Chapter 25
The Encounter
UA High School, Japan's most prestigious high school, assembled students from all hero course classes, including my class, to participate and represent Japan in the J-HOL Games bi-annual event. My friends and fellow UA students arrived in Athens and were surprisingly welcomed by a hound of media. After that, we went to the hotel but didn't stay long, and we went on sightseeing, each of us in a different, separate group. Our story continues…
"Usagi, wait up!" Arisa yelled as she chased after the bunny girl hopping until she stopped.
When she did, Arisa also stopped to catch her breath.
"Um, are you OK, Arisa?" Usagi asked.
Arisa didn't look too amused as she instead looked exhausted from all the running.
"I'm… just fine," she huffed, looking tired.
Usagi looked around and noticed that there were only them and not the other girls.
"Hey, where are the others?" She asked.
"What? You don't know? We got separated from them when you hopped away and chased that bus," Arisa stated.
Usagi placed hands on both her cheeks and gasped. "Holy Carrot! We did?!"
Arisa sweat-dropped to her reaction. "Yes, we did," she sighed. "Now, we have to find them. Somehow…"
They looked around, and unfortunately, they didn't know exactly where they are.
"Maybe we can ask someone for direction," Usagi suggested.
"Yeah, but I don't know how to speak Greek. Do you?" Arisa asked.
"Oh yeah," Usagi said, sticking her tongue out. "Oh well. We better just start looking around."
"We don't know how to speak Greek, but we can speak English if you prefer." Both girls jumped and turned around to confront two people approaching them.
Arisa gasped as she covered her mouth but slowly smiled.
"Oh my god! Gabriel! And Sadie!" Arisa ran up to them and gave them a big hug.
"Hey, Arisa! Long time no see!" Gabriel greeted happily.
"You look well, Arisa. How have you been?" Sadie asked.
"I feel great from seeing you two here! I had a feeling, but I didn't quite know if you guys would be here! So I guess that means LA Ultra High is Team USA!" Arisa exclaimed, but then her expression turned a bit sad when she realized something.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Gabriel asked, noticing her sudden change in mood.
"Well, I just realized that we are going to be a rival in the games," Arisa stated.
"Tch! You worry about that?" Sadie bleated. "Don't worry about it! Besides, it would be fun, and we are looking forward to what the people from UA High can do."
Arisa nodded chirpily. "Thank you, Sadie. Hearing that makes me feel better."
"Hey, hey, hey! Don't forget about me!" Usagi complained as she hopped around the trio to get their attention.
"Oh! Sorry about all that, Usagi," Arisa apologized. "Usagi, these two are my friends from LA Ultra High. Gabriel Martin and Sadie Foster."
Gabriel has short and slightly scruffy mahogany red hair with a few sangria streaks, navy blue eyes, and a little olive complexion. He is currently wearing a plain white shirt, a black unbuttoned vest, a red necktie worn loose, brown cargo shorts, and red sneakers.
Sadie has long blond hair braided from midway to the end and bangs parted to the left and secured by a butterfly-shaped barrette. Her eyes are coral pink and fair skin. She wears a white short-sleeved blouse with a point collar and gold-blue-white tartan fabric swatches on the sleeves, a skirt matching the fabric swatches, long white socks, and white Mary Jane shoes with gold soles. She also has butterfly feelers on her head, sticking out of her hair, and butterfly wings flapped down and stuck together.
"Hi, Gabriel and Sadie! My name is Sakura Tsubomi, but just call me Usagi!" Usagi introduced excitedly.
Gabriel chuckled. "It's nice to meet you, Usagi. We heard about you and your classmates from Arisa."
"Really?" Usagi asked.
"Yup," Sadie nodded. "Arisa talks about all kinds of things you did at UA High, and we also saw you at the sports festival."
"Holy Carrot! That's amazing!" Usagi awed.
"There it is!" Gabriel pointed. "She did the thing, Sadie."
"Did what?" Usagi wondered.
"Your line! Holy Carrot!" Gabriel gasped, just like how Usagi did it.
"Oh!" Usagi realized, then laughed. "Holy Carrot!"
Arisa smiled and enjoyed this moment very much, but then she noticed that her Smartphone was buzzing.
She took it out of her pocket, causing the others to notice her phone as she checked it.
"Hey, I got a text message from Felicia!" Arisa exclaimed.
"Really? What did she say?" Usagi asked.
"Felicia… Oh! That's your friend and classmate, who is another exchange student like you, but from London, right?" Sadie asked.
"That's right," Arisa nodded. "It says that she wants us to meet at a place called Syntagma Square."
"Where is that place?" Usagi furtherly asked as she pondered.
"We know that place," Sadie stated. "We've been there before, like couples of days ago."
"Yeah! We can take you both there to meet up with your friends. I guess meeting with them means that you two got lost, right?" Gabriel guessed, which made Usagi, and Arisa blushed, feeling a bit embarrassed.
"Um, yeah…" Arisa admitted.
"Well, at least we know where we have to go now. Let's go to this Syntagma Square!" Usagi declared as they began walking to the square.
"By the way, who else is here in Greece from LA Ultra High?" Arisa asked.
Gabriel and Sadie looked at each other and felt a bit uncomfortable to say it.
"Well… Let's just say you will meet them soon enough," Gabriel answered.
"What do you mean by that?" Arisa asked.
"They are someone you know, Arisa but not the kind of people you would like to be around with, let's just say," Sadie explained.
Arisa thought for a moment as she wondered who it could be.
- UA Girls' POV –
About almost an hour before, Felicia and the girls met with Felicia's old friends from London Hero Academy. They helped them with finding Usagi and Arisa, who got separated from the group.
