Natsuki's POV

"Uhmnn..."

My head feels fuzzy a little. I open my eyes and saw darkness, which turned blurry slightly and bright white on my right side. My vision slowly became clear due to couple of blinks.

"what...?"

I eyed on the right side seeing a window and a full moon shining down on my face. I looked left and saw nothing but darkness but it was slightly easy to see thanks to the moonlight. I was laying on a comfy cushion on my back, I have no clue on how i got here.

"where am i?"

I sit up and looked around, it was still pretty dark to see but I could make out a little bit of my surroundings. I saw what seemed to be a desk not far from where I'm at, a wardrobe, right in front of me I think.

This feels strange, this doesn't feel like my room, nor does it look like it. The last thing I remember was being in the literature club with the rest of the members. I was reading manga until I glimpse over my manga and...My memory went blank after that.

I keep glancing around, it was hard to make out much but this feels off, it was quiet. Too quiet, I would at least hear natural bug noises or possibly car noises in the distance. Is not like nights like these shouldn't be too quiet but, it feels like no ones here.

I looked back at my bed and realized I was underneath the blankets, apparently red blankets. I don't have red blankets, I have a pink blanket that has cute cat faces engraved in my blanket.

I am not in my home, but why am i in a stranger house? I need to get out of bed and turn on the damn lights, I'm getting spook.

I push the blankets aside and got out of bed, I notice that my shoes were on the ground right where I'm sitting.

"how did that...?"

I realize that wearing shoes in bed is weird, but I don't remember taking off my shoes. I push those thoughts aside for now and put on my shoes, I notice that they're my school shoes, and I was wearing my outfit.

I got out of bed now searching for the light switch, which wasn't that easy. I feel around as I touched the desk as I moved to my right then felt air. I then reach a wall and feel around, I soon feel a switch and flick it on.

"Finally."

I turned around looking at the small room I was in, it definitely looks like a boys room. I saw the desk which was on the right side on the wall and on the other end was a computer desk with a rolling chair as well.

This room was small, much smaller than mines but that doesn't matter right now. How the hell did I got here?

I'm pretty confused at the moment but I think I need to get out of here, is not right to be in a house which isn't mines. Besides, the owner could come back any second.

The door was right next to me as I went up to it and grab the knob and twist it, it didn't open.

"what?!"

I nearly said outloud, I inspect further and notice a locked, and looked stupid.

"oh."

I twist the lock and then heard a bellowing roar which was not human.

"oh shi--"

This made my heart cold, I almost panic while I was frantically looking around, my fight or flight kicked in and it was certainly flight mode. I actually locked the door again, i'm not letting whatever that was in here.

I heard loud footsteps on a wooden floor which creak with every step, coming closer.

"ohmygod ohmygod...!"

I was searching in the room for anything, hiding or try to get out. I notice the large wooden wardrobe, the doors were pretty big enough for me to hide in, hopefully.

I wasn't so sure but it was very close to the room I'm in, I could hear it right outside. And I thought my dad approaching my room was scary.

I took the opportunity to hide in the wardrobe, without a second guess. I opened it and it was wide enough for me to hide in, the clothes were hanging on the clothing rack near the top, on each end.

I entered without a second to spare, I turned around and sit then heard that monster out there starting to ram the door. That made me jumped and i nearly let out a yelp, I reach for the doors edge and close it to my best attempt, which was nearly all the way.

That monster continues to ram into the door which broke not long after. I was scared beyond belief, I was shaking, I felt like this was my last day.

I heard is huffing breath which sounded scary, like a animal but only worst. It then scratch the wall right next to me and I heard a flick, it turned off the lights.

"Oh god..."

That what came into my mind, is footsteps were pretty loud, even know the floor was a carpet. I could hear is breathing on the other side, it was right in front of the wardrobe.

It moved around and I heard mechanical springs, I think he putting pressure on the bed. Thank god i didn't decide to hide underneath the bed.

That mechanical noise was heard again and it moved close to where I'm at. I heard bellowing groans right in front of me, does it knows that I'm right in here?

I hold my breath, I wasn't gonna risk it by breathing loudly which actually paid off, I heard a loud groan and those loud footsteps were going away, In the hallway.

