It was an early morning as the sun started to rise over the city of Zootopia. In one particular section of the city, a large group of college animals were making their way into the History Museum. Once they were all inside, a female armadillo in a pants suit walked up to the students. She looked amongst them and said, "Greetings, I am Miss Shelly and I will be your tour guide." Then gesturing for them to follow she said, "We'll start in the wing with our oldest exhibits."

The students all followed her through the museum and walked by many different kinds of historical artifacts. They soon came to a large room with murals depicting a time from long ago and very far away. Miss Shelly stopped and addressed, "The ancient Egyptian exhibit goes all the way back to when mammals of all kinds were starting to learn to walk, talk and get along. It features many different kinds of historical artifacts that date more than five thousand years.

"Especially this piece." The armadillo said as she stopped by a podium protected by glass. The students crowded around to get a look at it. The object inside was a golden bracelet that had the body of a scorpion but the head of a jackal. They looked back to the tour guide when she said, "Worn by a fearsome king who was able to prove himself a great warrior."

"What's he called?" One of the students asked her. The tour guide smiled and said, "To tell the story of this king and this item, I must go back to a dark time."

She glanced up at one of the windows high up on the wall just as the sunlight started to rise up and gave a bright flash of light through it.

(Cue Legend of the Scorpion King track)

A much younger sun flashed over an old kingdom long before Zootopia was even considered. Even though the sun was shining brightly down on the ancient world, this day was a dark one as a battle would be fought. A large and ancient city stood in a great desert. Animals of different kinds were gathering in front of the city gates. Each of the animals had some kind of weapon, whether it be paw made or their more natural ones. The animals in front of the city were wearing a loincloth, a chest plate, helmet and had a stern looks upon their faces. They were defending the city from an army of animals that were coming from across the desert. The invading animals soon came upon the city and once they stopped in formation a few yards from the defending army, they raised their weapons and screeched, bellowed or howled out their war cries.

Ms. Shelly: Like I said, it was thousands of years ago, sometime after we had evolved from our primal instincts. And during one the early ages, a fierce warrior known as the Scorpion Fox led a great animal army on a campaign to conquer the known world.

The Scorpion Fox's army was wearing much more regal looking armor with a scorpion on their chest plates and shields. They all stood in a long line as they waited to charge towards the defending army. The invading army of animals in the middle of the formation suddenly moved aside. A warrior walked up to the front of the army. The fox held a shield in one hand and a sword in the other. But on the fox's wrist was golden bracelet that had the body of a scorpion and the head of a jackal. The fox raised his weapon into the air as he shouted his war cry, followed by another round of screeches, bellows and howls from his fellow warriors.

The Scorpion Fox looked over at the army defending the ancient city before looking to his own warriors. They all waited his command and the Scorpion Fox pointed his sword to the city and shouted, "Haku Mashente!"

The Scorpion Fox's army raised their weapons once again and let loose another round of their war cries. Then with a shot of his own, the Scorpion Fox rushed forward with his comrades behind him. The defending animal army gave their own round of war cries before running forward as well. They all shouted as the two animal armies drew closer to each other. When they were but a few yards from each other, both armies prepared themselves for the epic clash. And then a great assortment of animal bodies met in the great clash, signaling that the body had begun.

Swords clashed, claws slashed, hammers were swung, shields blocked an attack or two and spears, antlers and horns impaled bodies as the battle continued to rage on. The two animal armies considered to converge on each other. A water buffalo used his great horns to knock a few fighters out of the way before the trunk of an elephant came around his throat. With a mighty heave, the pachyderm sent the smaller animal flying through the air with a scream. A wolf tackled into a gazelle, but before he could do any damage, a tiger was quick to rip them off before kicking them away. The Scorpion Fox bashed his shield against the gut of a cheetah before slashing his sword down the back of a wolf. A large elephant came running up to him with a large hammer raised, but the Scorpion Fox was able to move out of the way before jumping onto the elephant's back. The elephant tried to remove the fox from his back, but the Scorpion Fox impaled his blade through the back of the bigger animal's head. As the pachyderm came falling face down, the Scorpion Fox jumped off and landed a kick to a lion's face. The soldiers of both armies continued to fight and slaughter each other as the battle continued. The Scorpion Fox plunged his sword into the gut of a rhino before using his claws to slash a tiger in the face. The Scorpion Kat slowly turned around just as an armadillo came running up to him with their weapon raised. The fox waited for the right moment as he lowered his shield and then flipped the enemy warrior through the air with his shield before using it to bash it against another's face. The armadillo grunted when his back hit the ground, but didn't have a chance to get back up when the Scorpion Kat's sword was suddenly impaled through his chest. The armadillo went limp as the Scorpion Fox violently ripped his weapon out. Making sure that his foe was dead, the great fox warrior yelled as he rushed to engage another animal in combat.

But it was for naught as the Scorpion Fox's army had been defeated and driven out. An injured zebra fell to the ground dead as his king and comrades walked into the desert.

