Chapter 22
The Brush With The Rakugaki
At Detective Tezuka's office, Felicia, Arisa, and their newest ally MT were waiting for the detective to gather the materials needed for the child to explain about the Yakuza gang called the Rakugaki.
Detective Tezuka came back with the required materials a few minutes later.
"Alright, kid. Here's the stuff you need so you can explain about the Rakugaki," the detective put a map on a table and set a whiteboard in front of her desk.
Then Speed Girl came in holding paper bags and plastic drink cups with straws for everyone.
"Sorry that so long. I was quick to get the food from the fast-food restaurant, but the cooks weren't with making it," Speed Girl joked.
Everyone just sweat-dropped to her joke.
"I can't believe I was stopped by her," MT mumbled.
After that, Speed Girl handed the others their food and drinks.
"Okay, so it's time to tell you guys about the Rakugaki," MT started as she took a bite of her burger.
The others listened to her as they were either eating their burgers and fries or sipping their drinks.
MT ate a fry and drank some of her soda. She took a marker and began explaining and writing on the whiteboard.
"The Rakugaki have 50 men in it. 47 of are just normal guys. The weapons they use are nunchucks, brass knuckles, and sai." MT said.
She wrote that information on the white board.
"Oh my," Arisa was concerned, sipping her drink.
"It makes sense," Tezuka said as she ate a fry. "Since it's a Yakuza gang, they would use the basic weapons."
"Anyway, that leaves the toughest members of the Rakugaki," MT continued. "First, there's the muscle man and the leader's aide. His name is Sledge, a tough man with hard attacks. Then, there's Nozzle, the tech guy and treasurer of the group. Last, the leader of the Rakugaki is a man named Danji Vinci," MT drew a tough guy, skinny guy, and muscular slim guy, and wrote their names on the white board.
"It sounds like this gang is going to be really tough to beat," Felicia commented, eating her burger.
"Oh yeah. They will be," MT responded, eating a fry.
"And a cute little girl like you wanted to be part of that bad gang?" Speed Girl asked her.
"First, I'm not cute, I'm tough. Second, my choices were to either join the gang, who gave me food and water, or go on my own to find my own food and water. I made my choice, and I stuck with it," MT answered seriously, and ate her fry.
"Okay. So do you know if Danji, Sledge, and Nozzle have Quirks?" Tezuka inquired.
"Actually, I don't know that," MT revealed.
"Why not?" Arisa wondered.
"Well, the other guys in the Rakugaki don't know what their Quirks are. They just care about doing their art and working for them," MT noted.
"That might be a problem," Felicia commented.
"How have the Rakugaki been avoiding the Pro Heroes?" Speed Girl inquired.
"Nozzle made some special tracking tech that allows him to detect if pro heroes or cops are within a certain area. If he notices too many cops or pro heroes are on their way to them, he lets the boss know so the Rakugaki get out of there quickly in their cars," MT told them.
"What is the Rakugaki's reason for doing what they do?" Tezuka questioned.
"One reason is they want to spread their art and territory. The other reason is they want to want to be better than some other Yakuza group that was a big deal in the past," MT explained.
"Do you know the name of this other Yakuza group?" the detective asked.
"Not really," the kid nodded. "I was too focused on making my art to really care about that."
"Where are the Rakugaki right now?" Speed Girl questioned.
"MEH," MT told them seriously.
"I thought you were going to help us," Tezuka was annoyed and confused.
"I am," MT went to the map on the table.
"They're at MEH. The Musutafu Emergency Harbor," the child pointed to it on the map.
"Oh," the others realized.
After that, they finished their lunch, but Tezuka had another question.
"Is there anything else?" the detective asked.
"From what I remember, some of the other members got the last of the art today and they're coming to the harbor by ship tonight. The boss has all the stolen artwork and the gang plans to head out tonight on the ship. They'll take everything they stole with them to sell for a ton of money," MT stated.
"Then they have to be stopped," Speed Girl proclaimed.
"Right, but it's better to wait until tonight so we can get back all the stolen artwork at once," the detective figured.
"That's true," Arisa agreed and Felicia nodded while eating.
"Yeah, but you need me to help out," MT told them.
"Why?" the Pro Hero asked.
"I can take out the computer that's connected to Nozzle's special tracking tech so they can't get away and you guys can stop them," MT answered.
"The kid makes a good point," Tezuka commented.
Speed Girl was concerned with letting a child like MT take part in the plan, but stopping the Rakugaki was important.
"Okay, you can help out MT, but you have to do exactly what Tezuka and I tell you to do," Speed Girl decided.
"Alright," MT agreed.
"I'll call the police chief so we can get the police to help out," the detective said.
"Ahem," MT cleared her throat as everyone looked at her.
The kid looked at the detective, and then looked to Arisa and Felicia. When Tezuka wasn't getting it, MT then looked back and forth at the her and the teenage girls one more time.
"Oh right," the detective realized that MT was trying to remind her of what Felicia asked her.
"Speed Girl, is it possible for your two students to help out with the plan?" Tezuka asked.
"What?" Speed Girl was surprised.
"We can use the help against the Rakugaki," the detective replied.
"Plus they wouldn't expect teenagers and a kid to fight against them. We could get the jump on them," MT added.
"I don't think that's a good idea," Speed Girl was unsure.
She remembered back to the USJ Incident. Her students, minus Arisa and Felicia because they weren't there at the time, had to face real villains. She was lucky that Tenya Iida reached her and the rest of the UA teachers in time for them to save the students and the UA teachers there, and capture some of the villains. Even though the students weren't harmed, Speed Girl didn't want to see them hurt or injured.
Right now, Speed Girl had a hard decision to make. On one hand, she thought about Felicia and Arisa helping out because she remembered hearing from Felicia about her, Arisa, and Junko fighting against Jouko Gumo. Though that was in the dream world so no one was in danger of getting harmed. On the other hand, this time her two students were in danger because the fight is in the real world and the Rakugaki sounds like a tough group.
"Don't forget that with the danger of Rakugaki in the other prefectures, most of the usual pro heroes are out of town searching for them. Even if the police call the pro heroes now, they might not make it in time," Tezuka mentioned. "This is our only chance to stop them and we need any help we can get."
