Natsuki's POV

"Mmh... Huh?"

Is dark, I quickly got up as I felt something on me.

"what the hell?!"

It feels like something's crawling on my legs as I brush off anything on my leg. Jeez, is so dark. That was until a headlight turned on.

"ah!"

I cover my face as my eyes adjust, I notice many trees around and a few bushes. I then heard bug noises like crickets. I look around and it was completely dark, but I did notice the stars up in the sky, no moon though.

"oh jeez...Where am I now?"

I was getting fed up with this, I just want to feel safe, but there's always something to make things worse for me. This is truly is the worst.

I decided to take a step forward, stepping on the dirt as I walk up to the car and went to the driver seat.

I open the door and went in and shut the door, I look at the keys and twist it, the engine just made noises but it didn't start, no matter how many times I twisted it.

"Damnit!"

I sigh being stressed, I looked around and saw a sign in the headlights. It showed a map of the area, I got out of the car and investigate further.

Apparently i was in a forest area, some natural park maybe. It seems I was Eastern south, further away from the park station that was further west.

"oh boy..."

It seems to be like 2 miles maybe to get there, but damnit why it has to be dark now?

I sigh again, I looked to my left seeing trees from a far and bushes not far from me. Is dark, like I don't think I can see what's in front of me without any light source.

I looked at the car and went inside to search for anything that might help, I check the back, front, the glove apartment and even the middle. Nothing, great.

I got out of the car and realize one more place I didn't check, the back trunk.

I went back in and looked around the wheel for anything to open the trunk, I notice a button with the trunk icon and push it, I heard a click as I got out and went behind the car and open the trunk.

The trunk lights up and I saw a flashlight, I picked it up and flip the switch on as it lights up.

"nice..."

I went around the car and was back at the sign as I looked foward, i'm not looking forward to this but I have to transverse through the dark forest, alone.

That realization made me not moved, i froze there, the last thing I remember I was being chase by monsters. If I know better, then their could be monsters out there in the forest.

I don't want to do that, but right now I need to get help. I hope I don't run into anything, I swear.

I left the car and the sign, I walked until I reach the area where i'm surrounded by trees. I pass many in my way as I step on leaves and even a few grass.

The only thing I heard were those crunching noises and bugs, the only light source was my flashlight as it partly illuminate the dark forest.

I continue and pass many trees in my way, I was totally on edge the whole time, all I heard was my footsteps crushing leaves and the dirt ground. I was alone in the wilderness with only a flashlight, I hope i don't run into anything, whether is a animal or monster.

I soon came up to a path, it was narrow but noticeable so I follow it down the right side, hoping to go west. I continue on as it started to get chilly, but thankfully I was still wearing my blazer, which help a little.

Then I heard rustling from the bushes and sticks breaking from my right further up, this scared me.

"ahh!"

I shouldn't be too loud, it could hear me, whoever it was. I stood there for a second until I didn't hear a thing, I cautiously move on looking around with my flashlight for anything.

Then I heard another noise from my left, it sounded close as I shine and saw something grey, but it scurry off. Must been an animal, I moved on still very much on edge as I walked for a while, only hearing my footsteps and bugs.

It was quiet, besides the stuff I'm hearing, it was nerve-wracking being out here, I don't want to be out here without anyone by my side. I miss my friends, I don't know what's going on only that I need to get out of this forest.

I was staring to be surrounded by trees, thin ones, I continue now feeling an odd sensation that i'm being followed or watch, I hope is just me being paranoid.

I continue and heard a owl hooing out loud which made me jumped out of fear, dumb bird.

"damnit..."

The path turns to the left as i follow for a bit, the wind picked up as I heard it blowing into my ears and lifting up the leaves behind me, then I heard crunches further behind me. I looked back seeing nothing, it could be just the leaves crumbling in the air, I certainly hope it was.

I proceed further just hearing the crunches of the leaves underneath my foot, but then I heard fast crunches from my left and my heart beat fast, could it be a monster?

I shine my light and saw a par of glowing eyes coming my way, my breath panting fast and my heart racing. I was ready to run but then it came into view, it ran pass me and it was a raccoon. I don't know if I should feel relieved but it was running for something, or someone.

Then I heard more crunches from somewhere, I shine my light behind me, in front of me but I didn't see nothing, the noise was brief. I quickly moved on, no longer want to stay in one place.

