Summary: Ella teaches her sisters about responsibility after they listen to music infused butterflies.
Under a starry night, a luxurious rose-pink convertible was sitting at an alleyway. Taylor Martin held a pink butterfly with translucent pale pink highlights in her hand as she watched the insect fluttering its wings to play a pop-sounding tune.
"This flusic is amazing! Can I pay for another one?" Taylor asked.
"Absolutely." Crimson Dazzler grinned. She charged three pure white butterflies with sound energy in her hand and placed them in a case before handing it over to Taylor. "Trust me, those nerds are gonna flip once they saw the flusics."
"Oh, you have no idea how easily jealous they can be." Taylor concurred.
"I don't think so, Dazzler!"
Ella stood on a building rooftop while placing her hands on her hips. She jumped off the rooftop and landed on the hood of the convertible.
"I'm shutting your deadly butterflies down!" Ella said.
"Ella?" Taylor said. "What's with the outfit?"
Ella landed in front of Taylor and snatched the case out of her hands.
"Excuse me!" Taylor snapped in a snobby tone.
Ella lifted her hand and unleashed a red shining powder in front of Taylor's face, putting the high schooler asleep on the ground instantly.
Suddenly, the sound of a revving convertible caught Ella's attention.
"If it weren't for you, I'd have gotten away with it, you pesky mage!" Crimson Dazzler shouted.
Crimson Dazzler grabbed the steering wheel and pressed down on the pedal, driving off into the road out of the alleyway.
"Oh man. She got away." Ella said. She let out a shrug and looked at the case. "Well, at least, I know she'll be back with these musical insects."
Ella then looked down at the sleeping Taylor.
"But first." Ella said.
In the Crete Fortress, Ella walked in the living room.
"Hello?" Ella called out. "Girls? Hey!" She shrugged her shoulders. "Oh well. They're obviously asleep…as usual."
Ella walked straight into Donna's lab and opened one of the cabinets.
"I'll let Donna analyze the case as soon as possible." Ella said.
Ella placed the case inside and closed the cabinet door. She then twisted her hand into a fist and opened it in the air to close the cabinet with caution tapes out of magic.
Ella let out a tiring yawn and slowly went to her room.
The next day, Ella opened up the cabinet in Donna's lab and saw that the case was gone.
"What the?!" Ella cried out in shock.
In the living room, three mystics listened to the fluttering flusics on the couch. One flusic was orange, another was red, and the third was yellow.
"I'm not much of a country fan, but these butterflies are so cool!" Lee smiled as she looked at the country-sounding flusic.
"Techno is normally my choice of music, but rock is now officially awesome!" Donna grinned as she held a rock-sounding flusic in her hand.
"I never thought classical will be like listening to the angels!" Ellie said with a joyful smile as she stared at the classical-sounding flusic.
"GIRLS!" Ella shouted from Donna's lab.
Lee, Donna, and Ellie's eyes widened at their sister's loud voice. Ella ran out of the lab and into the living room.
"What do you think you're doing?!" Ella yelled. "Did you not see the caution tapes?! Those things are powered by Crimson Dazzler's sound magic!"
"Oh please, like we're gonna fall for that." Lee said.
"Yeah, you're just trying to keep these precious butterflies to yourself." Ellie said teasingly.
"What?" Ella said slowly.
"Oh, come on." Donna said as she looked up at her older sister accusingly. "Like the time when you made our training start an hour early because we're always late?"
"Or the time when you told me that a Leviathan will thrash me in my sleep if I don't feed it the octopus once a week?" Ellie added with a grin.
"I ONLY DO THAT BECAUSE YOU NITWITS ARE IRRESPONSIBLE, THAT'S WHY!" Ella yelled irritatingly as she glared down at the frightened Donna and Ellie.
"Ella, come on. You're overreacting." Lee said. "Seriously, how bad can these butterflies be?"
"Alright, fine. I'll check it out." Donna said. She pulled down her high-tech sunglasses and examined the flusic in her hand. "OMG! This butterfly is carrying a lot of mystical energy! Better analyze this, so I can whip up an antidote."
"Now, you're talking, D." Ella grinned.
An orange flusic started flying onto Lee's arm undetectably and fused into her skin, causing itself to explode into orangish particles.
"Uh, girls? I don't feel so good." Lee said as she cringed in pain.
Ella, Ellie, and Donna quickly turned their heads to see an orangish smoke releasing around Lee's entire body. After the smoke was cleared, Lee has orange skin and wore a white and blue plaid shirt, white pants with a black belt that has a spade-shaped buckle, and black cowboy boots.
