Chapter 27

Internabout (Arisa's POV)

On the second night of my internship, things took a turn for the worse because there was an attack in Hosu City.

I was there on patrol with the Pro Hero Endeavor along with his son and my childhood friend Shoto Todoroki as part of our internships.

Just as we were going to stop the attack, Shoto and I got texts from our friends Midoriya and Kai respectively, but it was just their locations. Then Shoto and I decided to split up in order to help our friends.

While I was going to Kai's location, I ran into Eli because his internship is in Hosu City. He was trying to find Iida from Class 1-A, but then he got the same text from Kai and didn't know who to help. Once I explained Shoto went to go help Midoriya, and they were probably helping Iida, Eli and I decided to go find Kai.

Right now, Eli and I were running and using the Joogle Map App on our phones to reach the location from Kai's text message.

"I think we're almost there," Eli said.

"I hope Kai is okay," I was worried.

"Let's hope so," he responded.

Just as we were nearing the location, we heard a crash nearby.

"What was that?" I asked with concern.

"Don't know. Maybe we should go check it out," Eli suggested.

"Are you sure?" I questioned.

"It could be Kai since the crash is near the location from his text," Eli guessed.

"Okay, let's go see," I nodded as he made a good point.

Immediately, we ran to where we heard the crash, and that led to us a construction site with an incomplete building.

We stopped for a moment when we saw part of a fence broken in and heard what sounded like a monster roar.

"What was that?" I was worried.

"Only one way to find out," Eli started to run to the construction site.

I was scared, but I followed him anyway.

We hid behind the fence and peeked over to see what was going on. We saw Kai, who looked hurt, and a strange looking muscular creature with light-color skin and an exposed brain standing over him.

Then Eli and I got down after what we saw.

"Oh boy," he said.

"What is that monster?" I asked with concern.

"It's a Nomu," Eli answered.

"Really? That's the monster you and our friends in Class 1-L and Class 1-A faced at the USJ before Felicia and I arrived?" I questioned.

"It sure is. Even though this one looks a little different, I think it might be strong as the one back at the USJ. None of us could beat it until All Might showed up and kicked its butt," he explained.

"Then Kai is in danger. So what we do?" I was worried.

"I've got an idea," Eli snapped his fingers. "I fly to top of the building unnoticed, while you sneak in unnoticed. When I blind the Nomu with a stinkbug fart, you and I get Kai and we all get out of there."

"Are you sure that's going to work?" I wondered.

"It has to," Eli replied.

Then we heard footsteps and peeked over the fence to see the Nomu approaching Kai slowly.

"Then let's do it now," I nodded.

"On it," Eli smiled.

He used his Quirk to dragonfly wings appear on his back and he flew the long way around the fence to reach the top of the building.

Meanwhile, I snuck in through the broken part of the fence into the construction site. I hid behind what looked a sliced part of a construction vehicle, which was near Kai and the Nomu. I looked and saw the monster slowly getting closer to Kai.

'That Nomu looks really creepy up close, and Kai looks like he's hurt. Did he get injured fighting or escaping from the monster? I hope Eli starts his plan soon so we can save Kai,' I thought.

"Hey!" I heard Eli yell and saw him jumping off a steel beam of the incomplete building.

"Stinkbug Gas!" Eli shouted as let loose a yellow gas from his stinkbug behind.

With that, I ran in to help Kai, and Eli joined in when he landed. When we found Kai, we grabbed his shoulders, Eli on his left and me on his right, and lifted him up.

"Let's get the hell out of here!" Eli shouted.

"Eli ... and Arisa?" Kai was confused as he looked at us. "What are you there doing here?"

"We should be asking the same thing to you buddy, but let's get out of here first!" Eli stated.

"Don't worry, Kai! Let's just get you to safety," I said as we got away from the Nomu while it was distracted by Eli's attack.

Eli and I ran as far as possible, while carrying Kai, and hid in an alleyway. We put Kai down, sitting against the wall.

As Eli and I sat down to take a little breather, I got a look at Kai's hero costume. It was a light armor suit with cybernetics around his chest, shoulders, and arms. His forearms, forelegs, knees, and shoulders were covered in metallic armor. In the middle of his chest was a green circle.

Eli glanced from side to side from a corner. "I think we're in the clear. It looks like that weird Nomu guy isn't looking for us."

"Yeah, good," Kai breathed deeply.

"Are you alright, Kai?" I asked.

"I may be injured on my back and neck, but I will be fine," Kai said.

However, I got more worried for him. "Oh no! That's horrible!"

"I've felt worse before," he stated.

"But still, we got to get you to a hospital or find a Pro Hero!" I declared.

"Yeah! We should get moving. We can't stay here forever," Eli added.

As Eli and I got ready to give Kai support, something jumped down from the roof, surprising us.

"Woah! Who the heck are you?!" Eli gasped.

"Ah, maybe someone from a hero agency!" I said positively.

"I don't think so, Arisa," Kai said as he looked serious.

The mysterious person looked like a tall young female figure in an all-black suit. Around her legs showed some stripes, and her boots were skinny, almost like high heels.