The path was slowly becoming unclear, is almost like the leaves were hiding the clear path to follow, worst the trees were staring to close in and started to surround me. It feels like I'm deep in the woods, is cold and I'm afraid.

I decided to keep moving forward while listening out for anything that isn't my footsteps. It was not a peaceful troll, I was starting to hear crunches coming from further behind, I look back and I see nothing but trees. What make this worst that whenever I look back with my flashlight, the noises stops.

That feeling of me being stalk was increasing every second, I can't even trust my own footsteps now. I quickly moved around the trees and kept moving, it doesn't seem like the path was starting to reveal itself, i was slowly becoming discombobulated, where is the damn path?

I stop and heard those crunches were now close, I look back still not seeing anything, I look around and turn around and nearly ran into a tree. I went around it and moved on, still very much on edge.

I was starting to feel tense, what if i'm going the wrong way, what if the path goes into another direction and I'm not aware of it because is dark. The crunches were back, but it was starting to sound loud and slow, like it could be big and tall. I quickly look back, seeing nothing again but trees.

I walk backwards hoping to see what it could be, but I didn't see nothing, but then I heard multiple crunches coming from each of my sides. My heart skip a beat as I turned around and ran and hit a branch in my face.

I fell on the ground and I accidentally let go of my flashlight, I ignored the pain in the back of my head and quickly went to grab my flashlight. The crunches were coming close, I could of sworn I saw a silhouette moving from the left, it was tall.

I grab my flashlight and got up and ran, i was hearing crunches that wasn't the leaves, but sounds like woods breaking from behind me. I ran as fast as I could as I shine behind me, I saw a wooden hand reaching out to me, I yelled out loud and turn my head back and ran further into the woods.

I ran pass many trees while avoiding them, that arm was long and it looked like the same as these trees, I can't even trust the trees anymore.

I didn't stop, but I was starting to hear something else, it sounded like water, I was starting to see a path on the right further down. I turned and followed the path for a while until I saw the river coming into view.

Finally, something else that isn't trees. I went up to the side of the river and look both ways, the river keeps going on curving down slightly, it seems like i will be going down for a bit.

I look back behind me seeing the path but i didn't see anything, i move on down the path as it goes down just a bit.

I continue on, it seems like my destination is not getting closer, i keep following the dirt path painted for me and hoping to not find anymore of those monsters.

The path turns left as i continued for a bit, i wasn't at ease, this situation sucks. Is like before, a lot of monsters are after me and i don't know what the hell is going on. I hate this, but i have to deal with this, but why am i in this mess, i just can't understand that.

I kept moving straight until i heard noises, movements of leaves and grable noises. Shit, something saw me or knows my presence, The sounds are coming from my left as i was approaching the noise and it keeps coming.

The path was pretty narrow and on my right were thin trees and large bushes are in my way. The noises keeps coming, it sounds like is right there, but then it stops. I looked around at the left side not seeing anything until a flicking light from above, i look up and saw a frightening sight. An animal eyes glows from my flashlight as i was frighten by is sudden appearance.

It started moving again as my heart skip a beat as i ran off, it was really close and it has long appendages that are imitating thin trees. It was picking up pace as i look over my shoulder and saw is legs were very close, almost like it was going to impaled me. It leans down is head as i know i can't outrun this so i went off path and turned right and went pass a narrow trees and ran off path.

I ran through small bushes and plants but i suddenly trip on a narrow curve ditch and i fell face first onto the ground. I quickly lift my head up spitting out any dirt fron my face as i once again let go of my flashlight, great.

Thankfully it wasn't busted so i easily got it back, but i heard those familiar noises, it must be that thing, is following me.

I looked at the direction the noise is coming from, i nearly didn't notice it at first but i saw the thin legs moving towards me as it was getting close. I quickly turned forward and ran, avoiding the thin trees and make sure to not fall again.

Suddenly the monster screech out a wailing noise that wasn't human, that made me jumped as i quicken my pace.

I ran until i was losing my breath, i slow down to catch my breath, i hopefully lost it. The area was having less thin trees as the trees are now taller and some have fell. After gaining my breath i moved on, still keeping an ear out for anything that wasn't my footsteps or bug noises.

I lost the path that i was going, so i'm now going without directions, at least i'm still heading west. I don't how far i been going but i really hope i'm getting close. I kept moving until i heard running water again, almost like a water fall.