"Our Quirks can help you out," Felicia told Speed Girl.
"We can at least protect you guys," Arisa added.
After hearing what the detective and her students had to say, Speed Girl came to a decision.
"Alright then. You two can help, but you must do exactly as Tezuka and I say so," she told her students.
"Okay," Arisa and Felicia agreed.
"Now with that settled, I'll call the police chief and tell her the plan. Speed Girl, I might need your help with that," the detective decided as she took out her cell phone.
"Sure thing Tezuka," Speed Girl agreed with a thumbs up.
"Kid, you stay with us because I'm still keeping an eye on you," Tezuka pointed to the kid.
"Fine. I don't have anything else to do," MT responded.
"Maybe we should get changed into our costumes while we're waiting," Arisa suggested.
"That sounds like a good idea," Speed Girl answered.
"Is there someplace here we can get changed?" Felicia inquired.
"You girls can pick one of the other rooms outside to get changed in," the detective told them while she was waiting on the phone.
"Thank you," the girls told her.
-My Hero Academia-
After that, Arisa and Felicia got their silver suitcases and went to one of the empty rooms to get changed.
While disrobing, the girls chatted with each other.
"I can't believe we're about to face a big villain group," Arisa started.
"Indeed. Especially right after the whole Dreamweaver incident," Felicia said.
"Though this time it's in the real world," Arisa was concerned.
"True, but we have Speed Girl and a detective to help us out," Felicia pointed out.
"You're right, but I'm a bit nervous about fighting real villains," Arisa admitted.
"Don't worry Arisa. As long as we stick together, I think we'll be just fine," Felicia reassured her friend.
"Thank you, Felicia. I feel a little better," Arisa smiled.
"No problem," Felicia smiled back.
Then the girls then opened their suitcases and began putting on their hero costumes.
"Felicia, can I ask you something?" Arisa inquired.
"Sure. What is it?" Felicia replied.
"I was concerned when the conversation between you and MT almost turned into an argument. What was that about?" Arisa asked.
"Oh, well it's just I didn't like how stubborn she was being when I was trying to help her," Felicia admitted.
"I know what you mean," Arisa remembered back when Felicia argued with Drago. "Also, did you mean what you said about wanting be both a hero and artist?"
"Well, yes. After hearing what MT went through and with the advice I told her, I figured I can do the same," Felicia answered.
"Really?" Arisa questioned.
"Indeed. From what Speed Girl said and from what I remember hearing about some Pro Heroes from the museum, I think I can be both an artist and a hero," Felicia told her.
"That's sounds great," Arisa commented.
"Thank you," Felicia responded.
A few minutes later, the girls finished putting on their hero costumes.
"Wow, you look great, Felicia," Arisa complimented her.
"You look wonderful yourself, Arisa" Felicia commented.
Arisa wore a white dress with purple and pink shades, along with a long white coat that stretches down to the floor. She has a pink star hair clip, long white boots that cover all the way above her knees, and pink ribbons on each boot.
Felicia wore a white paint suit, minus the hood, with horizontal rainbow stripes. In the center of her suit is a big letter "A" with a silhouette of two paintbrushes for the long sides of the letter. She also wore a purple beret, black boots, and a rainbow-colored mask shaped like a butterfly. She had a palette in her hand and a yellow utility belt, which contains various small paint tubes and small paintbrushes, around her waist.
Felicia then noticed something in Arisa's hand.
"What's that in your hand?" Felicia asked her friend.
"It's just some face paint bottles," Arisa revealed the small bottles.
"Are you going to put it on?" Felicia questioned.
"I'll put it on later," Arisa said.
"Now that we're changed, maybe we should go see Speed Girl and Detective Tezuka now," Felicia suggested.
"Yeah, let's go," Arisa agreed.
The girls left the room and headed to the detective's office.
"Hey," the girls turned around to see it was MT who spoke.
"What are you doing here?" Arisa inquired.
"Aren't you suppose to be in the office with Speed Girl and the detective?" Felicia pointed to the office.
"Yeah, but I had to use the bathroom. So Speed Girl let me go while Detective Tezuka was talking on the phone," MT explained.
"Oh, then we should head in," Arisa said as she approached the office door.
Though MT had a different idea in mind.
"We could, or we can stay out here and talk," the child suggested.
"Why?" Felicia questioned.
"Well, we're just gonna listen to the adults talk on the phone for who knows how long and I'd rather not do that. Also, I would like to get to know you two while we're waiting," MT answered.
"Are Speed Girl and the detective going to be okay with that?" Arisa asked.
"They are. I asked Speed Girl about that and they agreed to it," MT told them.
"Well, if they say it's okay, then I suppose we can talk until they're done," Felicia decided.
"Okay then," Arisa agreed.
"Cool," MT commented.
The girls found some empty chairs and sat nearby each other.
"What do you want to talk about?" Arisa started.
"So you're Arisa, and you're Felicia, right?" MT pointed to each girl correctly.
"Yes," Felicia told her.
"Good. From her name, I guess Speed Girl has super speed. So what are your Quirks?" MT inquired.
"My Quirk is Aether Power. I can channel visible energy into many different forms, like beams and barriers," Arisa explained.
"My Quirk is Life Paint. Anything I paint with my brush and paint can become real," Felicia explained.
"That's interesting. Those Quirks can probably help with stopping the Rakugaki," MT commented.
"I hope so," Arisa said.
"Thanks. Also, MT, what do you think of our hero costumes?" Felicia asked.
"Oh, well..." MT got a good look at the girls and their hero costumes. "You two look... good in them."
"I'm glad you like them," Felicia replied.
"That's nice of you to say," Arisa responded.
Feeling embarrassed by the gratitude, MT looked away from them.
"Yeah, whatever," the kid blushed.
Suddenly, Speed Girl and Tezuka came out of the office.
"There you are my babies and MT. Don't you two look great in your hero costumes," Speed Girl stated.
The girl sweat-dropped from her childish behavior.
