Nene checked on her Xros Loader for any intel. So far, the Monitamons got nothing. They had to be on standby for now. The girl sighed. She didn't want to press on, but saving her brother was important and urgent. She put her Xros Loader in her pocket. She sighed and put her hand over her face.

"You got nothing I guess," Akari concluded.

"Nothing so far. It takes time to get information in enemy territory. NeoVamdemon knows we are here and probably increased the defense and is ready to attack us with anything."

"We can only wait. The Digimons are still injured and exhausted by the fight," she told her.

They sat on a rock together. Nene sighed, "Still… The longer we wait, the more in danger my brother is. I don't know if he is still safe or not. I… I just have to believe," she put her hand on her chest, "Believe in my heart that he is alive. Safe and sound."

"I'm sure he will," Akari replied to cheer her up.

The other girl nodded and let out a small smile, "You're right. He is. We have to keep fighting until we are together," she checked her Xros Loader and got nothing.

"You really like your brother. You must have been close for a long time to be worry for him."

"We are. We often do many things together. I-" she lightly blushed. She didn't want to talk about it. She sighed a little and went on, "I often practice singing and my brother listened to me. He helped me when I was practicing. I enjoyed it and he is always ready to help me if I don't have the right tone. I also helped him when he had a few problems at school. My brother doesn't have that many friends, but he knows he can always count on me. That's why I won't give up until I find him."

"And we will help you save him. Mostly Taiki and the Digimons," Akari admitted a little nervously.

Nene smiled, "I'm happy you are here. I'm glad I can talk with someone like you."

"I'm also happy to be here with Taiki. I won't have to worry every day if he would return or not… but our parents will," she sighed. She already missed home. She knew her best friend missed it too.

"I…try not to think about home," the other girl admitted. Her Xros Loader rang and she checked at it, "They got something. We should tell Taiki."

"Yeah."

The two girls returned to the village.

Chapter 34: Knowledge Is Power

Taiki wondered how they could explain Dorbickmon in the Xros Loader. For now, it wasn't an immediate problem. Still, keeping it a secret to their new members would be bad. Dorulumon and Cutemon were talking together. He wondered if now was the time or after NeoVamdemon was stopped. The boy had no idea. He felt bad for hiding this to them.

Shoutmon grumbled. He didn't like to wait and do nothing. He walked around and wondered if he could do anything to help. There was nothing they could do until Nene and Akari returned. Nene was the one who collected the information.

"Are you okay brother?" Ballistamon asked curiously.

"I'm fine," the red dragon replied.

"You are doing some push-ups," the robot beetle noticed.

The Digimon in question just realised he was doing that right now. He yelped and played it cool, "There is nothing we can do for now. I need to get stronger and defeat them," he replied as he did them quickly. He stopped when he saw that the two girls came back. He jumped back on his feet and joined them.

"Taiki. We got some update," Nene told him.

"What did they find?" Taiki asked.

The other Digimons came towards the group to hear the information.

"They identified a few of the best soldiers of NeoVamdemon. His soldiers who commanded the others their general. They are commanders of a few squadrons," Nene checked on the report. She gazed at the group, "He has a large army. Even if we took away the barrier, we cannot go straight at them. We need to weaken his army first, then we can attack them."

"Just knowing how many of them won't help us that much," Shoutmon grumbled the obvious.

Darkknightmon nodded, "Anything else?"

"They enemy are ready to go to the offensive. They won't wait for us to attack. They saw them go out to hunt us down. Not Neovamdemon," Nene explained.

"That means that we can get them first," Akari realised.

Taiki was already pensive, "His army went outside of the castle. They went to the offensive? Did they split up or stayed together?"

"They stayed together," Nene replied as she showed a little more detail from the Monitamons.

Shoutmon jumped on Taiki's shoulders to see the report himself, "H-hey! They are going to be pretty close to here if they follow the read the Monitamons are giving us."

"It's going to be dangerous for the habitants," the boy noticed.

The Digimons who heard him grew a little nervous. They were grumbling a little as they gazed at each other's.

Troopmon scratched his side, "I cannot protect everyone if they find the village. We cannot escape from here if they are above us."

"They are going to try and go down here," Taiki just knew it was their plan.

"We need to stop them before they are here. We cannot protect them and fight them at the same time," Sparrowmon noticed. They weren't numerous enough for that.

"We need to ambush them," Taiki decided. He closed his eyes, "We need a plan. The best place to ambush them on their way here."

"Do we have a map. Like a place where we can hide? Or to bring them somewhere?" Dorulumon asked. He grumbled about a place where it might be the best place to fight them. He looked at the group and saw all of them looking at him.

"Okay. We need to fight them in a place where we are at the advantage," Taiki decided. He stood up and began to prepare a plan.

