"Come meet your daughter, Randy." Sharon had never looked so tired. Or so happy.
Randy approached his wife's bedside, trying as hard as he could to mask his disappointment.
So much for Pinewood Derby races and Little League games, Randy thought to himself. And who's going to carry on the family name?
The nurse placed the squalling infant into his arms.
Randy looked down at his new daughter, taking in her big blue eyes and the light brown fuzz covering her head. He could already see Sharon's features in her face.
Randy's disappointment slowly started to melt away as he continued to gaze at the baby. Thoughts of missing out on Pinewood Derby and Little League were replaced with the image of giving his daughter away at her wedding.
Randy choked up as Shelly stopped wailing and nestled into his chest. He was amazed at how vulnerable she was, how delicate-
"OW!" Randy howled as the newborn's tiny fist connected with his eye.
"Randy?" Sharon sat up, alarmed. "What's wrong?"
"She- she hit me!" Randy wailed.
Sharon rolled her eyes at her husband's hysterics. "She didn't do it on purpose, Randy."
"It hurts!"
"She's ten minutes old, Randy. It's not like she's going to cause any damage. Stop overreacting."
"I think she gave me a black eye!"
"Really, Randy! I doubt that - oh my God, it's swelling!"
It's clear that Randy blatantly favors Stan over Shelly in canon, no matter how much the fandom tries to deny this. However, at the same time, he clearly does love Shelly. He loves BOTH of his kids.