I was breathing again, that was intense, but right now I need to get the hell out of here. But that's what I'm afraid of.

I push the doors open and put one foot down and then the other. It was hard to see as I reach the light switch and turn on the light.

I saw the scratch marks on the wall, their was many of them. I looked at the door and it was hanging a bit, the top hatch was broken.

I turned back looking at the room and it seems to be fine, expect for the bed, it has the blanket rip a little.

I notice the windows and decided to just climb out, I went on the bed and attempted to open it, but I didn't see any latches except for a little handle in the middle.

The handle was on a frame with a keyhole, I twisted both of the handles and it was locked.

"you got to be--!"

I nearly said outloud, that could of been bad.

"fuck!"

I have to get out of here through a different way, most likely the front door. Great.

I looked back seeing the dark hall, I wasn't going to like this, that monster is out there and I am stuck in here with it. This is the worst.

I sigh and turned and got out of bed, I mentally prepared myself and move forward, this feels like walking through those scary walkthroughs in amusement parks, I hate those. At least I wasn't in real danger back then.

I entered the hallway, looking back and forth, I wasn't far from the stairs on my left so I didn't bother checking out rooms, I want to get out of here as quickly as possible.

There was light shining right next to the stairs, but beside that the whole house was pretty dark. I cautiously went down the stairs hearing the stairs creak with every step. Damn stairs.

So far I didn't heard any noises or sounds, where is that thing? How big is this house?

I went around the stair on the right side and approach the lamplight, it was the only light source I can find.

This whole house is dark, is hard to find the front entrance, hopefully I'm close.

I turned around facing where the end of the stairs and see the next room. I wasn't going to keep moving without a light source, I looked back and see the long drawer that the lamplights was on.

I decided to check in them, pulling each one and only finding useless stuff until I was near the second to last drawer on is left side. It was a thin red flashlight as I pull it out, it had a button to turn it on by the bottom of the flashlight.

I was about to click on the button until I heard footsteps and huffing noises on the other side.

"oh fuck!"

I looked around and see the dark area around the wall behind me. I went around the corner of the wall and turned on my flashlight, I was very close to a couch, it was turned left.

On the other end was a small rounded table and another couch by the table. I turned off my light and went behind the second couch and hide behind it.

That monster knows where I'm at, it stood there for a second just breathing loudly as it moved pretty slowly. Is footsteps were loud, it was coming to where I'm at.

I quietly went around the couch and was at the other end of the couch, hiding. This was hard trying not to breathe heavily, I couldn't see what it looks like, not that i want to anyways.

It was still breathing close, I stood there as the monster just looking for me. I heard it scratching the couch for some reason, probably upset that it couldn't find me.

Then I heard it moving, away from me, it went forward and around a corner.

"Shit."

That monster is going to be around here, I need to trend carefully. Why am I in this situation.

I turn on my flashlight and notice that I am in the living room, should of notice. I saw a large flat screen t.v on a coffee table, I ignore that and cautiously move on now leaving the living room.

I was reaching another area and saw the front door, i was relieved to see it as i nearly ran to it. I was approaching the door and notice something off, their was a security alarm right next to the door, it has a panel and everything.

"what the--?"

And that wasn't it, the alarm was on and if I even twist the knob it will go off, alerting that monster that I'm right here.

"son of a..."

I notice the top lock was locked so I twisted that, it only goes off for the doorknob, I hope. I twisted it and it made that click sound which was pretty loud, unfortunately for me, I could hear is footsteps not far and it definitely heard it.

It roar loud as my heart drop, I hoped it didn't see me as I turned off my light and notice a wall on the right side not far from where I am.

I went up to it hide behind it, it wasn't good cover let alone a good hiding spot but I got no choice. I heard is footsteps coming real close, I cover my mouth, my heart was beating fast. I heard is loud breathing and felt a glance of is breathe, it felt hot.

That monster was nearly right next to me, almost like is head could be right around the corner. Thankfully it didn't stay long as it turned around and move away, with every loud creaking noise it made.

I took a glimpse at whatever it was and only saw a what I assume was is tail, lighten up thanks to the lamplight.

It was in the living room as I was a bit hesitate to move on, any wrong move and I could see what It looks like. Honestly I would not like to see what it looks like.