"Anyway, the Police Chief has given permission for you girls to help Speed Girl and me out with taking down the Rakugaki," Tezuka told the kids.
"That's wonderful to know," Felicia commented.
"Sounds great to me," MT joined in.
"Hopefully, we won't have to do too much fighting," Arisa added.
"Now, let's get ready to go to the harbor," Speed Girl
"So how are we going to get there?" Arisa inquired.
"I really don't think we should walk. It took me a while to walk to the museum from the harbor," MT mentioned.
"We can take my car," Tezuka said.
"I like that idea," Felicia commented.
"Yeah, but I've got a question for you, detective," MT looked to her.
"What is it?" Tezuka asked.
"So the rest of us here have Quirks to fight the Rakugaki, but how are you going to help?" the kid wondered.
"While I don't have a Quirk, I know kung-fu," the detective posed as a martial artist. "And I have these."
She took out two silver, medium, metal sticks with sharp spikes at the ends and perpendicular handles from her coat.
"What are those?" Felicia questioned.
"They're my tonfas," the detective revealed.
"You're going to fight the Rakugaki with two metal sticks?" MT inquired with a skeptic look on her face.
"They're more than that. Watch," Tezuka demonstrated by pressing the buttons on the ends of the handles.
The girls saw electricity build up at the ends of the spikes, which impressed MT a bit.
"These are taser tonfas. My go-to weapon for handling dangerous situations," Tezuka explained.
"Cool," MT commented with a small smile.
"You still like those tonfas, don't you Tezuka?" Speed Girl asked.
"Yes, now let's head out," the detective began to leave the building.
-My Hero Academia-
The others followed her to her car, a brown sedan, and everyone got in. Tezuka was the driver, Speed Girl was in the passenger seat, and the others were in the back, with MT in the middle. After driving for twenty minutes, Tezuka parked her car a few blocks away from the harbor.
"So we just wait here until night time?" MT asked.
"Yes. That's one part of the plan," Tezuka told her.
"What's the rest of the plan?" Arisa questioned.
"I'll tell you girls, but MT you need this," Speed Girl replied as she pulled out a black walkie-talkie.
"A walkie-talkie?" MT was confused as she received it.
"MT here will go into the warehouse and disable the special tech. After she does that, she contacts us and we contact the police chief so she can send the police here to helps us take down the Rakugaki," Speed Girl explained.
"That sounds great," Felicia commented. "But what about MT?"
"Won't she be in trouble with the Rakugaki if they find out she betrayed them?" Arisa pointed out.
"That's why she's going to get out of there after she contacts us and regroup with us outside," the detective added.
"Good plan, but I was hoping to help fight some of the Rakugaki," MT complained.
Tezuka gave her a stern look, which meant for her to follow the plan.
"Okay, okay. I'll meet up with you guys after I contact you," MT accepted.
"Alright then. Now we just wait," Speed Girl told them.
"I hope everything works out," Arisa whispered to Felicia.
"Don't worry. I'm sure it will," Felicia reassured her.
After a few hours of waiting, it was soon night time. The adults were awake, but the teens and kid were asleep, with MT drooling a little. Once the adults woke them up, the plan began. MT got out of the car and walked to the harbor.
Once there, she reached the large, rectangular warehouse, but heard some noises from near the dock. She saw some of the Rakugaki there, either coming out of trucks or unloading some giant cargo boxes of the stolen art. She knew they were waiting for the ship to come so they can load all the art on it. After that, she went inside the warehouse.
MT saw the warehouse full of cargo boxes, some contained the stolen art and some were empty. There were also some stairs that led to the second floor that had some rooms. She can easily see the second floor because there was no ceiling that separated the two floors. The second floor had guard rails that kept people from falling off.
"Okay, just gotta get to the room where Nozzle's special tech is and destroy it," MT thought as she went upstairs.
"Ah, there she is," MT heard a voice as she reached the second floor.
She turned around and saw the person who spoke to her is Nozzle. He is a 5ft 5in tall, skinny man with short brown hair, black eyes, and light skin. He wears a brown suit.
Beside him is the other person named Sledge. He is a 6ft tall, big man with short black hair, gray eyes, and dark skin. He wears a gray suit.
"You took your sweet time to get back here," Sledge said suspiciously. "You usually come back sooner. We're about to leave here anytime."
"Oh, I just had so much fun spray painting stuff that I didn't see it was getting dark soon," MT lied to them.
The guys looked at each other before speaking again.
"Well, I'll let the boss know you're back," Nozzle said.
"Just get ready to head out," Sledge told her.
"Right," MT nodded.
The guys went down the stairs and MT went back to her mission.
"That was close. Now I just have to find Nozzle's room," she thought.
After a few minutes of searching, she finally found Nozzle's room.
"Bingo," MT thought as she went in and closed the door.
Inside the room, she saw it was huge and had a computer connected to a bunch of big machines and a cart of tools and tech.
"Well, time to do my thing," MT stated.
Before she could began destroying the tech, she heard voices coming to the room.
"Oh crud," MT cursed.
She quickly hid behind some of the big machines. She peeked out from a corner and saw Nozzle and Sledge enter the room before quickly hiding again.
"I keep telling you Sledge, your brass knuckles aren't here," Nozzle told him.
"I'm just checking to be sure," Sledge searched the room.
MT was nervous that if he kept searching then she would be found.
"And they're not here either," Sledge realized as he stopped searching.
MT breathed a small sigh of relief.
"Have you tried your room yet?" Nozzle asked.
"I was just about to," Sledge answered. "Say, why do you think that kid came back so late?"
"Like she said, she probably had so much fun spray painting that she lost track of time," Nozzle reasoned. "Good thing too because she wouldn't have liked what we stole today."
MT got curious by what they talking about.
"You're right. The boss made the right call sending her out today to have some fun. Imagine the look on her face when she realizes we stole some of her father's artwork," Sledge said.
MT quietly gasped by what she heard.
"Good thing she told us much about her father and his art. It might sell for a big amount. Hey, what if she finds out took her father's artwork?" Nozzle questioned.
"Don't worry. We either leave her here or we use her as a hostage," Sledge responded. "You never know when one might come in handy."
