Hello everyone! I'm back again with another mini-chapter for you. Hope you enjoy it!

Let's get this show on the road!

Today they told me I was too old to stay.

When they told me that, I didn't know what to think. I didn't even know how old I was in the first place. How many years have I been here, in this cage, alone?

Too many. That's all I know.

How many years have I stared at the clouds? How many years have I survived off of the terrible food here? How many?

Too many. That's all I know.

I was just in my cage like any other day, when I suddenly heard the lock clicking open. I turned to look, and there was the evil sheep in the doorway. I recoiled to the back walls of the room. I don't why I was still so scared of her. I was only a few inches shorter than her now. But still, she scared me more than any monster under any bed could ever dream.

Instead of coming in, she stepped aside and an old ram walked in. For the briefest of moments, I made the mistake of letting my hopes soar. Finally, I thought with triumph. Someone has come to take me home! It didn't matter where, anyplace would be home compared to here.

But my hopes were soon dashed like the rocks on the seaside by the angry ocean waves. I took one good look at him and knew that he wasn't interested in adoption. The old ram kept his back straight, his chin up, and his hooves clasped behind his back. His clothes were made of silk and not a single wrinkle could be found on them. He wore a pair of spectacles on the bridge of his nose, and behind them were a pair of cold, uncaring eyes.

He looked around the room first, and then looked at me.

"Hmm, yes, I see the problem, ma'am," he told the evil sheep. "But don't worry, we will be able to take good care of her. Our new institution is especially equipped to handle patients of such…" he struggled to find the right word. "Uniqueness," he finished.

Upon hearing this, my ears perked up.

"You're taking me somewhere?" I asked, my voice quiet and timid.

Once more, he set his cold eyes on me. I then realized that they weren't cold; they were just empty. There was simply nothing there. He might as well have been looking at the wall. It would have generated the same look.

"Yes, my darling," he said, although I didn't like the way he said "darling." It was as if he had said it many times before, but never to someone he actually cared about.

"I'm afraid that you're getting too old to stay here, but we have a nice place set up where you may stay for as long as you need." With that, he nodded to the evil sheep, who was eager to get out of my room, and he left.

The sheep quickly grabbed me by the wrist and dragged me along with her, her eyes never making contact with mine.

So I was too old, he said. How many years had I been here, then? I only know one thing.

Too many.

Thank you for tuning in to the latest chapter! I'm afraid that I only have one chapter for you this time instead of three. Apologies, I've had some… other stuff I've had to do recently :)

But I'll try to get more chapters out more frequently! See you then!
