The One Above All - Part Three - First Day Of Class

The sun was just cresting the horizon when Harry Yamada walked back up to the gates of UA High for his first day of school. over his left shoulder was his school bag, and in his right hand was the dainty fingers of Momo Yaoyorozu.

After he'd given her his number she hadn't waited more than a day to call him, and contrary to popular conventions, she'd been the one to take him on a date. Initially she had been nervous at the prospect so she'd talked to her mother about her circumstances. The woman had asked her to describe the boy she had such feelings for and upon hearing how muscular he was began to laugh uproariously.

Her explanation for that outburst was that apparently the women in their family tended to have a type. When Momo asked what she could possibly mean her mother had pointed to her father. more specifically she pointed to his canon ball sized biceps. Then she had been given a speech about how important it was to take the upper hand in any relationship and to call that hunk of a boy back.

Needless to say, she'd done just that. Now here they were on the first day of school. They'd gone on eight dates, made out twice, and Harry was officially her boyfriend. Momo was floating on air.

Beside her Harry was in much the same state. He'd never had a girlfriend before, but he was more than happy with the one he'd somehow gained. He thanked his father for giving him the confidence that let him ask for her number every day since. They had great chemistry and she was a joy to be around.

As they walked across the arch and started on the walk to the front door they noticed a green haired bob just ahead of them. Harry smiled and waved him over. "Izuku!" He boomed happily as the boy turned around, "come and walk with us!"

For his part Izuku was surprised. He hadn't thought he'd see the muscular boy so soon but he wasn't going to complain. His attitude was infectious.

"Hello Harry." He arrived at the couple and bowed to them both. "Who is your friend?" He asked, noticing their entwined hands. The larger boy smiled so bright Izuku could swear the sun was housed in his molars.

"This beauty is my girlfriend Momo Yaoyorozu."

The girl in question blushed at the term. She still got flutters in her stomach whenever she heard it.

"Oh." Izuku's eyes popped out of his head for a moment and he looked at Momo. "Congratulations. Are you both excited to start your first day?"

They both nodded. "It's my first step to becoming the one hero above all." Harry smirked and nudged his girlfriend, "It's also the first step for Momo here to make a name for herself outside of her parents influence."

"You want to be number one?" Izuku asked with a tilted head.

Harry held up a finger, "Correction, I already am, but I need this institution to make others acknowledge that fact."

'You're very confident about that."

"Having confidence in yourself is the first step to being the best. Is that your dream as well Izuku?"

The boy in question waved his hands in front of himself in denial. "Oh no, I just want to be a good hero that can save people with a smile on my face. That is my only goal plain and simple."

The much larger boy reached a hand forward and shook the confused Izuku's hand. "That is a marvelous goal to aim for. From this day on you are my friend. Come and walk with us." On that note he walked forward with Momo and no other words said.

For his part, Izuku was incredibly confused. What kind of person just unilaterally decides that someone else is their friend? On the other hand, the greenette didn't exactly have enough of a wealth of friends to be picky about who wants to spend time with him. So he quickly ran to catch up to the other two and started talking their ears off about quirks and potential uses. When he found out Momo's quirk could create pretty much anything, he began to hyperventilate.

"You realize you have the god tier of all quirks right?" He asked, noticing her reticence about her power. When she just looked confused he continued. "Almost all things on this world have a natural opposite, and in that vein all heroes and villains have weaknesses that can be exploited. If you have the chance to study someone, kind of like I do, you'll have the ability to create something that can counteract pretty much every person on the fly. With enough foresight and time to prepare you could become invincible."

Harry nudged his astounded girlfriend lightly with a smile. "I told you that you were special Momo. All you need is some confidence in yourself. If you can't find your own, then I'll happily lend you some of mine."

In response the girl nuzzled into his side and they were finally at the door to their classroom. 1A. They could already hear arguing.

"Well I guess Tenya made it in." Harry smiled. "But I wonder who he's arguing with this time?"

Beside him Izuku cringed. "I have an idea who it might be."

When he didn't say anymore Harry and Momo shrugged before he slid open the door and stepped inside. Everything became still as the eyes of his classmates turned to them. And why wouldn't they? A six and a half foot mountain of muscle and a ten out of ten beauty had just entered the premises.

Without a word the three interlopers chose seats at the front of the room. Izuku sat still and quivered with nerves, Momo already had three separate notebooks laid out with glasses on her head and a ramrod straight posture, while Harry just lounged back with his hands behind his head. Everything was fine until a loud Chihuahua looking scrub decided to slam a small explosive laden fist on Harry's desk.

Slowly, very slowly, Harry raised his eyes to meet the interloper.

It's as I thought. Harry mused. A short, spiky haired fuck playing dominance games. I should make sure he understands his place. "You're going to want to remove your fist from my desk pipsqueak." he rumbled. "Class is about to start and I need the surface for notes."