"Howdy, y'all!" Lee greeted with a wink.
Soon after, a yellow flusic flew onto Elle's arm and fused into her skin in yellowish exploding particles while a red flusic flew onto Donna's arm and fused into her skin in reddish exploding particles. A yellowish smoke and a reddish smoke began covering Ellie and Donna's entire body.
After the smokes cleared, Ellie has yellow skin and wore a black coat with golden borders over an orange tuxedo-leotard, mauve-gray leggings, and black flat shoes while Donna has reddish skin and wore a purple tank top with a black skull that exposed her belly button, a dark purple skirt with a black studded belt, black fingerless gloves, and black combat boots.
"What a lovely coat I might say." Ellie spoke elegantly as she looked at her coat.
"Rock on!" Donna hollered with two rock-on gestures.
Ella's eye twitched in disbelief at what she just witnessed.
"So much for an antidote now." Ella muttered with a deadpan face.
"Relax, Ella." Ellie assured as she walked up to Ella. "I'm sure you have a plan to fix it."
"That's right. Ella can roundup anything." Lee added.
"And that's the problem! You girls always expect me to solve everything and we'll never be a team unless you three learn how to solve things on your own." Ella said firmly as she crossed her arms over her chest. "Starting today, all of you are going to learn responsibility on their own from now on. Now, who's got an idea on how we can track down Crimson Dazzler and find an antidote?"
"Okay, if you wish, dear sister." Ellie said.
Ellie waved her hand back and forth with a grabbing shape to construct an orange baton out of magic. She waved her baton around and showed a projecting screen of a familiar dust to her older sisters.
"My classical instinct help me a clue that can help." Ellie said. "In those butterflies, I saw specs of Arcane dust. Maybe Azalea can help us since this family's first bionic mystic."
"Alright then, good luck on your mission." Ella said.
Ella noticed that Lee is playing a guitar out of her magic, Ellie is waving her baton like a conductor, and Donna is whipping her hair in a rock and roll style.
"Ugh, I'll drive." Ella groaned as she rolled her eyes.
Outside, the Sonicruiser came to a stop at the apartment building.
"You want me to go in? Why can you do it?" Lee asked, pointing her finger at Ella. "You know, we can call her, right?"
"We need to know where Crimson Dazzler is. That and she doesn't have a cell phone yet." Ella said. She pushed Lee out of the vehicle. "Now, get in there."
"Fine." Lee groaned as she crossed her arms over her chest.
Lee stomped into the apartment building and finally made her way up into Azalea's door. She knocked politely on the door and Azalea opened the door. She was wearing a black crop top and dark grey shorts.
"Leona." Azalea said with a smile. "What do I own the pleasure?" She raised an eyebrow at Lee's outfit. "And what's with the outfit?"
"Hey, Azalea." Lee greeted. "I came here to ask you about anyone who uses Arcane dust and ignore the outfit."
"Of course." Azalea said. "Follow me."
Azalea escorted Lee inside and lifted her hand to conjure a giant blue globe filled with information. She searched through all contact in order to locate a mystic mutant until she finally found one and pulled up the information.
"There." Azalea said. "Crimson Dazzler's address."
Lee took out her phone and captured a picture of the address.
"Thanks." Lee said.
Lee sat on the seat and played her guitar with a relaxed smile in the Sonicruiser.
"Well, rock on finding the address, Lee." Donna said.
"Don't worry, Ella's gonna bail us out for sure." Ellie smiled as she moved closely to Ella.
"And I'm not bailing you out! It's sad that you girls are totally lost without me." Ella said as she pushed Ellie away. "Now, with Crimson Dazzler's address, Donna's science will take it from here."
"Why would I waste my time with science when I could just use the Sonicruiser's auto-location?" Donna said.
Suddenly, the Sonicruiser started driving in the road in faster speed. Donna screamed wildly, Lee and Ellie huddled close together with loud screams, and Ella held onto her seat tightly.
"Since when did you install this car's auto-location?" Ella screamed.
"Since you sent Lee to get info on Crimson Dazzler from Azalea!" Donna hollered with a wild smile. "I'm quick like that!"
The Sonicruiser stopped itself in the docks. Lee, Donna, and Ellie jumped out of the Sonicruiser as they stood on the stationary dock.
"Crimson Dazzler's over there at that yacht." Donna said as she pointed her finger to Sonicruiser's hot pink swan shaped mega yacht. "Man, that is remarkably designed to her taste."
"Okay, Ella, time to smash yourself aboard and pound Crimson Dazzler into giving us the antidote!" Ellie declared.
Then, Ellie's phone rang and she answered the call on speaker.
