Notes: First I would like to address the overall quality complaints of my first portion of this story. There was an issue with the transition to Fanfiction format and I have been adjusting to its parameters and transitions. I ask for your consideration and understanding in the meanwhile.
Disclaimer: I obviously do not own anything relating to Harry Potter, My Hero Academia, or the Seven Deadly Sins. They are the property of their creators and I am just a humble writer trying to use Fanfiction to increase his skills. Enjoy.
Part Two - A Hero's Journey Begins
It's finally time. Harry thought as he walked across the threshold of UA High's gate. Even with his bulky six-foot-five frame he didn't come close to measuring its grandeur. He figured that was the purpose, to inspire awe in those who saw it. As if it was a mighty symbol one must strive to match. Harry smirked. For one such as he that symbol was a mere doorstop in his path. Soon enough people would see him in much the same light.
The last eight years had changed much for harry. With proper nutrition and quirk related medical care he had regained the height his malnutrition had denied him. Active interaction with positive people such as Present Mic, his best friend Eraser Head, and even the soon to be deposed number one hero All Might had eased the boys mental state and showed him what healthy public interactions looked like. They hadn't fixed his distrust of authority figures, but it was a start.
Two specific changes however were the most astonishing for those who knew him at his first arrival in the country. Firstly, the boy was massive. Not just in height but in physicality. The moment he had decided that he needed to be the one hero above all he had begun training. Sure as a child he couldn't do much but he had started jogging around Hizashi's neighborhood in the mornings and evenings. About year later he was searching the internet for workouts safe for children and stumbled upon something called the super-hero workout.
Apparently it was developed as a joke for a local anime that involved doing one hundred push ups, one hundred squats, one hundred sit ups, and a ten kilometer run every day. To harry it seemed a little simplistic, but when he showed it to his hero guardian, Hizashi wholeheartedly endorsed it for his young child. The way he figured, having a solid base before getting the heavy training he intended could only be a benefit.
So he gave it a shot and after several months of constant work he was starting to develop some muscle and that along with his quirk training led to an interesting development. When he used his quirk his body grew. The farther along the day it was the greater his growth. Along with that, the muscle he had grew even greater with him. That meant the muscle he had in base form was almost directly proportional to his quirk growth. If he was big to start he became massive when he used his power.
Needless to say the moment Hizashi decided he was old enough to safely start exercising for real Harry had hit the bench and never dropped it. That along with a tightly controlled diet led to a form that required the now teenage boy to walk sideways through doors.
His hair, though still rather wild and unmanageable, had grown out to hang lightly over his shoulder blades in a manner reminiscent of a lions black mane.
The second change came in the form of his attitude. His guardian's talk about choosing who you can become, and his own dream of excellence and superiority had led to a completely altered mindset. Gone was the timid child he had been. Gone was the overly considerate attitude he'd held for others. He had made the deliberate choice to replace them with powerful, all consuming pride. Yes if he was going to be the number one hero he would have pride in the position, and every other aspect of his life.
The changes aside, the now fifteen year old was finally making his way to the entrance exam building. Through Hizashi and his friends aid in his training he had already made it into the school through recommendations, but he still wanted to do the physical exam. He saw it as a way to test his capabilities against his eventual peers.
It was because of this walk that he ran into a much smaller green haired boy, and an equally small brunette with an overly defined blush on her cheeks. They must have been conversing in his path. He didn't even break his stride. Instead he just grabbed their collars and carried them with him. He could tell from their outfits that they were here for the exam same as him after all.
"Ah mister?" The greenette asked as he bounced along.
"Hm?" Harry responded. "What seems to be the matter?"
Izuku Midoriya was flummoxed. He had been having a miniature panic attack at the prospect of talking to a pretty girl one second and the next he was being carried by a black haired foreign looking mountain of muscle. This day was certainly not going the way he had expected.
"Um… Could you perhaps let me down?" He asked as he looked at his former conversation partner. In contrast to him she seemed to be enjoying the experience. Her eyes were closed and she was taking the opportunity to swing happily back and forth in the air as if she were a koala. It was kind of cute.
The mountain stopped. "Oh? My apologies." He dropped Izuku and carefully lowered the girl. Prideful did not mean rude, and Hizashi had instilled a great respect for women. Then he raised his hands to the two for a greeting.
"My name is Harry Yamada (he'd taken Hizashi's last name after his first year in Japan when the man had offered to officially adopt him.) It is nice to make your acquaintance."
For a moment Izuku was startled by the deep baritone voice of the much larger boy, and then he recognized the name. How could he not when he had three notebooks bearing the same one.
"Y-Yamada?!" He squeaked. "You wouldn't happen to be related to-"
"Present Mic? Yeh he's my dad." Harry responded with a proud smile.
The brunette spoke up then in a confused voice as they continued their walk to the testing building, "I didn't know Present Mic had a son."
"I'm adopted." He responded simply. His companions said nothing for a moment before they realized how rude they were being.
"I'm I-Izuku Midoriya" The green haired boy stuttered.