Miss Shelly: After a vicious campaign that last for long years, the Scorpion Fox and his army were defeated and driven into the sacred desert of Ahm Shere.

The Scorpion Fox and his warriors walked deep into the desert as the sun bore harshly down on them as they continued. Some dragged their weapons or tails while others hung their heads in defeat. As they continued walking, the Scorpion Fox looked up when he heard a desert bird screech. But with a grim frown he continued to march across the desert with the others.

Later on, the majority of the Scorpion Fox's army had fallen dead due to the heat of the sun and the lack of food and water. An elephant fell dead against the sand and was soon followed by a cheetah as he dropped to the ground before rolling down a sand dune.

Miss Shelly: One by one, the animals slowly perished under the scorching sun… Until only the great animal warrior himself was left alive.

But the Scorpion Fox still lived as he continued to walk through the desert, though he too began to feel the fatigue come upon him as he kept going. He started to stumble as he walked and his eyes were drooping from exhaustion. After some time, the fox had made it to the top of another sand dune, but when he stopped he felt his exhaustion become to great for him. He fell down on his knees though he fought to live, even though he could feel that his time was running out.

Miss Shelly: Near death, the Scorpion Fox made a pact with the dark god Anubis.

The exhausted fox looked up to the sky and prayed in an ancient language and promised the ancient god his soul and services if Anubis would help him to live and help him conquer his foes.

A small black scorpion suddenly popped out of the sand and crawled towards the Scorpion Fox. The red and white canine looked down at the smaller creature and took it as a sign that his pact with Anubis was made. Reaching for it with his paw, the Scorpion Fox was wary as the scorpion became defensive before grabbing it. The scorpion responded by stabbing it's stinger into his paw and the fox grunted in pain with each strike. The Scorpion Fox brought the small creature up to his muzzle before biting its head off for sustenance and the scorpion squealed as its life ended.

Miss Shelly: Anubis accepted his offer and spared his life.

Suddenly, blades of grass started to spring up from the sands and grew all around the Scorpion Fox. The startled fox jumped up and looked about as large ferns sprouted around him and moved back as the greenery continued to spread out for miles around him and tall trees sprouted up as well. The Scorpion Fox turned in a circle as he watched the greenery to grow from the sand. Only when he had turned a full circle is when the plants had stopped growing and the surrounding desert was now the Oasis of Ahm Shere. A grin formed on the Scorpion Fox's face before he threw his head back and raised his arms as he let out a triumphant yell as he could feel victory.

The Scorpion Fox then once again attacked the ancient city where his original army had failed. Only this time he was leading a demonic army of jackal warriors by his side. The dark warriors were wearing dark armor and regal yet demonic looking weapons. They were able to breach the wall and poured through the city as they attacked. They searched, attacked and killed the animals of the city. Whether they be warriors or not. One demonic jackal warrior slapped a female moose to the ground with his hand while he sliced off the head of a tiger guard and stepped on the body after it fell to the ground. The demonic jackal looks down at the body before his lips peel back and he let out a powerful roar.

Miss Shelly: Anubis gave the Scorpion Fox command of his army. And like an evil flood they washed away all that lay before them.

Many of the demonic jackal warriors of Anubis continued to pour into the city and continued the onslaught. Fires were started and blood from many animals stained the ground. Some of the demonic jackal warriors killed animals on the spot, while others dragged others to a high point of the city and threw them over the edge. The falling animals screamed as they fell to their deaths. The warriors of Anubis pushed down structures of all kinds as they continued to cause a great deal of destruction of and death.

Miss Shelly: When his task was done, Anubis forced the Scorpion Fox to serve him for all time.

From his spot in the city, the Scorpion Fox had a dark grin as he looked about the destruction that his new army had caused. While he turned in a circle to view the carnage, he didn't notice that a statue of the jackal Anubis' eyes started to glow orange before he used his magic on his new servant.

The glow extended from the statue and it struck the fox in the back. The Scorpion Fox grunted in pain as his soul was forced from his body. Both his body and his soul screamed in pain as his body shook while his soul was taken into the statue. His body continued to shake and the bracelet on his wrist fell from his arm. The bracelet fell in the sand as the Scorpion Fox's body hit the ground.

Miss Shelly: His army was returned to the sands from whence they came.

The demonic jackal warriors continued to run through the streets before they disintegrated into black sand. One demonic jackal warrior gave a final roar before turning into black sand like the others and disintegrated in the wind.

Miss Shelly: Where they wait, silently, to be awakened once again.

The entire group of animals looked down at the bracelet in wonder while Miss Shelly had a small grin on her face. Then she said, "Now, you will all follow me, we have many other exhibits to see."

The majority of the class started to follow after her. But before joining the others, a young male fox wearing a green T-shirt and brown pants walked up to the case. He looked down at the bracelet for a moment. Unbeknownst to him or any of the other animals in the room, his eyes flashed orange for a moment. The young fox then shrugged before walking away.