"You got that right," Nozzle commented.
Both guys laughed to themselves as they left the room.
MT came out of hiding and had a sad look on her face.
"I can't believe this. I trusted the Rakugaki for freedom, and they just steal my dad's artwork, which was meant to inspire freedom" MT thought.
She began to shed tears and the look on her face changed to anger for being lied to and used. She saw the tech from the cart and knew what to do.
"Aaaaaah!" MT angrily yelled as she threw some tech at the computer, which broke on contact.
She then grabbed some tools and used them to break the machines. After a minute, the machines were broken, tools and tech were scatter across the floor, and MT looked at what she did.
"Hah, hah," MT breathed in and out as she wiped her face of tears and got out all her anger. "Well, I did it."
Suddenly, she heard some footsteps coming to the room quickly. She immediately hid again as Nozzle and Sledge entered the room.
"My machines!" Nozzle yelled in horror.
"Who could have done this?" Sledge asked.
"Without the tech, we won't know if the heroes and cops are on their way here," Nozzle said.
"We better tell the boss. The ship is almost here," Sledge told him.
"Right," Nozzle agreed.
Both guys left the room right away. When she heard the door close, MT took out her walkie talkie from her jacket.
"Hey, detective are you there? Over," MT started.
"I'm here," Tezuka answered. "Did you destroy the tech? Over."
In the background, Speed Girl was listening with Tezuka. While Felicia was watching Arisa putting on her face paint, using the window as a mirror.
"Yes, I did that. You guys have to get here now. They might be planing to leave soon. Over," MT told them.
"Alright. We'll be there soon. Over," the detective finished as she put the walke talkie away and took out her phone.
"I'll call the chief," Tezuka got out of the car and started dialing.
"Alright girls, get ready," Speed Girl told her students.
"Okay," Felicia replied.
"Right," Arisa answered as she finished putting on her face paint, which made her look like a kabuki peformer.
She turned around to face Felicia and Speed Girl. Both were surprised by Arisa's face paint.
"MONSTER!" Speed Girl and Felicia screamed when they saw Arisa's face.
"Thank you for that," Arisa accepted, which confused her teacher and friend. "I was hoping to use the face paint to scare my enemies."
"Oh," Felicia and Speed Girl realized.
"Alright," Tezuka got back in the car and put away her phone. "The police chief gave the us go and sent the police here. Now let's save the art and stop the Rakugaki."
The detective started the car and quickly drove to the harbor.
Once the coast was clear, MT put her walkie talkie back in her jacket and got out of her hiding spot.
"Okay, now I've just got to meet up with the others," she told herself.
She was about head out of the room when she heard another familiar voice.
"Where do you think you're going?" the voice asked.
MT looked to the door and saw the leader standing in the threshold.
He is 6ft tall, bald man with light skin and brown eyes. Also, he wears a black suit with vertical gray stripes and black shoes.
"Danji? Oh crud," MT cursed.
-My Hero Academia-
At the harbor, the Rakugaki, minus the leader, saw the ship arrive at the dock. Just as the ship stopped at the harbor, the Rakugaki's men on board got off the ship to meet with the rest of the group.
Suddenly, they heard the sound of police sirens approaching the warehouse and harbor.
"What? The police?" One member asked.
"How come we didn't know they were coming?" Another member wondered.
Right on cue, Sledge and Nozzle met up with their men.
"Doesn't matter now," Sledge told them.
"Get your weapons, boys," Nozzle ordered. "We've got a fight on our hands."
"Yes, sir," the members went to get their weapons, specifically nunchucks, brass knuckles, and sai.
"Slegde, Nozzle, come here" they heard their boss, Danji, call for them from inside the warehouse.
The guys went to the warehouse, and met up with their boss, who held MT knocked out and tied up with rope.
"It seems MT here ratted us out to the cops," Danji told them. "I found her hiding in Nozzle's room. She's also the one who destroyed his tech."
"I thought it was suspicious she came here late," Sledge said.
"She ruined my tech? How dare she," Nozzle looked angrily at MT.
"You two, make sure she doesn't leave," Danji handed the girl to his aides. "And don't end her. We can use her as leverage. Get ready for battle."
"Yes boss," the two saluted to Danji as they prepared for a fight.
Outside, Detective Tezuka's car arrived at the warehouse. Just as they got out of the car, many police cars and trucks arrived as well. The cops came out of their cars and one of them met up with Tezuka.
"Detective Tezuka," one of the cops approached her. "Permission to begin the attack?"
"Permission granted," Tezuka told him.
"Men! Get ready!" the cop told the others as they got their weapons ready.
Suddenly, everyone heard yelling as the Rakugaki grunts ran to the front of the warehouse with their weapons in hand to attack them.
"Men! Charge!" the cop told everyone as they ran to face the Rakugaki.
Arisa and Felicia were stunned to see the cops and Rakugaki fight each other in person.
"Wow," the girls were surprised by the battle they were seeing.
"Hey girls," the detective got their attention. "We need to get going inside the warehouse."
"But where's MT?" Speed Girl questioned.
"She's probably inside," Tezuka guessed. "We'll just meet her there."
"Alright," Speed Girl agreed. "Arisa, Felicia. Get ready to fight."
"Yes," her two students replied.
The group started running to the warehouse.
Inside, Nozzle was on the second floor, putting the tied-up MT in his room, and then looking looked down at the door. On the first floor, Sledge pushed a button on the wall, which moved a large metal divider that separated them from their boss, who was on the other side.
Suddenly, the door opened and the two aides got ready for whoever was coming.
"We are here!" they heard a deep voice shout.
From the sound of the voice, they were expecting to fight a male hero. On the floor, they saw the shadow of a familiar and famous hero.
"All Might?" they wondered.
Instead, they saw Speed Girl, Tezuka, Arisa, and Felicia come through the door.
"What?" the aides were surprised. "Speed Girl?"
"That's right," the Pro Hero responded.
"But where's All Might?" Sledge wondered.
"Oh, that was me pretending to be him," Speed Girl admitted.
"Why?" Nozzle asked.