At this moment I come up with what to do, I need to turn off that security system if I want to get out of here. Now where could I be to find the security power, in the basement I guess.

I hear that thing now on the other side of the room behind the stairs, I proceed through the living room and waited for that thing to be away from the other side of the house.

It was pretty hard to navigate through this house since I can't turn on my flashlight, it'll probably will see my light.

I was leaving the living room and was in the other end of that room and into another area of the house that I don't know. I turned on my flashlight and looked around and saw a pool table in the middle and a counter. Is that a bar or something cause I see bottles on the other side of the counter.

I ignore that and turn off my flashlight and moved on, it wasn't long until I was reaching the end of the room and reach the corner of the wall and saw a light shining in a doorway from my right.

it seems to go down, it could be going to the basement, I could hear it still moving but it was on the other side, i went to the stairwell and looked down, it definitely lead down to the basement.

I took my step and heard the stairs creak a little, could anything be not so loud? I took another step and heard a loud creak and movement right above me. More creaks were followed, that monster was going back upstairs, good then I don't need to worry about him.

I went down and reach the door and open it, the door creaked as it was dark down there.

I went in and reach for a light switch on the right side of the wall and found it.

I flick it on as the lights shine down in the room, I saw a large shelf right next to the stairs where I'm at. I continue down the stairs looking around, seeing that the basement is just has a lot of junk and trash all over.

I looked forward and saw an electrical box on the wall, I went up to it and open it up. Their was many switches to choose but thankfully they were titled.

I was looking for whatever the security power is until I heard a noise far behind me, it sounded like moving and crush boxes.

I turned my head around and saw nothing, until a box fell from the top shelf. I have a feeling that there's something in here, I hope I'm wrong.

I turned back and looked at the titles, it was difficult trying to find the right switch for the power. I saw a switch with the word: "all power"

I looked at the others and saw one with light switches, so I almost switch the one with all power until I saw the one with: "electric power" And flick the power to off.

I heard a noise like a electric powering down, I guess I got it, just hope is for the security.

I was about to turn around until the lights flicker on and off and I heard a movement from behind me. It sounded like a muscle and odd substance noises.

I turned and turn on my flashlight and saw a white hand coming across from the box, I saw whatever it was moving the boxes aside as I saw what it was.

A white looking linen with large hands that looked sharp. Is carcass was exposed going down to is abdomen. It didn't have any features besides the large exposed insides.

I was horrified at what I'm seeing and start heading to the upstairs door, hearing that thing following after.

I reach the door and was going to close the door and realized that i need to make sure to not slam it, or else that one upstairs will know. I close the door seeing that monster traipsing up the stairs pretty fast as I close it and locked it.

I head back upstairs and reach the top then I heard that thing slamming against the door, which alerted that one upstairs.

"oh fuck."

It roars loudly as i didn't hesitate and ran to the front door. I ran pass the lamplight and that monster was already at the stairs as I glimpse at it and saw what it was.

A large scary looking monster with a large jaw, no eyes, no nose, is skin looked like white mucus stretching all over. Is claw like hand reaching on the side of the wall as it bellow loudly.

From that first look I ran faster than I expected and reach the door, I twisted it and open and went through slamming the door while seeing it coming into view.

I was patting fast but i didn't stop and turned and ran down the path and was in the sidewalk. I turned right and ran down the street not stopping until I know I was away from that house.

I didn't made it too far until I stop to catch my breath, I don't have much energy it seems. I looked back and see the other houses, that house i was in was far at least.

It was quiet, the air feels stiff, wasn't windy, it felt almost humid.

My head was sweating a little, must of been the intensely from running away and the lack of cool air.

This neighborhood, it doesn't look like my neighborhood, if it was it wasn't a good thing. What the hell is going on?

"where am i?"

I don't have the slightest idea on where to go, but standing here doesn't help at all. Feels like anything could happen at this point.

I move on, seeing a few of the street lights shining orange and all of the houses were dark, none of the porch lights were on either.

I was reaching a turning point, is either turn left or move forward. I don't know where to go, this neighborhood is foreign to me, hell it could be.

I went left, it was much brighter over here anyway. I looked around only seeing houses, on my right was field but nothing really besides that.