I jogged for a while passing through plants and trees until i finally found a path, great at least i'm not totally lost.

I follow the path but then i heard that awful wailing noise from a distance, it sounded far but not that far, it must be following me. I kept moving on as the path turns in a curve as i walk around a large tree, i kept moving now hearing the water was coming up as i jog for a bit until i saw a large wooden cabin coming into view.

I slow down and notice a large wheel from is left side, it was a water mill. Apparently their was a large cliff behind the water mill and there's the source of the water fall.

I decided to check out this mill, hoping to find anyone who's still out here, and maybe find a way to contact anyone. I doubt it but i 'm hoping to find something.

I went in, hearing the creaking noises from the door, i said outloud.

"hello?"

No answer, i went in as my light shines around as i didn't found anything particular but i did saw a lamp light hanging and was illuminating half of the room. And right underneath the light was a table, and the only thing there was a gun, it was surprising to see a gun just laying there without reason. I also realize their was two other things, a long metal thing and a belt.

I approach it and look at it, i don't know my guns but i know it was a pistol, heard it from movies, video games and even manga. I just stare at it, i honestly don't want to pick it up but if i'm going to be out here without defense, then i'm definitely taking this.

I put the flashlight on the table and picked it up, i looked at the side of the pistol and notice a named engrave in it, is called cz 75. I don't know how to work but i know one basic thing is to pull the trigger and the gun will go off, but i don't exactly know how to load it. I looked at the metal thing, now upon inspection, it was a magazine with bullets, the belt has a hostel so i could keep this gun with me.

I gaze back at the gun and heard that wailing noise right outside the house, i looked at the door hearing the noises it was making. I look back at the gun and figured that i should use it on it, but again i really don't want to use it, but right now i don't have a choice.

The monster wail again but it was less loud and more creepy sounded. It then scratch at the door and then moved, it was walking around the house as i have to take care of this.

I'm going to shoot a monster right outside, this sound wrong to anyone really, but that's exactly what i'm going to do. I look back at the gun and notice a small button by the side of the trigger, i push it with my thumb and the magazine fell out.

"shit."

I quickly pick it up and push it back inside and gain the courage to go outside. I looked at my right and i didn't hear anything beside the water fall.

I went around the corner and suddenly the sharp end if the monster appendage slice my lower leg. I yelled in pain and took a step back, it went around the corner tower over me as took aim and fired at is head.

I held the gun with both hands as the recoil was kinda mild, this was my first time shooting and i didn't have anything to protect my ears, i didn't heard the monster either.

The monster steps back and wail is head around as blood started to ooze out but it stood there. I didn't know what to do but i kept firing, remembering the painful feeling in my leg. I fired three times at is head but one hit his body as it tips over and fell on the ground, slowly dying.

My ears still rings as i went back inside to recuperate inside. It took a while but my ears were gaining normal sounds again as i could hear the water fall again.

I was relieved but i remembered that monster i killed right outside, i can't believe i killed it but that thing wasn't gonna let get away easily so i need to finish it. I looked back at the gun and at the table, seeing the magazine and rhe belt.

I put on the belt and notice that it has magazine holders, like at least four so i put the first one in front and decided to move on.

I left the house and saw the dead monster on the ground, i went pass it and moved on,now crossing a bridge to the other side.

It wasn't long until i was back in the wilderness as the turns right as i was going up the steep hill as i was up where the water falls was. I kept going straight now hearing owl noises, the trees were coming up as i could smell the fresh scent of the trees and woods.

I kept moving going through the path surrounded by trees,i'm getting sick of it. The path turns left slightly as i moved on. I kept the gun firmly in my right hand as i gaze around with my light for anything.

Then i heard rustling noises like bushes and trees branches being moved, great another monster i suppose.

It was somewhere but i can't make out the direction the sounds are coming, i kept moving down the path as i was looking for it, even know i perfer to not see it.

The noises was still evident as i kept moving, it feels like i'm heading towards the monster, or maybe is heading towards me.

I soon notice something out of the ordinary, i saw a tent and a odd trail on the ground. Upon inspection it was dark, but it looked liquidity, could it be blood?

I look at the camp site and saw a camp fire, two more tents, one of them was destroy and i notice someone's bag outside and was laying on the bushes.

I don't know what happened but i figure something bad happen, and i'm afraid of what it was.

Then i heard bushes rustling and what seems to be footsteps coming from somewhere, possibly in front of me.