"I am no Pro Hero," said the mystery person, surprising us and sending shivers down our spines. "I along with my Master, will purge this world for a more just society."

"Who, who are you?" I asked hesitantly.

The mystery person turned her her head up, revealing she wore a black hood and a skull mask. "I am Reaper, the apprentice of the Hero Killer Stain!"

"Hero Killer?!" Eli repeated.

"What?!" I gasped.

"Tch!" Kai looked with caution and disgust.

"Wait, so you're like the apprentice to the Hero Killer?" Eli asked.

"That's right," Reaper answered.

"Wow, so the rumor is true! The Hero Killer does have an apprentice! This is like so... pogger!" Eli exclaimed as he looked a bit excited.

"Eli, I don't think is a good time to compliment her," I warned him.

"What do you want, Reaper?" Kai asked strongly.

"Hmph. I saw you, particularly when you fought that creature known as Nomu. A bit sloppy since you were just trying to get away from it," Reaper commented as she pointed at Kai, then glared at him. "This could just be my thought, but the way I saw how you handled it, you seemed to have no conviction in that fight, do you?"

'What?' I thought.

"What conviction?" Kai replied.

"A true Hero should have conviction not just by words, but through his or her every action they take. For your case, I sensed you only distracted the Nomu from the major commotion, thinking that would help to prevent it from attacking where there would be more people," Reaper explained.

Kai's eyes widened from what the villain was saying.

"However, that isn't enough! A real Hero would stand his ground and fight, even at the risk of his life. Your action is just purely reckless, and you didn't even try to fight back," She stated.

'Why would she say that?' I thought.

"Hey, Kai is a good person! He was doing what he thought was right! I won't allow you to talk bad about him, yo!" Eli argued.

"Hmph!" Reaper took out her black scythe, revealing the long silver blade glowing purple. "If you want to prove me wrong, then let's see how you do it!"

"Get ready, Arisa!" Eli shouted. "We're gonna fight!"

"Wh, what?!" I gasped as Eli ran forward with arms turning into mantis scythes.

"Wait, Eli! Don't run in!" I yelled.

Eli sliced through her. Kai and I didn't know if he touched her, but a second later, Eli collapsed with an open wound on his chest.

"Eli!" I screamed.

"Eli!" Kai shouted.

We didn't know what just happened. We didn't see Reaper move at all when Eli sliced past her, but somehow she had hit him before he hit her.

'How did she do it?' I wondered.

"Uuuuh." Kai and I noticed that Eli, who we thought died, spoke up.

"Eli? Eli, are you okay?" I asked him.

"Y-Yeah, I'm fine but..." he started.

"But, what?" I questioned.

"I ... Sorry guys, but I don't feel like I want to help you," Eli answered.

'What?' I thought as I looked shocked but mostly confused.

Kai, on the other hand, looked curious, but also surprised.

"What do you mean by that? What's the matter?!" I asked in shock.

"I don't know, man. I just... Don't feel it, you know," Eli said lazily.

"Arisa, whatever you do, don't let Reaper slice you!" Kai warned.

"Huh?" I turned to Kai.

"I think whatever happened to Eli was due to Reaper's Quirk. It could be one of three things," Kai said. "One, it could be that her Quirk causes a person to get paralyzed. Two, maybe it's due to using a weapon she can make a person stop moving. Or three, her Quirk makes them lazy as to how Eli is acting so strange right now."

"Lazy?" I repeated.

Reaper let out a small giggle, which caught our attention. "You are pretty analytical, boy, but you are partially right about all three. My Quirk can do all that, but allow me to elaborate. My Quirk is to reap other people's spirit!"

Hero Killer's Apprentice, Reaper! Quirk: Spirit Reap! By using a sharp object, like a knife, she can cut a person to make them lose motivation. Depending on how severe she cuts a person or the number of times she cuts a person, the amount of motivation she "reaps" affects the person longer. Partnering with Hero Killer Stain's Quirk, Bloodcurdle, nobody is safe!

"Reap other people's spirit?" I wondered.

"By using a sharp weapon, like my scythe here, I can reap other's motivation. I cut this friend of yours, so now he isn't motivated to help you two," Reaper explained furtherly as she stepped forward, making me scared, but I stood my ground as I needed to protect Kai and myself.

"K-Kai!" I said as I took a fighting stance as my hands glowed in white energy.

"Arisa?" Kai thought aloud.

"Don't worry, Kai! No matter what happens, I will protect you!" I assured him as my hands glowed brighter.

Reaper looked at us momentarily, but she smirked when she me and noticed my legs shaking a bit. "Tch, are you afraid, girl?"

"Me?" I responded. "... I am, but I won't let you go anywhere near my friend! I will protect Kai, and save Eli!"

Reaper looked sternly at me as she spoke, "I see! Though you admit you're scared, you still have the strength to stand up and fight! I see you have a true conviction like a true hero should have!"

'What is wrong with her? I don't know if she's complimenting me or mocking me,' I thought.

