I really appreciate all the time that everyone has spared to read this fanfic. I had an awesome time writing it, even though sometimes it gave me a hard time to translate what was on my mind to paper (or screen). Tenshi, The Man!
Tenten already had a hell of a weekend, and now this. Well, at least things would come clean now.
"Well, that's one way to prove it"
...
It was a sunny and beautiful Sunday, and Tenten had cramps, again, and unfortunately, Neji wasn't able to come to her room today, as Yuki was dutifully watching over her hallway. Sighing and sinking even more into her bed, she heard her phone ring. She wasn't in the right mood to talk, so she ignored it, and again, and again, until she lost the patience game, whoever wanted to talk with her, wanted to talk with her now.
"What?" She asked not so nicely.
"Whoa, sis, is that how you meet your hero?" Her brother replied on the other side of the phone. She grunted, she didn't have the energy to talk to her overly excited brother, and what about the hero talk?
"What do you want? I'm not in the mood for chit chat" She asked him coldly.
"I see that Neji has been rubbing some of his coldness to you sis… Anyway, could you come to the front of your school?"
"Huh?" She blinked, "what?" Was her brother trying to break into school again?
"Well, you see, I'm here and I kind of need you... right now" Tenshi seemed kind of serious for once, and she wondered what the heck did he do this time. Sighing, she got up, wincing in pain and trying to look for something decent to wear.
"Alright, but it better be something important, I'm dying of cramps right now" warning him, she hung up. The faster she went, the faster she could come back and die in her bed from pain again. Putting on some clothes, Tenten made her way for where her brother was, ignoring the tent of Yuki as if it didn't even exist.
Now, her brother was there alright, but why was he in the back of a van, having the door open for her, and he had his hair, which was almost as long as hers, in a messy bun and he had a headband, just like her.
"Explain" was the first thing Tenten told him when she met him, her patience was almost none at this point. Her brother gave her a sheepishly smile.
"First, enter the van" he instructed. Tenten rolled her eyes but did it anyway. Once inside, she stared at her brother, waiting for him to explain what all this was about. Tenshi only limited himself to rub the back of his head. "Well... congrats sis! You're entering Konoha high!" He told her cheerfully. Tenten frowned.
"Did you hit your head? I'm already studying at Konoha high" if her brother called her here for a joke, he would have a talk with her fists.
"No, I'm studying in Konoha high. I'm Tenshi Amarai, remember" he winked at her, and her eyes widened, "but from tomorrow on, Tenten Amarai will also be attending at school!"
"Wait, what? You're not going to be dressing up as a woman, no one will believe that!" She couldn't believe she had to point that out, her brain was a wreck already trying to even imagine the hellish picture of her brother in a girls uniform.
"I'm not dressing as a woman! I'm not shaving my legs!" Her brother defended himself, "Anyway, you're going back into being Tenten full time, while I'm going to take you're place, or my place, it's confusing, as Tenshi!" She must have had a dumbstruck face, because her brother laughed at her.
"You mean that you passed the entrance exams as me?" Was her first question. She knew that Tenshi wasn't the brightest student, and her brother wouldn't study, would he? This was a top school, with top stud-
"Heck no, I paid. The entrance exams are for scholarship."
"Oh" That made sense. Thinking over it again, there were some students that weren't so bright, like Naruto...
"Anyway, Lee contacted me, and told me his plan, and I gotta say, it was a neat plan!" Tenshi started, but she interrupted.
"How did Lee contact you?" She knew that Neji wouldn't give her brothers number without asking her, and Lee didn't ask her neither.
"When I asked him about it, he just told me that he bothered the principal until she gave in, just for him to let her alone" Tenshi shrugged, Tenten sweat dropped. Lee had his own way to get things around school, apparently.
"Anyway," her brother cleared his throat, "here is the deal. I'll go as Tenshi, as if it were always me, and you ingress as a new student. As almost all volleyball team already knows about you, you keep going into practice and so on, I'll just hide somewhere. This will help you with Neji as well, as you both can be open about your relationship without suffering so much." He finished explaining, looking at her expectantly.
"Wow" she had to give it to him, it was actually a good plan, it would solve almost, if not all, of their problems, "I never expected that you could come up with a plan like this..."