I don't know where I'm at, I have no idea where to go. I never been alone like this before, is not like being chase by a big monster is anything common but right now is oddly quiet. I know is night and people suppose to be asleep, but if anyone would heard that screams, then it would wake up anyone.

I stop and decided to check on someones house, I need help and the lack of any indication of anyone's here is scaring me.

I went to the nearest one on my left and went through their porch and up the stairs. I start knocking on their door and waited. I stood there for a couple of seconds and knocked again, just a little harder.

They better not be heavy sleepers, I swear this isn't the time. I listen in, hoping to hear human steps, but I didn't hear anything. I lean away from the door and heard a scrape from the wall right above me.

I gasp and turn right only to see nothing, even if i didn't see anything i wasn't going to stand right there. My sense is telling me to get away from here as I move away from the house's porch and was back on the street.

I walked away from the house and staring in-between the houses and only saw darkness. I couldn't help but feel like their was something there in the darkness, that noise wasn't created by itself.

I moved on, eager to get away from that area. I soon was reaching a long grassy ditch, I stop and looked around, on my left was the road further down this neighborhood. On my right was a short road near the end this side of the neighborhood.

Forward in front of me was more houses going down the left side while on the right leads to a dark grass fields.

I continue walking through the steep ditch as I step in wet grass like it was a puddle. Great my shoes are a bit soak.

I had my light on as I went to the dark fields, it was a wide area with lights shining not far from each side. The closest lights were a bit northern as I went through the dark fields.

I stepped on grass and only hearing the crunches underneath my foot, near the middle was dark, my flashlight doesn't shine too far but I feel like something's watching. Like multiple eyes were on me.

I looked back, only to see nothing, I slow down a little and heard another crunching of grasses from a far.

I pointed my light at the direction I was hearing, it was from the dark area of the field.

"oh god."

I quickly turn and ran torwards the light and was back on the road. I didn't took the time to slow down, I assume that whatever's following me isn't afraid of the light.

In this area was a long road down separating the other houses from each other. I can still hear the crunches getting closer, I shine my light at who it was but it wasn't in sight, not that I want to see who it was.

I turned and head down the road, I was near the middle of the road as I saw a narrow path in-between the houses leading to the light near the end on the right side of the neighborhood.

I look back down the road I was, seeing something coming close, or at least hearing it, it sounded like hard clacking noises.

I went down the narrow path quickly, stepping on the dirt path, and reach the end.

I turned around looking at what I was hearing and saw the silhouette of a thing on is paws, it was dark and I couldn't make out much of it as I didn't wait and see who it was. I turned around and ran away down the next road. by the left side.

I ran for a while and still hearing that clanking noise, i looked back while moving and saw it in full view.

It was a skeleton like creature with long black hair covering whatever features it has on is face. It did have six feets though.

I kept running, at this point I was getting winded, I wasn't exactly the fastest in my class but I blame the lack of food and nutrition I get.

That thing was coming closer to me as I need to get away or find some safety, I don't want to be dinner to that monster.

I notice one of the side of the houses have their side gate open as I ran through and closed it. I wasn't exactly ready for the sheer force from the monster as it ram the gate sending me backwards.

"aagh!"

I fell on the ground as I backed away, it approach me as i was scurrying away, frighten. It approach with every cruch from the grass, i was about to get back up and notice the large steel shed. I didn't hesitate and got up and ran as it charged right when I did.

I almost didn't made it as I jumped and grab the edge and lift myself up, but that monster scratch my lower leg, nearly digging is sharp claw in my skin. Of course I yelped in pain, as I swing my leg away from is claws and put my weight up and put my right leg on the edges and got up.

I was patting fast as I look back down seeing that boney monster scratching the shed while attempting to jump up, but couldn't even reach.

I taught it: "Haha, eat shit boney fucker!"

It start moving around trying to find a way up but couldn't, it spin around in a circle and stood there for a couple of seconds looking at me, I think.

Soon it turn and walk away back through the gate, I stood there and looked at my right leg, it hurts and was bleeding. It cut through my long sock and almost reach my ankle. I hissed a little, it sting but thankfully it wasn't serious.

"great..."

I looked around only seeing houses, darkness and street lights. On the left side I could of sworn I saw something, like a tall tree or something moved, but it could be nothing.