Reaper ran towards me with her scythe dragging on the hard floor, creating a spark in the process. My heart raced as the villain approached closer.

It reminded me of when Jouko Gumo, as the spider monster Dreamweaver in the dream world, was falling at me, and when the laser attack from the villain Nozzle of the Yakuza gang the Rakugaki was coming at me.

Once Reaper reached about less than a foot away from me, my heart felt like it was going to burst.

"Kyaaaaaaahhh!" I screamed as I made a bright white light flash before us, covering Kai, Reaper, me, and everything in our vicinity.

The white light turned into a beam that I shot upwards to the sky, which I hoped would catch the attention of some heroes.

The light started dimming down until it was gone. I was still standing, though shaking a bit.

"Arisa... Are you alright?" Kai asked.

"Y-Yeah, I think I am fine," I said as I collapsed on my knees, looking tired and relieved.

Kai and I saw that the Reaper was gone. Then, five seconds later, a bunch of Pro Heroes arrived at the scene, and the news media helicopter also found Kai, Eli, and me as they broadcasted us.

'I'm glad the beam of light I created made Reaper go away and got the Pro Heroes to come here,' I thought.

Among the group of heroes, there was a famous Pro Hero duo there.

One was a man who wore a golden costume, almost like what a king would wear. He had white feathers for the shoulders and a gold cape. He wore a helmet mask that covered most of his face, except for his mouth area, and it had two horns shaped like clock hands. His eyes were black without any pupils, but that was the only exposed part of the helmet mask. He wielded a golden scepter with a clock at the top. He was Time Lord.

The other was a woman with long violet hair. She wore a skintight dark blue costume that changed colors from top to bottom. The top half was black, like space with yellow stars all over it, and the bottom half changed to light blue color. The costume also had sleeves, and she wore fingerless gloves and a white mask, revealing her violet eyes.

They were Time Lord and Mrs. Galactica.

Kai looked up and said, "D-Dad. Mom?"

'I can't believe Kai's parents are here,' I thought.

"Oh my baby boy, are you alright?" Ms. Galactica.

"Let's take you and your classmates to the hospital," Time Lord decided.

The Pro Heroes took Kai, Eli, and me to the Hosu General Hospital. There Kai and Eli were taken right away to get their wounds treated. I was also taken right away, but my checkup wasn't as urgent because I wasn't injured, just tired from using my Quirk and that it was late at night. Once my checkup was done, I was taken to a hospital room and I fell asleep on the hospital bed.

The next morning, I woke up feeling a bit better, but I was worried for Kai and Eli. Luckily, I saw they were in the same hospital room with me. Eli was on a bed across from me, and Kai was on a bed next to me.

-My Hero Academia-

We were all wearing hospital patient shirts and pants. As I took a closer look at them, I saw the guys had bandages wrapped on their chest. Also, I saw that our hero costumes were on our night stands.

Suddenly, Kai and Eli were waking up.

"Good morning, Kai and Eli. How do you two feel?" I questioned them.

"Much better," Eli smiled.

"A little sore, but I'll be okay," Kai said.

I sighed with relief and replied, "That's good."

"How about you, Arisa?" Eli asked.

"I'm fine," I told them.

"Yeah. You look like you don't have a scratch on you," Eli commented.

"We're lucky your attack made the Reaper go away, or else it could have been worse for all of us," Kai stated.

"Oh. Thank you, Kai," I smiled.

Then a nurse came in and gave us trays of some breakfast food. We decided to eat first before continuing to talk. Fortunately, the nurse came to take our empty trays when we finished eating. After that, Eli started the conversation.

"Man that was some intense and awesome time we had, huh?" Eli said excitedly.

"Awesome? I think it was more scary than awesome," I doubted.

"That's true, but when we rescued Kai, I felt like a real Pro Hero, you know!" Eli explained. "I guess the rescue training with Teach Thirteen was worth it!"

I smiled at that. "Yeah, I guess so. I'm just glad that we're all alive. I thought we were all going to die there."

"Fortunately, yes," Kai spoke up. "However, I don't think I want to be in that kind of situation again."

Eli and I nodded in agreement.

"How is your back, Kai?" I asked.

"It's fine right now, but most likely I have to stay in the hospital for it to heal, so I don't think I will be able to go back to the internship," he answered.

"Oh..." I was sad to hear that. "I see. That's too bad."

"That sucks, man, but hey, you deserve the rest bro," Eli added.

Suddenly, the door opened, and we turned our attention to that. Two people came in. One was Time Lord and the other was a man in a blue costume and helmet, which had a visor and a fin attached to the top. He was the Normal Hero: Manual.

"Yo, Manual Senpai!" Eli greeted.

"Hello, Eli. Sorry to intrude, but there's someone who wants to see you all," Manual said.

"Huh? Us?" Eli said.

That someone came into the room. He was wearing a black suit, but he had also had the face of a dog.

Eli and Kai knew who this person was as Eli stood up from his bed. I didn't know who this person is, but he looked like someone very important. He actually reminded me of the Musutafu Police Chief Fukurou from when Felicia and I helped Speed Girl and Detective Tezuka stop the Rakugaki.