They gathered again to see if any of them found the girls, but no luck.
"Where could they have gone?" Kendo asked, looking concerned.
"This city is huge. They could be anywhere," Momo noted.
"Finding them is a lot harder than we thought," Kendo stated.
"I hope they are alright, ribbit," Asui said.
"Me too," Ochaco agreed.
"Indeed. This is quite troublesome," Felicia said, trying to think of something.
"Blimey!" William gasped, surprising the girls. "I've got an idea!"
"What is it, William?" Cordelia asked.
He turned to Felicia. "Felicia, why don't you send a text to your friend, Arisa? Tell her to meet us at Syntagma Square. That way, it would be easier to find them if they are at the one spot."
"Good idea, Willaim! I will do that now." Felicia quickly took out her Smartphone and began typing a message to Arisa before she pressed the send button. "There. Done."
"Good," William nodded. "Now, we can just go there and meet them there."
"Then, let us get going to the Syntagma Square then," Momo said as they all headed there.
While they walked to the said town square, Felicia turned to her friends with a question. "Say, who else is also in Team UK?"
Williams and Cordelia glanced at each other before they said a word.
"Well, most of the team would be mostly third-year and second-year, like Cordelia and me, but there are few first-year students in our team," Williams said as the other girls heard what Willaims said to Felicia.
"Indeed. You know three of them," Cordelia stated.
"Three? I see…" Felicia said, pondering to herself. 'I wonder who it could be. Three people that I know of.'
- Group C's POV; Bakugo, Kirishima, and Kaminari –
The boys encountered a member of Team Italy named Boomba Pietro. He looked straight at them, looming over them menacingly.
Bakugo gleamed with a predatory look on his face as both his palms out. Kirishima and Kaminari were on edge, but the latter looked scared. In contrast, Kirishima looked nervous because he had a feeling that Bakugo and this mysterious man named Boomba of Team Italy will start a fight, and he could be the only one who can stop them.
"Pietro! Pietro!" Boomba snapped out and turned to his right as the boys also settled down and looked in the same direction.
"There you are. I've been looking for you," said a man who approached them.
This man wore a white robe-like cloth, which a priest or Church monk would wear, except that he also had a fancy red and green garment around his shoulder and laid down on the front with gold trim. His hair was a creamy white color with a bang split in a folk-like style that swept backward behind his hand. His blue eyes shined like a sapphire. He also carries a Holy Bible in his right hand.
"Father Santo," Boomba said.
"Ho?" Father Santo noticed the trio. "Who are these young gentlemen?"
"They are members of Team Japan. I just encountered them while I was sipping some tea att his cafe here," Boomba explained.
"Who is this guy?" Kaminari asked.
"He seems to know this Boomba guy. Maybe he is his teacher," Kirishima guessed.
"I see." Father Santo said and then turned to the trio. "Greeting, Team Japan. I am Father Santo, coach representative for Team Italy. You must be all from UA High, correct?"
"Yeah, what do you want?" Bakugo asked rudely.
Kirishima and Kaminari jumped in and covered Bakugo quickly, which the latter struggled in response. "Ah, what my friend meant to say is, um, hello! Yes, we are from UA High!"
"I see, I see! Well, it is a pleasure and honored to meet the members of Team Japan here in Athens!" Father Santo chirped. "Is there something I can help you with?"
"Yeah, that's right!" Kaminari agreed. "You see. We are kind of lost and ask for direction to the Stadium."
"Ah! Lo Stadio, I see," Father Santo nodded. "Sure. We can lead you the way."
"Thank you, sir!" Kirishima and Kaminari thanked and bowed politely.
Bakugo finally got their hands off from his mouth. "Hey, what the hell are you two doing?!"
The other two boys turned around and huddled over Bakugo.
"Sorry, Bakugo, but we can't let you say something… rash!" Kirishima stated.
"Yeah, man! Like, this Father Santo guy is pretty cool. So we should not get on his or anyone's bad side! Besides, he is taking us to the Stadium," Kaminari added.
"Also, if we do follow him to the Stadium, we will get to see more competitors. Isn't that what you wanted, Bakugo?" Kirishima asked persuasively.
Bakugo's expression changed to a much calmer look. "Hmph. Fine!"
Kirishima and Kaminari smiled and then turned back to Father Santo and his student. "Thank you, Father Santo! We are happy to accompany you!"
"Splendido!" Father Santo exclaimed. "Let us get going then. We can get to the Stadium by passing through Syntagma Square."
The boys followed Boomba and Father Santo. Father Santo smiled happily while Boomba looked serious while glancing at the boys, especially at Bakugo.
- Group A's POV; Midoriya, Kai, Todorki, and Monoma –
Group A of Team Japan, which consists of Izuki Midoriya, Kai Uno, Shoto Todoroki, and Neito Monoma, was at a local restaurant, escorted and invited by a member of Team UK, Solana Bell.
They were just having lunch together, and the boys of UA High School were enjoying their meal. They were worried about how the local food taste like since neither of them had ever eaten Greek food before, but it tasted great.
"These food taste great!" Midoriya chirped. "Thank you for inviting us to this nice restaurant, Solana-san," Midoriya gladly said.
The group was eating on the third floor of the restaurant, which was the balcony area. It was a vast area with a big white umbrella hovering over them to block and reflect sunlight. They could see the famous town square.
"I can see why you like this place," Todoroki said as he looked over the square. "The place has a good view."
Solana grinned and proud to hear that. "Your welcome, Midoriya, and Todoroki. I am glad to hear both of you agree with this place."
"It is quite nice," Kai admitted.
"Hmm, the view is a nice touch, and the food here isn't that bad, but I had something better. Did you all know that this food in Greece is…" Monoma chattered on and on, but nobody pays any attention to him.
