Summary: In a nid to save New York and the Hidden City, the Lotus prepare for their greatest battle yet.
The Lotus Ninjas gathered in the Egyptian style room of the underground temple, where Azazel was comforting his descendants and Alisa sat on the back of her father's neck. Donna, Lee, and Ellie stared at Ella, who refused to face them.
"What were you thinking, Ella? We can't just abandon them there with Lady Shade!" Lee demanded angrily. "We have to go back!"
"We can't!" Ella retorted she turned around to face her sisters. "If we stayed, Lady Shade would've crushed us. It's what mom said: as long as there is a Dragoness, there is a chance of hope."
"What chance of hope? Our magic are hopeless against Lady Shade." Lee said sadly.
"She's right!" Donna agreed. "We've got no spells! No lair! No mom! No Azalea! No Grandma Raven!"
"And no Uncle Kage..." Ellie said with a sad frown.
Ellie looked down to the floor with heavy tears in her eyes. Ella, Lee, and Donna moved to their youngest sister as they hugged Ellie softly and Ellie hugged them back tightly.
"Okay, I'm the oldest here. If we're rescue our family, we need a plan." Ella said. "A plan to save mom, Raven, and Azalea, stop Lady Shade, find Angel, and prevent the destruction of all humanity and mystickind."
Donna, Lee, and Ellie nodded their heads with determination.
Back in the destroyed Crete Fortress, three Dragoness mystics are being levitated in mid-air while chained up by Lady Shade's magic.
"Strange." Lady Shade said. "I thought destroying Kage would've given me his power, but I don't feel any different."
"Lady Shade, if I may." Luna said as she stepped in front of Lady Shade. "We have the information you seek in case something like this happen."
Luna summoned her tessen and opened it up to project an image of a giant statue in front of Lady Shade.
"In order to extract the Dragoness essence, you will need the ancient compound known as Empyrean." Luna explained. "Not only it's very rare, but also very valuable."
"Long ago, the Empyrean was responsible for mutating the entire Yokai race and the original substance of mystical power...in the Hidden City."
Meanwhile, Angel woke up and stood on the ground. She quickly ran out of Donna's lab and witnessed a totally destroyed fortress right in front of her eyes.
"Uh no." Angel muttered as she looked around the living room.
Angel then heard a low groan. She turned her head to see golden yellow light coming from a large rubble. She rushed over and moved the large rubble. She looked down at Kage, who was surrounded by golden yellow aura in a life-threatening condition.
"Kage!" Angel gasped. "Are you okay? I got to get you to a hospital immediately!"
"No, we don't have much time." Kage said. He touched Angel's cheek, making her eyes narrow sadly. "I'm afraid I won't be able to finish this journey. Now you must teach the family and finish what I've started."
"Me? But how? I'm...I'm not one of you!" Angel said. She looked away with a sad frown. "I'm not a mystic."
Kage grabbed Angel's hand, making her turn back to him.
"Oh, my dear." Kage said with a gentle smile. "Mystic or not, you have always been one of us."
Angel smiled softly and grasped Kage's hand. Kage's aura suddenly engulfed Angel's body, lifting her up in the air.
"Whoa!" Angel said. "What's happening?"
The golden yellow aura enveloped Angel, making her eyes glow in golden yellow light. Kage's memories of his Majedite form and his Dragoness training began absorbing into Angel's brain.
Angel closed her eyes as she slowly landed on the ground. She was wearing a black cropped hoodie over a black jumpsuit with bright grey leg sleeves with fading transitions between the thighs and hips, and dark grey combat boots.
"Now go. Find our family." Kage said.
Kage closed his eyes and faded away.
Angel opened her eyes and grinned determinedly.
Back at the underground temple, the Lotus Ninjas gathered together in a circle.
"So, the first step of our plan is to learn how to unlock our Majedite form." Lee said.
"Our family's otherworldly form that allows us to harness some crazy alien energy." Ella said.
"Except the fact that we don't know how to use it." Donna pointed out.
Suddenly, Angel teleported safely in the room and landed on the ground with a deep breath.
"Angel?" Ella said with wide eyes as she and her sisters turned around to notice their friend's arrival.
"Girls!" Angel smiled. She ran up to the Lotus Ninjas and leaned close towards their faces. "OMG! You won't believe what happened! I woke up out of the lab, and found the fortress totally destroyed. Then, I found Kage and now his voice is inside my head!"
"So, let me get this straight. You found Uncle Kage in the fortress, and he transferred his magic and consciousness into you?" Donna asked in confusion.
"Yes." Angel answered simply.
The Lotus Ninjas quickly hugged Angel.
"I can't believe it! Uncle Kage is alive!" Lee smiled happily.
Donna, Ella, Lee, and Ellie then knelt down in front of Angel.
"Now that he's inside you, you can instruct us the art of the Majedite." Ella said.
"Let's get started." Angel said as she pressed her hands together.
The Lotus Ninjas and Angel sat on floating platforms above a large lake filled with many geodes underwater.
"Kage says to access your inner power, you have to stay calm and feel connected to each other." Angel instructed.
Ella closed her eyes and began concentrating on the platform while Donna, Lee, and Ellie are having a hard time concentrating calmly.
"Forget it, Angel. I'm not exactly feeling calm right now." Lee said.
"Me too." Donna agreed.
"Same here." Ellie concurred sadly.
"Let me clarify. He wants you to feel connected in here." Angel explained as she touched her chest. "When you first open it, it'll feel like a blooming flower...and then you'll feel like exploding fireworks of power...you know?"