"I just thought it'd be fun," she revealed.
Everyone sweat-dropped to her answer.
"Anyway, we're here to stop you two and your leader," Tezuka proclaimed.
"Really? You think you can stop us?" Sledge inquired.
"One Pro Hero, a detective, and some children? That's such a joke," Nozzle commented.
"Then get ready for the punch line," Speed Girl quipped.
"Enough chit-chat. Let's get to the fight," Sledge demanded.
The muscular brute clenched his hands into fists, which then turned big and rectangular, like the hammer part of a sledge-hammer.
"So that's your Quirk?" Speed Girl asked.
"Yeah. Now prepare to get pummeled," Sledge bashed his hammer fists together.
Sledge. Quirk: Hammer Hands. He can turn his hands into hammers.
Speed Girl was about to fight him, but then she got a warning from Felicia.
"Speed Girl! Step back!" Felicia warned her.
The pro hero did that quickly as a laser blast hit the spot she was at, leaving a scorch mark.
"Where'd that come from," Speed Girl wondered.
"Up there," Arisa answered as she pointed to Nozzle.
The girls looked to see him with his eyes glowing yellow.
Nozzle. Quirk: Laser Eyes. He can shoot laser beams from his eyes.
"Darn it. I almost had her," Nozzle complained.
"Don't worry. I'll get them," Sledge reassured him.
He quickly jumped in the air and raised his hammer fists over his head. As he almost approached the girls, he brough his fists down to bash them.
Luckily, the girls dodged the attack, with Speed Girl and her students going to the left, which was near the stairs, and Tezuka going to the right. His attack left a big crack in the ground.
Seeing the detective on her own, Sledge went after her.
"You're getting pummeled, detective," he told her.
Sledge ran to Tezuka and was about to punch her with his fists. However, she used her martial arts to dodge the attacks.
Back with Speed Girl, she and her students were about to help the detective when they heard a laser blast. Arisa quickly put a barrier, which blocked the attack. The girls looked to see Nozzle attack them with constant laser blasts, which meant Arisa had to keep up the barrier.
"You ain't helping the detective anytime soon," Nozzle shouted.
"Girls, we have to stop them both," Speed Girl told her students.
"Yes, but how?" Felicia asked.
"Felicia, you stay here and help Tezuka stop Sledge. Arisa and I will stop Nozzle," Speed Girl decided.
"How can we do that right now?" Arisa inquired.
"Nozzle will have to stop his laser blasts at some point. When he does, you and I will go up the stairs to stop him," Speed Girl explained.
"I hope that is some time soon," Arisa began to get tired.
"Just hang in there, Arisa," Felicia said.
Luckily, the laser blasts stopped for some reason.
"Darn it. My eyes," Nozzle complained as he rubbed his eyes, which probably hurt from the laser blasts.
In that brief moment, Arisa put down the barrier as Speed Girl grabbed her and quickly took her up the stairs.
Just as Nozzle can see again, he saw them about to turn the corner to reach him.
"Okay, time to get serious," Nozzle shouted as he blasted a quick laser at the two of them.
Speed Girl stopped just in time before the beam could hit either of them.
He gritted his teeth and launched a powerful laser blast from his eyes towards them. Seeing the incoming attack, Arisa aimed her hands and blasted a powerful energy beam from them. The attacks collided and they seemed to be equal because neither side can over take the other one.
"This looks like a stalemate," Speed Girl commented as she worried for her student.
Meanwhile, Tezuka was making quick side dodges, back flips, and jumps to avoid Sledge's attacks.
"You can't keep this up forever," Sledge proclaimed as he was still on the attack.
"Let's see about that," Tezuka replied.
Watching from afar, Felicia knew she had to do something, but didn't know what to do.
"What I can paint to help out the detective?" Felicia thought.
She snapped her fingers as she got an idea. She took out a paint brush and paint tube from utility belt and began painting right away.
Soon Tezuka had her back against the wall. Sledge then raised his fists and brought them down to pummel her, but she quickly dodged the attack. That left Sledge's fists stuck in the wall. With that opening, Tezuka pulled out her taser tonfas, activated them, and used them on him right away.
"Aaaahhhh!" Sledge screamed in pain.
The shock made him step back, which freed his fists from the wall.
"You're gonna pay for that," Sledge threatened her.
"Charge!" the brute and detective heard someone shout.
Though to the detective the voice was familiar.
Sledge turned around and was surprised by what he saw.
Suddenly, a large, black gorilla charged at him, but he and Tezuka jumped out of the way. The gorilla stopped charging, and when it saw Sledge, the gorilla prepared to punch him with its right fist. Sledge countered the attack with his left hammer fist, locking one of their arms in combats. The gorilla then attacked with left fist, but Sledge countered with his right hammer fist, putting them in a stalemate.
Sledge put more power into his fists and he sent the gorilla sliding back a few feet.
"Time to end you," Sledge shouted.
He was about to attack the gorilla, when he was shocked by electricity from behind by Tezuka and her taser tonfas. When the shock stopped, he turned around and was about to pound the detective. She saw the gorilla jump in the air and towards them, which she avoided by jumping out of the way.
"Huh?" Sledge was confused by what she did.
He looked behind and saw the gorilla already approaching him. Before he can react, the gorilla descended on top of Sledge's body, sending him to ground and knocking him out. The gorilla yelled and pounded his chest in victory.
The detective was surprised by what she saw, until she saw Felicia approach them.
"I take it you painted the gorilla," Tezuka said with a calm look on her face.
"Indeed," Felicia responded. "I had to paint something strong to help you out."
"Well, thanks for that. I can use a small breather," Tezuka sat down to catch her breath.
"You're welcome," Felicia told her. "Thanks for the help, gorilla."
The gorilla nodded to Felicia as its way of saying you're welcome.
On the second floor, Arisa and Nozzle were still in a deadlock with their attacks.
"Just go down already," Nozzle complained as he put more energy into his attack.
With that, his laser blast started to overtake and overpower Arisa's energy beam. When Speed Girl saw Arisa getting tired, she knew what she had to do. The laser blast finally got through Arisa's attack and was headed straight to her.