"Does this lad talk a lot?" Solana asked, looking displeased.
"We don't know much about him since he is neither in Midoriya and Todoroki's class nor mine," Kai whispered back. "However, yes, he does talk a lot. Mostly about how much he and his class are better than our classes."
"I see. So, all of you are from a different class?" Solana questioned.
Midoriya nodded. "That's right. Todoroki and I are from the hero course Class 1-A. Kai here is from Class 1-L, and Monoma-kun is from Class 1-B."
"1-L? Not 1-C?" Solana said in a confused tone.
"You see, apparently there are a lot more students who passed the entrance exam to join the UA's hero course this year, so the school decided to have another third hero class, and that class is happened to be my class, and we are the smallest in the school," Kai explained.
"Ah, I see! At the beginning of the sports festival, I remember that one of the MCs, Speed Girl, mentioned it a couple of times during the festival," Solana remembered. "Interesting."
"Though it is interesting and a bit of surprise that the whole world knows about our school's sports festival," Midoriya commented.
"Why, yes, of course! From the world's perspective, UA High School is the best hero school in all of Japan. At least, according to the last year's best school of the world ranking," Solana exclaimed.
"Wait. There is the best school of the world ranking?!" Midoriya gasped.
"Indeed. And your school, UA High, is in the top 10," Solana noted. "Though, I've noticed that there has been a bit of decrease in popularity for your school."
"It is?" Midoriya said questionably.
"Why is that?" Kai asked.
"I am not quite sure, but I assume that it has to do with the recent stuff that had happened to your school, right?" Solana said with a question in return.
Midoriya, Todoroki, and Kai knew what she was referring to. It was true that their school, UA High School, has been attacked by the villains lately, and some of them were involved with the Hosu City incident. It had been one thing after another, so it was expected that the school's reputation had been affected negatively. They just didn't know that the world has kept an eye on what's been happening at their school.
"Well, don't worry about it. I still think your school is a lovely place. It is not your fault the villains attacked it. That's their fault. As long as your school keeps up with the spirit strong, it will be fine," Solana said, firmly at the last statement.
Midoriya grinned, and they nodded. "Thank you, Solana-san. That's very kind of you to say that."
"Anytime," Solana grinned.
Suddenly, a bolt of lightning flashed, striking down at the square, and thunder roared nearby, causing everyone at the balcony, including the group, to cover their ears.
"What was that?!" Midoriya gasped.
"It was thunder!" Todoroki exclaimed as he covered his ears.
"In the middle of a clear, sunny day?! How is that possible?" Monoma asked as another flash of lightning and thundered roared.
"It can't be!" Solana ran over to the rail and looked down at the commotion going on at the square.
Kai noticed what she was doing, and suddenly, she ran off.
"Solana! Where are you going?!" Kai shouted, but she ignored him and just ran off.
"Solana-san?!" Midoriya said as he chased after her. Todoroki, Kai, and Monoma followed after Midoriya, who went to pursue after Solana Bell.
"Wait up, Solana-san!" Midoriya caught up to her when she stopped. Midoriya also stopped and saw the scene.
There were trees fallen and some cracks on the ground.
"Gah!" Something fell and crashed onto the ground.
"Watch out, Solana-san!" Midoriya grabbed Solana quickly to protect her from the dust and debris flying out.
"Midoriya!" She gasped.
Kai, Todoroki, and Monoma have arrived at the scene and saw the horrible scene going on.
"What's going on here?!" Monoma exclaimed.
"Look over there!" Kai pointed as the cloud of dust disappeared.
What fallen from the sky revealed to be a person, and that person had a familiar face.
"Bakugo!" Kai and Monoma gasped.
"What?! Kacchan?!" Midoriya gasped. "Kacchan!"
The boy got up and looked to be surprised when he saw Midoriya and others. "Deku?! Why the hell are you here?!"
"What's going on here, Kacchan?!" Midoriya asked.
Before the rough boy answered back, a shadowy tentacle slammed on the ground as it made like a massive footstep of a giant stomping around. They looked up to see and confronted a vast shadowy figure with a round head and one big orange eye. It didn't have feet, but it had multiple black tentacles.
"Wh-What is that?!" Monoma gasped as he stepped back a bit.
"It's a villain!" Todoroki noted.
Suddenly, lightning struck down on the giant shadowy figure as it faltered back, but the boys soon realized that it was just lightning struck down. A person was the one who struck down with a hammer radiating electrical energy.
The said person landed on the ground in front of the shadow giant. He stood tall, like around little over six feet tall. He wore a navy-blue T-shirt with lightning for the emblem on his backside, short gray pants with pockets, and black shoes. His hair was dirty blond and long enough to reach his shoulder, and his body was physically fit.
"Hloridi!" Solana exclaimed. "What the bloody thing you're doing here?!"
"Hloridi?" Midoriya repeated.
The said person glanced over his shoulder. "Ah, Solana, just in time! I would need a bit of help here! The more, the merrier."
"What are you talking about? Just what is going on here?" Solana demanded.
"Solana-san, do you know him?" Midoriya asked.
Solana nodded. "His name is Hloridi Odinson, and he is my classmate," Solana answered.
Name: Hloridi Odinson. Year: First-Year. Quirk: Electrical Absorption. He can absorb electricity into his body. He can release the stored energy by transferring them to his support gear weapon, Mjolnir. He is like the Norse God of Thunder!
"Give me strength, Lad Kaminari!" Hloridi raised his arm when another lightning or rather electrical energy zapped at Hloridi's hammer as it absorbed the energy.
"Kaminari?" Midoriya and the UA boys looked over to Kaminari, who was standing nearby.