I turned around and see the next backyard close by, separating this yard from a wall. I jumped down without a second thought and was in the next backyard.

I turn my flashlight on and went on to the next gate on the left side, their was nothing really noteworthy in this backyard besides a dog house.

I open the gate and was on the other side and was back on the streets. It was a narrow road with a long wooden fence by the side. The street was pretty light up so I move on down the left side and kept an ear out for any noises.

I walked down the sidewalk, listening to anything and keeping an eye out, so far nothing was around the area. At this point I was reflecting on what's going on.

This neighborhood is probably full of monsters, I have no idea where I'm at and worse of all, I hadn't found any living human beings around. Is almost like this neighborhood is abandoned.

So far I hadn't heard anything besides my footsteps, until I heard a voice that I just pass.

"Hey stop a minute."

His voice sounded human, I did stop but I had a bad feeling, something was off about his voice, it's almost... careless.

I glance over my shoulder and saw a slightly dark silhouette of a big person, staring at me.

I immediately looked forward and quickly move on without glancing back, I then heard his voice again: "Hey, stop a minute."

It sounded like he was whispering it, only louder. I was at the point of running and he keeps repeating the phase: "hey stop a minute, hey stop a minute, hey stop a minute-"

I started running and heard a crush of wood from behind, I ran further down the street and was getting close to a turning point to the right from the house's from the left.

I slow down only to hear a familiar clanking noise, I looked back and saw that boney monster was coming after me again, and this time it was faster.

"aw shit."

It must be out for revenge, I have a talent for people who wanted revenge from me. I quickly ran around the corner and then saw another horrifying monster. This time it was disturbing.

It looked like a large nest like monster with a broken dislocated head tilted down on is left side, with long stubby legs. It was waving at me and is other hand gesture to me to come closer. No way in hell am I coming closer to that thing.

That boney monster was still chasing me, I looked back and notice a front yard fence right next to me. I quickly ran to it and open it up and closed it, I was getting winded.

It was coming close to the fence and start climbing the fence and struggle to get over it. I backed away and ran to the front door since the sides were cut off by the fences.

While I turned around i saw a glimpse of that tall monster was unnaturally heading towards to where I'm at. I turn the knob and open it, thankfully and close the door and locked it.

I was regaining some breath and turn around to see that the house was more lit up compared to the last house I was in.

In front of me was a long hallway and by the side was the living room. I walked forward a little while looking at the living room.

It looked out of a date a little, the floor was carpet with a couch with rubber fabric and a single chair right next to it. A t.v that was 40 inches with an antenna and a drawer with glass cup holders on top of it.

I thought it was weird until I heard a chair moving from my right. I looked right and saw the kitchen room with the table barely out of sight from the wall. I was now eager to leave as I went down the hall and was now reaching the backyard, I saw the door and turn the knob, didn't open.

"ah for crying out loud."

I heard more moving from the kitchen and a tin can noise falling and hitting the floor. Clearly I wasn't alone.

I wasn't going to face whatever it was in the kitchen as I went to my left and saw another door near the end of the hall.

I went up to it and turn the handle, it was jammed. I sigh, I didn't want to be stuck in here with whatever was in here. I looked back and saw a glimpse at what was in here.

It was on fours and it looked creepy, that's all I saw.

I wasn't fond of being in here but i heard loud scratching noises from the window, that monster outside was trying to get in.

Great, how bad can this go? I shouldn't thought of that, but it should be alright if I didn't said it out loud.

I need to find a way out, personally in the backyard. I cautiously went down the hall and was reaching the back door as I looked right and still hearing scratches now on the door.

And then I heard hitting noises on the window and seeing that big monster shadow from the blinds.

I looked at the back door and try it again, no luck. I turned around and try to figure out a solution.

I heard footsteps coming close, I look over my shoulder and saw a frightening sight.

It was a short humanoid like monster on all fours, it looked anorexic and is face was messed up with small eyes that look eyeless, grinning sharp teeth.

I nearly froze there until it was slowly coming close to me. It let out a faint horrid noise as i turned and ran in instincts.

I ran around the corner hearing is footsteps and is screening yells, I was scared for my life, why am I in this shit in the first place?