"And I'm Ochako Uraraka." The bubbly girl said brightly, causing Harry to smile as they finally reached the testing facility. He shook Izuku's hand and kissed Ochako's.
"I look forward to facing off against worthy opponents in this test and I believe you are worthy. Pass and we will speak more in the classroom." His companion's nodded and they separated.
Twenty minutes later Harry was sitting amongst the crowd and the introduction speech was beginning. The pleasantries were observed, the information was given, the well wishes were provided. Then his dad decided to go off script.
"Yeah!" He screeched at the captive audience, "I wish you all the best of luck! After all-" He pointed right at Harry, "with my son participating as well you will all need to struggle to take down enough enemies to pass!"
All at once all eyes turned to him with looks of both awe and annoyance. Harry just smirked and nodded. His father had not said a single thing that was untrue. The moment he walked into the field the test would be over. All that would remain would be those that took up his leavings.
Still smirking he stood up and left the room, making his way to the starting gate. Once he got there though someone had the audacity to place their hand on his shoulder and pull. As if they were going to tell him off or something. He responded by latching onto the offending limb and pulling over his head. The teenager had a brief glimpse of black hair and what looked like calf rockets before a body shaped hole in the ground was placed before him.
Deep groans of pain and discomfort were heard for a moment before a rather smartly dressed teenage with spectacles climbed out of the dirt. He had some slight bruising around his face but otherwise seemed like he was okay. Which was further emphasized by his rapid waving of one hand and berating tone.
"It is very rude and unprofessional to attack a random student sir! As a potential representative of this fine institution how do you account for you actions!"
Harry didn't flinch. "How do you account for aggressively putting your hands on a random stranger without consent?"
The stranger blushed and lowered his hand before bowing before him. "My apologies for that unprofessional action. But I needed to tell you that the way you behaved in the testing facility was atrocious."
Harry raised an eyebrow. "Are you going to call the actions of Present Mic atrocious?"
"Don't be ridiculous!" The strange boy visibly flinched. "He's a pro hero. As such he does everything with purpose."
"Precisely." Harry responded. "He acknowledged my ability and prowess before every participant in that room. In his eyes I was above you all. Additionally he had finished providing the necessary information and goal of the test. What reason was there to stay in that room? I can see the others walking up right now."
The other boy looked at the approaching crowd and visibly deflated. "You didn't act as a model student or true hero should."
Tenya Lida didn't know what reaction he expected from the large boy before him but outright laughter was not it.
"Should I care what you believe a model student or hero should act like? Your opinions are not my concern stranger." He raised his arm and pointed a finger to the sky. "I will be the One that stands above all heroes in this world. Thus the only opinions that matter in the end are my own."
All his life Tenya had lived by the rules and examples of those above him. Be they heroes, his parents, his brother, and his upper classmen. It had been logical. It had made sense. But never had he truly felt inspired by the things he had seen. Now though, looking upon the muscled individual before him. Seeing the raw conviction and total belief…. Lida believed in the future the man claimed. He believed that he was gazing upon the next number one hero.
He offered his hand. "I'm Tenya Lida."
Harry took it and beamed at the smaller man. "Harry Yamada. Please pass this test Tenya. You seem interesting." He watched the other nod and got into a ready position just as the doors opened and the starting light turned green.
Like a rocket he was off. Calling on his quirk, All Bright (Since it was unique he'd named it himself), Harry doubled in size and strength and sped through the arena. Before the first participant had followed him through the gate he'd destroyed fifty robots. By the time the third made it he'd gone through half of the total number built for the test. On and on he went and he became dimly aware that others were inside and were dealing with his scraps but he didn't care. He was in his element. His quirk flowing, the sun itself giving him power, and his foes falling beneath him.
All too soon the horn announcing the final moments of the exam sounded and Harry took in the situation. He'd clearly demolished the majority of foes but several others were sure to have passes as well. Suddenly a robot taller than every building in the facility rose from the ground. It's metal joints screamed with movement and with its steps the pavement cracked, splintered, and shot in every direction.
That was the problem however. He noticed that a section of flying pavement had just impacted the head of a female participant that had been running in the other direction. She'd fallen to the ground apparently dazed and the robotic monstrosity was fast approaching. In a few moments she'd be crushed underfoot.
It was lucky for her that the clock had just struck noon.
In a flash of fire Harry stood before the beast with his hand raised before him. His body had grown another foot, his muscles were bulging and rippling beneath his skin, and steam was hissing from between his teeth. When he exhaled a ball of fire ignited in his raised palm and started compressing in on itself. When it was only one inch in diameter he exclaimed "Cruel Sun!" and turned the ball to face his opponent.
To the unobservant it would seem as if the ball launched itself at the robot, but to any paying attention it would be a different story. The ball of fire didn't launch, it decompressed. In less than a second an explosive force compressed over a thousand times was released in the direction of Harry's foe and completely vaporized it. All that remained were the bits of metal feet buried beneath the asphalt of the street. The compressed force had actually vaporized his shirt as well.
Harry turned to the downed girl. He didn't need to check for other enemies as his attack had gone through the target and destroyed the rest of block behind it in addition.