"Midoriya, Kai, and Todoroki?! You guys are here, too?" Kaminari looked surprised while releasing his electrical energy.
Suddenly, the shadow giant started crying in pain as something was attacking him. They noticed that something was firing at it, but Kai looked up and saw that his familiar dragon boy was striking at the giant.
"Yuki Drago!" Kai exclaimed as the said boy noticed them from the sky.
"Kai Uno, Izuku Midoriya, and Shoto Todoroki," Yuki said before he re-focused at the villain.
"Hey! I am here too, you know!" Monoma complained.
"Stay out of my way, Deku! This shadow bastard is mine!" Bakugo roared as he flew off.
"Oh! The Lad Bakugo is excited! I shall accompany you with my trusty hammer, Mjolnir!" Hloridi exclaimed as he spun his hammer around and then flew off, or instead, the hammer dragged as he held on.
"I don't know exactly what's going on, but at this rate, we need to stop this villain from rampaging," Todoroki stated as he activated his ice power.
"Right!" Midoriya agreed as he got into position with green lighting sparked around his body. "Full Cowling!"
"Kai, take Monoma and Solana-san out of here! It's too dangerous!" Midoriya asked him.
"What?! You think I cannot handle a villain like this. I won't back down from a…." Monoma was interrupted when the shadow giant slapped Bakugo and Hloridi to the ground. "On the second thought, this is all on you!"
"Um, hey, where are you going?!" Kai said as he saw Monoma ran off.
"Forget about him! He has no spirit, which makes him a coward, but at least he won't be harmed," Solana stated. "I will stay and fight!"
"What?" Midoriya said, looking confused.
Solana suddenly stood firmly next to Midoriya as she began charging her body.
"Lion's Aura!" A red aura of a lion appeared over her and covered her body. The radiating aura surprised both Midoriya and Kai.
Name: Solana Bell. Year: First-Year. Quirk: Animal Aura. She can increases her human agility by using her feelings and spirit to create an aura of animal that she thinks of around her. Depending on the type of animal her aura takes form grants her that animal's strength and unique ability, like the lion's strength or cheetah's speed.
She suddenly rushed at the shadowy giant and slashed it with her aura-enveloped arm that looked like a lion's claw. The shadow giant winced in response to Solana's sudden attack.
Midoriya watched this, and he thought it was impressive. Of course, he couldn't explain how her Quirk works, but seeing how Solana fights in person showed him that she could fight well and knew what to do. Like his classmates at UA, she had more experience than him and fought well. With that kind of skill and experience, she could be part of UA High.
Suddenly, the giant's tentacle was going for Midoriya while he stared at Solana in space.
"Midoriya, watch out!" Kai shouted.
Midoriya snapped out of thought and saw the black tentacle coming towards him. He quickly noticed and dodged out of the way before it crashed to the ground. Kai, on the other hand, hid behind a flipped car.
"Kai!" Kai heard someone calling him and turned in the voice's direction.
"Arisa?!" Kai noticed as he saw Arisa, Ochaco, and a kid standing behind a tree.
Kai looked back at the villain, who Midoriya and others occupied. Kai took this as a chance as he ran towards them quickly to meet up with the trio. He did it safely without being noticed.
"Kai, you are alright!" Arisa stated.
"Why are you all here, and just what is going on here? How did this all happen?" Kai asked.
"Well..." Arisa began.
- Arisa's Group's POV –
"Is this the place?" Usagi asked as she looked around. She, Arisa, and Arisa's old friends/classmates from LA Ultra High have arrived about 10 minutes before the incident at the famous Syntagma Square.
"According to the Joogle Map App, this is the place," Arisa stated, looking at her phone's map app.
"Now we just have to find where your friends are or just wait around until they find us," Gabriel suggested.
"It's probably best to stay put. Maybe we can stand somewhere around we're most noticeable," Sadie said.
"That's a good idea, Sadie," Arisa said before she turned, and her eyes widened when she saw Usagi be nowhere. "Huh? Hey, where is Usagi? Don't tell me she hops away again…."
"I'm right over here, Arisa!" Usagi shouted, catching her attention as she was standing near a fountain.
"Usagi!" Arisa and her friends walked over to the fountain to meet up with the rabbit girl. "Don't move on your own, Usagi. You will get lost again if you do."
"Hee, hee. Sorry about that," Usagi teased as she stuck her tongue out and rubbed the back of her head. "But, I found this nice fountain. We can just chill here while we wait for Felica and others to come and find us. It is most noticeable."
"You should text her just in case to let her know that we are here," Sadie suggested.
"Good idea," Arisa agreed as she began typing the following message to Felicia.
"So Arisa, while we wait, I would like to catch up more with you. How are you doing at UA High? What is it like?" Gabriel asked.
"U… A?" The gang jumped and turned around to be confronted by a strange man in a black coat and hat. The hat covered most of his face, but you could barely see his glowing red eyes and shaggy black beard.
"Um, hi?" Usagi greeted, feeling a bit creep out by the appearance of this strange man.
"You are… from UA?" The man eerily asked.
Gabriel and Sadie stood firmly in front of Arisa and Usagi as they looked suspicious at the man, but Arisa decided to speak up.
"That's right, sir. My friend here and I are from UA High School in Japan," Arisa admitted.
"Are you our fan or something? Did you come to see us in the J-HOL Games?" Usagi asked, looking positive.
"U..A…. U…A…. Members of UA…. Members of Team Japan…. Must be destroyed!" Suddenly, the man began screaming as his hat was removed and his body started to increase in size. His skin turned dark into it became complete darkness. His red eyes formed into a single giant orange look, and all of his human traits, like the mouth, nose, hairs, and ears, have disappeared.