In slow motion, Speed Girl quickly pulled Arisa away from the line of the attack just before the laser blast can hit her. In normal motion, the laser hit the wall Arisa was in front of, leaving a giant hole and scorch mark.
"Are you okay?" Speed Girl was worried.
"I'm fine. Just tired," Arisa answered, which relieved her teacher.
"Darn it. My eyes again," Nozzle once again complained and rubbed his eyes.
"Wait here," the pro hero told her student.
With that opening, Speed Girl quickly ran to Nozzle, and delivered a strong punch to his face.
"Aaaahhhh!" Nozzle screamed from the attack.
The force from the blow knocked him out and sent him flying back a few feet.
"That takes care of him," Speed Girl declared.
"HELP!" the pro hero heard a familiar voice shouting from the room next to her.
Speed Girl opened the door and found MT on the floor and tied up.
"Thank goodness you came, Speed Girl," MT was relieved to see her.
"I'm just glad you're okay," the pro hero stated as she quickly freed the kid from the rope. "What happened to you?"
"Danji caught me before I could meet up with you and the others. He knocked me out and then I woke up here tied up," MT revealed.
"It's alright. Right now, the cops are taking care of the Rakugaki grunts. Also, Tezuka, my students, and I just beat Sledge and Nozzle," the pro hero informed her.
"Really?" MT questioned.
"Sure did. Take a look," Speed Girl led the way out of the room.
MT followed and saw Nozzle knocked out on the floor. When she reached the stairs, she then looked down to the first floor and saw Sledge knocked out as well.
"MT, you're here," Arisa said as she was happy to see her. She was going down the stairs to meet up with Felicia and Tezuka. They were at the bottom of the stairs.
"I sure am," the child stated.
"Glad to see you're okay," Felicia added.
"Where were you?" Tezuka asked with a mad look.
MT was about to answer, but Speed Girl beat her to it.
"She was caught by Vinci, and tied up in a room," the pro hero revealed.
"I guess that makes sense," the detective accepted with a sigh.
Arisa, Speed Girl, and MT made it down the stairs to the first floor, rejoining with Felicia and Tezuka.
"Since you guys beat Sledge and Nozzle, that just leaves the boss Danji. We've got to be ready for him," MT told them.
"Don't worry. We are," Speed Girl reassured her.
"I hope so. Also, is that a gorilla over there?" MT pointed to the creature.
Everyone looked to see the gorilla waiting for them.
"Oh, yes. The gorilla is with me," Felicia admitted.
"So you painted a picture of a gorilla, and it came to life, right?" MT asked.
"Yes," Felicia replied.
"It was helpful with defeating Sledge," the detective commented.
"That's pretty cool to see in person. Plus, we're gonna need all the help we can get to beat Danji," MT stated.
"Right," Speed Girl agreed. "But how do we get past the metal divider?"
Everyone looked at it, and they were confused, but not MT.
"There should be a button somewhere to move it on the first floor. Also, Danji is probably behind the divider," the kid mentioned.
"I'll find it. Be back in a jiffy," Speed Girl quickly ran to find it.
"Found it!" she shouted to the others.
The pro hero pressed it and ran back to her allies. Once reunited, they saw the metal divider begin to slowly open.
"Everyone, get ready to fight," Tezuka told them.
The kids nodded, and the group began to walk to where the divider is. Felicia signaled to the gorilla to join them.
Once the divider was gone, they saw Danji sitting on some cargo boxes like a throne.
"So you're the ones who defeated Sledge and Nozzle?" the criminal boss asked. "Let's see if you can handle me."
The gorilla went first and charged at him. Vinci wasn't worried and simply aimed his hands at the beast. The heroes were surprised when he shot something out of his hands. The gorilla was hit, stopping it in its track and making it fall to the ground on its back.
"Gorilla!" Felicia exclaimed.
"What happened?" Arisa was worried.
The heroes saw something that looked like stingers stuck in the gorilla's chest.
"My Quirk is what happened," Vinci revealed.
Danji Vinci. Quirk: Stingers. He can shoot stingers from the palm of his hands, and make stingers come out of his knuckles.
"Girls, be careful," Speed Girl told her students and MT.
Vinci jumped off the boxes and rapidly shot stingers at the heroes.
"Look out!" Tezuka yelled out.
Speed Girl quickly dodged the stingers with her speed by side-stepping some and jumping over some. Arisa put up a barrier that protected her, Felicia, MT, and the detective from the stingers.
"So, you can put up a barrier," Vinci stated as he stopped firing for a moment.
"Take this," Speed Girl shouted.
She used the chance to quickly run at him. Once she was near him, Speed Girl sent a punch his way. However, Vinci somehow dodged that punch. She tried to punch him some more, but he kept dodging them each them.
Speed Girl switched things up by trying to kick him in the head, but he blocked that with his arm and used it to hold her leg in place.
"What are you doing?" Speed Girl inquired.
"This," Vinci replied.
What he did next surprised everyone. Vinci made one big stinger come out of each of his knuckles, and he stung Speed Girl's leg with his right stinger.
"Aaaaaah!" the pro hero yelled.
"Speed Girl!" the girls were concerned.
Suddenly, the pro hero couldn't move and Vinci pushed her aside. She fell to the ground in the same position she was in when she was stung.
"I can't move," Speed Girl said.
"What just happened?" MT wondered.
"It looks like Vinci's stingers paralyze those he stings," Felicia guessed.
"I think you're right," Arisa agreed.
"Don't worry. I'll get him," the detective reassured them.
She got her taser tonfas ready and ran towards Vinci. When the villain saw Tezuka coming, Vinci ran to fight her.
When they got close to each other, Tezuka punched with her right tonfa, but Vinci side-stepped to dodge it. She immediately punched with her left tonfa, but the villain side-stepped that too. He then attacked with his stinger fists, but Tezuka backflipped a few feet away to dodge it.
When she was done, she and Vinci glared at each other.
"So you know martial arts," Tezuka stated.
"The same can be said for you," Vinci replied.
They prepared their tasers and stingers and charged at each other. When they got close enough, they struck at each other with their right tonfa and stinger at the same time.
