Marinette was busy drawing a birth gift for Miss Bustier's baby when Sass approached her.
"Guardian," he began. "Can I talk to you for a few moments?"
The young woman finished her line then put down her pen before raising her head in the direction of the Snake Kwami.
"Of course, Sass," she replied. "What's going on ?"
The little reptile studied her for a few moments in silence, as if he was looking for the best way to approach the subject he wanted to bring up, then he launched himself.
"The other Kwamis and I would like to get out of your room from time to time," he announced. "Tikki is the only one who always goes out with you and we would like to experience the outside world a bit too."
Marinette's eyes widened, surprised at his request, before sighing.
"We've already discussed the matter, Sass," she replied in a sorry tone. "I need Tikki to become Ladybug."
The young woman then gave him a small sympathetic and heartbroken smile.
"It's too dangerous to get you all out of my room," she added. "Do you remember what happened the last time …?"
The memory of her first meeting with Su-Han then came back to her memory, as well as all the events that had followed. But little Kwami didn't seem to want to give up so easily.
"Not if we take turns going out with you when you go on patrol," Sass argued in his calm voice.
Marinette eyed him thoughtfully.
"You can even make an amalgamation with each one of us, so that you are certain that we don't risk escaping and causing a catastrophe," he argued.
The young guardian sighed before smiling.
"You have thought about it well from what I see," she declared, amused in spite of herself. "Okay…" she finally gave in, causing the other Kwamis to cry of joy.
She saw them all springing from their hiding place to make a merry circle around her head: she couldn't say no to them…

That evening, sitting on the edge of the Tour Montparnasse, feet in the air, Chat Noir hissed a catchy tune as he waited for Ladybug to join him on their patrol.
He was watching the sun set over the horizon when he heard the characteristic sound of an unrolling and coiling yoyo approaching him, soon followed by a thud: Ladybug had arrived.
With a smile on his face, the feline smoothly stood up to greet his partner with one of his customary bows when he saw that he wasn't actually in front of Ladybug.
Indeed, the costume of his partner was slightly different from usual. He was now half red, half black, and each of his ladybug dots, also red or black, was circled in a gold circle. A round logo of a cloud, a drop of water and a lightning bolt adorned her chest. Her mask had stretched out across her cheeks in a black fang shape and two red, black and gold feathers were sticking out of her hair, just above her ears.
It wasn't Ladybug standing in front of him, it was Dragonbug.
Chat Noir, although delighted and blown away to see his Lady again with this amalgamation, frowned in concern.
"Is there an Akuma attack, Buginette?" He asked, firming his grip on his baton, ready to go fight.
The heroine shook her head and smiled at him then explained to him in a few words the exchange she had had earlier with Sass.
The feline immediately relaxed and winked at her.
"Maybe I should ask Sass for advice on finally accepting my roses," he teased her with a big smile.
Dragonbug growled before sighing and rolling his eyes, eliciting a laugh from Chat Noir.
"How about we go on patrol?" she offered a few minutes later. "It will prevent you from continuing to say nonsense."
The Miraculous Chat Noir wearer placed a hand on his chest and declared in a theatrical tone.
"You hurt me, my Lady, with your burning words."
Then, proud of his small effect, he drew his baton and jumped from the Tour Montparnasse to go on his tour of Paris.

Lady Bunny approached her mirror and cried out in horror when she saw her reflection.
"I can't go on patrol like that!" She moaned.
In the mirror in front of her, she could see that she was wearing a red black dotted leotard with a beautiful cleavage. Her legs and arms were covered in white spandex with a blue streak that outlined her knees and elbows, as if she was wearing boots and gloves. The same fabric went from the leotard to her neck which was adorned with a black bow tie with blue dots. Two blue and white rabbit ears stood on her head, in front of which extended long quilts that reached down to her waist.
The heroine turned and moaned even more when she discovered a tuft of white hair on the lower back: she was also wearing a bunny tail.
"I really can't leave like this!" She protested again, thinking of undoing her amalgamation with Fluff.
Even though she knew it wasn't fair to little Kwami, her embarrassment was such that she felt her cheeks warm.
Lady Bunny was still procrastinating on what to do when her communicator rang. She sighed and picked up.
"Good evening Chat Noir," she greeted her interlocutor, trying to control her voice.
The feline's voice rose in his room.
"Good evening my Lady. Everything is fine ?" He asked, visibly worried. "It's not like you to be so late for one of our patrols."