The man became a shadow giant with a round head like a blob and multiple black tentacles like an octopus.
Arisa, Usagi, Gabriel, and Sadie gasped as their eyes widened. So did the random bystanders nearby at the square.
"Είναι κακός! Τρέξιμο!" A Greek man yelled, causing panic as everyone ran away from the shadow giant.
The shadow giant roared, causing a solid sound wave that blew away trees and even made nearby cars stop moving and crash. Then, the giant began attacking Arisa and others.
"Watch out!" Gabriel yelled as they dodged out of the way.
"Holy Carrot! What is up with this guy?!" Usagi gasped.
"I don't know, but!" Sadie looked around to notice some other bystanders trapped and afraid to move. "We need to get some of these people around here to safety! This guy is dangerous, and he seems to be after you, Arisa, and your friend!"
"But why?!" Arisa asked.
"I don't know, but I'm gonna let him hurt you or anyone else!" Gabriel took out a small pocketknife and cut himself to bleed.
"Woah! Dude, why did you do that for?" Usagi exclaimed.
"Let me show you a bit of my Quirk power, Usagi!" Gabriel responded with a smirk as the blood from his self-inflicted cut solidified around his arm, turning into a blade. Then, he went and rush towards the giant to attack.
Name: Gabriel Martin. Year: First-Year. Quirk: Solid Blood. This power allows him to solidify his own blood or other living things' blood. The hardness of the blood depends on the concentration of minerals and irons in it. He can also use the solidified blood as improvised weapon. However, if he uses his blood too much, it won't be bad for his physical health.
He slashed the shadow giant with his solidified blood blade, but it didn't have too much effect. However, it did make it catch its attention. The shadow giant used one of its tentacles to grab Gabriel.
"Gah!" He gasped.
"Gabriel!" Arisa exclaimed.
"Usagi, Arisa!" The two girls looked at Sadie. "You two save the scared people! I will help Gabriel!"
Sadie quickly flapped out her wings, revealing them to be beautiful wings of a swallowtail butterfly. The wings were dark brown with two rows of yellow spots near the margin of the upper branches, a row of blue dots near the inner lining of the lower wings, and a red eyespot near the edge on each of the lower wings.
Name: Sadie Foster. Year: First-Year. Quirk: Swallowtail. Due to her mutant gene, she is able to fly like a swallowtail butterfly. She also uses the feelers on her head for senses and create lights in the darkness.
She flew up into the air to save Gabriel from the villain's grip.
Arisa and Usagi went around to get the scared bystanders to a safer place away from the villain, but Arisa looked worried as she glanced back at how her friends were doing. She saw Sadie pulled Gabriel as she put all her strength into it. Gabriel helped by using his solidified blade of blood to cut the tentacle off, which did work.
"Arisa!" Arisa turned back forward and saw her friends and classmates from UA coming toward her, including two unfamiliar faces.
"Felicia! Girls!" Arisa exclaimed.
- Felicia Group's POV –
Just about five minutes ago, Felicia, the girls of UA High, and her old friends from London Hero Academy, William, and Cordelia, were heading to the Syntagma Square. Just then, Felicia noticed her Smartphone rang, indicating that she got a new message.
She took it out and checked it briefly. "Oh, good. It looks like Arisa and others have arrived at the square. It says here that she's waiting at the fountain."
"That sounds very reliable," Jiro noted. "That way, it would be more noticeable to find them."
"That's good to hear, ribbit," Asui said.
"I'm looking forward to meeting your other friends, Felicia," Cordelia said.
"Me too," Willaim added.
However, that was when many random bystanders ran past them, screaming and panicking as if they were getting away from something.
"What's going on?!" Ochaco surprised.
"Something is not right!" Kendo exclaimed.
"Let's check it out!" Momo declared.
The group moved forward as quickly as possible to find out what's going on. Finally, they arrived at the supposed meeting place, and there they see a giant shadowy figure fighting against two people. They also noticed Arisa and Usagi helping scared people to get away from the fight.
"Arisa!" Felica yelled.
Arisa turned and noticed her friends and the two people she had not met referred to Willaim and Cordelia.
"Felicia!" Arisa exclaimed. "I am glad to see you and girls."
"What's going on here?" Jiro asked. "Is that a villain?!"
Arisa nodded. "It is! He just suddenly started to attack us! Could you help me with these people to get to safety?"
"Yeah! He just like attack us for no apparent reason!" Usagi chimed in.
"Felicia, you and your friends help the people. Cordelia and I will help those two kids fighting the villain," Willaim decided as Cordelia agreed with him.
"William, are you sure?" Felicia asked.
Willaim gave an assured grin. "Hey, don't worry. What kind of a gentleman am I if I don't help people? I've been training for three years to prepare for something like this."
"Felicia, go now and get some help from pro heroes. After that, we will do our things here," Cordelia ordered.
She nodded. "OK. Be careful, you two. I will come back as soon as possible."
"Please help. My friends, Gabriel and Sadie, are fighting that thing!" Arisa exclaimed.
Willaim and Cordelia nodded as they ran into the fight scene while the girls helped the local citizens safely. However, the shadow giant noticed the group and used his tentacles to attack straight at them.
"Oh no! Watch out, girls!" Willaim shouted as Cordelia quickly reacted by turning her arms into the water and instantly created a wall of ice to block the attack, but one of the tentacles slammed the ice and caused it to separate the group.
Fortunately, the girls jumped out of the way in a different direction.
"Is everyone OK?" Kendo asked as she got up.
"Yes, I think so," Jiro said.
"Ribbit…" Asui nodded.