"It wasn't me, it was Lee, remember? I just agreed as I was bored and missed you." He shrugged.
"Oh right, you wouldn't have the brains for this" she rolled her eyes at his hurt face, "what do you need me here for then?"
"Isn't it clear? We are going to introduce you, Tenten, to the principal!" Oh right, they needed to do that, just a little problem.
"But I'm dressed as a man right now" she stated the problem, and her brother winked at her.
"That's why the van! Julio made your luggage, so you just pick something to wear and change inside" her brother smiled widely at her, pointing at said luggage that she just now noticed.
"Ah, you guys really thought this one out" she said out loud, and her brother grinned at her. "Since when you started this plan?" She asked out of curiosity.
"Lee called me around the start of the week. Then I made Julio call here right after, and after that we started packing. I left home about two days ago, to bring the van, it was a nice road trip, passed by lots of tourist attractions, had a pet cat for a day, until it ran away eventually, -"
"Ok ok, I get it. Thank you anyway" she thanked her brother sincerely. It was one of the best things he was doing for her.
"Anytime sis, now get dressed!" He smiled at her, waiting for her to do that. She raised an eyebrow at him.
"Could you step outside for it?"
"No can do. I won't look, you're my sister, ew. Also, I need your clothes, if it is as you say, and there's always someone in the lookout for me, you, whatever, then I need to go back dressed as got out." Tenshi, for once, made a valid point. It was going to be embarrassing, but she would have to change with her brother in the same closed space. Thankfully, Tenshi kept his word and back at her, not looking while she changed. And Tenten dutifully turned her back when her brother started to change too, stuffing his clothes in her bag for him to fetch it later.
"Well, let's go see Tsunade-sama then" she told her brother, as she would, for the first time, step inside school looking and dressed like a woman, in her signature twin buns, and without the annoying headband.
The walk was fun, Tenshi was his usual, cheerful self, and she was a little shy, walking in school grounds with her brother, with some people looking at them. Good thing they were twins, so Tenshi actually looked at lot like her when she dressed like him, just a little more masculine and less androgynous now. He could tell it was second puberty of anyone asked. Arriving at Tsunade's office, Tenten fidget a little, feeling awkward to talk with the blonde woman as a girl now.
"Amarai Tenten and Amarai Tenshi, right?" The blonde asked, and both nodded. She gave them a long stare, before sighing. "I guess that this is now the real Tenshi, correct?" Both teens looked at her like she had just murdered someone, making the woman chuckle.
"Wh-what do you mean with the r-real Tenshi, ma'am?" Tenten tried her best to sound confident, failing miserably. Tsunade gave her a 'you gotta be kidding look'.
"Please kids, since day one I knew that the first Tenshi was a woman. I graduated on top of my class in medicine, I know a woman and a man when I see one." the blondee explained them, and both blinked in surprise.
"You are a freaking doctor? Then why a principal?" Tenshi asked her. She ignored his language.
"As a doctor I can't take so many naps and drink sake around" she told them truthfully, shrugging. The Amarais sweat dropped but chose to not ask more about that.
"If you knew, then why you didn't stop me then?" Tenten asked, curious. Tsunade smirked.
"I wanted to see how far you would go, and I gotta say, you really have a knack for volleyball. Kakashi was right."
"Kakashi?" Was he involved in this too?
"Yes, we met at the spring tournament. We talked a lot about you too. You have to thank him, as he kept quiet all the time about having an Amarai Tenshi at his school as well" she told them. Tenten really was going buy Kakashi all the next volumes of Icha Icha as appreciation.
"I don't know what to say but thank you!" She said happily, having a weight lifted from her shoulders.
"Don't mention it, it was actually a fun thing. And also, about volleyball too, the higher ups of nationals know too" Tsunade stated, and Tenten felt herself almost fainting. thankfully, her brother supported her.
"WHAT?" She shouted, and an eye from Tsunade twitched. Apparently, she didn't mind language, but shouting she did.
