Ellie sat down against a tree as she thought. So much had happened in the last few months and it was all overwhelming to her.

"You know, your other moms an idiot." She says, putting a hand on her stomach.

"Ouch. That hurts."

Ellie looked up as she heard Abby. Part of her was still mad at her and she had half a mind to kill her, but the other half was just grateful she was alive. Abby slowly made her way over to Ellie, and Ellie moved over so Abby could sit. Abby sighed as she sat down beside her.

"What are you doing here?"

"Well, I figured I would come and apologize. I wasn't thinking when I just ran off like that and it seemed like a good idea at the time." Abby says, putting an arm around her shoulders.

"Yeah, well it wasn't. None of that was a good idea and you just forced us to run. You didn't even give any explanation. Do you know how that feels?"

Abby sighed, "probably not good."

"No, it wasn't good! I wanted to help you, but I made sure that Lev and Amaria got somewhere safe first! Only then did I come back and you're lucky I got to you in time!" She exclaims, sighing in exasperation.

"You're right and I'm sorry. I was incredibly grateful that you came back for me. My main concern was the baby and that was what I was concerned about above anything else. Making sure that you were both safe."

Ellie sighed, "I know but if you're not safe then I can't be safe."

"Alright then let's both promise to try our best to stop being reckless. Deal?"

"Alright, deal."

"Now can I have a kiss?"

Ellie scoffed, "no. I'm still mad at you."

"Oh, come on, please? I could die in like, the next five minutes."

"You're so dramatic." She chuckles, finally giving her a kiss on the lips.

"Yeah, but you love me."

Ellie rolled her eyes as the two started walking back towards Lev and Amaria, who were making a fire.

"Hey, are you guys, okay?" Amaria asks, the two looking up at them.

"Yeah, we worked everything out. We're fine now."

"So, what should we do now?" Lev asks as he finished setting up the fire.

"Well, we should stick to the woods until we get into Ohio. Right now, there are too many patrols out for us to stick to the main roads. Once we're in Ohio, I don't think they'll be trying to look for us." Abby says, looking around to make sure they weren't being watched.

"Once we get to Ohio, we'll keep going East. Then we'll be in Pittsburgh but once we're there, we need to keep our guards up in case hunters are around." Ellie says, sitting on the nearby tree stump.

"let's get to bed. I'll take first watch and then Lev." Abby says, going to sit on a log, "then Lev can have a watch too."

"No, put me on a watch."

Abby sighed, "El, no. You need to rest as much as possible. It's not up for discussion."

All she wanted was for Ellie to start thinking less about them and more about herself and the baby. She knew that Ellie was going to burn out sooner or later if she didn't start taking care of herself. She knew that Ellie gets frustrated not being able to help, but Ellie had no idea how high risk her pregnancy was. Ellie just glared before going to lay down on the other side of the fire to get some sleep.

Abby took a seat on the tree stump and continued keeping watch, not paying attention to her companions. They were simply too close to the rest of the fireflies for her liking and if she had it her way, they'd walk all night until they got to Ohio.

Abby jumped out of her thoughts as she heard a twig snap and she turned and saw Lev.

"Hey, it's my watch now." He says, moving to stand right beside her.

"Alright cool."

"I know you're worried about her, but she can handle herself. You shouldn't stress too much."

"I will stress because she doesn't know her limits."

"By not letting her do anything though, she's going to test those limits and end up hurting herself if you don't tell her the concerns you have." He explains, his voice gentle as he sat down beside her.

"She's going to lose the baby if she isn't careful, Lev."

Abby didn't let Lev say anything else, getting up before he could and returning to Ellie.