"So am I," Momo said as she assisted the citizen with his feet and then looked around. "Oh no. Where are Ochaco-san and Arisa-san?"
"I think they got separated from us!" Asui noted.
"Oh no!" Usagi gasped.
"Girls, we got to get these people to safety first!" Kendo stated, reminding them what to do at the moment. The girls agreed and continued in getting the citizens to safety first and worried about their friends later.
Indeed, Arisa and Ochaco got separated with a kid, a young Greek boy.
"Arisa, are you alright?" Ochaco said.
"Yes, I am fine. Just with a minor bruise," Arisa said as she held a kid in her arm. "Are you alright, little boy?"
"Φοβάμαι. Θέλω να δω τη μαμά" The boy cried.
Arisa and Ochaco didn't quite understand what the boy said, but judging from his cry and expression, they knew that he was afraid and wanted to see his mom.
"Don't worry. We will get to your mom," Arisa said. "Let's get out of here first."
"Quick! Let's hide behind that tree over there!" Ochaco pointed. The girls took the little boy over to the tree and hid there for safety temporarily.
"The villain shouldn't notice us here for now," Ochaco stated.
"I hope so," Arisa said, looking worried. Unfortunately, though, she was more worried about Gabriel and Sadie than her safety.
Meanwhile, Gabriel and Sadie were having a hard time dealing with the shadow giant.
"Damn! This guy is tough!" Gabriel complained.
"Don't give up! There's got to be some kind of weak point it has!" Sadie stated.
"OK. Where can we find it?" He asked.
The shadow giant looked and used his tentacle to slam on the duo, but then Willaim jumped in and blocked the attack. His body had entirely turned into an iron body, literally.
"Need a hand, young children?" Willaim asked as he pushed the tentacle away.
"Woah! Who are you? A pro hero?" Gabriel asked.
Willaim grinned to hear that. "Soon to be. My name is Willam Power, and I am a friend of Felica Marvel, a friend to a young lady named Arisa."
"You know Arisa?" Sadie asked.
"Partially," Cordelia joined them. "We heard it from Felica herself."
"Oh, so you both are who we are supposed to meet! Well, it is nice to see you both join in," Gabriel said as he took a stance.
"Indeed," Willaim and Cordelia said at the same time.
They stood firmly at the villain who towered over them. Then, suddenly, something exploded behind its head, making it wince in pain as it looked back. Four of them were a bit surprised but soon found out that someone else joined in the fight.
"Die, you stupid shadow blob!" Bakugo screamed as he flew around and attacked with his Explosion Quirk.
Suddenly, a flash of lightning struck down at the shadow giant, but it wasn't just lighting. Instead, a single person landed on the top of the giant with a hammer slammed on the top of the giant's head.
The shadow giant cried in pain as the person jumped off and stood in front of the four people.
"Cordelia, Willaim! I didn't expect you two to be here. Am I late for the party?" The young, blond buffed man asked.
"Hloridi!" Willaim gasped.
"Blimey! Hloridi, what are you doing here?" Cordelia asked.
"What do you think? I am here to save the day, of course! Come on. Let us fight together!" Hloridi declared as he turned back to the villain.
At the same time, Felica, Jiro, Asui, Kendo, Usagi, and Momo took the citizens safely out of the square.
Felica turned back and planned to head back until Kendo stopped her.
"Where are you going, Felicia?" Kendo asked.
"I need to go back and help William and Cordelia," Felica sternly answered.
"Holy Carrot?! What are you saying, Felicia?!" Usagi asked.
"I need to go and help my friends!"
"It's too dangerous, Felicia!" Asui warned. "We should let them handle until the authority comes."
"Asui-san is right, Felicia!" Momo stated. "Even though your feeling is understandable, it is too dangerous!"
"I don't bloody care! My friends need my help!" Felica argued.
"Momo, everyone!" The girls turned over to see Iida, Mineta, Eli, Yuki Drago, and Monoma.
"Monoma?" Kendo was surprised to see Monoma with UA members.
"You guys, what are you all doing here?" Jiro asked.
"We should be asking the same thing," Iida said. "What's going on?"
"Long story short, a villain is attacking in the square right now. We were supposed to meet Arisa and Usagi with a friend from Arisa's school," Kendo explained.
"But then this random dude turned into a giant blob of darkness and attacked us!" Usagi exclaimed.
"What?! That means a villain attack!" Iida boomed.
"That's horrible!" Mineta exclaimed, feeling scared.
"But where are Arisa and Ochaco?" Yuki Drago asked.
The girls reminded that the two girls weren't them.
"We got separated when the villain attacked us. We managed to dodge out of the way, but Ochaco and Arisa…." Jiro said with a regretful, worried look.
Yuki Drago looked calmly when he flapped his wings out and then flew off into the square.
"Drago, where are you going?!" Iida yelled.
"Yuki!" Felica shouted.
Yuki Drago completely ignored them, but Felica knew that he flew off to save Arisa and Ochaco and possibly stop the villain.
'Yuki… Please be careful!' Felicia thought.
- Present Time –
"I see. So that's what had happened," Kai said. "Well, it is not safe to here. So while that villain is distracted, let's get out of here."
Arisa and Ochaco nodded. They began to move quickly and quietly. Arisa carried the little boy, which made her move slightly slower, but Ochaco and Kai moved with her while others were fighting the villain.
The villain was getting attack at every corner. However, the villain was persistent, and it didn't look like it was giving up anytime soon. Then, it noticed Kai and the girls getting away. So the villain started to pursue them.
"Yikes! It noticed us!" Ochaco cried.
"Keep moving!" Kai yelled.
Bakugo looked displeased and angry at the villain. "Hey! Where the hell does you think you're going!" Bakugo yelled as he flew toward the villain's face and exploded it.