"This is Kenji Tsuragamae," Time Lord introduced the man. "He is the chief of the Hosu City Police Force."

"Oh!" I gasped as I stood up.

"Oh, there's no need for you to stand up, woof. I only just want to talk with you three, just as I did with another trio of young students," Chief Tsuragamae assured.

'Another trio? I guess he means Shoto, Midoriya, and probably their classmate Iida.' I thought. I remembered that Shoto went to go help Midoriya, and Eli mentioned that Iida was in the city.

"You are all UA students as well, right, woof?" He asked as we nodded back. "I see. It seems like you UA students get into a lot of trouble. Anyway, you three should know this, but when a Quirk was discovered and societies were adjusting with the rise of Quirk users, the Police Force declared and decided to take on the leadership and standard to not allow the use of a Quirk. That is why heroes were created to fill the gap. To use a power that can kill someone easily, though denounce, is accepted. However, unlicensed individuals without supervision or specific instructions by licensed heroes, violate their action."

Eli and I gasped.

"Hey, wait... are you saying that we are arrested for helping out friend, man?!" Eli asked, looking offended.

"While I understand the feeling behind what you all did, it is still a violation, according to the law we have here." Chief Tsuragamae looked at me, and I responded by looking at him. "I do know that some countries, like the USA for example, do allow someone as young as 15 years old to be a full-on licensed, certified Pro Hero, but here in Japan is different. We don't allow minors with Quirks to do something like what American minors are allowed to do. Even with a probationary license, they still need guidance and are supervised by older, full-time Pro Heroes from a full-time hero agency."

'What's he saying is right. It reminds me of what Chief Fukurou told Felicia and me,' I thought.

"Still that doesn't mean we should do nothing when our friend Kai here was in trouble!" Eli walked up towards the man, and that snapped me out of my thought.

"W-wait, Eli!" I said.

Time Lord stepped in. "Hold it! Give him time to explain. Wait for him to finish."

Eli stopped walking as the chief continued.

"However, fortunately, there were few witnesses and the news media only stated that they rescued three more injured UA students away from the major chaos, assuming that they were attacked by a Nomu, who was stopped and apprehended at a nearby construction site. I take it that was your work in some way. We can conclude that you guys were injured and escaped from the Nomu and that's that. Therefore, you guys are off the hook, woof," Chief Tsuragamae said, giving us a thumbs-up.

Eli and I smiled as that as the former gave a thums-up too, and Kai grinned.

"Even so, we are still punished for negligent in our supervisory duties," Manual admitted as he cried softly.

"Cheer up, Manual Senpai! At least everything is well in the end," Eli stated happily.

"I envy that opportunistic attitude of yours, Eli, but yes, you're right. I just hope that you learned your lesson to not go off on your own," Manual said.

"Huh? Oh yeah... Well, I was looking for Iida when I ran into Arisa, anad we saved our friend Kai here," Eli explained.

"However, there is still one mystery left," Chief Tsuragamae said. "You three have met the Hero Killer's apprentice?"

"We nodded as we remembered the Reaper. When I activated my Quirk and created the blinding light, Reaper had disappeared from the scene.

"I see. We haven't found anything at the sight nor was there any report of a murder incident since the arrest of the Hero Killer Stain. However, we will continue the investigation and find the apprentice. Above all..." The chief bowed to us. "I thank you for your work, like a real Pro Hero."

Eli, Kai, and I grinned at that.

"Anyway, time is up. I have to get going." Time Lord said as he turned to the door, but he stopped for a moment. "Kai."

Eli and I noticed Kai towards his dad. "Once you are out of the hospital, you should greet our client. Fortunately, the cat has returned to the orphanage on its own, but she wants to say thank you in person."

"...Sure," Kai replied. Time Lord nodded and exited the room.

Manual and Chief Tsuragamae left the room too. Soon, a doctor came in to tell Eli, Kai, and me the results of our check-ups.

I was uninjured so I can leave in the afternoon. Eli's cut on his chest wasn't too deep. Though he did lose some blood, he would regain his strength back so he can leave later in the day. Kai's back wasn't bad and he didn't have any permanent damage. Though he would need to stay in the hospital for a few more days to recover, which probably meant he might not return to his internship.

Once the doctor left, the three of us talked to each other.

"Kai, were you interning with your dad Time Lord?" I asked him.

"What makes you say that?" he questioned.

"Yeah, I was thinking the same thing because of what your dad said before he left," Eli added.

Kai sighed and admitted, "Yes, I was interning with my parents at T.L. and Galactic Agency here in Hosu City."

"I think it's good that they gave you the offer," I was glad that Kai got an internship from his parents.

"Sure does. Were you doing hero work before the attack happened?" Eli asked.

"I was looking for a lost cat for one of my old teachers," Kai revealed.

"That sounds nice," I commented.

"Yeah, but how did you end up fighting a Nomu?" Eli questioned.

