A/N: Prompt given by Arjunpriye_Krishnaa on Wattpad. I know it is short and I could've posted it sooner but I had an event week going on and it took most of my time
Prompt: Yudhi/Drau scene before the Dyut Sabha.
"Panchali... you look worried over there. Is everything alright?"
Draupadi blinked up to see Yudhisthira standing in front of her, slowly removing the crown and jewellery and she went up to help him.
"I don't know Aarya. Just something about this situation doesn't sit well with me" she whispered as she carefully placed the last of the jewellery by the table beside the bedside.
"Want to join me for a small game? Maybe it will help you relax?" he asked, pointing at the mat with the dice and pieces, ready for whenever they start playing.
Draupadi gave him a small smile as they sat down opposite each other, ready to play the game. The dice rolled and the game went on quietly for a while.
"Do you think we have made the right decision? Accepting the invitation and going to Hastinapur at this... at this situation?"
"I think we are doing quite well, Panchali... Plus we get to see Maa after quite a while. Plus it is just our relatives, what can go wrong?"
"But Aarya, you were the one who said that your cousins have done... not so great conspiracies in an attempt to bring down your name and kill you."
"But it is not polite to turn down an invitation, familial or political, especially since we have grown," he said with a frown, moving a piece forward.
"Something just doesn't feel right. I will say that we keep vigilant when we are there... something just doesn't sit well with me and if we really have to go there... then we will. Just be careful."
"Draupadi, things will be fine," Yudhisthira said with a soft smile as he hugged her. "But if it means so much to you, we will definitely lookout. Now shall we go to sleep? Our journey is going to be a pretty long one tomorrow."
Draupadi nodded, not having anything else to say as her husband led her back to the bed and snuggled in with her. She just hoped that her suspicions weren't wrong. But when had things ever gone right?
A/N: This still doesn't sit all that well with me... as in I don't feel it's complete but I've been keeping it tucked in for too long that my brain has refused to make any more ideas *sheepish smile* I'm sorry about that!
Hope you all like it! All comments and criticisms accepted and appreciated! Prompts are welcome!
Thank you all for reading!