I quickly back away while looking for it with my gun ready, i back off and quickly turned around and run off back down the path.

I ran for a bit until i heard those noises coming closer to where i'm at, i shine my light and could of saw something but i turn back amd nearly ran into a tree.

I follow the path to the left and continue, i feel like i'm following the monster as it was coming after me.

I kept running for a while as the noise was close, i wasn't gonna let whatever it was to catch me so i went off path again but i nearly fell and tumble down a hill.

I look back and saw what was making all those noises, it looked tall and boney.

I briefly saw it and i follow the off path and behind the trees, i was hoping to stay safe behind the trees but then it reach is hand out around the trees corner and i nearly ran into it.

I yelped and stopped and back away, is hand reached backed and i took this as my chance to run again. I ran and suddenly the hand reach around and grab my waist and drag me out, i yelled out loud as it lift me up to face me.

I struggle for a bit then realize i still have my right arm free as i aim and fire at is head and fired twice as it let go of me.

I fell on the ground as it hurt quite a bit, but i quickly got up, ignoring the pain and ran off behind me.

The monster growls deeply in a unsettling way as i kept running until the path curves right as i kept running.

The monster was following me as i kept running but i was getting winded, i didn't stop even know my chest was losing air.

I didn't look back as i could hear it behind me, coming closer.

I saw two large trees as i ran through it to my left as i was hoping to lose it, i kept moving through the large plants and bushes in the way.

At this point i was just hoping to find a place to hide and hope it won't find me. I found a large bush behind a tree as i hide behind it and turned off my flashlight.

I heard is footsteps crushing bushes and leaves, i couldn't see so hopefully it can't see me. It kept moving around and it sounded very close to where i was, i kept my breath at a minimum as i waited.

Soon it sounded right in front of me as i look up, but couldn't see anything, i waiting and then heard it moved again. It kept moving and stopping as i felt like i was in the clear, until i felt something bite me in my leg.

"son of..."

I got out of cover and swipe at my leg hoping to get rid of whatever it was, until i heard that thing making noises from behind the tree.

I froze as i look up, seeing a partly silhouette around the tree. I don't know if it sees me or it doesn't know i'm right underneath it, but it went away soon after.

I stood there, trying not to make any noises as i waited until the noise was further away.

I turned on my flashlight and moved on forward and hoping to find the path again.

I kept moving as i couldn't find the path as i was lost again. I didn't stop moving though, i kept moving aimlessly and was hoping to find anything beside the trees.

I continue for a while until i decided to go right and hoping to find anything.

I kept moving and finally found the path, along side the hill that i nearly fell in, i follow the path for a while until i notice that i was getting close to an opening.

I was at a two separate path from left to right and in front of me was a large lake that continues on. I notice a sign on the right path as i went and saw it, it said.

"ranger station."

I was getting close to the station, hopefully their's people there.

I follow the path for a while in hoping to see the station coming up, but i didn't see it.

I keep running around the lake until I spot the station from a far, i was getting close. I was reaching the building as it was quite large but I realize that the lights inside wasn't on; That isn't a good sign.

I went up to the front entrance and open the door, it was dark inside and no one was in sight. I entered feeling unease, which isn't a good sign at all, I came here for help but it seems like no one's here. I called out.

"hello?!"

No answer, I just noticed that I shouldn't have said that out loud, who knows what could be in here. I walked through the entrance and was in the main halls, it was pretty big but i didn't stay and sight see.

I went to one of the hallways and glance inside to see anyone, I didn't found no one, just a dark room. I continue searching and found nothing, but I came across a broken window on the right from outside, the glass shards were on the ground as I walk over it and continue; Somebody or something came in, or out.

I soon reach the end and turned the corner to find a staircase up, I went up and continue looking through each rooms only to found nothing of interest. I walk down the hall and found one room that was interesting, is called the communicate room as i entered the room; It was a normal size room that has a radio and communication for me to contact someone.

I brighten from this as I quickly went up to the radio and put my flashlight down and inspect the radio, it wasn't on. I searched the box to find a way to turn it on as I saw a power button and push it on. I then grab the walkie-talkie and I heard static, I pushed the button from the side and started speaking.

"Hello? Anyone?"

I let go of the button in hoping that somebody would respond but nobody did. I was getting worried already as I tried again.