It stopped the villain, but it used one of its tentacles to grab his foot and throw him away.
"Kacchan!" Midoriya yelled, but Yuki Drago quickly grabbed Bakugo before he hit the ground.
Midoriya looked relieved to see his childhood friend saved, despite that friend didn't like being held.
"Let me go, you dragon bastard!" Bakugo yelled. Yuki Dragon reluctantly let go of Bakugo, dropping him off on the ground as Kirishima and Kaminari, who looked a bit derpy after using his Quirk, joined the explosive boy.
"Hey Bakugo, are you OK, man?" Kirishima asked.
"Hmph! Whatever! I am going back and beat that giant blob bastard!" Bakugo declared as he was about to blast away, but he winced as his arm was fatigued from overusing his Quirk.
Kirishima noticed it. "Relax, Bakugo. Let the others handle it. The pro hero should be coming soon… hopefully."
"No, Bakugo is right. We need to defeat that villain. It is moving toward Kai and others!" Yuki Drago exclaimed as he flew off.
"What?!" Midoriya gasped as he moved on his own.
"Midoriya, wait!" Solana changed his aura to a yellow color, which now showed a cheetah. "Cheetah's Aurra! Cheetah Dash!"
Solana ran to chase after Midoriya. Meanwhile, Kai and the girls with the little boy ran as fast as possible from the villain, but it was getting closer and closer until it was close enough to reach them with its tentacles.
Kai, Arisa, and Ochaco glanced back in fear as the tentacles came very close to them, but suddenly, two walls of ice appeared between them and the black tentacles. It was the work of Todoroki and Cordelia.
"Shoto!" Arisa looked relieved to see her friend.
"Come on, let's go!" Todoroki joined them.
"This way!" Cordelia led them as the wall of ice they created gave them time to get away.
However, the villain persisted as it used its tentacles to crash through the wall of ice. Willaim and Hloridi jumped it and blocked the tentacles, but the villains' other tentacles grabbed them and swung them away.
It continued to chase after them.
'At this rate, it's going to catch us! I… I need to do it! I need to use my Quirk!' Kai stopped while the others continued running.
"Kai, why are you stopping?!" Arisa hesitantly asked as she stopped and looked back.
Kai was charging up his fist as it glowed in green energy until it became scorching red. Kai roared as he was about to punch at the villain, but then suddenly, something crashed in between them and the villain.
A massive cloud of specks of dust rose until it dissipated. They soon found out that it was caused by a mysterious person who just jumped in.
Midoriya and Solana stopped and saw what just happened. Yuki Drago also joined in and stopped in midair to see the mysterious fighter who just appeared out of nowhere.
The said person who stood in front of the villain was a young boy who looked around the same age as the UA members, except he looked slightly taller. Possibly near 6 feet tall. He had short black hair with a bit of bang that pointed forward on the front above his forehead. The mysterious boy had blue eyes, fair skin, and a nice built body. He wore a costume that looked oddly similar to All Might's Golden Age costume, except the blue color was replaced with a black and yellow diamond at its center instead.
"Who are you?" Kai asked as everyone stared at this person.
The boy smirked and stepped forward. "Do not worry, citizens! Everything is fine now that I am here. The future successor of All Might is here, Ben Glory!"
"Ben?!" Arias gasped.
"Arisa, you know this guy?" Ochaco asked.
"Future successor of All Might?!" Midoriya thought.
Solana and Yuki Drago looked curious to this young man who appeared to join the fight.
The villain began attacking with all of its tentacles at Ben Glory. Ben smirked as he grabbed all the tentacles quickly, which impressed everyone. He pulled the villain down and then promptly punched it right in the face.
"Los Angeles Smash!" He gave a strong uppercut in the eye, causing the villain to wince in pain until it squinted and decreased its size a bit.
"Look at that! It got a bit smaller when he hit its eye!" Solana stated.
"That must mean its eye is its weakness!" Midoriya stated as he turned to Yuki. "Yuki! Fire at his eye!"
Yuki Drago agreed as he flew around and started breathing fire at the villain's face.
The fire burned around his eye, causing it to tear up and making it smaller. Ben Glory jumped and gave a round of punches at the face before it gave a strong one that created a strong sound wave.
The villain tumbled over as Midoriya and Solana dodged out of the way. After that, the villain continued to decrease in size until it turned entirely back into its original human form.
"And the winner is me, Ben Glory! The day is saved!" Ben exclaimed as he raised his right arm with a fist pump in the air.
About a minute later, the police force and local pro heroes have finally arrived. Everyone who was involved in the fight gathered nearby together. The local medics took the citizens who got hurt care, and some of them were taken to the hospital for further treatment. The UA members reunited with each other, and soon their teachers have arrived at the scene.
"Kai, my sweet baby brother!" Speed Girl hugged his young brother tightly close to her chest. "I was so worried!"
"Get off of me!" Kai moaned under her chest while Mineta watched enviously at Kai.
"All of you," Eraser Head spoke up, looking quite upset. "What were you all doing? I know I said I allowed you all to go on your own for free time, but this isn't how I pictured it. Not only that but almost half of you were involved in fighting the villain!"
Everyone felt terrible, especially the ones who got involved in the fight.
"Mr. Aizawa, at least the students are safe now. Only a few of them have minor bruises, and none of them have any critical injury," Ms. Heal assured.
"That isn't the point, Ms. Heal. These lot got into a villain fight without even considering the consequence of their action," Aizawa argued.
"That's true, Eraser Head," Midnight chimed in. "However, they did manage to stop the villain, and they did it in self-defense. Of course, I am not saying this so that they won't be unpunished for this."