"They don't mind, as long as you keep a secret until the end of it, then you can do as you please coming out as a woman. One may think that there are rules preventing woman from participating from men's games, but there isn't. It's actually a taboo, and a recommendation, as you experienced, in fist hand, how stronger physically men can be, but that doesn't mean woman can't handle or overcome this. It's just a case of trying. Plus, men enforce this too to not have their egos hurt by a woman beating them in sports" Tsunade explained it, smiling gently at her. Tenten didn't know whether she cried from happiness, as she wouldn't be in trouble, or stressed out as she could just have butted heads and tried as a woman anyway. That happens when you don't read all the rules and amendments, you miss important stuff and details.
"You mean that there will be no problem?" Tenshi asked for her, as she was so shocked to do so. Tsunade smiled and shook her head. Tenten could cry from happiness, there goes all her troubles!
"Anyway, these are your keys" The older woman threw at them a pair of keys, and a tag showed that her room was going to be 10.1. Tenten gave it an odd glance, there goes the joke about names again. "You two are going to be neighbors, as your butler requested a solo room for you as well. Now, I only have one more important question." Tsunade gave Tenten a serious stare, and she felt intimidated by the woman.
"Yes?"
"Are you dating Neji Hyuga?" Tsunade asked, and Tenten turned red instantly.
"...yes..." she shyly replied, and the older woman cursed under her breath.
"Dammit that perv! Ok, you may go now. I put you two in the same classes. Dismissed" they wasted no time into scrambling out of there.
...
Jiraya walked inside Tsunade's office right after he saw the twins almost running out from it. When he saw the frown on his beautiful friend, he knew he had won.
"So?" He asked, and the woman rolled her eyes at him.
"I just can't believe that Neji Hyuga, who was icy cold all his time in here and never batted an eye to any girl, even the ones who flashed him sometimes, actually started to date the one girl who didn't want to be found as a girl in here" Tsunade pouted. She had a valid point, Jiraya had to give it to her, but he understood love more than her, he supposed. The Hyuga wasn't just attracted to a body, he was attracted to the full package. He himself tried to help the man as he could, trying for chase away the boy/girl stalkers, but the last two weeks have been impossible for him to help the boy at all.
"What can I say, I have an eye for things. So, I won the bet!" The man proclaimed, laughing.
"Fine, yes, you win." The woman sighed, pulling out a bottle of sake and two cups. "You better take me out to a good restaurant, with good booze." She warned him.
"You bet! I was waiting for this opportunity for decades!" Jiraya grinned as he toasted with his friend and love interest for God knows how long.

Yuki was still in her corridor when they appeared there, walking. The crazy woman peeked outside her tent, giving them a double take, then slowly retreated into her tent. Tenten just rolled her eyes at her, while Tenshi looked amused. Passing directly by her somewhat former room, she suppressed a roll of her eyes when indeed, her new room, had the number 10.1 imprinted on the door. Inside, the room was identical as her older, just without her things, which she would need to get sometime.
"You can go now, I'll settle with what Julio packed me" she told her brother, dismissing him. The last hour she had forgotten about her cramps, but it was starting to make her remember it again, stabbing her uterus without mercy. "By the way, change sheets. Please" she told her brother, not looking at him, and hoping he wouldn't get the hidden meaning in it. Her brother smirked at her.
"Of course I'll do that! It would be gross sleeping on the same fabric where you did extracurricular activities with Neji" he teased her, running away before she could hit him. She wouldn't hit him, but she was glad he thought she would. Sighing, she put on some clean sheets in her new bed and hurried to the bathroom. She would call Neji after that and explain everything that just happened. Hopefully he would be able to come there as well and be a heating pad to ease her pain.

Neji was sulking in his room, reading and re reading the same page of his book, because he wasn't paying attention to it, because he was sulking, because he didn't want to read the goddamn book. When he received a call from Tenten, he answered it with lightning reflexes.
"Tenten? Are you ok?" He knew she was having her period today, and probably dying from cramps too.
"Neji, could you come here please? I have some news for you. It's room 10.1 now by the way, not 10, 10.1" she told him, and he started to cold sweat. He registered that she changed the room, but didn't question it, he was more worried with the other news.
Am I going to be a father?
How should I know!