"hello? Can anyone hear me? Please, i'm stuck in the park station further west, and I don't know how to get out of this forest!"

I let go and waited for a while, I was starting to lose hope as I tired one more time.

"Can anyone hear me!? I'm at the ranger station further west! Please someone help me!"

I let go and waited, nobody probably heard it, i'm screwed at the moment until somebody responded.

"hello, yeah I can hear you."

To my relief somebody finally said something, I push the button and said: "Hey, i'm further west from the park ranger station, i'm inside and nobody's here, please can you help me?"

He was quiet for a second he responded: "Yeah I can help you, it will take a while for me to get there but where you're from is close to the main road. Just sit right there and i'm come to you, i'll respond when i'm there."

I was relieved, i responded: "thank you, please hurry, i'm not alone out here."

"yeah, me too."

He hung up, that made me worried, is this world is being invaded by monsters? How did this came to be is beyond me.

I waited for a while but then I heard noises from outside including odd vocal noises that wasn't human. I was scared, but at least i'm inside and their outside, there's no way they can come inside.

It has been what I assume was ten minutes as I sit there in slience, I didn't heard anything for a while, not even the sounds of bugs anymore.

But the radio turned on and the voice spoke, I jumped since I wasn't expecting that.

"Hey, you still there? I'm here!"

I was glad to hear this as I got up and start talking.

"Yeah, i'm here, where you at?"

"okay, go behind the building and keep following the dirt path upwards, it should lead you to the main parking lot. I'll wait for you here."

"alright, I'm on my way!"

I put it back and quickly head out, I ran down the hall and suddenly a hand broke through the window in front of me; I was surprised and yelled out loud and fell backwards. It must be that large monster outside, his hand was searching for me as i got up.

The thing lure his hand back out and I saw his face, it was a skull as it stares at me as I aimed and fire multiple times at him, I only hit him once in the face before he recoiled back.

I quickly ran and was reaching the stairwell and went down, the only exit was at the entrance, but i ain't going out that way. I went around the other side away from the monster as i was running until another hand popped through the window and nearly grab me. Shards of glass hit me but thankfully nothing pierce me but I was caught off guard from this.

I backed away and saw the hand was wooden, it was those things from the woods. It lead his hand back as I ran but another hand broke through another window right in front of me, this time the glass shards cut me as I fell backwards. He search on the ground as I back away before he could grab me.

I get back up as he lean his hands back as I quickly ran, this time with no surprises. I reach near the end and found another door outside, I figured that this isn't a good idea but I'm so close to getting out of here.

I took my chances and ran outside and look right to see the tall monster, i didn't bother to shine my light to see it more since I figured he's spotted me.

I ran through the thick trees in hoping he couldn't reach, I could hear his footsteps coming to me as I kept running. I didn't look back as I pass trees and jumped over a log in my way while still running away from the monster.

The trees were staring to become thin as I soon notice that I was running towards one of those tree monsters. I stop in my track and shine on it, seeing his hands reach for me as I fired multiple times at it as I assumed I stun him for a bit and ran right.

I ran to the opening as the wooden hand appeared at the last second and i ran right at it as I hit my head and fell on the ground. I let go of my flashlight again as my head hurts and I felt light, the monster grab my legs as i gain conscious and saw it dragging me and started to lift me up. I panicked: "no no no!"

I aimed at it and start firing multiple rounds at is body and even his head, some shots missed as he finally let go as I fell on the ground. I used up my entire clip but I got up and ran behind me into the woods before anyone of them could reach me.

I ran and realized I was running in blind, I didn't have my flashlight with me but I saw a faint light from a distance. I follow the light while stepping carefully as I trip but catch myself once in a while.

I was reaching the area with the light as I was out of the forest and was in the parking lot, i searched for the car but I only found one, and it was tip over.

"oh god."

I quickly ran up to the car, it was a jeep and it was laying upside-down, I couldn't believe that my only escape was ruined. I was distraught but I didn't get the chanch to feel remorse, I heard growls from further behind as I turned around and saw the silhouettes coming into view.

I didn't came all this way to give up, I ran around the jeep and ran down the road and kept running, even know I find this futile. I wasn't gonna escape, but I ain't going to let them get me.

I ran as long as I could as my head became dizzy and my vision became blurry.

"what? Again...?"

I stagger and slow down, my breath was low as I felt my head feeling cold; I collapse on the ground and fainted.