I ran through the living room, the thing was not far from me as I ran into the kitchen, it was dark but I have my light on and notice a shine on the counter.

A key, I couldn't grab it yet as I turned around, that monster was behind the dinner table. I reach for the keys behind me while keeping an eye on that thing. I managed to find it as it quickly was going around the table while I went the other way.

It stop running around and went to my direction which i ran the opposite way, soon it was in the middle, I believe I got the key out of this house, but I need time to get out.

I kicked the table at it and ran to the back door, i'm making assumpion that this keys go to the door, i notice while looking at it that their's another key in the ring. It looks like a car key.

I quickly attempted to put the key in the keyhole and thankfully managed to open it and closed it while taking the keys out and shut it in is face.

I backed away as it ram the door while grunting a lot. I turned and ran down the right side of the road, approaching the streets lights.

I stop right underneath the lights, tired. I never ran so much in my life. I looked back once in a while, checking if is still following, thankfully it isn't.

I got my breath back and stood straight, I continued even know I don't want to meet whatever is out here.

I walk through the neighborhood, looking at all the houses, they were all dark inside. These places used to have people live in them, now deserted. What happened here, I still don't have the faded clue what's going on or how I got here. Could all this be a dream? More like a nightmare than any.

My thoughts were interrupted by a sudden sound right next to me. All I saw was a house, nothing else.

I continue walking while keeping on a eye on that area. I looked forward and continue, I was reaching a turning point until I heard that sound, it sounded like wooden pressure, but it sounded like it was on my left.

I looked left, scanning the entire area, until I spot two long dark silhouettes of a pole or something on top of the house, I eyed where it lead and then see a large round dark circle with what seems to be hair coming down. It was right above me.

"Oh god..."

It tilted a little as I ran down the road without looking back. I heard the wooded noises and thumps behind me, it was after me.

I quickly ran around the corner, and remembered the key, it has a car key so hopefully i could find it and get out of here. I don't care if don't know how to drive, I'm getting out of this suburbs.

I ran while fiddling with the keys, it was still coming close while I hear is loud thumps after every half a second.

I looked at the key and saw the buttons, one was locked and the other was unlocked and other buttons as well.

I looked at each direction and saw many cars, it could be for anyone of these. Hell I probably pass it already!

The thumping noises were getting faster as I looked back, it was catching up and actually reach to me with is long arms reachingwith is hands.

"Aah!"

I ran to a street light on the right passing it and car, it stop reaching and moved around it. At this point I was getting exhausted, I click on the unlock button, none of them light up.

"ah shit--"

I heard howls from my right and saw the two monsters from before now after me.

"great! How could this get any worst?!"

I shouldn't have said that, nothing good ever comes from that.

But then I heard that thing behind me howl briefly, i figure that this was probably it. I looked back and notice it wasn't looking at me but at them, it went and swing is long arms at them sending them flying away.

I looked back at the road, I guess it doesn't want any competition. It roar at them and continued moving, i was clicking on the unlocked button hoping that one of these cars will blink on.

I was near the end of this cul-de-sac and saw a car blink on near the left side. Oh my god, their's actual hope.

I ran to the driver seat and went in, I put the key where I believe was where you put it and turn on the car. As it turned on, the damn radio was on and it played loud static which I jumped and scream.

"fucking stupid--"

I turn it down and heard a bang on the car, I remember watching my dad drive, he always put the lever in the middle on the D part and then he drives. Right now isn't the time to figure out how to drive.

I push the lever as it was moving the car left to right and even attempting to drag it. I put on D and looked down, i saw movies and TV shows where they put there foot on the peddle.

I slam my foot down and it drove off fast, it felt like it went from zero to 30 fast. I turn the steering wheel and was driving down the road as the headlights was on.

I drove down the street and it wasn't long until I think I was leaving the suburban area. I didn't looked back but I did saw it in the rear view mirror though.

I was relieved to be leaving that area, but now I don't know where to go. I was just driving down the road now reaching a dark area surrounded by trees.

I was scared of course,I was alone, I don't think I can do this. But, I need to find help.

But I didn't think for too long, until my mind got drowsy and my vision got blurry.

"what the...?"

Last thing I remember was a screech from the car and darkness.