"While I was searching for the cat, I heard an explosion in town and saw the Nomu on the loose. Then I met up with Midoriya, who was looking for his friend Iida. Apparently Iida interned in Hosu City to get revenge on the Hero Killer Stain for attacking his brother Ingenium. While we searched, a Nomu got in our way. I decided to distract it so Midoriya can keep looking for his friend," Kai explained.

"Really? But that was dangerous," I stated.

"Yeah, especially when you and I saw how tough that Nomu was at the USJ," Eli mentioned.

"I know, but it was the only thing I can do at the time. When it was too much for me to handle, I texted my location to everyone in class. I hoped that someone would come to help," Kai continued.

"I'm glad Eli and I came in time to help you," I said.

"You're lucky I was interning for Manual," Eli said. "Oh yeah. Arisa, why were you in Hosu City?"

"I was on patrol with Endeavor and Shoto Todoroki," I admitted.

"You chose Endeavor for you internship?" Kai asked.

"Yes," I nodded.

"Wow. You made a bold choice picking him," Eli commented.

"Um, thanks," I sweat-dropped. "We were here because Endeavor wanted to stop the Hero Killer Stain. When I got Kai's location text, Shoto also got a location text, but from Midoriya, and we decided to split up. Then I ran into you Eli, and we decided to find you, Kai," I continued.

"Oh. Thank you, Arisa and Eli, for helping me out," Kai thanked us.

"Um, you're welcome, Kai," I smiled.

"No prob. That's what friends are for," Eli said. "Man, saving Kai from the Nomu was one thing, but the three of us facing the Hero Killer's apprentice Reaper was crazy."

"The Reaper was a tough opponent," Kai stated.

"She almost would have had us if it wasn't for Arisa's light making her leave the fight," Eli added.

I remained silent when last night's incident was brought up. Thinking about it made me feel scared, and I decided to clear my head.

"If you two don't mind, I'm going to get some fresh air," I got up from the bed and took my cell phone.

"Okay," Kai said.

"Sure thing," Eli nodded.

Then I left the room.

I walked to the common room/lounge in the hospital, where the patients can relax outside of their rooms, meet with visitors, chat with others, etc.

When I got there, I looked out the window as I remembered about last night's events.

'I can't believe what happened last night. Kai was in danger because of a Nomu, and then he, Eli, and I had to face Reaper, the Hero Killer Stain's apprentice. It was all really dangerous and we almost could have died if it wasn't for my Quirk forcing the Reaper to retreat and getting the hero's attention,' I thought.

'It was more terrifying than fighting the Dreamweaver and the Rakugaki. Especially since the fight against the Dreamweaver was in the Dream World, and Speed Girl and Detective Tezuka were there to help fight the Rakugaki,' I remembered.

'This time it was just Kai, Eli, and me. Even though Eli and I got Kai away from the Nomu, encountering Reaper was terrible. She attacked Eli, and Kai was too injured from the Nomu to fight, so it was all up to me. Because of me being a pacifist and scared of her, the only thing I could do was send up a light. If I didn't do that in time or if it didn't make her retreat, would we have died right there? If the heroes didn't see my light attack, would we have been okay?' I was so confused.

Then I looked at my phone. 'Because of what Chief Tsuragamae said, no else should know about what happened last night. I wish I could talk to Felicia or my parents about this, but I can't tell them. Maybe I can talk to Shoto since he was in the city and he's here in the hospital. Though I'll have to find his room first' I decided.

Suddenly, my phone rang and the caller was Felicia so I answered.

"Hello?" I started.

"Arisa, are you okay?" She asked me worriedly.

"Um, yes I'm fine," I responded.

I heard her sigh in relief as she said, "Oh thank goodness. I just saw you, Eli, and Kai on the news about the incident in Hosu City. I also saw Midoriya, Todoroki, and Iida on the news too. I just wanted to see if you were alright," Felicia stated.

"Thanks for calling. I'm okay, and so are Kai and Eli. I think Midoriya, Todoroki, and Iida are okay too," I told her.

"That's splendid to hear. Well, I have to get going now. I'll try to talk to you later," She said.

"Okay, bye," I ended the call.

'It felt good to talk to Felicia, even though I can't tell her what really happened,' I thought.

Then I heard a familiar voice call out to me.

"Arisa?" I turned around and saw who it was: Midoriya from Class 1-A.

I saw that he had bandages wrapped on his left leg and right arm. He wore a hospital gown and was walking with a crutch to help him. He also had his cell phone.

"Midoriya? Are you okay?" I asked as I approached him.

"Yeah. I'm a little hurt, but it's nothing too bad. What are you doing here? Are you okay?" he inquired.

"I was here last night patrolling with Endeavor and Shoto when the attack happened, but I'm okay. Actually, I'm not injured at all," I revealed.

"Wow, you're lucky. Wait, you chose Endeavor for your internship?" he asked.

"I did," I nodded.

"That's a bold choice, given how he can be sometimes," Midoriya stated.

"Um, thanks," I sweat-dropped. "Oh. How's Shoto doing?"