At the last second, Vinci moved his right stinger below Tezuka's taser tonfa and stung her right arm.
"Aaaaaah!" the detective yelled as she was paralyzed too.
From afar, Arisa, Felicia, and MT couldn't believe what they saw.
"No way," MT was surprised.
"He took down both Speed Girl and Tezuka," Arisa was concerned.
"This is indeed terrible," Felicia agreed. "But I think we can stop him."
"How?" MT and Arisa were confused.
"Follow my lead," Felicia had an idea on how to stop Vinci.
The criminal boss pushed the detective down and set his sights on the kids.
"Now that just leaves you children," Vinci aimed his hands at them.
Arisa put up her energy barrier, while Felicia painted something behind her and MT helped her out. Vinci fired the stingers from his hands at them, but the stingers bounced off the barrier.
"You can't keep that up forever," the criminal boss stated.
"Neither can you," MT retorted as she helped Felicia.
That angered the boss as he kept firing his stingers.
"Felicia, you better hurry up," MT warned her as she saw the barrier started to weaken.
"Almost done," Felicia replied.
"Please hurry," Arisa was getting tired.
"Whatever you're planning won't matter. It's over for you girls, especially you, MT" Vinci stated.
Once Felicia was done with her paintings, she and MT knew what had to be done. Though they had to wait for the right moment to strike.
A minute later, the stingers stopped as Vinci was out of energy.
"Now!" MT yelled.
With that command, Arisa put down her barrier and ran somewhere to the back, revealing Felicia with a big blaster in her hands.
Felicia pulled the trigger twice, firing two large nets at Vinci. After that, she dropped the blaster, and ran to do the next part of the plan.
With the incoming nets blocking his sight, Vinci used his stinger fists to cut the nets in half and avoided get caught. After that, he was confused by what he saw: a giant spotlight on a tripod stand aimed at him.
Arisa turned on the spotlight immediately, and the bright light blinded Vinci, who used his arms to shield his eyes. While the villain was distracted, he didn't see Felicia and MT coming at him from both sides.
Vinci opened of his hands and fired stingers all over in front of him. Arisa ducked from the stingers, which hit the spotlight. The impact broke the glass and lightbulb, turning off the light.
When the villain can see again, he was shocked on his side by Felicia with a taser.
"Aaaaaah!" Vinci screamed from the shock.
Meanwhile, MT ran in front of the villain and aimed her spray hands at him. When Felicia saw that, she removed the taser and ran to Arisa.
The moment the shock stopped, Vinci opened his eyes and saw MT spray red paint directly at his eyes.
"Aaaaaah! My eyes!" the villain complained, rubbing his eyes. "You girls will pay for that!"
MT ran back to Arisa and Felicia, for the final part to begin.
"Raaaahhh!" Vinci heard a roar, but couldn't see where it was coming from.
The gorilla, which was paralyzed, ran at the villain and headbutted him in the face, sending him back a few feet. Even though he was still blinded, Vinci aimed his hands in front of him and prepared to fire his stingers.
Though a sudden shock to his side, courtesy of Tezuka and her taser tonfas, stopped him from attacking. She then kicked him in the chest, stunning him for a moment.
With that opening, Speed Girl quickly ran at him.
"Vinci, you're plan of stealing art and using it for evil is over!" the pro hero yelled as she got closer to the villain.
Hearing that, Vinci got angry and yelled, "It will never be over!"
Even blinded, the villain stuck out his hands and fired his stingers all over in front of him. Luckily, Speed Girl jumped and front flipped over the stingers to avoid the them and the others just dodged the stingers.
After that, she landed right beside him, which he didn't see, and unleashed her attack.
"RAPID PUNCH BARRAGE," Speed Girl yelled as she punched the villain multiple times in the face.
Her attack sent Vinci back and crashing into some empty cargo boxes. He laid on the ground, knocked out and defeated.
With that done, Tezuka, Arisa, Felicia, and MT gathered around Speed Girl.
"That was awesome!" MT cheered.
"Indeed," Felicia agreed.
"I'm glad that's it over," Arisa said.
"You girls did a super job," Speed Girl told her students and the young girl. "Don't you think so, Tezuka?"
"Yeah, you girls did a great job," the detective agreed.
"Actually, it was Felicia who came up with the plan," Arisa told the adults.
"Yeah. She figured your paralysis wouldn't last long so we distracted Danji long enough for you guys to move again," MT mentioned.
"Good thinking, Felicia," Speed Girl gave her a thumbs-up and Tezuka nodded.
"Oh, it was nothing," Felicia smiled.
-My Hero Academia-
After that, the police force came into the building, having defeated the Rakugaki grunts, to arrest Vinci, Sledge, and Nozzle. They put on the leader and his aides special handcuffs that prevent them from activating their Quirks. The police put all of the Rakugaki in the police trucks, and got all the cargo boxes full of the stolen art off the ship and out of the harbor.
Outside of the warehouse, Arisa, Felicia, and MT were with the police. Speed Girl and Tezuka were checking to make sure none of the Rakugaki tried anything and that all the art was found.
"I can't believe we helped fight real villains," Arisa started.
"Yes, and we got out of it unharmed," Felicia joined in.
"This has been one heck of a day," MT commented.
The trio then saw Speed Girl and Tezuka walking to them.
"I'm so proud of you, my students and MT, for helping out with stopping the Rakugaki. You girls would get gold stars for this," the pro hero stated cheerily.
Everyone sweat-dropped to how Speed Girl was acting.
"Anyway, someone else here wishes to say something to you girls," the detective told them.
Felicia, Arisa, and MT saw someone walking to them. It turned out to be a woman with a brown owl head, yellow eyes, and short black hair. She is dressed in a white dress shirt, black tie, and brown suit and shoes.
"This is Chikayo Fukurou. She is the Musutafu Police Chief," Tezuka introduced the woman.
"Hello there, hoot. Since it's already the evening, I'm going to make this conversation short," Chief Fukurou began.
"Normally, people who use their Quirks in public without a provisional license would be in serious trouble, hoot" the police chief told the UA students and young girl, which worried them.