The heroine cast another desperate look at her mirror, then sighed.
"It's all right, Chat Noir," she finally answered. I"m coming.
She hung up and, before losing the rest of her courage, she went out to join her partner. Fortunately, it was dark: so he would be the only one to see her like that…

Chat Noir waited patiently for Ladybug at the top of the Tour Eiffel, still worried despite their brief phone call. When he heard her land behind him, he turned to her with the beginnings of a smile that immediately froze. He felt like his heart and eyes were sticking out of his chest, like in a Looney Toons cartoon, when he discovered his partner's new amalgamation.
To say that she was sensational and sexy were faint words and he felt like he had lost the ability to breathe and think. His throat was dry when he swallowed.
"Oh my bunny!" He hissed in spite of himself.
He regained more or less composure when he saw Lady Bunny jiggle in embarrassment in front of him but, alas for her, he also had an immense desire to tease her.
"You decided to apply for the sequel to Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Buginette ?" He asked her smirk.
The heroine blushed even more, making him chuckle slightly.
"It's not funny Chat Noir!" She gritted between her teeth.
The feline's smile stretched even further.
"I love your bow tie," he added, not feeling the charitable soul after his partner's teasing about his bell.
The hour of revenge had come and he was going to give it to his heart. The moan of the young woman also delights him enormously.
"What's the plan tonight, Bugs Bunny?" He continued. "Are we going to visit Daffy Duck? Are we going to chase Tweety? So am I your Sylvester?" He inquired, looking teasing.
He was about to add a few more jokes when he received a blow of a blue umbrella with black and white polka dots on the head.
"That's enough, Chat Noir!" Cried Lady Bunny. "I understood. I will never make fun of your costume again!"
The feline rubbed its aching head, laughing.
"Maybe it's time to go patrolling," he announced, moving away from his partner to take cover of his weapon, before adding. "You are as late, late, as the white rabbit from Alice in Wonderland!"
Chat Noir narrowly avoided another blow of the umbrella and drew his baton to jump below the Iron Lady.
"Never again would I make amalgamation with Fluff," he heard his Lady declare thanks to his overdeveloped hearing, which caused another giggle in him.
oOoOoOoOoOoOoOo
Weeks had passed over the patrols and the new amalgamations Marinette had to make. The young woman was relieved to finally arrive at the end of the Miracle Box: she couldn't stand the jokes of Chat Noir anymore.
Every time they got together for their joint patrol, he found new puns. His creativity impressed her in spite of herself, but she lacked the calm of their old patrols and classic puns.
Marinette was finally finishing embroidering the gift she was going to give to Miss Bustier for the birth of her baby, when Mullo floated up to her.
"It's my turn to go on patrol tonight!" He exclaimed impatiently.
The little mouse was really excited, but Marinette only managed to give him a tight smile.
"Yes," she whispered with a heavy heart.
She had been putting off the thought of getting Mullo out for weeks, because every time her stomach turned to stone. Indeed, since Chat Noir and she had faced Kwamis Hunter and she had become Multimouse, she was afraid of having to use Mullo again. She was afraid that the feline would understand everything if he saw Multibug, especially since he knew perfectly well that she was making amalgamations with the Kwamis of all the Miracle Box ...
Panic began to take hold of her when she heard Tikki's voice.
"Everything all right, Marinette?"
Her Kwami was looking at her with big blue eyes filled with concern. The young woman inhaled deeply to try to calm down.
"I'm worried, Tikki," she explained to the little ladybug. "I have the impression that… that…"
Panic regained control over her senses when the little ladybug put her paw on the cheek of the bluenette in a reassuring gesture.
"Everything's going to be fine, Marinette," she said calmly.
The young woman took several deep breaths before she managed to really calm down.
"You're right, Tikki," she said, really smiling. "And then, tonight, it's a solo patrol so the risks are minimal…"
oOoOoOoOoOoOoOo
It wasn't a night where Chat Noir was supposed to patrol but he needed to get out. He was suffocating in his room. His father had gone on a trip and the blond boy found himself alone in the large, empty and austere mansion. Certainly, the Gorilla was still present but he knew that his Lady was patrolling that evening and seeing her always cheered him up…
The feline was jumping from roof to roof, when he saw the familiar figure land on the Pont des Arts. A broad smile stretched his lips and he moved closer to his partner.