"Todoroki? He's doing fine. That reminds me, how's Kai doing?" he asked.

"He's fine too," I told him.

"That's great to know," Midoriya smiled.

"Midoriya, do you know where Shoto is?" I questioned.

"Yeah. He, Iida, and I are in the same room. Oh, Iida was here last night too," he mentioned.

"I know. Eli told me. Can you take me to see Shoto? I'd like to talk him about last night," I said.

"Sure," Midoriya nodded. "Wait, Eli was here too? How's he doing?"

"He's fine too," I stated.

"That's good," Midoriya said.

Then he led the way as I followed him to his hospital room.

In the hallway, I decided to ask him something.

"Midoriya, what happened to you, Shoto, and Iida last night?" I questioned.

Midoriya had an unsure look on his face when he answered, "Well, we can talk about that when we get to the room."

'What was that about?' I thought.

"Okay. Also, were you talking to someone else before you talked to me?" I pointed to his cell phone.

Then Midoriya calmed down and said, "I got a call from my friend Uraraka. She wanted to know if I was okay from what happened last night."

"That's nice," I commented.

Soon after, we reached Midoriya's hospital room. He opened the door as I followed him in.

"Hey guys, I brought someone over," Midoriya said as I came through the door.

"Arisa?" Shoto asked.

"Kawasaki?" Iida was surprised.

I saw that Shoto had a bandage wrapped on his left arm and a small one on his left cheek. He wore a hospital shirt and pants.

Iida had a bandage wrapped on his chest and arms. Plus his arms were in a sling. He wore a hospital gown.

"Shoto, are you alright?" I asked.

"Yes, I'm fine. What about you?" Shoto questioned.

"What are you doing here?" Iida added.

"I'm fine. I'm not injured at all. I'm here because I was interning at Endeavor Agency with Shoto here and we were on patrol when the attack happened," I answered the questions in order.

"Do you know how Eli is?" Iida wanted to know.

"He's doing okay. He, Kai, and I are staying in the same room," I said.

"I met up with Kai when the attack in the city happened," Midoriya mentioned.

"Kai is okay too. They're both injured a bit, but it's nothing too serious," I continued.

When I said that, both Shoto and Iida got quiet, and Iida looked troubled.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Midoriya, Arisa," Shoto started. "Iida got back his test results."

Midoriya and I looked at Iida, waiting for him to explain.

"My left hand might have permanent damage," Iida revealed.

That news shocked Midoriya and me.

"What?" I was concerned.

"Permanent?" Midoriya was surprised.

"Both my arms are pretty torn up, but the injury to my left arm was especially severe. The damage was to my brachial plexus, which means I'll have trouble moving my fingers and my hand might have some numbness. Apparently, there's a chance it can be healed with nerve transplant surgery," Iida continued.

"That sounds like good news," I tried to lighten the mood. "If you guys don't mind me asking, what happened to all of you?"

The guys were silent for a moment before Midoriya spoke to his classmates, "Do you guys think we should tell her?"

"I don't know," Iida was unsure.

"I think we should," Shoto suggested, which surprised the guys. "Arisa was here during the incident so she deserves to know what happened. Also, she can be trusted because we're childhood friends."

"What?" Midoriya and Iida were surprised.

"You two? Childhood friends?" Midoriya was shocked.

"Why haven't you told us this before?" Iida questioned.

"I didn't think it was that important at the time," Shoto casually stated.

The rest of us sweat-dropped from what Shoto said.

"Well, if Todoroki says you can be trusted Arisa, then I guess we can tell you what happened to us," Midoriya decided.

"Thank you," I said. "If you guys want, I can tell you what happened to Kai, Eli, and me because I think you should also know about it."

"That does sound fair," Iida commented.

"Okay," Midoriya accepted, and Shoto nodded.

"I will start," Iida began the explanation. "I chose Manual for my internship here at Hosu City so I can find the Hero Killer Stain and stop him for injuring my brother Ingenium."

'That's what Eli told me before we searched for Kai,' I thought.

"When the villain attack, fire, and explosion happened last night, I saw the Hero Killer out of the corner of my eye and I went after him. I managed to find him before he could kill a Pro Hero, but the Hero Killer was too much for me. Then he paralyzed me somehow. I was so consumed with anger and vengeance that I wasn't thinking as I normally would," Iida stated.

Then Midoriya was next. "When last night's attack happened, I was shocked that were Nomu there so I thought the League of Villains might be involved. While I tried to look for them, I was also searching for Iida because I knew he was in Hosu City. When I heard Manual shouting and wondering where he was, I theorized that Iida was looking for the Hero Killer. While I was searching, I ran into Kai and told him about Iida and the Hero Killer. But then a Nomu spotted us and was ready to attack. Kai decided to fight it by himself so I can keep searching for Iida."

'That would make sense why Kai was fighting the Nomu,' I thought.

"Luckily, I remember what the news said about the Hero Killer, and I found him, Iida, and the Pro Hero Native in a dark alleyway. I arrived in time before Stain could attack Iida, and I attacked him. Then I secretly sent my location to my classmates, thinking at least one of them would show up. I tried to fight Stain, but he was too strong for me, and then I was paralyzed by him."