Donna, Lee, and Ellie stared silently at Angel.
"Okay, what you just said makes absolutely no sense at all!" Donna said. She crossed her arms over her chest. "Are you sure Kage told you this information?"
"Listen, this is my first time having a weird Dragoness spirit in my head!" Angel snapped. "So, get off my back!"
Ella ignored the argument between Angel, Donna, Lee, and Ellie. All rapid flashbacks of her battle with Lady Shade, leaving her family behind in the fortress, and witnessing Kage on the ground in a near-death moment while looking up with a hopeful smile on his face started overwhelming Ella's mind. She tried to stay calm, but she couldn't do it anymore.
"WILL YOU GUYS SHUT UP?!" Ella hollered.
Angel, Donna, Lee, and Ellie stopped arguing as they stared at Ella's sudden outburst in shocking silence.
"We're running out of time and everyone's depending on me!" Ella said. Her tears then started streaming down her face. "I want to save our mom, Azalea, Raven, and the dang world, but I don't know how! I...I'm sorry that I failed you."
Donna, Lee, and Ellie stared at their oldest sister with sad faces. This is the first time they witness Ella crying right in front of them.
"I have to be the leader to get us ready and fight Lady Shade...but I feel so lost right now." Ella said. "I don't know what to do anymore."
Angel looked at Ella sympathetically. Before she could say anything, her eyes turned golden yellow. Donna, Lee, and Ellie turned their attention as they watched a golden yellow ghostly figure rising out of Angel's body.
"It's alright, Rafaela."
Ella's eyes widened at the familiar voice. She looked up to see Kage's ghost in front of her.
"Uncle Kage...?" Ella said with a happy smile.
Ella immediately hugged Kage with a sobbing face. Donna, Lee, and Ellie ran over and hugged their great-uncle with crying smiles.
"You are not alone in this battle, Rafaela." Kage said as he placed his hand on Ella's shoulder. "The power of a Majedite does not come from you alone. It comes from all who came before you. From your family."
All the members of the Dragoness, including Calluna and Camellia, appeared behind Ella. Donna, Lee, Ellie, and Angel looked at them with surprised faces.
"It's not all on you." Kage continued. "We're here for each other. Trust your family the way your sisters and your friend trust you."
Ella recalled herself diving down from the building to save Lee in her Majedite form.
"That's right." Ella said in realization. "I unlocked my Majedite power and save Lee when she fell down."
"Trust your sisters and your family." Kage said.
Ella smiled gently as Kage disappeared into Angel's body.
"He's right, Ella." Ellie said as she, her sisters, and Angel stood up in the platform with smiles. "No matter what happens, we're gonna figure it out together."
"Because none of us are alone." Ella said. She then stood up and closed her eyes. "We're here for each other. Always."
"Ella, what are you doing?" Donna asked in concern.
Ella stepped backwards and fell off the platform.
"ELLA!" Donna, Lee, and Ellie cried with horrified faces.
Donna, Lee, and Ellie ran forward and jumped after their oldest sister.
"ELLA!" Donna, Lee, and Ellie screamed.
Suddenly, something powerful pumped in a heartbeat motion within Donna, Lee, and Ellie.
A Lotus symbol appeared on Donna, Lee, and Ellie's foreheads, causing their eyes to glow white in determination. The symbols on their foreheads swirled powerful surge of magical energy around Donna, Lee, and Ellie. A swirl of orange diamonds surrounded Ellie, a swirl of purple clovers encircled Donna, and a swirl of blue spades enclosed Lee. Ella opened her eyes and grinned at her sisters. She then noticed a glowing Lotus symbol on her forehead as she was surrounded in a swirl of red hearts. Four mystic sisters smiled at each other before landing on the lake down below.
Angel backflipped off the floating platform and landed on the ground near the lake effortlessly.
Donna, Lee, Ella, and Ellie slowly levitated slightly above the surface of the lake. They all have successfully unlocked their Majedite forms. They wore a white qipao dress with slits that reaches to their thighs and flared half sleeves surmounted by a black yoke decorated with a glowing Lotus symbol, dark grey leggings, and dark gray laced boots. Their hairs are now styled made out of pure magical energy and have glowing white eyes. Donna has dark purple skin, Lee has dark blue skin, Ella has dark red skin, and Ellie has dark orange skin.
"You did it!" Angel cheered. "You unlocked your Majedite!"
Donna, Lee, Ella, and Ellie hugged each other with proud smile.
"Wow, we look hot!" Lee said as she and Ellie examined their dresses.
"I feel so powerful." Donna grinned.
"Now, let's go take out Lady Shade!" Ella declared.
Lady Shade and her Shadow Clan squad arrived at the Hidden City. Lady Shade was observing the vast subterranean world with a devious smile.
"Well done, my clan." Lady Shade said to Luna, Nova, and Shadow Recruit. "With the Empyrean, I can harness the Dragoness energy and make myself eternal."
Saldana, Raven, and Azazel glared at Lady Shade as tears streamed down on their faces for the loss of Kage.
The Lotus Ninjas and Angel stared at the holographic map of the Hidden City that Donna had conjured up.
"No doubt Lady Shade already took mom, Raven. and Azalea to the Hidden City." Ella said.
"But how do we find them?" Angel asked.
"I know where they are."
Ella, Angel, Donna, Ellie, and Lee turned around to see Azazel walking up to them while holding Alisa's hand.
"The place that started the Hidden City." Azazel said.