"S-sure!" He stuttered, and with shaky legs, started to make his way towards her new room. He passed by a tent on his way, and Yuki watched him pass by. As soon as he passed by Tenten's old room, she retreated inside. Neji decided to ignore that. Arriving in her new room, he found her in fetal position in her bed.
"Tenten, are you ok? Are you pregnant? Is there little Hyugas on the way?" He asked immediately, getting closer to her. She looked funny at him.
"No, I'm sorry, but there aren't any little Hyugas?" She laughed at his choice of words, but relieved him, letting him know that she wasn't pregnant. Neji sighed loudly, it wasn't like he didn't want to have kids with her, but they were only seventeen, and he wanted to enjoy life with her a little before having little kids running around them.
"So, Is everything ok?" He asked again, sitting by her side, running the back of his hand on her cheek, caressing it softly. She smiled at him.
"Yeah, and actually, it's a long story and my cramps are killing me. So cuddle me so I can tell you the news" he didn't need a second order. Quickly laying by her side and bringing her closer to him, he let her tell him all that happened in the last hour.
"So, you're telling me that the one in your former room is your brother, that Lee had this crazy, but genius plan, that you're being a new student again, but now as yourself and will still play volleyball by with the men's team and participating in the nationals, all this without a single drop of a problem?" Neji surmised, checking if he understood everything. Tenten nodded, burying her head in his chest, using him as a heating source.
"Yeah, isn't this amazing? It was troublesome going through all, but now it should be ok"
"Wow, I mean yeah, but wow. I didn't expect for all this to be solved so quickly and easily, in some way" he said truthfully, as he thought that he would have to battle a dragon at some point to have everything alright, metaphorically speaking.
"Easy for you to say it, you didn't have to almost have a heart attack facing Tsunade. Even though she was very nice, but she can be scary" Tenten chuckled, and he found himself chuckling with her. They stayed there in silence, happy to be in the arms of each other again. Eventually Tenten slept, having had the stress of her period and all, and Neji let her be. It has been sometime since the last time they slept in the same room, and Neji would happily do it again, letting himself relax and drift to a pleasant sleep, without any snoring.
He automatically woke up at dawn, before anyone else could be awake. Anyone, but Tenten.
"You're awake before me?" He asked her in disbelief. She was playing with his hair.
"I'm kind of nervous and exited for today, as it's my first day, again" she giggled. Neji smiled, hugging her closer.
"It will be alright, you know this school already. Tenshi on the other hand..." Neji trailed off, making her laugh.
"We will have to help him. But it will be fun to watch him struggle a little" he chuckled.
"Yeah"
"Neji?"
"Hn?"
"Could you wait here for a while, I want to see my new uniform, and want you to teach me how to tie the bloody tie, as the girls uniform has one as well..." he laughed at her request. Fricking finally she wanted to get her tie together.
"Thought you would never ask" he teased her, and she rolled her eyes at him, skipping to the bathroom. After a good fifteen minutes, as she also showered, she emerged from it. Neji had to hold a breath. He was used to see the girls in this school uniform, but he wasn't used into seeing his woman in it.

"Neji?" She asked for him, as he just kept staring at her, drooling. Getting a hold of himself, Neji cleared his throat, ignoring the smug and suggestive look she was giving him.
"Yes, tie, tie the tie, let's tie this then" he started to instruct her how to do the task, and she actually listened to him, and learnt, doing it herself a couple of times, memorizing it.
"Thank you, Neji" she smiled up at him, and Neji smiled back.
"Anytime" he bowed down, kissing her gently, "now I better go before people start to wake up. See you in class, new student" he teased her, making her laugh.
"See you there, I'll go wake up my brother soon too" she watched him go. Neji ignored again the tent in the middle of the hallway, and the person inside ignored him as well. Apparently, as long as the sound didn't come from Tenten's former room, the crazy woman wouldn't care. Thank God.

Tenshi woke up with a loud bang in his door. It was too early, and he slept late, having watched anime till past midnight. Grunting, he opened the door, blinking when his sister was there.
"Ten? It's too early" he complained. His sister only rolled her eyes at him.