"However, since they were no witnesses, and you three had permission and supervision from Speed Girl and Detective Tezuka, you're off the hook, hoot" Chief Fukurou winked at them, and that relieved them.
"Also, the official report will state that it was Speed Girl, Detective Tezuka, and the police force who stopped the Rakugaki, hoot," the police chief said.
"How come?" MT asked.
"Because if your involvement were made public, you three would be punished by the Hero's Law. So it's best for you girls to keep today's events to yourselves, hoot," Chief Fukurou reasoned, and the girls understood.
"Now comes the matters of you, child," the police chief looked at MT. "Normally, you would be punished along with the Rakugaki for the crimes committed."
This got MT a little concerned, and so did Arisa and Felicia for the young girl.
"However, with your involvement not made public, you will be left off with just a warning. Hopefully after today's events, you learned something important, hoot," the police chief stated.
That info made the girls sigh in relief.
"I sure have," MT responded and nodded.
"Good to hear. Now as the police chief, I thank you three with your assistance for stopping the Rakugaki, hoot," Chief Fukurou bowed to the girls. "Also, someone is here to see you, child."
Fukurou pointed behind her, and when MT looked, she was surprised by who she saw. A woman with long pink hair and brown eyes, and wearing a brown business suit and black heels.
"Karen? How?" MT was confused.
"After the Rakugaki was defeated, the police chief called your sister to pick you up," Tezuka revealed.
"Yes, and with that, I have to take my leave to help the police with the Rakugaki. Good night to you all, hoot," Chief Fukurou stated as she left the group.
After that, the girls saw MT looking hesitant to talk to her sister.
"I think you should go to her and talk," Speed Girl suggested.
After thinking about it, MT approached her older sister, who had a stoic look on her face. MT had a small frown on her face for what she did to her sister.
"Mariko," Karen started.
"Karen," MT replied.
"I'm sorry," the sisters said at the same time.
"Huh?" they were both surprised.
"I was wrong. I shouldn't have run away. I probably made you worried for a long time," MT said.
"No, I was wrong. I should have listened to what you wanted to do and considered your feelings," Karen said.
"So, can I come home?" the kid asked.
"Yes, and in the morning, we can talk about what you want to do," Karen smiled.
"Deal," MT agreed.
Karen got down to MT's level and hugged her sister, who hugged her older sister back.
From afar, the other girls were glad to see the two sisters reunited.
"Good to see they're back together," Arisa commented.
"I'm happy for MT," Felicia smiled.
"It's so sweet," Speed Girl wiped a small tear from her eyes.
"It sure is," Tezuka agreed with a small smile.
Then they saw the two sisters approach them.
"I would like to thank you all for bringing my sister back to me," Karen told them.
"You're welcome," Tezuka answered.
"It's all in a hero's work," Speed Girl responded.
"I really want to thank you, Felicia and Arisa, for helping me out," MT stated.
"You're welcome," Arisa replied.
"It was our pleasure, MT," Felicia said.
When she heard her nickname, MT decided to do something about it.
"Actually," she took off her cap, letting down her long, silver hair and two long locks. "Call me Mariko, okay?"
Hearing that made Arisa and Felicia smile.
"Sure thing, Mariko," Arisa agreed.
"Honestly, I prefer your real name over your nickname," Felicia commented.
That comment made everyone laugh for a little while.
"Well, we should be heading home now Mariko," Karen held out her hand to her sister.
"Alright," Mariko held her sister's hand.
"Bye guys. Thanks again," the young girl waved goodbye to the girls.
They waved back as the two sisters walked to Karen's car.
After that, Detective Tezuka offered Arisa and Felicia a ride back to the Emerald Shade, and they accepted. Speed Girl joined them because she needed to get back their hero costumes.
Some time later, Tezuka's car arrived at the Emerald Shade. Speed Girl and her students got out of the car, with the UA High students taking their silver suitcases with them, and Tezuka drove away.
Speed Girl followed the girls to their rooms and waited out in the hall for them to change. Once the girls changed out of their hero costumes, they put on their casual clothes and put the costumes in the suitcases. They opened their doors and handed the suitcases to Speed Girl, who thanked them for their help and left the apartment.
-My Hero Academia-
In her room, Felicia finished taking a shower and changed into her pajamas.
"Today was an interesting day. I wasn't expecting to fight another villain, like yesterday. At least Arisa and I had help from Speed Girl, Detective Tezuka, and Mariko to defeat the Rakugaki, and we helped Mariko reunite with her sister. Hopefully, tomorrow we can just relax," Felicia thought.
She then got into bed and went to sleep after a long day.
-My Hero Academia-
In her room, Arisa was taking a shower.
"Today was a rough day, especially since Felicia and I had to fight another villain. Good thing we had Speed Girl and Detective Tezuka to helps us stop the Rakugaki and to help Mariko. I'm just glad none of us got hurt," Arisa thought.
Once she was done, she got out of the bathroom and changed into her pajamas.
Just as she was about to sleep, she heard the text alert from her phone on her night stand. She checked it and saw she got a text from her childhood friend Shoto.
ST: Hello Arisa. Are you busy tomorrow?
AK: No. Why?
ST: Recently, I went to see my mom in the hospital and talked to her. It was great.
AK: That's good to hear.
Arisa suddenly realized the word "hospital" in the text and was concerned.
AK: Hospital? What happened to your mom?
ST: The incident from when we were kids. I'll explain more tomorrow.
AK: Okay then.
ST: I mentioned you to her, and she would like to see you. I asked the doctors and it's okay for you to come. Do you want to?
Arisa took a moment to decide what to do.
"Well, it would be nice to see Mrs. Todoroki after all these years. Also, it would be a nice change from fighting villains for the past two days," Arisa thought.
With her mind made up, she texted Shoto her decision.
AK: I would like that.
ST: Okay. Meet me outside of Tatooine Train Station at noon. We can go to the hospital from there.
AK: Okay. See you then.
Arisa put her phone on her night stand and got ready for bed. Then she went to sleep, hoping tomorrow would be a nice and easy day to hang out with a friend.