He understood immediately with what Kwami she had made the amalgam of the day when he saw the two little buns that adorned her head: it was with the Miraculous of the Mouse. He would be lying if he said he wasn't curious about this particular amalgamation. Besides, now that he thought about it, the gray suit with black polka dots seemed familiar to him…
"Good evening, Lady M…" he began before pausing, in a state of shock.
Lady Mouse had just turned to him, revealing the features of none other than Multimouse. He met her azure gaze, highlighted by the gray and red mask with black polka dots, and there read terror. All the revelation of what that involved then forced itself on him and all the pieces of the puzzle came together in his mind in a flash.
"Marinette," he breathed, totally upset to discover the identity of his Lady.
He heard her squeal like a mouse and a broad smile stretched his lips as immense joy made his heart explode with happiness.
"Looks like the cat has finally caught the mouse," he said smirk.
oOoOoOoOoOoOoOo
Multibug looked at Chat Noir in horror. Her nightmare came true: he finally understood who she was. Panic was building in her, slowly blurring her thoughts.
"No, I… I'm not…" she tried to protest after a while, but her protests didn't even sound believable to her own ears.
When she saw the broad triumphant smile that stretched the feline's lips and she began to tremble slightly.
"You were as cunning as a fox, Buginette," her partner said confidently. "But the cat is out of the bag now."
Multibug lowered her head and a tear began to roll down her cheek. She was a total failure. She herself had given her identity to her partner.
She was sinking into her dark, tumultuous thoughts when she felt her partner's finger rest under her chin. He exerted a gentle upward pressure on it to make her lift her head and she met his emerald feline gaze.
All traces of humor had deserted his eyes and she could read there a sweetness and a tenderness that made her tremble a little more.
"Don't be afraid, my Lady," he whispered reassuringly. "You can trust me with your secret."
He rubbed the back of his neck in a gesture familiar to the young woman.
"I can give you back my Miraculous, if that can reassure you," he added seriously.
Multibug's heart clenched in her chest at the thought but, before she could protest, he added in a tone she had never heard from him.
"Whatever your decision, I will always love you, my Purrincess."
The heroine's eyes widened in surprise and, when she saw him put his hand on his ring to slowly slide it down his finger, her heart raced in her chest and she cried out.
"NO ! I… I…"
Multibug felt panic cut her breath and her heart pound in her ears.
"I only want you as Chat Noir," she finally managed to tell him.
The smile he gave her was so bright that it lit up her features. He pushed all the doubts out of her mind and she knew what to say to him.
"Just tell me who you are. I think it's time to end the secrets between us."
oOoOoOoOoOoOoOo
"I'm Adrien Agreste."
The feline saw his partner's face crumble. Her eyes widened in horror as she opened her mouth and he saw her distinctly swallow before she asked, in a blank voice.
"Who are you?!"
Chat Noir looked down, his heart shattered. It was obvious she was going to react like that. What was he expecting? His Lady had never liked Chat Noir and Marinette had never been comfortable in Adrien's presence. How would knowing that they were one person make a difference?
"I'm Adrien Agreste," he repeated in a faint voice. "Sorry to disappoint you Multibug."
He turned away from her and drew his baton, ready to go to heal his wounds, when he felt his partner's hand rest on his arm to stop him.
"Wait, Kitten," she whispered in a trembling but soft voice. "You didn't disappoint me. You don't disappoint me. You will never disappoint me… "
His ears flattened with sadness on his head, he replied.
"I know you don't love me. Whoever I am."
The feline felt the grip of Multibug tighten on his arm.
"This is not true!" She protested in a voice charged with emotion.
Surprised, Chat Noir raised his head in search of the gaze of the young woman. The softness and tenderness he saw in her gaze filled her heart with hope. Could it be…
"I…" began the heroine in a weak and trembling voice. "I ... I ... I love you."
A sigh of relief escaped Multibug's chest as the feline's heart seemed to want to escape his chest.
"I have loved you since you gave me this umbrella," said the young woman in a more confident voice. "And I think I've loved Chat Noir for so long, even though I never wanted to admit it."
Before he had time to do anything, she had stood up on her tiptoes to place a light kiss on his lips. All restraint then deserted the feline, who enveloped the heroine in his arms to kiss her passionately.
After several long minutes, they finally parted, searching for their breath, and the feline chuckled softly.
"Finally, I was right," he breathed teasingly" you didn't resist my charm felinomenal…"
THE END