"Classes start in half hour, I gave you plenty of time" she told him, and Tenshi remembered that he had class. Not that he didn't have back at home, but he had skipped the last week and somewhat forgot that the still needed to participate in classes before achieving his objective as a professional streamer.
"Fine, be back right away" he pushed himself for a shower, quickly washing his sleepiness away, he and put his new uniform. It had a tie, but he didn't know how to do it, so he left it in a mess. Julio was the one that always did these things anyway. Tenshi also remembered to put his hair in a messy man bun, he preferred a high ponytail, but he should stick to what his sister wore for the sake of the gig, eventually he would go back into his own hairstyle. He also put the headband, which made his head itch, but he would deal with it. Emerging from his bedroom, he saw that the weird tent girl was glaring at his sister, who was ignoring her full time.
"Finally, now let's go!" He let his sister drag him away, as he had no clue to where to go.
"Can we grab something to eat before?" He asked, hoping that she would drag him to the cafeteria.
"No can do, we will be late if you eat" she simply answered and he sighed, ignoring the looks and double takes. Sure thing people were thinking they were seeing doubles. Once they arrived in front of a door, she turned at him and whispered, "remember, you sit behind Neji"
"Ok!" He smiled at her and walked inside. The classroom was big, but it was easy to spot his soon to be brother in law, he was seated behind a weird guy with brushy eyebrows that he recognized as Lee. Said guy, smiled blindingly at him. If he knew this he would have brought some sunglasses!
"Tenshi! My dear friend! How are you doing?" Lee yelled as soon as he approached the duo. Neji simply nodded at him, giving the tiniest of smiles.
"Whazup! I'm awesome! Did you hear the news, my lil sis is starting school in here today!" He said, as if he knew the two from way back. Also, he made sure to say loud enough for people to listen to him.
"Ohh really? That is so youthful!" Lee joined him in the yelling, Neji's lips just twitched upwards. He was amused, Tenshi could tell.
Eventually sitting, he waited for the bell to ring, ignoring the weird looks and whispers here and there. He could tell that people were looking between him and Neji, and he felt bad for his sister, having faced this for some time. When the bell rang, a teacher waltzed inside.
"Quiet down everyone, we have a new student today" the teacher signaled his sister to walk in, and so she did. He heard more whispers around, not really surprising him, they were identical twins after all, the only difference is that he didn't have boobies and she didn't have a dick. The man in front of him couldn't take his eyes out of his sister, and she stared at Neji for a good while too. Tenshi smirked. "Tenten Amarai, right? Are you related to Tenshi?" The teacher asked, curious.
"Yes, I'm his twin sister" she smiled gently at the teacher, who only nodded.
"I see, well, I'm Asuma Sarutobi, history teacher. You can sit behind your brother then, I guess." The teacher instructed her, and she made her way towards him. He grinned at her when she passed by, and she grinned back, this was going to be funny.
...
"Tenten, I'm hungry" Tenshi complained. He didn't have breakfast, and he was a glutton.
"You can go without me then, I need to go to the bathroom first, girl thing" she told him, disappearing inside the bathroom. He sighed, he could go alone, sure, he was supposed to be studying there for a good while after all, right? What he didn't expect, was a guy coming up to him right after he stepped in the cafeteria.
"Well, well, well, who we have here" The guy almost yelled, and Tenshi looked at him funnily. What was up with that guy.
"Uhh, whazzup mate?" He greeted the weird man, who smirked at him.
"Nothing, my dear man, or I mean, woman" the man shouted, and Tenshi's eyes widened in shock. This was probably the Nomura guy! The son of a bitch!
"The hell man, I'm no woman!" Tenshi defended himself. His sister could have used his name for a while, but he still was a man!
"Really, so explain me this" and to his surprise, the guy pulled down his pants, putting his junk in the view of the whole cafeteria. Not that Tenshi got a problem, he was very proud and confident of his parts.
"Well, that's one way to prove it." He commented, feeling the breeze. The guy's face that he supposed was Nomura turned red, it was also dangerously close to him, as the guy crouched in front of him, his pants on the guys hands.
"WHAT THE HELL!?" Nomura screamed, "WHY IS THERE A PENIS IN THERE?"
"What man, let them dangle" Tenshi commented, proud to see some girls giving him seductive looks after seeing him.