The intruder smirked, his red eyes crinkling. "You think you're tough shit just because you scored the most in the robot tests don't you? Well guess what, there's only room for one number one in this class and it's me."

Judging that words were not going to work with this short fuck Harry went with the path of least resistance. In a flash he was standing up from his desk with Katsuki Bakugo's head held in his hand. It should also be noted that the other boys feet were not touching the ground.

Immediately the loud student started launching explosions into Harry's face, stomach, groin, and pretty much anywhere else he could reach with his limited frame of movement. Nothing worked.

"Are you done?" Harry rumbled in a deathly low tone. In the background two girls shivered. Momo, because she had never heard that tone from her boyfriend, and Mina for a completely different reason.

When the boy continued to struggle Harry shook him, not hard enough to permanently injure, but definitely enough to rattle. When the target of his ire finally stopped twitching he spoke again. "I don't think I'm hot shit because I beat all those robots. I know I'm hot shit because I'm strong enough to utterly destroy and cripple every single person in this room without breaking a sweat."

Out of nowhere a line of what looked like scarf, wrapped around Harry's wrist and Bakugo was dropped unceremoniously to the floor as his quirk faltered. He followed the line of wrapping to see a familiar figure.

"Uncle Aizawa what are you doing?" He asked lightly, testing the taughtness of the scarf holding him back.

Under his layers the older man stiffened. Even without his quirk the kid was incredibly strong. "I'm stopping you from killing a fellow student on the first day. You need to save that for the team exercises at the least."

Harry thought over the words, nodded, and completely relaxed. The action causing the scarf end to fall to the floor.

"Also," Aizawa looked at his wristwatch, "It's almost noon and you're not wearing protective equipment. You'll find a pond two hundred meters north of here. You know what to do."

Harry nodded. Then he leaned down to kiss his girlfriend thoroughly. Once that was done he opened one of the class windows and jumped through. Some in the class were a little worried by this but the unconcerned look on their teachers face eased them.

"Alright then," Aizawa said as he picked Bakugo up, "I'm going to have a chat with this troublemaker, the rest of you open your books to the introductory chapter. Once you have read that change into your gym uniforms and meet me outside."

A chorus of "Yes Sensei's" were heard and then were silenced by the swish of the hallway door closing behind him. Bakugo by this point was leaning against the wall.

"The fuck do you want?" He hissed at the teacher. "I had that asshole exactly where I wanted-"

"You had no such thing and you know it." The sensei interrupted him. "I know Harry, hell I even helped train him, so trust me when I say you never stood a chance against him. As far as I'm concerned you stuck a thorn in a bear's side and got the payback you deserved."

"But we aren't here to talk about that." He crossed his arms and glared down at the unruly student. "Why exactly do you think you are here in this school Bakugo?"

The student in question just sneered at his senior. "Because I aced that shitty written test and your school saw the inevitability of my rise to number one. They wanted that person to graduate from their school to keep the prestige. What school wouldn't want to train two number ones in a row?"

Aizawa huffed. "You are wrong on pretty much every point. As far as number ones go, yeah we're training him, but he's not you. Every teacher here believes in Harry Yamada and his rise. No, you are here because every single school psychologist and teacher you have seen from elementary to primary school came to us on their knees and begged for us to place you here."

That stopped Bakugo up short. "What?" Was all he could ask.

Aizawa snorted at the dumbstruck look on his student's face. "Yes. They brought us hundreds of reports of horrible classroom and student interactions, accusations of extreme bullying, and near psychotic outbursts. They came and begged us to let you in because they were afraid of the harm you would bring others if we didn't. Your parents also came forward with similar worries."

"Y-your lying." The spiky haired boy stammered, only to be let down.

"I'm not. You see you weren't accepted into this school because anyone believed in your chances to be the greatest hero. You were accepted here because everyone in your life was worried you'd turn to villainy otherwise. This is honestly your last chance to be any kind of hero and I'm warning you now that I will not tolerate the attitude you displayed in that classroom. Keep it up and I will expel you. You've been warned."

With that he pulled the unruly student back into the classroom and the day progressed without incident. The students were tested on their physical and quirk capabilities, threatened with expulsion, and eventually told he was joking. Some asked about Harry's absence, but Aizawa told them he'd already completed the test in advance.

Harry himself met back up with them in the classroom after that and the rest of the day went off without a hitch. Lessons carried on, friendships started up, and Bakugo sat in the back of the room with his arms crossed in anger. When the final bell rang, the students started making their way out. Harry quickly made plans to spend time with Momo and Izuku. He loved spending time with her, and though he was an often nervous wreck, Harry believed Izuku had hidden depths beneath the surface and wanted to help bring it forth. What are friends for after all?
