Takes place during "Band in China"

I uploaded the previous chapter last night, in case you missed it.

"Why do I have to go to this stupid thing?" Shelly protested as she followed her mother and grandfather through the crowd at Autumn Fest. "I don't want to listen to the turd's stupid band!"

"Enough, Shelly!" Sharon scolded. "This is a big day for your brother! He needs the support of his family. Especially with your father being out of town."

Shelly growled under her breath. Her family never showed HER any support, but of course her mom insisted on going all out for the turd. She caught a glimpse of Kevin sitting with his family, but she was too pissed off to wave to him.

"Up next we have four of our local South Park fourth graders who have formed a band. Let's hear it for Stan Marsh and Crimson Dawn!"

Shelly rolled her eyes. Of course the turd gave himself top billing. He always had to be the center of the fucking universe.

"Um, hi. We're Crimson Dawn and um, this is a song I wrote about living out in the country on a farm," Stan said timidly.

This is going to be a complete shit show, Shelly thought to herself. The turd is already a nervous wreck!

Shelly's scowl barely masked her surprise an awesome guitar riff blasted from the stage.

Okay, so he's been practicing. The song isn't over yet! Shelly mused, waiting for her brother to screw up.

Fate is over!
Open your eyes!

He totally plagiarized this! Shelly scoffed to herself. There's no way that the turd wrote something this awesome!

GET ME OFF THIS FARM!

There is no hope, no second chance!
All the elders saw the fall of the sky!
Pride and glory!
To touch the sky, we've burned the earth!
Built our own infirmity!

GET ME OFF THIS FARM!

In spite of herself, Shelly was enjoying the song. She hadn't heard lyrics that spoke to her so much since… She Who Shall Not Be Named.

An unfamiliar sensation overcame Shelly as Stan screamed on. She tried to push it away, but it kept returning.

She was actually proud of the turd!

As her brother's band finally finished their song, Shelly had to restrain herself from joining in on the smattering of applause. She wasn't about to give the turd the satisfaction.

She had a reputation to uphold, after all.