Now it was Shoto's turn. "After you and I split up to go the separate locations, Arisa, I found Midoriya and the others, and saved him from the Hero Killer. I attacked Stain as best I could, but he was too much for me too. When he was about to get me, somehow Midoriya attacked him. Midoriya correctly guessed that the paralysis effect of Stain's Quirk depended on the victim's blood type. Then Midoriya and I attacked the Hero Killer together, but it was still hard. Luckily, Iida was able to move again and the three of us worked together to defeat Stain."

"Well, I'm glad you guys are okay after that," I commented.

"But that's not all that happened," Iida said.

"Huh?" I was confused.

"After we tied up Stain, and the Pro Hero Native helped us, we met up with some other Pro Heroes, who would call an ambulance for us and the police to arrest Stain," Midoriya started.

"Suddenly, a flying Nomu came and took Midoriya," Iida continued. "Before any of us could help him, Stain broke free and for some reason saved Midoriya and killed the Nomu."

"Really?" I was surprised.

"Yes," Shoto answered. "After that, Stain went on about purging society of fake heroes and pathetic criminals to make a stronger society, and the only true hero is All Might. When he said that and we saw his face, none of us could move. Then Stain was knocked out cold somehow while standing."

"Actually, I overheard from the doctors what happened to Stain," Midoriya said, which made us all look at him. "One of his broken ribs pierced his lungs, which is what probably knocked him out."

"I can't believe you guys went through all that," I was shocked.

"However, no one else will know what happened," Iida mentioned. "Earlier today, we were visited by Police Chief Tsuragamae. He told us that what we did was heroic, but illegal without our hero licenses. Normally, that would mean we would get into serious legal trouble."

"Though, with few witnesses, the news report will say that Endeavor defeated Stain," Shoto added. "We won't get any credit, but at least we'll still get to be heroes."

"Well, at least you guys stopped Stain, and you can still be heroes. It sounds like you three did a great job," I tried to cheer them up.

"Thank you, Arisa," Shoto said.

"So Arisa, what happened to you, Kai, and Eli last night?" Midoriya questioned.

Then I told them about last night with Eli and I saving Kai from a Nomu, and the three of us facing the Reaper. I also told them about Chief Tsuragame visiting us as well, and how Kai and Eli were doing.

"Wow, you guys went through a lot last night too," Midoriya commented.

"Even though the Reaper escaped, at least you and your friends also made it out okay," Shoto added.

"It's good to know you, Kai, and Eli are alright. I'm sorry that my vendetta had Eli worried about me. I will apologize to him when I get the chance," Iida stated.

"Thank you for you kind words," I said. "I'm glad you guys captured the Hero Killer, but it sounded like it was tough fighting him. It's too bad the Reaper escaped from the guys and me before the Pro Heros showed up."

"I can't believe the rumors about the Hero Killer having an apprentice were true. Well, the important thing is you and the guys survived," Midoriya replied.

"He's right. The three of us fighting the Hero Killer wasn't easy. We still have work to do to become heroes," Shoto mentioned.

Iida was silent for a moment and looked down, which we noticed.

"Iida?" I was concerned.

"Are you okay?" Midoriya asked.

"When I came across the Hero Killer, I stopped thinking rationally. The first thing I should have done was call Manual, but I got lost in my own anger," Iida explained.

"I hate the Hero Killer so much, but I can't deny he spoke the truth. That's why, until I'm able to call myself a real hero, I'll leave my left hand as it is," he revealed.

"Really?" I was shocked.

"Are you sure?" Shoto asked.

"Iida, I feel the same way," Midoriya stated with right hand clenched into a fist and held out.

I looked at Midoriya's hand and saw some scars on it.

'I never noticed those before on his hand. Did those happen to him before the Sports Festival or during it?' I thought.

"Let's get stronger, together." Midoriya said as both he and Iida nodded in agreement.

'That's nice for them,' I smiled.

I noticed Shoto looking at them in slight shock before he looked down.

"I feel kind of bad," he admitted.

"About what?" Midoriya was curious.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Whenever I'm involved, someone's hand gets all messed up. Is something wrong with me?" Shoto questioned himself.

We were confused by what he was saying.

"Am I cursed?" Shoto stated.

For some reason, Midoriya, Iida, and I laughed at what he said.

"Todoroki, I didn't know you had a sense of humor," Midoriya said in between laughs.

"Me neither," I commented.

"This isn't a joke. I'm like the hand crusher or something," Shoto calmy said.

That just made the rest of us laugh even more.

After that, I left their room and headed back to my hospital room. There I told Kai and Eli about what happened to the other trio, and about telling the others about our incident with Reaper.

"Man, I can't believe those guys fought the Hero Killer and beat him," Eli commented.

"That was surprising," Kai added.

"It's great that they did that and come out of it okay for the most part. Though the Reaper got away from us, which means she might return someday," I got worried.