Nene took out anything she could to help. She took out a map of their surrounding. It had been recorded. She added the possible pathways the Bagramon army. The others looked at it and waited for the plan to form.

Darkknightmon closed his eyes and waited for the answer of the boy.

It took an hour for Taiki to formulate his plan. The meantime, Akari and Nene helped him with giving a little more detail from the map and other things.

The Digimons listened to them, but they couldn't follow the thought process of the boy and the girls.

"We can trust them in this," Shoutmon eyes spun as he got list in their words, "Anyway, we need to be ready to fight them!" he took out his mic and spun it in the air. He went on his own to practice his swing.

The other Digimons did the same and trained lightly for the upcoming battle.

Darkknightmon crossed his arms and sighed, "This is taking some time," he didn't express that it was pointless to train. They would need to march soon. He could follow what the humans were saying. He decided to stick with them and gave a few insights for the plan. It was one that they couldn't fail. He corrected himself, they couldn't fail any plans. He didn't really care for the village. Still, it was an extra motivation for the others to fight harder.

The hour passed and Taiki concluded, "Got it!"

The other Digmions quickly joined him. Shoutmon excitedly rushed by his side, "What's the plan?"

The boy prepared his words to explain everything. He wasn't easy to put an image for them. Still, he grabbed something and drew something on the ground.

"Nene showed us where the army of NeoVamdemon are going. One of their big patrols is going over there," he drew a road with a few arrows to showed where the Digimons would go. He then put a village near it and a hill farther to the right, "They are marching near the road that will eventually bring them near the cliff. We need to stop them there," he put an x where the road was the closest of the village. The boy looked at the Digimons who nodded together.

"Sparrowmon will get their attentions and bring them towards the hill. The village is surely abandoned and they will ignore it," Nene explained them. She showed an image from her Xros Loader, "Here's the hill. It is a large one that split in two. We will be ready to get them by surprise."

Taiki nodded and went on, "We need to bring them to a perfect place to get them. We need to have them in front of the hill, right between the two parts of the hill. We will use it from two sides. A group from one side and another from the other side. We will surround them and get rid of their strongest first."

Akari asked, "And if something goes wrong?"

"We will retreat and guide them away from the cliff. It will show them that we aren't hiding at the bottom of the cliff and hope they won't continue to patrol there," the boy replied. He sighed, "I really hope we won't have to retreat."

"We have no intention of losing against Bagramon army," Shoutmon declared optimistically. He raised his fist and turned towards the others, "Right?"

Everyone replied with a yeah. The exceptions were Darkknightmon who nodded positively and Dorulumon who wasn't that certain that it would work.

Dorulumon had to agree that it was a good plan, but good plans could turn back quickly and they needed a way to recover or improvise. That plan B wasn't really calming his nerves. He gazed at Cutemon who was into the plan and was certain of their victory, "We have high morale," he commented quietly.

Ballistamon raised his arms, "Ready for the mission!"

Nene nodded, "We need to move now. We have a few hours to be in position and ready to fight them. If we are too late, our plan is pointless," she checked her Monitamon who updated their location, "Let's go."

The two General load their Digimons into their Xros Loader. Only Sparrowmon wasn't inside. The three humans climbed on her and were ready to depart.

Troopmon watched them and sighed. He was too heavy to follow them, "I'll watch our camp! You can go at ease!"

Lunamon approached them, "Be careful out there. They are surely going to be nasty against you."

"We will be careful," Taiki replied as he gave a thumbs up.

She nodded and let a small smile.

The humans held on the Digimon as she began to ascend in the sky.

Sparrowmon flew through the cliff and once they were out, she gained more altitude before pressing forward. They had little time. She quickly flew towards their destination. She searched for the hill that split in two.

Meanwhile, Nene checked on her map and ready to guide Sparrowmon is she went at the wrong direction.

"What shall we do once we get the soldiers? Do we attack the castle immediately or not?" Akari asked. She was a little nervous as she had no idea what NeoVamdemon might do.

Taiki replied, "If the plan works, we will either quickly attack or get ready for him. He might come at us if we defeat his soldiers."

"I'll immediately tell you what the Death General do. The Monitamons are watching the castle," Nene replied. She pointed to the left, "There it is. You can let us there."

Sparrowmon nodded, "Okay," she landed on the ground and the three humans hopped off. She flew back in the air, but didn't immediately went to the evil Digimons, "Everything's okay?"

"Yes. They will come in a few minutes… Sparrowmon," she gazed at the Digimon.

"Yes?"

"Be careful. Come back quickly," Nene let out a small smile.

"I'll be back soon with them behind me. I'll make sure they won't ignore me," she flew away and left the group behind.

"Let's get into position," Taiki said.

The group split up on the two side of the hill and were ready for the battle.