"Excuse me." Team Japan turned over and looked at a man who called to them. Father Santo of Team Italy, Boomba Pietro, his student, and a team member.
"I am sorry to interrupt you, but do you happen to these children's teachers?" Father Santo asked.
"That's right," Eraser Head replied.
"Ah, I see! Well, sorry, but let me introduce myself. My name is Father Santo. I am, like you, a teacher. I am a coach representative for Team Italy," Father Santo introduced. "While I should not meddle with other's affairs, I couldn't help, but I must speak out for some of your students for doing what they did here."
"What do you mean, Father Santo?" Speed Girl asked as she let go of Kai, allowing him to breathe again.
"For you see, it is partially my fault that some of your students got involved in the villain attack. One of your students suddenly jumped into the scene. I believe his name is Bakugo," Father Santo stated.
Bakugo's eyes twitched as he mumbled something angrily to himself. Kirishima and Kaminari gulped nervously.
"Bakugo did?" Eraser Head said.
Father Santo nodded. "Yes, he did. However, it wasn't his fault to jump in. I was with him and his friends, along with one of my students. He and others just jumped in when we came close to this square and saw the villain attacking. My student here and I didn't react quickly enough to stop them, and even if I can stop them, I don't have a Quirk to restrain them or anything."
The teachers and staff nurse of UA stared at Father Santo as he stared back. The UA members looked back and forth, wondering what would happen to them, and seemed quite confused. Are they going to be continued in scolding or something else?
"What's going on? Are we getting punished?" Usagi whispered.
"Let's just watch and see," Eli whispered back.
"It's fine, Shota. All your students are safe, and the local police and citizens appreciate what they did." They jumped a bit and turned to face a woman approaching them.
Some of the guys blushed, especially Mineta, who widely opened his mouth as he drew a bit with hearts showing in his eyes. The girls were also surprised, maybe lesser than the guys' reactions.
The woman was tall and attractive with long, velvet red hair as one bang covers her right eye. Her left eye was green and had purple eyeshadow for makeup, including red lips. She wore a black skintight costume with matching pants tucked in the black high heels. A white web is imprinted all over the suit for the design pattern. She also wore a white utility belt.
"Tatiana," Aizawa said.
"It has been too long, Shota, and I see you are doing well. I had a feeling you would be the coach again for Team Japan, but I was surprised when I heard that the team this time is comprised of just first-year students."
"Who is this chick? She's, um…." Kaminari gulped.
"She's Madam Widow!" Midoriya exclaimed, surprising the rest of the UA students.
"Madama Widow?" Ochaco repeated.
"She's one of the top Pro Heroes in Europe! Originally born in Russia but raised in Greece, she performed many covert missions to stop multiple terrorist attacks before they happened and saved many lives and….!" Midoriya muttered.
"That's enough, Midoriya," Aizawa strictly stated at him, which indeed stopped him muttering.
Madam Widow grinned. "Don't worry. I love a knowledgeable fan. I appreciate it."
"So, Tatiana, about what you said…." Midnight reminded her.
"Yes. I was going to say that your students are off the hook. Due to the upcoming J-HOL Games, the local security has been tight, but this incident was unexpected. However, your students and some others, who are also part of the games, are safe and haven't caused any damage at all in the Syntagma Square so that they can be let go," Madama Widow explained.
Hearing that made the UA students looked relieved.
"Thank you, Tatianna," Aizawa said reluctantly.
"No problem. I will see you around, my love," Tatianna said, leaving away.
Everyone, except for Aizawa, gasped when they heard what Madam Widow said at the end there. Is Eraser Head and Madam Widow….?
"Well, at least that settles it. My student here, and I will get going. Enjoy the rest of blissful day and I hope to see you around, Team Japan," Father Santo stated as he and his student, Boomba, left. Booma glanced at each of the UA students before he walked away closely behind Father Santo.
Fortunately, Team Japan got away and didn't get scolded, but the next time they go out, they have to ask the teacher's permission or go with them, no exception. After that, they all went back to the hotel and rest up for the night.
Good evening, everyone. This is one hot week for the end of June this year, and we are entering July soon. Can you believe that the first half of the year is over? Man, time flies...
This chapter introduces a lot of new OCs, and show off Quirks for some of them, including few that appeared in the last chapter. First off are Gabriel Marten and Sadie Foster, created by TGRickel. FYI, TGRickel is wirting his own MHA fanfiction, which uses his OC, Arisa Kawasaki and johanvannguard's OC, Felicia Marvel as the protagonists and tell their perspective in their life as UA students and part of Class 1-L, basing off my Line of Good and Evil story. Please check it out and leave a review for his story for support.
We also get to see two new OCs, created by yours truly. First is Hloridi Odinson. As you know, this character is the MHA version of Thor, basing the Norse God of Thunder with the same name as well as the Marvel comics character with the same name as well. This version of Thor or Hloridi is a bit different when it comes to his power, but still related with lightning as the original Norse God is. Hloridi uses a support gear weapon that shapes of a hammer, which he names it Mijolnir, just like the same name used by the Norse God Thor. Hloridi is first-year student, but he is a year older than Felicia and a bit of backstory is that he was pushed back a grade for a reason. What that reason is, well you have to find that out later in the story.
Then, we have another OCs who appeared near the end. His name is Ben Glory (created by yours truly), and he is going to be an interesting character and going to be a main rival to Team Japan. How so? Well, you have to find out by following this story and read it as it progresses.
Finally, I would like to introdice Tatianna aka Madam Widow. She will be bit of important character in the main plot, and she has sort of connection with Eraser Head. You will see more about her and her "history" with Eraser Head later in future chapters.