"Don't worry, Arisa. If we face Reaper again, we're gonna be ready for her," Eli tried to cheer me up. "Right, Kai?"

"I think so," Kai calmly responded.

Hearing them say that made me feel a little better.

"Um, right. Thanks guys," I told them.

Soon enough, a doctor came into our room and told me that I can be discharged from the hospital now. After he left, I pulled the curtains around my bed to cover me as I changed into my hero costume. When I finished changing, I opened the curtains and the guys saw me in my costume again.

"Wow, you look good in your hero costume, Arisa. Almost like a magical girl from those tv shows," Eli commented.

"Thanks Eli. What about you, Kai?" I asked.

"You look nice," Kai simply said.

"Thank you," I replied.

Then I left the room, went to the front desk, and I was officially allowed to leave the hospital.

-My Hero Academia-

After that, I walked to Hosu Station, took the train to Gunma Station, got off there, and headed back to the Endeavor Agency.

Inside, I met up with the Flaming Sidekickers in the gym.

"Hey, Kawasaki. Good to see you're back here okay," Burnin greeted while doing some stretches with Kido and Onima.

"Hello, Flaming Sidekickers. Is Endeavor in his office?" I wondered.

"No, he's off patrolling in the city," Kido replied.

"And he wanted us to tell you something," Onima added.

"What is it?" I asked.

"He's letting you rest for today because of what happened last night in Hosu City," Burnin answered.

"Really? How come?" I further questioned.

"He said yesterday was rough for everyone so you could use a small break. It's also because Shoto isn't here, but he'll be back tomorrow," Burnin mentioned.

"Oh. Right," I sweat-dropped.

"Since you're here, how about you join us with training?" Burnin offered.

"Okay," I agreed.

I joined with the Flaming Sidekickers with their stretches, and I used the treadmills and stationary bikes with them.

A little while later, we had lunch in the cafeteria and then I went to my room to take a shower and rest from the exercising.

After the shower and changing into some casual clothes, I decided to read for a bit so I went to my closet and took out the book 'Paper Towns' by John Green from my backpack. I got comfortable in bed as I continued reading the book.

When I saw on my phone that I read for about an hour and that it was evening, I decided to stop for the day and call Felicia to see how she's doing.

"Hello?" Felicia said.

"Hi, Felicia," I started.

"Hi, Arisa. How are you?" She asked.

"I'm fine. I'm just taking it easy today because of what happened last night," I answered.

"I'm really glad you and the others are okay. The news reported that Nomu attacked Hosu City, and Endeavor stopped the Hero Killer Stain. Yesterday, did you get a location text from Kai too?" Felicia questioned.

"Yes, I did. Actually, he, Eli, and I were surprisingly in Hosu City at the time of the attack," I admitted.

"Oh. Well, I'm glad you and Eli were there to help Kai. I want to say I'm sorry for not coming over to help," She stated.

"Why are you sorry?" I was confused.

"When I got Kai's text, I thought about going to help because there might be trouble. I used the Joogle Map App on my phone and when I saw I was far away, I thought I wouldn't make it in time to help. I even told myself that the text could be a mistake and there was no problem. I'm really sorry I didn't come to help you and the others," Felicia explained sorrowfully.

"No, it's okay Felicia. Kai's text was a little strange. Also, what happened yesterday was really dangerous and scary so it was probably good you didn't come over. I'm just glad it's over and everyone is okay," I tried to cheer her up.

"Thank you for cheering me up Arisa," She sounded happy again. "I'm glad you and the others are alright."

"You're welcome. So, how has your internship been so far? Have you done any hero work? Are there other interns with you?" I inquired.

"It's still good. There are other interns with me. Momo Yaoyorozu from Class 1-A, and Itsuka Kendo from Class 1-B. So far, we've been following Uwabami to her photo shoots and interviews. We haven't done any hero work yet, but I'm sure we will at some point," Felicia answered.

"That sounds nice that you're with Momo and Kendo, and I hope you three do some hero work too," I said.

"Thank you, Arisa. Well, I have to go now. Ta ta," She told me.

"Okay, bye," I ended the call.

When the phone call ended, I had some dinner in the cafeteria with the other Pro Heroes. Then I went back to the my room, changed into my pajamas, and got ready for bed.

'I still can't believe what happened in Hosu City,' I remembered back to yesterday's incident. 'Reaper attacked Eli, and Kai was too injured to move or help because of the Nomu. It was all up to me to protect them from her. I'm glad my light move made her retreat and the Pro Heroes showed up, but it could have been different if something else happened.'

'What if I was a second late and Reaper got me too? What if she didn't retreat and no Pro Heroes showed up? She could have killed us,' I got worried. 'Even though none of that happened, Reaper is still out there. Though Shoto and the others defeated and captured Stain, his apprentice could come back for him or something.'

I shook my head as I tried to think positively. 'Maybe I shouldn't think like that because it didn't happen. We all made it out okay, for the most part. Though if Reaper does return, I hope Kai, Eli, and I will be ready for her.'

With my mind at ease for now, I drifted off to sleep.
