It was a few days after the battle for the realm of Zootopia and the defeat of the fallen god Duke. Finnick the fennec fox had been successful in purifying the Jinsei, Zootopia's life force, of Duke's evil. But in doing so had changed something within him. The small, thunder god fox now stood before two thrones in the Netherrealm in dark looking armor and hat. He had a leather sack strapped to his side. Finnick looked to the two occupants and he said, "Too long have I allowed the realm of Zootopia to endure the horrors of war."
"Time and again we have defeated our enemies." The small thunder god fox said. But then he remembered all those that he had lost from those battles. He then shook his head as he said, "But we've exacted no retribution. Demanded no remuneration.
"What have we gained for our mercy?" Finnick questioned with a distorted voice and thought about how time and again that his protectorate had been threatened, "More intrigue." His anger flared when he took a step forward as he said, "More senseless violence."
The protector of Zootopia took moment to calm himself before looking to the two on the thrones he then warned, "As the new rulers of the Netherrealm, heed me." With a shake of his head he stated, "No longer will I simply defend Zootopia.
"I will seek out and destroy all who threaten it." Finnick said with authority as he then stated, "No mercy will be shown." He clenched his paw as he added, "No quarter given."
Then reaching into his bag, Finnick held his glare as he grabbed hold of something. Then with one quick motion, he brought whatever it was and dropped it on the floor. The severed head of Duke tumbled on the floor before coming to a stop as it faced the new rulers. The severed weasel head looked as if it were trying to say something, but all that came out was gurgles. The eyes looked dim for a moment until the head blinked and a little life came back to them. Finnick then told the new rulers, "Duke was an elder god. Impossible to kill."
Finnick took a step forward and stated as a warning, "There are fates worse than death."
With nothing more to say, Finnick took a step back and raised a clenched fist into the air. The thunder god fox disappeared from a bolt of red lightning. The lightning left a burning spot as the severed head of Duke continued to move while the two new rulers came up to it, revealing themselves to be the revenant versions of Nick Wilde the fox and Judy Hops the rabbit. Both of the undead warriors were clad in Netherrealm armor while red cracks ran across the gray bodies. Both revenants looked down to the severed head before looking to each other as they were uncertain by the thunder god fox's words.