"BUT WERENT YOU SUPPOSED TO BE A WOMAN WHO IS DATING FUCKING HYUGA?" Nomura screamed, and Tenshi shrugged.
"That would be my sister man, sorry" Nomura's eyes widened even more. Tenshi wondered if the guy would get up anytime soon, it was awkward having a guy's face a few centimeters from his balls.
"You have a sister?" The guy practically whispered, confused as heck.
"A twin sister, to be exact" Tenshi corrected.
"TENSHI, PULL YOUR FUCKING PANTS UP YOU MORON!" Speaking of the devil.
"And that's her by the way. If you excuse me" Tenshi pointed to where the shouting came and quickly pulled his pants up. Soon enough, Tenten stormed to where he was, fuming, Neji right behind her, looking somewhat amused and mortified.
"You're Tenten?" Nomura snapped at her, finally getting up. The glare she gave the guy made him squirm.
"Yes, now who the fuck are you, and why you are pulling my brothers fucking pants down, for fucks sake?" She asked, not minding her language. Tenshi knew that when she was in that state, it was better to not debate, just accept, or she would beat the crap out of you. Tenten was the scariest person when angry.
"I, well, though he was you..." poor Nomura. While he was right, he was wrong, at the same time.
"Do I look like a man to you?" She asked, and Nomura shook his head, "and if it was me, would you just expose me like you exposed my brother?" At her question, the guy went silent, and Neji glare guy intensely. Tenshi was glad to know that Hyuga was protective of his little sister.
"What is happening in here?" And to make things worse, the principal just arrived.
"Tsunade-sama" well, at least Tenten anger diminished, as she looked more like a human and less like a hungry monster.
"This guy came to me and pushed my pants down" Tenshi simply said, pointing at Nomura. Tsunade death glare landed on said guy.
"Is that true?" She asked him, and the guy fidgeted. Sighing, she turned to the crowd. "What are you looking at? Skedaddle! Nomura, you're with me. Tenten, Tenshi and Neji, behave." She turned around and stomped away, turning to face Nomura when the guy still didn't follow her. "Nomura, get your ass moving before I make you move" with that said, the guy quickly started following her.
"Well, that was fun" Tenshi laughed. Tenten and Neji sighed.

This could have ended bad, really bad, Tenten mused. If Tenshi hadn't showed up, maybe she was the one getting her genitals exposed like that, the thought itself mortifying her. Neji appeared relieved too, probably thinking the same thing.
"Are you two really a couple?" A random girl in the crowd asked, and Tenten recognized as one of Neji's followers. She wasn't going to answer, but for her surprise, Neji did.
"Yes, and anyone who lays a finger on her, will know my wrath" he death glared everyone around, while sliding a hand through her waist, bringing her closer to him. She blushed at his action but smirked anyway. Some girls glared at her, but not for long, scared of Neji.
"Yay man, way to announce it!" Tenshi cheered them, and she glared at him.
"It was you who gave the news to everyone, you dumbass" she reminded him. Her brother just scratched the back of his head.
"I guess I did" he said, making she and Neji sigh, better to just head over the table and try to forget this whole incident.
"Holy shit man! That was hilarious Tenshi!" Kiba yelled as soon as they gathered on their table. Neji had dismissed them when he found her at the incident, so they just hurried over to sit down and watch the show.
"Don't mention it, I think that some girls liked what they saw too" For her embarrassment, her brother agreed, making her smack the back of his head.
"Don't be proud of it!" She snarled at him, "anyway, this is my brother, Tenshi. Tenshi, my friends. Please behave" Tenten introduced him to her friends, and he smiled widely at them all.
"Wow, you two do look alike!" Naruto yelled, laughing with Tenshi and Kiba. Tenten had a feeling that he would get along especially well with those two. The rest of the table stayed in good spirits, while they talked and got to know her brother better.