"Nice try, Ellie. What part about solving this yourselves don't you understand?" Ella sighed from the phone. "Just go inside and get it over with."
"Well, you heard her, y'all. This is our mission that we got to handle ourselves." Lee said as she crossed her arms.
Crimson Dazzler pulled out a small container of blue Arcane dust and dashed a little dust on a pure butterfly in an open jar inside the yacht's kitchen.
Lee, Donna, and Ellie suddenly barged themselves in the kitchen through the window.
"Okay, Crimson Sellout." Lee said. "Hand over the antidote or else!"
"A cowgirl? A conductor? And a rocker? Ha, that's what you get for interfering with my plan to be a star again!" Crimson Dazzler said. "Let's even the score, shall we?"
Lee charged first and lifted her hand to fire a blue magical energy beam at Crimson Dazzler. But the robotic mystic lifted her arm with pink sound energy and blocked the attack with a powerful shield. Crimson Dazzler then slammed her hand to the ground and created a pink pillar of sound energy that sent Lee flying through the ceiling and disappearing in the sky.
"OMG!" Donna gasped.
Crimson Dazzler spun herself around in rapid speed and unleashed transparent pink sound waves to hit Donna, sending her into the wall. Before Donna could get up, Lee landed on top of her.
"Ow!" Donna said with a groan.
Crimson Dazzler turned her head to Ellie, who began charging forward. Ellie readied to fire her magic with her acrobatic moves. But Crimson Dazzler formed a large swirling pink sound waves around her whole body and released them at her.
Since Ellie didn't hang up from her phone, Ella can hear everything going on from the battle. But she paid no attention. She is too busy playing handheld game console in the Sonicruiser.
Back in the yacht, Crimson Dazzler started approaching to the mystics.
"Looks like you three can use a tune up." Crimson Dazzler grinned.
"I knew we'd never be able to do this without Ella!" Ellie exclaimed.
"No, we can. And we can prove it." Donna said as she sat up. She turned to Lee. "Lee, give us a country beat."
Lee produced a blue banjo out of her magic and unleashed a blast of blue star-shaped waves that hit Crimson Dazzler directly with a distorted supersonic noise, making the robotic mystic cover her ears in pain. Donna constructed a purple electric guitar made of magical energy and created purple musical notes up from beneath Crimson Dazzler that produced a loud screeching noise at her. Ellie waved her baton and sent numerous orange musical notes that released the colorful flusics flying out of the jars and around Crimson Dazzler.
Lee, Ellie, and Donna watched as the flusics began fusing into Crimson Dazzler's skin, causing themselves to explode into colorish particles.
"Oh no!" Crimson Dazzler screamed.
A rainbow-colored smoke released around Crimson Dazzler's entire body. After the smoke was cleared, her skin was in all different kind of colors. Lee, Donna, and Ellie stare at Crimson Dazzler in shock. Crimson Dazzler moved towards the cabinets, which one of them has the antidote.
"That must be the antidote!" Ellie exclaimed.
Ellie waved her baton and sent out a long rope to wrap around the white-colored vial. She pulled it to her mouth and transformed back to normal with a smile. Lee snatched the vial and drank some, reverting back to normal. Donna took the vial from Lee and drank it to turn herself back to normal.
Crimson Dazzler noticed that the antidote only has one drop left.
"Wait, wait a minute." Crimson Dazzler spoke nervously. "Let's talk this over, okay?"
"Uh, yeah, no." Lee said quickly as she took the antidote from Donna.
Lee tossed the antidote away, making Crimson Dazzler scream in horror. Crimson Dazzler sped right past Donna, Ellie, and Lee through the door after the vial, but she ended up getting stuck in it.
Later, Ella looked up at the screen and saw her sisters cured from the flusic effect. She opened the door and met up with Lee, Donna, and Ellie.
"See? I knew you girls could do it." Ella said with a smile. "Now, let's go get pizza."
"Yeah!" Lee, Donna, and Ellie cheered.
"Hey, Donna, did you leave something important in Dazzler's yacht?" Lee asked Donna.
"Yup." Donna replied with a smile. "And I got the feeling that she won't like my surprise."
Meanwhile, Crimson Dazzler finally slipped out of the doorway. She took the vial in her hand and drank the last drop, which was enough to turn her back to normal.
"Oh, that's much better." Crimson Dazzler sighed happily.
Crimson Dazzler tossed the vial over her shoulder into the ocean and walked back into the kitchen only to be cover in glittering dust that exploded all over her and around the kitchen thanks to a ticking bomb that Donna left behind.
All Crimson Dazzler can do is scream angrily.
