as he changes to a more human form.
When Megalon turns into his human form; he looks like a cross between a beetle, and a human, but with some drills for hands. Megalon lands right in front of Trent, and bares an evil grin.
"You were saying to me human?! You wanted a death wish; well wish granted!" Megalon says in joker like voice as his drills start to spin towards him.
Trent is about to dodge the drills when something with a spiked shield stops the drill. When the drill stops; Megalon has that questionable look on his face as he wonders what happened. He then sees that his drill is stuck on the spiked shield of the kaiju knight known as Anguirius.
"Hello Megs, what's the problem? It looks like you are very much screwed now" Anguirus replied.
"Not you two!" Megalon replies, and he removes his drill from that shield. It is then he feels a sharp burning pain from his side. When he looks over to his left; that is when he notices Godzilla slashing him with his atomic sword.
"So, these are the ones that my master was talking about. I can make quick work of you" Megalon gloats as he burrows deep underground.
Godzilla, and Anguirus look around; wonder where he is going to emerge. When suddenly an earthquake start to rumble underneath them; when it stops a huge hole appears underneath the two. Causing Godzilla, and Anguirus to fall in; seeing what happened Megalon starts to bury the two. Seeing what is happening to those two heroes; Trent starts to feel a bit enraged by this.
"Hey! What do you think you are doing to those two?! I mean those two were just trying to save lives!" Trent yells.
"Human lives are meaningless; they don't mean anything to a monster like me." Megalon replies turning around. "All that matters is that those two are out of the way of my master's plans for world domination"
"Even if those two are out of the way; you still have the rest of humanity to deal with." Trent says. "And no matter what happens I won't ever stop fighting." at that moment Trent punches Megalon in the chest.
"You stupid kid!" Megalon says knocking the kid aside like he was a doll. "I'm going to enjoy this." At that point Megalon is about to fire a laser from his horn; before the laser can hit him that is when Trent holds up the gem accidently that was given to him by Kenji. The gem begins to glow, and right when the beam is about to hit him. An energy that is shaped like Rodan covers him; when it disappears, Trent looks like a cross between human, and the kaiju Rodan.
"No! This cannot be!" Megalon yells when he sees that Trent has bonded with Rodan.
Seeing his new armor; Trent opens his mouth, and it lets out a sonic screech that pushes Megalon away. Megalon goes flying after hearing that sonic blast, but manages to get right up. Seeing that Trent has bonded with the Rodan gem; Godzilla, and Anguirus join him in the fight. From his back sheath; Godzilla pulls out his atomic blast sword, and Anguirus pulls out his spiked shield. All of them ready to fight against Megalon.
"You guys think you can fight me?! Bring it on!" Megalon yells as he grows to his kaiju size.
Seeing that they are going to need help; Godzilla, and Anguirus summon their monsters, but before they arrive something hits Megalon with a plasma beam. Godzilla, and Anguirus look to see Rodan fighting Megalon. They both turn towards Trent.
"Trent, you need to bond with your monster, only with that gem can he be tamed." Godzilla explains as he heads over to where Godzilla is waiting eager to fight.
Rodan still fighting Megalon sees something shiny on the ground, and goes to investigate. It is there he finds Trent holding the gem of Rodan.
"So, this is the one I'm supposed to be bonded to? Ha, you are nothing compared to my power; I'm the king of the sky." Rodan says.
"Don't you see you stubborn bird your friends Godzilla, and Anguirus are fighting for their lives against that giant burrowing beetle?" Trent replies
"Why should I care about those two; they can do fine without me." Rodan retorts.
"Wanna bet? I think if we can work together, we can show Godzilla how much they need us" Trent replies.
Meanwhile Godzilla, and Anguirius have their hands full as Megalon fires some energy bombs at the two kaiju. This manages to weaken the two Kaiju; when it seems that it is all over for the two kaiju. Megalon is about to drill into the two monsters; when another plasma blast hits him. Rodan flies in, and again fires some more plasma blasts; causing Megalon to do a Texas two step to avoid the blasts. Megalon tries to fire his laser beam, but misses.
Rodan seeing this as an opening, lands, and begins to flap his wings. The wind from the wings begin to make a hurricane; causing Megalon to hold on for dear life. Suddenly Megalon is lifted in the air, at which point Rodan stops flapping his wings. This causes Megalon to fall to the ground with a thud. Megalon manages to get up, but feels a little woozy from the fall.
At which point Godzilla, and Anguirus also managed to wake up. All three monsters look at each other knowing exactly what to do. Godzilla's spines begin to glow as does Rodan's crest, and Anguirus's spikes begins to glow. That is when they unleash their ultimate attack that combines with Anguirus's body roll. The roll that has Godzilla's atomic breath, and Rodan's plasma ray hits Megalon, and he falls disintegrated.
Seeing that they have won the monsters begins to celebrate, and have the humans exit their minds in their knight form.
"Kaiju knight withdraw!" Godzilla, and Anguirus knight say as they power down revealing who they are to Trent; who is shocked as he withdraws his powers as well.
Meanwhile on the moonbase Xenilla is furious at how the battle turned out.
"Gaaaah those Kaiju knights have managed to kill one of my best monsters!" Xenilla exclaims raging.
"Don't forget he also killed my best friend!" Gigan says.
"Silence you fool! Don't you think I know that!" Xenilla exclaims. "I think it might be time to unleash a little bit of waste on the earth." he says as he holds up a gem that looks like some sort of grey blob.
"Please sire, you don't mean what I think you mean?! That one will leave the earth uninhabitable for years if you choose him!"
Well we finally got to see Rodan, and man talk about being stubborn. Next time will the Kaiju knights be able to take on the smog monster? Find out next time.