Two weeks have passed, and everything was perfect for Tenten. Nomura ended up getting expelled, he had, after all, kicked her, spied on some gymnastic girls, and now exposed her brother genitals. Tenten was glad to not have to see the guy's face around anymore. Neji now stayed at her room all day, and she needed to make space for his stuff as well, as he was practically living there too. Not that she complained, he could come and go openly, without anyone questioning, and she very much liked that. Her brother was also a success, everyone seemed to like him, and school resumed like usual. People gave them strange looks in the beginning, but eventually shrugged it off. She had a feeling that they knew of the truth, but didn't care enough, as there wasn't really anything wrong or scandalous. Her former fan club moved to her brother, and she could tell that he didn't mind, he even made sure to pay attention to any girl who stalked him. She didn't know if he was just kind and oblivious or a womanizer. Maybe both.
And now was the time she waited, nationals, finally. Not only that, but it was the finals of the nationals, they managed to get into it, and soon the game was about to start. Neji was by her side, as always. She couldn't believe that they didn't get along in the beginning, as now she couldn't see herself without him right next to her, or her next to him.
"If we win, what is your plan?" He asked her, and she knew what he meant. Tsunade told them that the higher ups knew, so she wouldn't have a problem coming out as a girl, but it still gave her chills, a 'what if something wrong happened' thought always present.
"I'll let the moment decide" she smiled at him, adjusting her headband. He smiled gently at her, stealing a kiss before they headed out of the locker rooms.
"Get a room you two!" Naruto yelled at them, laughing afterwards. Neji glared at the blonde, but when Tenten laughed too, he softened his gaze and even chuckled. She was damn happy.

Neji watched, a smirk on his lips, when Tenten did the same thing she did with his team in the try outs. It was a bold move, but she had the guts and ability for it, to pass the ball on the second touch, faking that she was going to lift it to him, getting the opponent team, non other the the Kumo team, the former champions, by surprise. It was even more impressive, as it was the match point.
As the ball hit the opponent side, the crowd of Konoha high exploded in cheers, while the Kumo crowd, alongside their team, stood there, watching in dumbstruck. Everyone of their team rushed towards Tenten, cheering her, and complimenting her boldness.
"You have some balls!" Kiba laughed at his own joke, making some of the guys laugh too. Neji too, joined, feeling proud to no end.
"That's my man!" He shouted, proudly. (Roll credits ba dum ts).
Tenten laughed maniacally and launching herself at him, he responded by kissing her, full on the lips. This action shocked the whole opposing team and crowd, broadcasters and even Guy sensei, who was still oblivious to the fact that Tenten was a woman. Neji wondered how the older man could still not see that. Their own crowd didn't get surprised, they even made a 'own' sound, having figured that she was Tenten for some time. Heck, even the real Tenshi was in the middle of their crowd, shouting like a maniac.
Then Tenten parted the kiss and let her hair free, getting the headband out of the way, starting to laugh like a girly girl. Now the ones that got shocked, almost fainted when their brains worked out the information that the person he kissed was a girl. Guy did faint though. The opposing team looked at her like she was an alien, and Tenten sent them a smug smirk, crushing their egos even more. The broadcasters couldn't contain themselves with the excitement of the news, shouting as how the main setter of the winning team was actually a girl, who just won the nationals with her point.
Neji laughed, happy and proud of his woman. He was glad that she decided to show her true self, as she deserved all the praise she could get, and he would make sure that she got what she deserved, all the happiness in the world.

"Marry me" and so he did, he asked her in the middle of all the screaming and cheering. Thankfully, she heard him, and smiled widely at him.
"Thought you would never ask" she replied, kissing him again, laughing and making him laugh with her.

In the end, they ended marrying after high school graduation, when they were barely eighteen. Tenshi and Lee cried like a baby the whole ceremony. Hinata was happy for him, while Hanabi teased him as how fast he married someone. His uncle appeared pleased thankfully. Julio ended up doing the ceremony, and before marrying Neji and Tenten, he warned Neji that if he hurt her, Julio was going to pay a visit to him, and kick harder where it hurts. Neji shivered, but swore never hurt the woman, both for Julio and himself.
After college was over, they traveled around the world, having a good free time with just themselves. And before they were thirty, they were a happy family, with four little Hyugas, the older one a girl, then a pair of boy twins, and lastly a little girl, all running around his uncle's mansion, making the old man crazy and happy at the same time. Neji and Tenten couldn't be happier.