The girl was tall, though she still fell well below his own height. Her hair was jet black and held up in a high ponytail. When he finally noticed her face he stopped. This girl had to be the most beautiful person he had ever met. Her grey eyes were striking, her lips were the perfect size for her face, and she had just the cutest little nose. He had to get her name.
As he helped her dazedly to her feet he said, "I'm Harry Yamada. Are you injured?"
She smiled bashfully up at the muscular, shirtless, teenager that had saved her. She had never considered a man beautiful before but she couldn't help the thought now when an image of godly perfection stood before her.
"M-Momo Yaoyorozu." She stuttered for a moment before getting a hold of herself. "I'm fine. My head hurts a little bit but I'm sure it's nothing."
Harry frowned. "You got hit pretty hard Momo and a head wound should never be taken lightly. Come on," in a flash he was holding the beautiful girl in a bridal carry and walking off the field to the medical tent. Near as he could tell no one ahead of him had any life threatening injuries, but in any violent test there were minor minor burns and breaks. This was a secondary thought however as his main focus was on the blushing face of his passenger. Clearly being held in his arms was having an effect. Good.
What he didn't see was a pink skinned girl with horns walking behind him with a smirk on her face and eyes following the muscles of his back as he moved. She was both awed, excited, and confused but what she was seeing. The muscle was incredible, but the large tattoo of a lion's head that covered it was strange. Especially for a boy that had to be her age. She didn't even know you could get a tattoo at their age. Those thoughts aside a plan began to form in her head.
Finally they reached the medical tent where the aging recovery girl was attending to the collection of minor injuries. Regardless Harry did not let Momo go and she didn't ask him to. They just stood in the line together and waited their turn. Thus with his arms currently occupied Harry could do nothing when a stray hand full on cupped his right ass cheek.
He turned and took stock of the pretty pink skinned girl standing right behind him. Her hand had not moved.
"I am aware of the perfection of my glutes, but is there a reason that you felt the need to touch one of them?"
She grinned and showed slightly pointed teeth in the process. "I just wanted to see if they were as firm as they looked. And you are one hundred percent right." She squeezed her hand slightly and shuddered. "Perfection."
The boy nodded in understanding. "Carry on then." And turned back to face the front where Momo was blushing even deeper.
"Are you really just okay with that?" She asked her savior in confusion. "Her just putting her hands on you out of the blue? I mean do you already know that girl? Is she….. is she your girlfriend or something?" She tried and failed to keep the urgency of the question out of her voice.
In response he laughed with his head tilted back for a solid five seconds before responding. "I'm single, and in the words of the immortal Will Ferrell, when you have an ass like the north star wise men are going to want to follow it."
"Testify!" the pink girl behind him intoned. "I'm Mina Ashido by the way."
He nodded at her. "Harry Yamada." Then he refocused back on Momo. "So yes I am okay with what she is doing. I know I have a perfect form. I work hard for it, so people appreciating it is all well and good. Additionally she is not being in any way malicious or derogatory so there is no reason to overreact."
"So if…" Momo looked down, "If I wanted to touch you then you would be alright with that?"
He nodded, "But of course."
The girl bit her tongue with nerves and slowly started to raise a dainty hand toward his right pectoral, but before she could make contact the hero formerly known as Recovery Girl called "Next" and her savior moved them up to be examined.
She was all no nonsense as she stepped forward, kissed the tall girl's head, watched the small wound start to close, and gave her diagnosis. "The injury was minor. You don't have a concussion but mild disorientation is still potentially problematic until tomorrow. I'd recommend having someone see you home just to make sure you get there safely."
"I'll take care of it Auntie Chiyo." Harry spoke up.
In response the strict medic beamed in a smile and waved them off. "Of course Harry I'm sure you will." She chuckled under her breath as she began a cursory examination of the pink girl that was next in line. "I'm sure he will."
The entire walk to the train station, and then to Momo's family compound her feet never touched the ground. Harry had insisted on carrying her the entire way and she was definitely not complaining. When they finally reached the gate to her home he set her down at last and spoke.
"Momo I think you are very beautiful and I would like to take you on a date. Can I have your phone number?"
Momo froze. The teen before her had just asked her out with no hesitation. She'd been asked out before of course but every time the person asking had been a stuttering mess. Harry however was just pulsing with confidence in a way that continued to draw her in. It also helped that he was still shirtless. When she finally unfroze she gave an entirely undignified Squee and exchanged numbers with him so fast she worried her fingers would fall off her hands due to friction. The smile he gave her in response seemed as bright as the sun, and then he was kissing her hand in farewell.
Even after he'd been gone for ten minutes she continued to stay in the same spot and stare at the hand his lips had touched. She had never believed in love at first sight, but this Harry was making her question that assumption. In just a couple hours he had made her feel things she couldn't begin to describe. She decided to talk to her mother about what had happened to get her opinion on the matter as well.
Across town at the same time Harry landed from his super powered jump and approached his father. Present Mic gave him two thumbs up for his performance, and when he told him about getting Momo's phone number he received his favorite response. "Yeah!"
The constant UA repair crews were not thrilled at having to replace even more lights that day.
