My Equestrian Archives-Breaking Dawn
Ch.14: New Element
I groaned as I opened my eyes. I felt myself on something soft. I looked down, then around me, amused.
I was on a Blue floating tube in a river. But my eyes widened as I saw her.
A smiling Alicorn with a red Mane floated above me. I realized where I was. Purgatory.
"Well done, David" she smiled. "To sacrifice yourself, it truly brings me to tears."
I smiled. "I would do it a million times over. But who are you exactly?"
She grinned. "My name is Fausticorn. I am the creator of Pandestria and Equestria." My jaw dropped as I heard this. "I am also Luna and Celestia's mother."
I gasped. "So, was the statue always supposed to break?"
She nodded. "When I created the worlds, I created the Statue as well as a way to separate magic from humanity. I always knew that the statue would fall. Pandestria has nothing to worry about however."
I frowned. "But isn't it dark magic that has been seeping through?"
She nodded. "On purpose though. Sunset and Juniper needed it to understand something clearly at last."
I pondered this. It made sense. See the bad side of things for a perspective.
Fausticorn then spoke once more, showing me a picture of my body. Or really who was around it.
Sunset and Midnight were still in an embrace, sobbing. Princess Twilight was hugging my body in tears. Princess Celestia was trying hard to not break down.
I frowned at the sight. "Do I really mean that much to them?"
She smiled widely. "Yes. They love you dearly, as does your biological family"
I looked down. "I don't know if you can tell me, but- how are they doing?"
Fausticorn floated down, tilting my head up. "They miss you dearly, David. But they have held onto hope that you are safe. In fact, they have kept your room just as you left it."
I sniffed at hearing that. "They did?"
She nodded. "Yes. But there is something you need to know. When I created all of this, I always knew there would not be a Mane 6. There would be a Main 8. Sunset was the seventh. You are the eighth"
I frowned. "But I'm an ordinary being. Nothing special"
Fausticorn laughed. "I want you to think of this morning and what you were thinking of Midnight Sparkle. You did not grow angry. You had Compassion for her. You are the Element of Compassion. And its time I give you a gift before you return."
I gasped as she levitated me in the air. She focused her magic as white wings sprouted from my back. My hair turned rainbow colored, and silky. My glasses were removed, my eyes corrected.
I looked at myself as Fausticorn beamed. "Now go forth, David Allen Root, and be with your loved ones!"
A white light filled the air, and I had to shield my eyes.
As Twilight hugged me, she gasped as a wing suddenly hugged her. She then looked further, seeing me alive, and in my new form. I smiled at her. "Fausticorn gave me a new form. Pretty cool, huh?"
"DAVID!" Sunset smiled, running over, and glopping me, kissing me like crazy. After the loving, I stood, looking over at Midnight.
Midnight shook like mad as I walked over to her. She then grew confused as I took her hand, looking her in the eyes. "A man falls into a hole. A doctor passes by and the man shouts up, "Doctor I need your help." The Doc throws a prescription down the hole and moves on. A Pastor walks by, throwing a prayer down at the pleading man. Then a friend jumps into the hole with the man. The man says "Are you stupid? Now we're both in the hole." The friend answers. "Yes, but I've been here before, and I know the way out"
"Midnight Sparkle, I know you desire friendship. You do deserve it. But most importantly, I refuse to hold any ill will against you. I forgive you."
"I do too" Sunset smiled. One by one, everyone concurred the same. Midnight hugged us tightly. A new dawn had arrived.
If only I knew that those things were about to go on a breathtaking course. I knew not what the Princesses had been working on when and Sunset came to Pandestria. But I do now.
Equestria and Earth were about to make First Contact.
